I had a dream that this was

fruitful grounds

from the nightmare of lost
or damaged gear.

That's the thing
about fishing,

it's an adventure.

going to happen next,

but I have a dream.

in the canyon.

and so we decided to go up
the hill

and try to fish in
this canyon.

You know, we got to find a new
area with crab, see what

we can get.

With over 2 million pounds of
fleet-wide bairdi quota caught,

Captain Sig Hansen makes
a break from the pack to

a shallower part of the same
canyon as Johnathan,

risking all 120 pots

on the edge of the
trawler-laden fishable grounds.

We're trying to get these in
the water as fast as we can.

We're kind of on the grind
right now.

[Sig] We still got a lot of crab
to catch.

his engine room with duct tape

and a tarp until he arrives on
less crowded grounds,

Captain Keith contends with
water infiltrating

his diesel tanks,

threatening catastrophic
damage.

destroys everything.

You don't run salt water
through your fuel system.

And right now, we're at risk of
doing that.

And that will k*ll the engine.

We've got to get gear
off the boat.

conflict with them, we lose.

a northbound trek away from

the fleet, only to dump 160
baited pots on unproven ground,

thanks to
an engine room leak...

The wind is picking up
dramatically right now.

I mean, we're seeing gusts up
to 60 miles an hour.

Captain Keith prepares to see
what hand he was dealt

in 50 knot winds.

My strategy is stay
above the string.

The wind should help push us
right down on top of the thing.

Using his steel port wave wall
as a sail

to protect his crew,

and push the 370-ton
Wizard down his string.

This isn't going to
be pleasant.

I had such high expectations

season to start.

And all we've done so far is
