Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma (2026)

Post by bunniefuu »

[Deep, muffled breathing]

[Crew member] Hey, look.

[Deep breathing continues;

Indistinct chatter]

[Footsteps crunch on grass]

[Deep breathing stops]

[Indistinct speaker] Okay,

listen everybody.

[Chatter stops]

[Soft click]

[Insects chirp]

But her muffins

are just so good.

I know.

I'm gonna figure out the recipe

and I'll make you some.

What? No, no, no.

What am I supposed to do,

eat muffins all the time?

That's all I'm gonna do.

Hold on.

[Suffocated grunting]

Are you okay?

[Man yells, whimpers]

[Spear whooshes, flesh

squelches; Man grunts]

[Blood gushes]

[Woman screams]

[Spear whooshes, woman grunts]

[Flesh squelches:

She grunts]

[Suffocated whooshing]

[Sinister, strident music]

[Music halts]

[Music plays - Okay Kaya's

version of Nightswimming, by

R.E.M.]

...deserves a quiet night

The photograph on the

dashboard Taken years ago

Turned around backwards

So the windshield shows

Every streetlight

Reveals the picture in reverse

Still, it's so much clearer

I forgot my eggs

At the watershed

The moon's low

Nightswimming

(Nightswimming)

Deserves a quiet night

(Nightswimming)

I'm not sure all

these people understand

Nightswimming

It's not like years ago

The fear of getting caught

Of recklessness and water

- They cannot see me naked

- [Clock rings]

These things, they go away

- Replaced by every day

- [Ringing fades]

Nightswimming

Remembering that night

September's coming soon

I'm pining for the moon

And what if there were two

Side by side in orbit

Around the fairest sun?

That bright

Tight forever drum

Could not describe

Nightswimming

(Nightswimming)

You, I thought I knew you

(Nightswimming)

You, I cannot judge you

(Nightswimming)

You, I thought you knew me

(Nightswimming)

This one laughing quietly

(Nightswimming)

Underneath my breath

(Nightswimming)

Nightswimming

(Nightswimming)

The photograph reflects

(Nightswimming)

Every streetlight a reminder

(Nightswimming)

Nightswimming

(Nightswimming)

Deserves a quiet night

Deserves a quiet night

[Music concludes, resonates]

[She sighs]

[She scoffs softly]

Why so puffy?

I can't even get them on.

[She yelps softly]

[Playful yelling;

Pensive music]

So sorry.

Yeah, I just got into town

and I'm meeting Billy tomorrow.

- She says she wants to cook

me dinner, - [Music fades]

but I'll probably

just like crash

at a hotel tomorrow night and

then head back to the city

Thursday.

[Woman, on phone] Good. Wouldn't

want you marooned in the

wilderness

with Norma Desmond

from Sunset Boulevard.

Stop. She's not Norma Desmond

from Sunset Boulevard.

Didn't you say she's a recluse?

No. I mean, yeah...

she's reclusive, but she

seems like totally with it.

She just hasn't

acted in a while.

[Woman] Okay, I know you think

this is gonna help you crack the

reboot,

but can you just drop a pin

for me when you get there? Okay?

And watch out for any rusty

nails left lying around.

[She gasps]

Yes. They have Sweet

Tart Mini Chewy.

Anyway, what are

you up to tonight?

[Woman] I'm going to a

poetry reading with Thor,

that bisexual king

I've been seeing.

Hi to Thor.

- Hi from Kris.

- [Electronic music in store]

Oh. What up, Kris?

Thor says what up.

[Pensive music resumes]

Oh my God.

You'll never guess what they're

selling at this gas station.

[Woman] Methamphetamine?

ill*gal firearms?

Confederate flag decals for the

backs of various pickup trucks?

- No, Camp Miasma Part Six.

- [Music fades]

[Cash register beeps;

Soft music plays in store]

This too, please.

- [Woman] Hmm. Part Six.

- Like your hair, by the way.

[Woman] Is that the one

with the faces in the skin wall?

No, no. It's the one after that

where they try to like

course correct, back to basics.

It's actually pretty good.

It's one of the better sequels.

[Woman] You're such a nerd.

Thank you.

[Automatic sliding

doors open, chime]

[Doors close]

[She sighs]

[Metal rattles]

I have you in for one night.

- Is that correct?

- [Kris] Yeah.

Listen, I was just wondering,

do you have any rooms

with DVD players?

[He clicks his tongue]

DVD?

Like if I wanted to watch this.

[Front desk clerk]

Oh my gosh, yes.

- I'm in that movie.

- [She chuckles] What?

Yeah, they shot at the haunted

summer camp about 20 miles up

the hill. Camp Tivoli.

They filmed around here and they

cast some locals in some parts,

you know, to save money.

- But...

- sh*t.

Yeah, I actually,

I thought you looked familiar.

[She chuckles;

Awkward silence]

[Clock ticks;

Faint, uneasy music]

You know, I think I do have

a DVD player or two around here.

I'll just go look for them.

[Kris] Oh, there.

I think I see it.

[He blows loudly]

- Yahtzee.

- [Music surges abruptly]

[Music fades]

[DVD whirs in DVD player]

[Faint, uneasy music]

[Teen boy, in movie] Come on, I

thought you wanted to go

skinny-dipping.

[Teen girl, in movie] Yeah.

I mean, I don't know.

It's July, Megan.

The water's warm even at night.

No, it's not that. It's just...

isn't this that

defunct sleepaway camp

where those teenagers

got m*rder*d all those years ago

by that pervert

in the ceiling vent helmet?

Aw.

You scared of Little Death?

Scared he's gonna take

his big rusty spear and...

- Stop it.

- Penetrate you?

Anyway, that was years ago.

That freak has

been dead forever.

Haven't you heard?

Camp Miasma's

reopening this year.

Come on.

The water's gonna feel so good

on your body.

I promise.

[Deep, muffled breathing;

Water ripples]

[Sultry music fades;

Faint, uneasy music]

[Police officer, in movie]

It's over now. He's dead...

forever...

this time.

[Uneasy music continues]

No.

It's never over.

Don't you understand?

He's still down there

at the bottom of the lake.

He's still hungry.

[Tense, electric buzzing]

[Resonating exhalation;

Music concludes]

[Kris] Hey, so...

I'm almost to Billy's house.

But have you ever done a GPS

where it's just coordinates,

like numbers?

'Cause that's...

She just gave me numbers.

Great. Yeah, that's great.

So listen,

I just got a text from Tracy.

They want you to meet with the

head of the studio on Friday.

- Can you do Friday?

