Zach, can I catch you?

I want to make friends.

I haven't had any friends for the past three years.

It's all been my boyfriend's friends.

I'm jealous that you can eat that pizza.

It would depress me.

I was like, "You weak, weak, person.

If I do that, I will gain weight, I will get fat,

Oh, my God, no, no, no.

I feel bad for her....feel so heartbroken.

Because I really feel like it's really deep.

I'm joking around with you.I don't like when you do it!

I don't understand why it's so important for him

to talk down to me.

This is the true story...

Gorgeous, man.

Of seven strangers...[laughter]

Picked to live in a house...

Work together and have their lives taped...

Whoa!

To find out what happens...[gasping]

When people stop being polite...

And start getting real.

ALL: The Real World: Key West.

SVETLANA: I'm making a thing

for everybody to read-- just, like, simple facts about it.

We're not doing a research paper on anorexia.

We need to look up a ... psychologist I did.

and send her there.

Oh, 'cause it's that simple?

Because that, that's how people do it?

Don't speak like that to me.

I've been through a lot worse.

Okay, I understand, but nobody else has.

I just want everybody to know the basics

of what an eating disorder is.

Are you gonna give a lecture on, like...

No, I'm just going to be like, "Here, read this," instead of...

"Anorexia nervosa" is spelled this way.

No! Some common symptoms are...

Why? Why can't you give me more credit than that?

Tyler is so used to being so defensive, sometimes he says

things without thinking, but most of the time

he says it just to see

me hurt.

[doorbell rings]

Delivery for the roommates? Thank you.

What is this?

[gasping]Yes!

Today we got the message

that we will be starting our job tomorrow.

I'm definitely excited.

It's time to work

and not sit on my a*s and do nothing all day.

I have no idea what our job is gonna be.

An art gallery?

I have no clue about art.

ZACH: I've always thought that maybe we're involved

with deep-sea diving or sharks

or something that has to do with water.

I just can't wait to see what it is.

There are certainly people in this house

that don't need money.

I completely see that, and I just hope

that doesn't inhibit our business, you know,

as far as people not really needing

to make money and not taking it seriously.

I will be the first person who begs Svetlana,

"Pick up the pace or pack up-- quick."

JOSE: Svetlana is so up and down about her upbringing.

Sometimes she says, "Oh, yeah, I'm from Brooklyn,

I used to be poor and I have nothing."

Other times she's flaunting her BMW X

or the $, bag that she has.

It's very aggravating.

I need to make some money.

Yeah. You know what I mean?

In my business endeavors,

I always work by myself, so to be

out here and kind of rely on six other people

is gonna be different and interesting.

It's the only money you get. Absolutely.

You have to depend on other people. Yes.

What we need to do is just sit down and really look

at skills that everyone is good at, and weaknesses,

and like, troubleshoot from the very beginning.

Absolutely. I think we are going to have

our strong points, but I just know

that people are going to bump heads.

[cat yowls]

I'm doing some serious ghost hunting tonight.

JANELLE: I thought it would be fun

if we all went on the ghost tour,

so that we can get to know each other a little bit more

in the midst of Key West's

exciting ghost stories.

So how's everybody doing tonight?!

[whooping]

All right!

Well, welcome to Key West, welcome

to the original Ghost Tours of Key West.

My name is Brant. I will be your guide this evening.

What I'm going to be speaking about is a lot

of true history that happened here in this town.

This isn't funny. This is gonna be scary.

Now, follow me into the night.

Gather up close, people.

Can anyone tell me what this building was in the s

prior to being a theater and a nightclub?

A church. This was a church.

This was a Baptist church.

One night the preacher's wife

was teaching a Sunday school class.

The church burned down and children died with her.

Then about years ago, a man comes

into town, he's like, "This would be

an awesome cabaret theater."

Everything was fine until people started

sitting on the right-hand side of the stage,

because halfway through the performance

they could not hear actors anymore,

because all they would hear were screaming children.

[children screaming]

You scared me.

ZACH: Tyler was like,

"Ooh," and Svetlana's like, "Oh, my God,

I can't believe that happened."

and, and I'm... just like, "All right,

get me out of the rain."

We are learning about

a doll named Robby.

Robert the Doll, who is possessed

and makes people have bad luck.

It's true, he'll mess with you.

That's some freaky [bleep]. Oh, yeah.

JANELLE: Robby has a long history in Key West,

causing havoc in the town.

If anything happens at the house...

Oh, my God, if I left this house by myself...

But this is all I'm saying is, now, any coincidence

that's happened is automatically Robby.

Blame it on Robby?I'm so scared

to even mention his name

after all the scary things I've heard about it.

Uh-oh.

Robert!

You guys! Don't say it.

Don't say that [bleep].

Sorry, Robert.

JOHN: Here's what we got to do tonight.

What? We gotta make a Robby doll out of toilet paper.

A Robby doll? That won't be scary.

Yeah, it will. We'll get blood from the filets, dude,

and put blood all around it. No.

That's not scary. We gotta do something that's scary.

What, bro?I don't know.

You know what we could do?

One of us could go hide in the closet

and start making sounds

like a kid crying or something.

And then the Robby doll...

Jose, John and myself come up with a plan

to wrap Jose in toilet paper,

and turn him into Robert the Doll.

So one of us has got to go special ops

into the closet, dude.

Let them all go to bed,

thenspecial ops in the closet.

All right.

Ah, it's a lot of work.

[alarm beeping]

[muffled laughter]

[screaming]

[laughing]

SVETLANA: I think I just [bleep] myself.

Why is that funny?

That's really scary.Robby doll!

That was so scary. Oh, my God!