- [Kris] Um...

[Agent] Okay, I'm gonna confirm.

And remember, for the origin

story,

they're looking for

elevated, AKA woke.

So... I'm getting

another call. Bye.

[End-call beeps]

[GPS voice] Turn right

onto Frog Hollow Road.

Continue for 1,000 feet.

[Kris] What? There's no road.

[GPS voice] In 500 feet, the

destination is on your right.

- [Car rumbles]

- [Kris] Jesus.

[GPS voice] Return to the route.

- [Kris] What route? - [GPS

voice] Return to the route.

[Car bumps over pothole;

She exclaims]

[Deep, unsettling resonance]

[GPS voice] Arrived.

No.

[Wind whistles]

[Faint, uneasy music]

[She chuckles]

You gotta be kidding me.

[Music grows]

[She gasps]

[Branch thuds, resonates]

Hello?

[Music concludes]

Is anyone here?

[Wind howls]

[Faint, uneasy music]

Whoa.

[Music lingers]

[Music swells, fades]

[Music resumes]

[Film roll squeaks]

[Projector whirs]

[Shaky breathing in film;

Intriguing, atmospheric music]

[Deep, muffled breathing]

[Soft moaning in film]

[Door creaks]

[Shaky breathing continues]

[Deep breathing continues]

[Music grows]

[Deep breathing intensifies]

[Breathing and music stop]

[Kris gasps, startled]

[She breathes shakily]

[Ominous note builds]

[Note halts]

I feel like there's about

to be a jump scare.

[Footsteps approach]

[Pensive, intriguing music]

Hi.

I'm Billy Presley.

You must be the writer-director.

[Music brightens]

Yeah, hi.

[She chuckles]

You came out of nowhere.

I didn't know you were in here.

I'm sorry.

I saw you and I

wanted to scare you.

It's only fair, right?

You've already seen me.

[Wind howls, fire crackles]

- [Music concludes] - Sorry, my

day got kind of away from me.

I suddenly realized that I

didn't have any food for dinner,

so had to do

an emergency takeout run.

The options around here, as

you can imagine, are not that...

well, good.

So I hope you like

fried chicken.

[Cutlery clanks]

Oh, sh**t. I should have asked.

You're not vegan or

something, are you?

Gluten-free?

That's big right now, huh?

[She chuckles]

I love fried chicken.

Good.

Right answer.

I like fried chicken too.

Oh, those are greasy.

Those are good.

[Subtle, somber tone]

[Wind howls in distance]

- Now, if it gets too real,

- [Tone fades]

you can always turn it off.

That was promotional

for the home video release,

but I kinda like it.

Sorry, I didn't mean to...

[Billy] No, I'm sorry.

I'm sorry I wasn't here

when you showed up.

No, no, that space is amazing. I

just, I didn't realize that you,

you...

Or yeah, how did you choose

to live at the...

abandoned sleepaway camp

from the first Miasma film?

Well, isn't that obvious?

[She whispers] Someone's gotta

be here when Little Death comes

back.

What?

[Fire crackles]

[She chuckles]

Little Death isn't real.

Well, not with that

attitude he isn't.

- You see,

- [Unsettling, rising tone]

I discovered something

when I moved here.

There is a hole at

the bottom of the lake

where the movies come from,

and he is still

waiting down there.

And if you've seen his movies,

you know

[She whispers] he

always comes back.

[Tone fades]

[Manic laughter]

Oh my God, you thought that I

was some crazy lady, didn't you?

- [Kris] No.

- Yes, you did.

- I saw it on your face.

- No, I didn't.

You thought I was a full

bugs-under-the-skin recluse

crazy lady.

[She gasps]

Like, what's her name?

From... From Sunset Boulevard?

I know who you're talking about,

but I can't...

Yeah, I can't remember her name.

[Billy] Anyway, a real estate

agent showed me the old camp.

I thought it was sort of...

morbidly fitting, you know?

The first movie really left

its mark on me.

I needed to get

away from reality.

I like the seclusion,

the vastness of it all.

I can work on my paintings in

peace, and nobody bothers me.

Guess I bought myself a...

private alternate universe.

I totally get that desire.

Speaking of desire

[Wind howls in distance]

do you like dipping sauce?

I love dipping sauce.

I love dipping sauce, too.

[Tender guitar music;

Wind blows]

[Fire crackles]

[Resonating tap]

[Resonating tap]

[Deep, resonating tap]

[Heavy, sultry exhalation;

Sticky squishing]

[Music continues]

[Echoing crunches]

[Deep, muffled exhalation]

- [Music concludes]

- So Kris

here you are in my home

eating chicken.

Why don't you tell

me about yourself?

Oh, God. I don't know. I mean,

I'm sitting here with Billy

Presley.

- I don't wanna talk about

myself. - Now, don't flatter me.

[Kris] No, I'm not trying

to flatter you, but okay.

Well, yeah, um...

Well, I'm a filmmaker,

but you know that.

My work explores

the intersection of

queerness and cultural

depictions of monstrosity.

I made my first feature a couple

years ago for like, six dollars.

I saw it. Mm-hmm.

You saw Jouissance?

[Billy] Yeah.

I had to drive into town

to get enough Wi-Fi to rent it,

but yeah, I saw it.

I do my research.

What did you think of it?

Well...

- Oh, you hated it.

- No, I didn't hate it.

I

Well, you remade Psycho from the

perspective of the shower

curtain.

That was only the last third.

I just think it was

over my head is all...

It's a meta commentary on the

gender trouble inherent to the

slasher genre.

We're just different

generations is all.

[She sighs]

Anyway, yeah, audiences

mostly didn't get it either,

but enough critics liked it that

it opened some doors for me in

Hollywood,

and that's kinda where

this opportunity came from.

To remake Camp Miasma?

Yeah, which like on the surface

is like a weird career move for

me,

but see, I got it

all figured out.

What they don't know is that

the original Camp Miasma

- was basically my q*eer

awakening. - [Billy] Oh.

I'm gonna beat Hollywood

at its own game.

The execs all butter you up.

They tell you

your perspective is so fresh.

They call you the voice

of a generation,

but I know the real reason

they were willing to give me

the keys to this franchise.

It's zombie IP.

They need me to resurrect it.

Well, I guess if Little Death

has been k*lled so many times,

you could think of

him as a zombie.

[Kris] No, no, not a

zombie movie, zombie IP.

The IP itself is undead,

as in too problematic to reboot,

because of woke,

which in Hollywood right now

is a really big problem,

because intellectual property

from decades ago

is basically the only thing

anyone's willing to spend money

on anymore,

what with the capitalism being

so late and all.

And look, every long-running

franchise has skeletons in its

closet.

I mean, James Bond literally

assaults women in Goldfinger

and Thunderball,

and Mickey Mouse did blackface

- that one time.

- Mickey did that?

So what does a studio

do when there's easy money

just waiting to be made on a

movie franchise, just sitting

there dormant,

but it's one as blatantly

transphobic as Camp Miasma?

They hire a q*eer person

to paper over the ugliness,

give Little Death

a more tragic backstory,

weave in some perfunctory

message about gender, trauma,

being yourself against all odds.

Bam! Zombie IP resurrected,

shareholders get paid.

[Drawer slides]

Kris,

I didn't ask you

about your work.

I asked about you.

I want you to tell

me about yourself.

[Kris] Sorry.

I have a tendency to get kind

of fired up about that stuff.

Sometimes, I kinda

think I am my work.

Well, I'm sure that's not true.

Okay. Uh, let's see.

Uh, well, I'm 29.

I... grew up in the suburbs,

but I haven't really talked

to my family since shortly

after I came out.

I use she/they pronouns.

Are you married?

[Kris, chuckling] No. God, no.

No.

No, I'm poly.

What's poly?

Like polyamorous.

Oh, I don't know poly.

[Kris] Yeah. It...

Basically, I have a partner,

and then my partner

has another partner, too.

[Billy] Oh!

Kinda like cheating.

Yeah.

Yeah, but with game nights

where you have to hang out

with bisexual guys named Thor.

You don't sound too

excited about it.

No, I am. I am.

I just uh, I...

I don't know.

All that stuff has just

kinda always been

in the background for me,

like sex or whatever.

I mean, I love my partner.

Really, I do, and I want

their needs to be met.

But just for me,

sex has always felt like

kind of a distraction.

My primary partner tends

to be my work.

[Billy] I'm noticing a trend.

Yeah.

- I guess

- [Faint, uneasy music]

love, sex, all that stuff

has just never been easy for me.

I

Sometimes I think my art is just

like, a place for me to hide

from all that.

[Billy] Well, like

this camp is for me.

It's your own private

alternate universe.

[Chair scrapes]

Look, when I was younger,

sex was stressful for me, too.

I created some kind

of a block around it

that I couldn't quite name.

Exactly.

I had to find a way to get

out of my head.

And this helped.

[Wind howls;

Music fades]

[Under breath] Sorry.

- I'm sorry.

- No, you're good.

No, I mean I'm sorry about

bringing all this up.

We shouldn't be talking

about my sex life.

We've only just met.

Why not?

[Kris] 'Cause it's weird. I...

This is a work meeting.

I don't wanna be like

Me Too-ish, Me Too-y, Me Too...

Honey, I auditioned

for The Burning.

You know who created that?

You don't scare me.

And besides,

this isn't a business meeting.

We're eating fried chicken

and smoking weed,

and talking about

making art together.

Okay. Well, in that case, can

I ask you something personal?

Uh-huh.

Why'd you stop acting?

You had a few bit parts

and then you starred

in the original Miasma,

then you kinda just fell off

the face of the earth.

Well, they invited me back

for the sequel,

and the third one, too.

But I was pretty burnt out.

And after a while

they stopped calling.

I guess I just...

aged out.

Ms Presley, Billy,

I just have to say

I am a lifelong fan,

and I know we're

only just meeting,

but I feel very, very strongly

about the potential

of this collaboration.

- Here comes the hard sell.

- [Kris] But I'm serious.

I don't know how to explain it,

but I just know that being here

is gonna help me crack the

Miasma story.

I don't wanna make another dumb

sequel in the Camp Miasma

franchise.

I don't wanna make a remake

of a remake, of a remake.

Everything's a

remake of something.

I wanna make something that

feels fresh and new, but

timeless.

Maybe there is no Miasma movie,

it was based on a real serial

k*ller, Ed Gein.

It's like I said in my letter,

I mean, to me,

the soul of Camp Miasma

has always been

- that look in your character's

eye. - That look in my eye.

Exactly.

That look has been seared into

my memory ever since I saw it on

a VHS tape

I had absolutely no business

being able to watch as an

8-year-old.

If I can capture that look in

your eye again 35 years later,

then I will have done my job as

- the latest shepherd...

- As the latest shepherd

in the Camp Miasma legacy.

I know.

I read your letter.

It's a good pitch.

I'm just not convinced

that it'll work.

Why not?

Because you talk about it

so academically, and

Camp Miasma, it wasn't

about cultural depictions

of monstrosity or...

gender trouble or

any of that stuff.

It was about two

very simple things

flesh

and fluids.

[Wind howls]

[Tender guitar music]

[Kris] I really,

I really appreciate you...

yeah, taking the time, and I'm

sure our reps will be in touch,

and hopefully,

we can work something out.

But obviously, no worries

if things don't align and...

- [Billy] Kris.

- You decide not to.

[Billy] You don't need

to leave, you know?

- I made up the guest room

upstairs. - [Music continues]

That's very kind, but I should

probably get on the road.

[Kris] Well, it's a bit late to

drive, isn't it, especially in

this weather?

I don't wanna impose any more

than I already have. Really.

It's not an imposition.

- It's okay.

- Kris.

Kris, I'm asking you to stay.

[Kris chuckles]

Is that an order?

Yeah.

Yeah, that's an order.

We can get to know each other.

We can watch my print

of the first film together.

You can tell me more about

that look in my eye, and well

[Billy chuckles]

We have to be on

the same page if...

We're gonna be working together?

Please.

We're already working together.

[Music fades]

[Wind howls]

[Ominous hissing]

[Hissing fades]

[Cellphone keyboard clicks]

[Sent-message alert]

[Incoming message alert]

[She inhales deeply]

[Incoming message alert]

[She sighs]

[Billy, in distance] Yeah

I like her.

It's been a long time since

I've let someone really see me.

My acting or my art.

[Faint, uneasy music;

Floor creaks under foot]

Yeah.

You know what? I agree.

[She breathes heavily]

Well, she's more in her head

than in her body, but,

well, she's got potential.

- Hold on. - [Deep, thick thuds

in distance]

I hear something.

[She breathes heavily]

[Music continues]

[Deep, muffled breathing]

[Music continues]

[Breathing and music intensify]

[Ice cracks]

[Music and breathing

halt, resonate]

Morning, sleepyhead.

I didn't know what you wanted

for breakfast,

so I got a variety pack

from the Costco.

Look at that.

Isn't that cute?