JOSE: We came through, boys.

JOHN: Today we're finally going to find out what we're

gonna be doing for the next four months

as far as work's concerned.

I dressed up. I think you look nice.

They look at me and say, "This kid can be responsible."

We're going to end up going there

and they're going to say, "Oh, by the way,

you're working on a pig farm."

Yeah."You like cleaning poop?

Okay, that's your job."

Wow, you look nice over there, Ty-Ty.

It's your first day at work.

My rule of thumb is you overdress

rather than underdress,

especially on the first day.

"Pineapple Gallery."

We pull up to this little location

that's got this sign that says

"Pineapple Gallery."

Hmm, I wonder what we're gonna do here.

I think this is going to be an art gallery.

I don't want to sell art.

I think it is.

Totally an art gallery.

This blows.

I don't get art.

I'm thinking that it's going to be very hard for me

to sell something I don't like,

so I'm not happy about it at all.

What could you possibly be pouting about right now?

She does not even know

what we're doing yet she's already pissed off.

We have this beautiful open space

and you're being an ornery little brat right now.

Just cut it out and be happy.

I don't want to sell art.

How do you know that's what we're doing?

Okay, but if it is, I don't want to sell art.

Hey! How's everybody doing?

ALL:Good.

Why don't you sit there and let me give you

a little presentation of what we're doing here.

My name is Ricky Croft.

Do you know that you and I

are going to do a business venture together?

Not at all. Okay.

Has anybody here started a business before?

May I ask what that is?

It's a pharmacy

and -D imaging center.

And you started it from ground level?

Well, yeah, with my...

I mean, I was the manager, basically.

Her parents did.

But you were involved in all the process.

My dad started it. But I did everything inside.

It's going to be a very big help

because we've got a short amount of time

to open this business.

Let's talk about the product.

Back in -,

a few gentlemen and I developed this product.

We are the first in the world to do this.

The product that I'm proud to say that I'm co-inventing of

is called Mystic Tan.

Mystic Tan!

So we come out with an automated spray booth.

We've created the even application.

It sprays for seconds.

It not only sprays to you, it sprays and wraps around you.

ZACH: I'm actually really excited.

I think a tanning salon might

attract a younger demographic

and maybe some pretty hot

little broads that, you know,

might want to tan it up a little bit.

This is how we're going to work it.

We're going to do a -

profit share here.

You sell a tan for $. You will get $

per tan.

The other $ is mine for giving you everything that you need.

All you're doing is supplying the labor.

The next step is talking about our timeline.

Tomorrow we've got painting, electrical and plumbing.

At the very end of this thing down here

we have a grand opening.

In days we're supposed to be open.

I tell you what I'm gonna do.

You have no money for that event.

So what I'm going to do is front you $, for the event.

Actually, I'm going to give it to you.

I don't care if you hire an event coordinator,

I don't care if you hire a monkey

juggling bananas out front, I don't care.

I care about when I come in here for the event,

I want people in here so it'll be fun.

What time are we showing up tomorrow?

:.Perfect. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Thank you.

TYLER: Just go around and say what our business experience is

and what our talents are

and what we hope to get out of this.

I know how to sell. I know how

to get people to buy.

I have received a degree in marketing,

with a minor in graphic arts, which means

I know how to play on computers a little bit.

The job is my main focus right now.

I know that I still have issues to work on.

I will not let that

fall into the shadows of the business.

I'll just put it on a little bit of a hold,

but I will do it.

I just want to, you know, just learn.

It's good that everybody can come out there

and kind of offer a different thing.

What's really important

is that when we're at our workplace,

that we can be colleagues and we can understand

that this is a role someone needs to play.

When we go home, I'd like to think that we can

then leave all that behind.

Someone spilled the tanning solution on the ground

like no big deal.

Okay, that needs

to get left there.Leave work at work.

Leave work at work.My main focus with this business

it to be smart financially.

I've done a lot of sales, and so my expectation for this

is to make as much money as possible.

I am a very driven person,

and some would say that I'm driven to a fault.

There's nothing worse in life than people that don't

fulfill their potential and just idly watch it

pass along by like a turd in a river just...

[blows raspberry]

I want my actions in the house,

my immaturity in the house not to reflect

on my capabilities in the workplace.

I work nonstop. I'm the type of person

you have to drag out of the workplace.

This will be a good experience for me to show Tyler

how savvy I am.

And maybe he'll look at me differently.

I just hope-- like Zach said--

whatever problems you have at work

we do not bring into the house.

I'm John, I'm .

I've been off the wagon for years.

I'm good with women and small children

with Janelle and Paula.

and I'll get on your nerves.

I'm just being honest.

Okay.

JANELLE: Nothing wrong with being honest.

TYLER: I'm not saying I'm going to avoid you, but, like...

Fine.

I just don't feel

like personalities should clash at work.

I think we should put all that to the side

and I feel like

me working with you,

even though we don't like each other,

we might get a lot more work done

if we put it aside. Whatever.

You know what? That's only your loss.

I've never met anybody in my life

that is so condescending to me for no reason.

You know what I'm trying to say.

I never treated him like ...

I never said anything to him, I just annoy him.

You have to understand I don't dislike you,

But that's your... It's not fair.

You can take it as you will.

I'm just saying... I'm saying to you...

Stop vocalizing every five seconds.

What I'm doing to her

is what my parents did to me,

is kind of say, "No, you're not going to get

away with this-- you're being ridiculous."

It's kind of tough love.

Because I don't think anyone in her life

puts her in her place.

I'm just telling you what I feel, whereas other people

simply roll their eyes or ignore you.

are saying that I'm annoying.