You got your Frosted Flakes

and your Froot Loops,

and your Cocoa Krispies.

There's a little

something for everyone.

- Is something wrong?

- No.

Well, actually, yes. Sorry.

I'm just gonna say this

even if it sounds weird.

Is there, um

Is there someone else

in the house with us right now?

What are you talking about?

Uh, last night before I went to

bed, I thought I heard talking.

It sounded like maybe you

were talking to someone else.

I don't think so.

As far as I know,

it's just the two of us here.

[Kris] There was no one in

your bedroom last night?

Your dead taxidermied mum, just

to throw like, a totally random

example.

Nope,

just the two of us.

If you don't believe me,

you can go look.

- No, I believe you.

- No, I'm serious, go look.

It's okay.

I must've been making it up.

Go look.

[Faint, ominous music]

[Door creaks]

[Music fades;

Floor creaks under foot]

[Abrupt, sinister note;

She gasps]

[Note halts;

She breathes heavily]

[Fake, evil laughter]

[Genuine laughter]

[Intriguing, pulsating music]

She's amazing.

I mean, she's clearly

the same person

from Miasma I,

the final girl,

but she's so much more, too.

Like, she's weird and,

like sexy and tough,

but also like really funny, too,

and she's a stoner.

Oh, God.

I mean, it's amazing.

There is so much more to explore

in her that the first film

barely even hinted at.

- Yeah. - [Kris] I mean... Yeah,

I'm obsessed.

Tell the studio I'm obsessed.

[Agent] You're still just

thinking a cameo though, right?

No, no. It's her.

I mean, the whole

movie's gotta be her.

Did I tell you that

she literally lives

at the abandoned sleepaway camp

from Miasma I?

[Agent] You

mentioned that, yeah.

Come on.

Are we thinking a

supporting role?

'Cause I still need to set

expectations with the studio.

Hail Satan.

[Kris] No, listen to me. You're

not hearing what I'm saying.

She is the lead, okay?

The final girl again.

[Agent] Kris, taking over the

Miasma franchise is a really,

really big deal.

The studio is taking a chance

on you, okay?

I know you love your trivia,

but they're not gonna wanna

build a franchise reboot

around a 60-year-old lady

who doesn't even have a

Wikipedia page. No offense.

What about

those new Halloween movies?

Those made like a billion

dollars and they starred a

60-year-old lady.

- [Music stops]

- Or... or maybe.

- Never mind. Those rumors

aren't true. - [Agent] Kris!

- Billy Presley is not Jamie Lee

Curtis. - [Music resumes]

You know, she's

not Neve Campbell.

She's not even, what's her name

from the first Nightmare on Elm

Street movie?

Heather Langenkamp.

[Agent] Yeah, exactly.

This is a niche property, Kris.

Okay, how can I explain?

Can you tell me the name

of the lead actress

from the Sleepaway Camp movies?

Felissa Rose in the original and

Pamela Springsteen in the

sequels,

who fun fact is

Bruce Springsteen's sister.

There you go.

I'd say in 2026,

Billy Presley has about as much

star power as Bruce

Springsteen's sister.

Honestly, if I were

putting money on it,

I bet they don't even know

who she is, okay?

So just focus on

the origin story.

That's what this studio

is eager for you to crack

and then we'll be pushed closer

to a green light.

Fine. Whatever.

[Music stops;

She sighs]

Well, how about final cut?

Any word on final cut?

Kris, we've talked about this.

That's not how this works.

[Squash ball resonates in court]

Are you playing

squash right now?

You know, Gen Z.

[Agent groans]

[Agent's voice breaks] TikTok.

SpongeBob.

[Disconnected tone]

[She sighs]

[Silence]

[Deep exhalation;

Intriguing, anticipatory music]

[Ice cracks]

[Music fades;

Curtains rattle]

[Billy moans, softly]

[Wind whistles]

[Pensive, melancholic music]

[Music continues]

[Light clicks;

Projector whirs]

[Tense, horror film music]

[Pencil scribbles on paper]

[Music fades]

[Arcade game beeps]

Chuck is such a stud.

[Chuck] Come on.

[Man 2] Go on. This

is how you do it.

This is how you do it.

- Studs Terkel.

- [Chuck] Yes!

[Chuck grunts;

Game beeps]

Strange mating ritual.

Says our Lady of Corduroy.

Like you'd even know, Squeak.

[Faint, subtle hissing]

[Deep, resonating exhalation]

[Door bells chime;

Delicate, melancholic music]

[Joyful indistinct

chatter in distance]

[Projector whirs;

Music continues]

[Pencil scribbles on paper]

[Chatter continues]

[Store clerk] Where is it

that you are going?

Excuse me?

- I said,

- [Music concludes]

where exactly is it that

you kids think you're going?

Uh, we're the... new counselors

at the sleepaway camp

on the hill, Camp Miasma.

No.

No, no, no, no, no.

[He whispers] He is still

sleeping down below,

and a child like you, so...

young and nubile,

[Unsettling music rises slowly]

surely you'll wake

him, won't you?

I'm sorry, sir.

I didn't mean to...

You're doomed.

You're doomed!

[Music fades]

Hey, what's eating you, Squeak?

[Delicate, melancholic music]

I'm just thinking about

what it's gonna feel like.

[Girl chuckles]

What, losing your virginity?

No.

Dying.

Well.

[Music concludes]

[Engine dies down]

[Man and Chuck

exclaim in mock fear]

[Mockingly] We're

out of freakin' gas.

That means we're marooned until

the campers get here tomorrow.

[They exclaim in mock fear]

[Indistinct chatter;

Fire crackles]

[Man 2] Alright, alright. Who's

gonna do the honors this year?

Huh? Huh? Huh?

The honors?

Yeah, who's telling

the origin story,

the tale of Little Death?

[Abrupt, sinister music]

[Chuck] Go for it, man.

It's all on you.

This part's transphobic.

- [She whispers] Shut up.

- Sorry.

[Man 2] So,

This was a long time ago,

a long time ago,

before I was even a

camper here myself.

But the counselors,

they used to talk

about this one kid,

a real freak house,

who never said a single word

to anyone all summer.

He had this special arrangement

with the camp

to have one bed

in the boys' bunk

and one bed in the girls' bunk.

That's freak-house behaviour.

[Man 2] This kid,

see, he was a boy.

He had a little wiener,

so he had to be, right?

- Right.

- [They laugh]

But on certain days of the week,

like it was the most

normal thing in the world

[Music grows]

he would pack up all his stuff

and move over to the girls'

side of camp,

and then he would show up

to swim practice

in a bikini!

[They gasp]

On Sundays, Tuesdays,

and Thursdays, he was a boy,

and the rest of the week,

honest to God,

this little schizophrenic

thought he was a girl.

[Sinister music continues]

Major freak house alert.

The kid's parents were

even bigger freak houses

than him.

They were hermaphrodites.

They met at a mental hospital,

k*lled the guards, and escaped.

The mom dressed as a boy

and the dad dressed as a girl.

They raised their son to be a

different gender every day of

the week

until he finally

lost his mind, too.

Easy-Bake freak house.

He never had a chance.

Or...

freak house bake oven is

what I meant to say actually.

[Music concludes;

She chuckles]

[She whispers] Going to pee.

[Man 2] Eventually, there was

an incident at swim practice.

[Music resumes]

Some of the kids, they made the

mistake of teasing him, and...

he just went ballistic.

[Muffled laughter]

So they drowned him.

I mean, they had to.

Parents covered it up, so the

kids wouldn't get in trouble,

camp management,

the counselors, too.

But some people say

that he's still down there

at the bottom of the lake,

[Deep, resonating exhalation]

that he's still hungry,

that he's waiting

to rise from the depths!

[Group laughs]

[Wind blows;

They exclaim in mock fear]

[They laugh]

Rise, Little Death.

Rise and take your revenge!

[Music concludes]

[Footsteps approach]

- [Girl] Gonna get...

- [Squeak screams]

[Sinister music rises]

- [Man 2] Oh God, that's

classic. - [They laugh]

[Chuck] You sh*t

your pants, Squeak?

I think somebody's

baking brownies.

Did she sh*t her pants?

Ew.

It's just a joke.

Alright.

Let's get this party started!

[They whoop]

[Indistinct chatter]

[Radio scans]

Come on.

Come on, Ella. You got this.

[Equipment powers up]

[Ella] Good evening,

Camp Miasma.

This is DJ Ella Giastic

broadcasting all night long.

Let's get this party started

with Anorak Christmas

by Sally Shapiro.

[Music plays - Anorak Christmas,

by Sally Shapiro]

[Radio scans]

[Music volume increases;

Indistinct chatter and cheering]

The first time

that I saw your face

On a cold December night

It was a Tuesday on a gig

With a band that we both liked

The first time

That I heard you say your name

And I said mine

I fell in love

And ever since

You've been here on my mind

Oh, oh, oh, oh

Please don't go...

[Music continues behind door;

Insects chirp]

[She sniffles;

Deep, muffled breathing]

[Breathing continues]

[She exhales shakily]

- Split diopter.

- [Boy, in film] What's wrong?

[Young Billy] I thought I saw

someone out there watching me

or it was like...

[She breathes shakily]

I sensed someone...

sensing me.

And then my perspective changed.

It was like I could,

I could see myself

standing here

- through his eyes.

- [Projector whirs]

[Boy in film chuckles]

- Wait, who?

- [Whirring stops]

Little Death?

I don't know.

- [Projector whirs]

- [Boy in film] Hey, hey,

you're shaking.

I think we need

to get you inside.

I know a little spot.

How does that sound?

Do you wanna come with me?

Not really.

[He exhales loudly]

Or I guess...

maybe I do.

I'm just...

scared.

[Music continues in bar;

He chuckles]

You're still a virgin, right?

Think of it like getting a shot

at the doctor's office.

[Music fades;

Somber music joins]

Except this time,

you'll like the way it feels.

[Projector whirs;

Pencil scribbles on paper]

[Somber music grows]

[Music stops, record whirs]

[Faint, uneasy music]

[Deep, muffled breathing]

[Turntable needle

clicks in loop]

[Music continues;

Soft moaning]

[Turntable needle clicks]

- Rise.

- [Projector whirs]

[Music grows;

Breathing and moaning intensify]

[In a deep voice] Rise.

[Loud click;

Music and breathing halt]

[Music plays - A Long December,

by Counting Crows]

A long December

And there's reason to believe

Maybe this year

Will be better than the last

I can't remember the last

Thing that you said

As you were leaving

Oh, the days go by so fast

[Ella] God, I'm so high.

And it's one more day up

In the canyon

And it's one more

night in Hollywood

Who are you?

If you think that

I could be forgiven

[Sharp whoosh]

- [Blood gushes]

- I wish you would

Bummer.

The smell of

hospitals in winter

And the feeling

That it's all a lot of oysters

But no pearl

Now at once you looked

Across a crowded room to see

The way that light attaches

To a girl

[Girl screams]

What's wrong, babe? I thought

you wanted to make out.

What the f*ck?

[Stabbing;

Flesh squelches]

[He grunts]

[He retches]

...to California

I think you should

[Metallic clank]

Damn

[Girl screams;

Music continues]

[She groans]

[Man 2] What's

going on out here?

Hey! What are you?

[Spear whooshes,

flesh squelches]

Holy crap.

[Spear whooshes;

Man grunts]

I guess the winter

Makes you laugh a little slower

Makes you talk a little lower

About the things

you could not show her

- And it's been a long

December - [Panicked

screaming]

And there's reason to believe

Maybe this year

Will be better than the last

I can remember all the times

I tried to tell myself

To hold on to these moments

As they pass

[Music subsides, lingers]

[Voice becomes distinct] And

it's One more day up in the

canyon

[Little Death breathes heavily]

And it's one more

night in Hollywood

And it's been so long since

I've seen the ocean

I guess I should

[Music grows, singer vocalizes]

[Whooshing and grunting]

[Stubbing and squelching]

Yeah

[Music halts;

Electric buzzing]

[Bottles clink]

[She breathes heavily;

Projector whirs]

[Horror film music

plays in film]

[Siren blares]

Damn you, Little Death.

I know you're out there.

Show yourself,

so I can finally end this...

[Sudden stabbing and gushing]

[Music intensifies]

[Distorted, electric buzzing]

[Ethereal, eerie vocalization]

[Vocalization and buzzing fade]

[Insects chirp]

[Squeak] What's this?

[He scoffs] That's...

it's nothing.

It's stupid. It's

like a game we play.

It's just a way to mark time,

you know?

Hey, don't look at that.

Don't look at that.

Just look at me.

Look at me.

[He chuckles]

[Projector whirs]

Come on. I'm here.

You okay?

[Bed creaks]

That's it.

Relax.

[She breathes shakily]

[They moan, softly]

[They breathe heavily]

[Uneasy, suspenseful music;

Deep, muffled breathing]

That's it.

[Projector whirs;

Music and breathing continue]

[Muffled breathing;

Music intensifies]

[Resonating moan]

[Projector and music halt]

[Electric buzzing;

Unsettling echo]

sh**t.

The power just went out.

That happens sometimes.

Well, we need to

get the fire going.

[Subtle, poignant music]

[Kris] I must have seen

that movie a hundred times,

but I've never

seen it like that.

That look in your eye.

Have you figured

out what that was?

Fear?

Shame?

No.

There is something else

underneath all that.

[Ice cracks;

Music continues]

[Wind howls]

Hey!

You were right.

This isn't a work meeting.

That look in your eye,

I don't just wanna watch it.

I don't... I don't just wanna

film it and put it in a movie.

I wanna experience it, too.

[Short gasp;

Music continues]

Will you show me how?

[Music intensifies]

[Music fades]

[Resonating exhalation]

[Wind blows;

Faint howling in distance]

Out here, being all alone,

there are certain nights

when you just get this feeling

when it's really late

and really quiet,

when all of a

sudden you just know

that some psycho k*ller

escaped mental patient

is gonna break in

and chop you up

into a million little pieces.

Oh, I like that feeling.

I like the danger and

the powerlessness.

It's a giving in

even if it just lasts a moment.

Do you ever get lonely, though?

Living out here all alone

in the middle of nowhere.

Of course, I get lonely, Kris.

[Deep, muffled breathing]

[Fire crackles]

[Wind howls in distance]

[She chokes, coughs]

[Abrupt glitching]

[Deep, eerie reverberation]

[She breathes shakily]

[Faint, somber resonance]

[Resonating rustle]

[Fire crackles]

[Door creaks, opens]

[Kris] Billy.

Okay.

[Deep, muffled breathing]

[Kris breathes heavily]

Tell me what you like.

[She pants]

Whatever you want.

I'm in your hands.

[Billy] But what do you like?

How do you like to be touched?

Dealer's choice.

Dealer's choice.

That's

[Muffled, somber resonance]

[She exhales anxiously;

Resonance fades]

Sorry, f*ck.

- I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

- [Billy] It's okay.

No, it's not. I don't know

what's wrong with me.

I'm so f*cking bad at sex.

I just can't... Jesus Christ.

I can't like focus or,

I don't know I just...

There's no bad at sex.

That's not fair.

- Sorry.

- Oh, you're shaking.

- Let's get you warm.

- That's so embarrassing.

I hate myself.

I'll put some tea on the stove

and we can make s'mores

in the fireplace.

Would that be nice?

[Tender, heartfelt music]

Good.

[Kris] I think it's...

dissociation.

Sex seems so natural

and easy for so many people,

but for me, I've just

I've never been able

to get there with someone else,

unless I'm really

far away in my head,

just fully someplace else.

Where?

You don't have to tell me.

But I promise

I won't judge you.

Camp Miasma.

Or any old film like that.

I imagine myself

becoming a character

in a slasher film.

Mandy the bookworm in part two

or Collie in the

outhouse in part four.

I guess even you,

your character in

the first movie,

in bed with that

look in your eye.

[Kris exhales deeply]

It's okay.

I think about transforming.

I start off the movie as myself

[Music turns pensive]

a filmmaker,

an intellectual,

a prude,

a pipsqueak.

And then I become

Or he makes me

What?

It's embarrassing.

You can tell me.

Well, all that's just

window dressing, because

once Little Death

comes for me, I'm just

[She moans, softly]

A victim.

Yeah.

A sl*t.

Mm-hmm.

t*ts bouncing as

I run for my life.

My n*pples poking through

my skimpy clothes.

[Billy] Mm-hmm.

Waiting for him to penetrate me.

[She exhales heavily]

It's stupid

and so misogynistic.

I think I saw too many movies as

a kid, and it f*cked me up real

bad.

Do you think I'm disgusting?

No.

I think you're very sexy.

[Kris breathes heavily]

And if you wanna

become that with me,

you can,

'cause it's all just play.

[Music brightens]

And that's why he

built this place.

If it gets too real,

you can always turn it off.

[She gasps]

Now look in his eyes.

And make them your own.

Let's do it.

Let's make a movie.

[She breathes heavily]

[Deep, muffled breathing joins]

[Music concludes]

- Hi. Do you guys have Wi-Fi?

- [Lively music in store]

[Woman laughs]

Hi. Hi there.

Sorry to be a few minutes late.

Oh, no problem. We're actually

still waiting on Jeffrey.

- Yeah. - But he should be on

momentarily.

Right on.

Where are you right now, Kris?

I'm in the Pacific Northwest,

near Canada.

I think I maybe mentioned,

yeah, on our, on our last call,

but yeah, I got a meeting

with Billy Presley.

It's pretty exciting.

I don't wanna...

Great, yeah.

Wanna jinx it or anything,

but I'm pretty...

[Flatulence]

[Jeffrey] Hey, guys. I'm here.

[Tracy] Um...

Jeffrey...

[Jeffrey] What?

What, Tracy?

- [Tracy chuckles, awkwardly]

- [Jeffrey] Oh!

I just got off

With Jason Blum about

the new Halloween miniseries.

This is my little jump scare.

- Watch.

- Yeah.

[Jeffrey groans, menacingly]

[Mimics Mike Myers as Austin

Powers] Do I make you horny,

baby?

Do I make you horny...

Do I make you horny?

So great, Jeffrey.

They have the same name, so

Michael Myers, Mike Myers.

- Thank you.

- Thank you.

Anyway.

Anyway, we're so excited to hear

- about our little sleepaway

camp slasher. - Yeah.

How's it coming along, Kris?

Well, I was just saying I have

some pretty exciting news.

[She stutters] I,

um, yeah, I was, I...

I'm pretty sure that

Billy Presley is going to sign

on to, to join the project, so

Billy?

What?

She played the final girl in

the first film back in the '80s.

Y-yeah.

- Mm-hmm.

- Oh, great.

That's great fan service.

Reddit is gonna

prematurely ej*cul*te

in their tight little jeans.

Yes. It's so true.

Actually, um, I think

we're all just really excited

to hear about this origin story.

[Jeffrey] Mm-hmm.

Yeah. Well, I've actually

been... reworking it over the

past few days.

Great. Great.

Why don't you walk us

through it, Kris?

Okay, so

[Intriguing, anticipatory music]

Lake Miasma,

that iconic lake

viewers know so well.

But there's something

viewers don't know

about what's lurking there

underneath the water.

It's Little Death.

No.

No?

No.

A hole.

- [Mason] A hole?

- [Water sloshes, muffled]

[Kris] There is a hole

at the bottom of the lake

where the movies come from.

[Music stops;

She exhales deeply]

[Jeffrey] I don't get it.

Translate, someone.

Uh, it's a meta take.

Yeah, meta.

Meta, like, New Nightmare

by Fright Master Wes Craven.

Nightmare by Fright

Master Wes Craven?

- Exactly.

- No.

It's not meta

like New Nightmare

by Fright Master Wes Craven.

Not meta like New Nightmare

by Fright Master Wes Craven.

Is it an allegory?

It's real. Okay?

Like, actually real.

It's realer than this call.

It's not a movie.

If anything, this is a movie.

You all are

characters in a movie.

Okay?

[She chuckles, awkwardly] Okay.

[Uneasy note]

Listen to me.

Listen to me.

- There is a hole

- [Water sloshes, muffled]

at the bottom of the lake

where the movies come from.

It has been there

since before the first movie.

Okay, it has been there

since before the murders

that inspired the first movie.

- Little Death

- [Unsettling, pensive music]

is down there alone, waiting.

He doesn't need a mask

in the hole under Lake Miasma.

[Electric buzzing]

He doesn't need clothing at all.

When he gets bored,

he has his entertainment

And that's where we come in.

This is the great

trick he plays,

convincing us that we made him,

when really he made us.

That we watch him,

when really he watches us.

[Music intensifies;

Muffled moaning]

- Do you understand?

- [Music halts]

- [Mason] Yeah.

- We're his little playthings.

We are an itch for

him to scratch.

We are a movie for him to edit,

and he has final cut.

Oh my God, he has final cut!

Oh my God, it's happening.

It's happening again.

- Oh my God, can you feel it?

- [Somber music rises]

Oh my God, he's hungry.

He's rising to the surface now.

He's ready.

He's ready to make a new movie,

and he's coming for us all.

[Loud, electric crackling]

- Whoa, whoa, whoa.

- It's happening.

No need to...

It's happening.

It's happening.

Oh my! It's happening.

It's happening!

[Loud, electric crackling;

Music continues]

[She pants]

[Music fades]

[She chuckles]

What the f*ck was that?

There's a lot to unpack there.

There's a lot to unpack there.

Thank you so much, Kris.

Um, let us circle up

and we will collect our thoughts

and then we will get back to you

with notes.

Yeah. Thank you, Tracy.

Well said.

That was... something

else, but um,

we'll be in touch.

f*cking Christ.

[End-call tone]

[Phone vibrates]

[She breathes heavily]

[Arcade game beeps]

[Intriguing, uneasy music]

[Deep, unsettling reverberation]

Whoa.

[Music grows]

Where exactly is it that

you kids think you're going?

Me? Do you, do you mean me?

Um...

I'm... I'm a filmmaker.

Uh, I...

Yeah. Yeah, I'm

a filmmaker here,

here from the big city.

I'm... here making a... movie

at the old sleepaway

camp up on the hill.

Oh...

Oh, no.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

This remains highly unfinished.

I don't like it at all.

Totally.

He's still sleeping down below,

and a child like you,

so young...

And nubile.

Don't forget nubile.

And nubile, surely

you'll wake him.

For sure. For sure.

You're doomed.

Like doomed, doomed?

Doomed.

You're, you're doomed.

Doomed?

- Doomed.

- [Satisfied exhalation]

[Music continues]

[Radio scans]

[Ella] DJ Ella Giastic

on Camp Miasma Radio,

and next we got a slow one for

all the lovers out there

tonight.

[Slow, romantic song joins]

Pain is the heart of love

Is the heart of love

Love

Is the heart of

Is the heart of love

Love

The signal's starting

to come through.

[Kris] I know.

Pain is the heart of

Pain

Is the heart of pain

Is the heart of

[Billy] It's time for the tale

of Little Death.

[Song ends on somber note]

[Wind howls;

Hooting in distance]

I didn't wanna go

with him that night

[Pensive, unsettling music;

Fire crackles]

but I told myself I had to,

that it was a ritual,

a rite of passage that

everyone has to go through.

I was 24 playing 17

and it was time I

lost my virginity.

[Abrupt glitch]

I tried masturbating before.

Some girls at camp taught me how

when I was just a camper,

but I never understood.

My hand just got tired.

And then

that night on that

grimy mattress

with that irrelevant creep...

I felt hollow.

It meant nothing to me.

I was losing my virginity

and it was exactly as bad as I

had always imagined it would be.

When he entered me,

I went far away in my head.

I tried to think

about anything else.

I tried to stop being myself

there on the bed.

And it worked.

[Music grows]

I caught a signal.

[Deep, muffled breathing]

Suddenly, I was watching myself

from outside myself,

like I'd acquired

a new set of eyes,

ears.

I was

Little Death.

[Music continues]

And I was watching

myself from across the room,

creeping closer.

And I could see Billy Presley

there on the bed,

losing her virginity,

getting f*cked.

Just like in the movies

when you see the shot

going back and forth,

real rapid like.

[Indistinct chatter]

And I was excited

being both of us.

I was the watcher,

and I was the one being watched.

And I was the k*ller,

leering and breathing hard,

and I was the victim, too,

lying on the bed

with that look in my eye.

Psycho from the perspective

of the shower curtain.

And then I lifted the spear,

and at the same time

I saw it from the bed,

looking up at it as it was

coming down towards me.

[She moans;

Deep, muffled exhalation]

And then I came.

[Muted moaning and breathing;

Music lingers]

[Silence]

[Sharp whoosh;

Sinister note]

It was my first orgasm,

and it's still the biggest one

I ever had.

And I thought, "Why'd he

make it feel like that?"

[Fire crackles;

Wind blows]

So good.

So close to magic.

"Why'd he make it

feel like that?"

[Deep, thunder-like

reverberation]

What was that?

Why don't you go have a look?

[Rising, somber music]

I'm right behind you.

[Magic twinkling;

Music intensifies]

[Music subsides]

[Kris] Oh my God.

Oh my God. Is this gonna be

- Is this the moment where he

- [Water splashes, they gasp]

What should happen next?

[Billy] You could fall down the

hill, so you don't get too much

of a head start,

so you really have

to run from him.

I love that idea.

Do you wanna push me or?

- [Sinister, horror film music]

- [Billy] Go!

[She groans]

sh*t. Goddammit.

[Spear whooshes]

[Laughing happily] Wow.

Okay. Wow. Hi.

Sorry, I'm like,

I'm a fan obviously.

Uh, no offense, but I'm gonna,

just gonna

[Metallic scrape]

Billy?

Billy?

What do we do next?

[Music intensifies]

[Zip scratches]

[Music brightens]

[She pants, muffled]

[Music turns somber]

Kris.

[Music subsides]

Oh my God. I got so worried

when I didn't hear from you.

Thor got a pickup truck.

We drove all day.

He, he

We came to save you.

[Blood gushes]

Babe, I think we might've

just ran out of gas.

- [Car alarm beeps]

- [He chuckles] Oh.

What up, Kris?

Oh, hey dude, what's up?

- I'm Thor. What's your name? -

[Little Death breathes heavily]

Wow. God, there's so

many trees out here.

[Spear whooshes;

Blood gushes]

Billy?

What are we doing?

[Slow, sultry music]

In a medallion

What I believe

Somebody say that

A love like that

won't matter

[Sultry music halts;

Sinister music resumes]

Kris!

It's me, your agent.

I heard the pitch went really,

really bad,

so I bought a plane ticket,

and I rented a car,

and I drove out here,

'cause I'm thinking maybe

we could workshop.

[Sharp whooshes]

[She gasps]

[Body thuds]

Billy.

[Sultry music resumes] This is

No ordinary love, no ordinary

love

No ordinary love

This is no ordinary lo...

[Sultry music halts;

Sinister music resumes]

Kris, hi.

We huddled up.

We have some thoughts.

- Oh, it's an allegory. We

totally get it. - Finally.

But we want it to be a little

bit more commercial, a little

bit more anthemic.

Jeffrey's just gonna be

about five minutes.

Get the f*ck out of my way!

[Panicked screaming]

[Music concludes]

[Shuddered breathing]

It's okay.

You made it.

Don't worry.

It's just a movie.

It's just play.

- Doesn't feel like play, Billy.

- I know. I know.

But it is.

- Come here. Lie down.

- [Low, somber music]

You're almost there now.

You're almost dead.

Now you need to do exactly

what I showed you.

You need to watch yourself

through his eyes.

[Deep, muffled exhalation;

High-pitched moan]

Can you do that for me now?

Yes.

Yes, I can, I can see him.

[Deep, muffled exhalation]

[She moans, breathes heavily]

He's walking inside.

He's coming closer now.

[Deep, muffled exhalation;

Heavy footsteps resonate]

I can see myself.

[Kris moans]

Billy.

I don't wanna die.

I don't wanna die, Billy.

Billy, Billy,

please don't leave me,

please don't leave me.

[She whimpers]

I'm not going anywhere.

[She moans;

Music brightens]

[Gushing;

Labored breathing]

[Music subsides]

[Breathing and gushing stop]

[Music concludes;

Insects chirp]

[Soft metallic rattle]

[He sighs]

[Tape squishes, clatters]

[Electric buzzing]

[Silence]

[Music plays -

Satan, by Andy Shauf]

[Birdsong]

Don't watch yourself

Watch the movie

This only happens

for a little while

Because Satan is waiting

Satan is waiting

[He breathes heavily]

With Halloween candy

- All of the best parts

- [Moaning on TV]

Makes you sorry

All of the worst

parts make you strong

And Satan is waiting

Satan is waiting

With Halloween candy

[She gasps]

[She exhales deeply]

[Music continues]

Good morning, sleepy head.

One long disciplined life

And at the end

I'm taking my shoes off

And jumping on in

One invitation,

one bitesized bar

Would you like to come

swimming In a big lake of fire?

One long disciplined

life and at the end

I'm taking my shoes off

And jumping on in

Satan is waiting

Satan is waiting

Satan is waiting

Satan is waiting

- Don't watch yourself

- [Playful, indistinct chatter]

Watch the movie

[Music stops]

- [Kris] Have you had these?

- [Billy] Uh-uh.

Forget everything you know

about Jolly Ranchers.

These are like

their complete own thing.

[Billy] What is this thing with

brands doing gummies these days?

You got your Airhead gummies,

your Life Saver gummies,

your Jolly Rancher gummies,

your Starburst gummies.

There's just so many gummies.

I mean, we're living in the

golden age of gummy candy.

I think we are.

But these are the best.

- Oh, yeah?

- Mm-hmm.

Trust me.

Alright. Put 'em in the basket.

[Soft, subtle moan]

[Supermarket background music]

[Paper bag rustles]

[Cash register beeps]

It's okay to fill the canister

directly from the pump?

[Eerie note]

Um, yeah, no problem.

[Sliding doors chime]

I like your guys' outfits.

[Billy] Thanks.

I like your hair.

Cool.

[Birdsong]

[Music plays - I Love You

Always Forever, by Donna Lewis]

Hey!

What's wrong?

Are you alright?

He's still down there, you know.

At the bottom of the lake.

He's still hungry.

Can you feel it?

He'll be back soon...

to feed again.

Touching

Discovering you

[Music swells;

Indistinct laughter in distance]

Those days of warm rains

Come rushing back to me

Miles of windless serenity

Shared in the heat

of the afternoon

Out of the stillness

Softspoken words

Say it, say it again

I love you always forever

Near and far closer together

Everywhere, I will be with you

Everything, I will do for you

I love you always forever

Near and far closer together

Everywhere, I will be with you

Everything, I will do for you

You've got

The most unbelievable blue eyes

I've ever seen

You've got me

almost melting away

As we lay there

Under a blue sky

with pure white stars

Exotic sweetness

A magical time

Say it, say it again

I love you always forever

Near and far closer together

Everywhere, I will be with you

Everything, I will do for you

I love you always forever

Near and far closer together

Everywhere, I will be with you

Everything, I will do for you

Say you'll love, love me

forever Never stop, never,

whatever

Near and far And always

and everywhere and every...

Say you'll love, love me

forever Never stop, never,

whatever

Near and far And always

and everywhere and every...

Say you'll love, love me

forever Never stop, never,

whatever

Near and far And always

and everywhere and every...

Say you'll love, love me

forever Never stop, never,

whatever

Near and far And always

and everywhere and everything

I love you always forever

Near and far closer together

Everywhere, I will be with you

Everything, I will do for you

I love you always forever

Near and far closer together

[Music fades]

[Music plays - Supernatural

Superserious, by R.E.M.]

Everybody here

Comes from somewhere

But they would

just as soon forget

And disguise

At the summer camp

Where you volunteered

No one saw your face

No one saw your fear

If that apparition

had just appeared

Took you up and away from

this place And sheer humiliation

Of your teenage station

Nobody cares No one

remembers and nobody cares

How you cried and you cried

"He's alive, he's alive"

How you cried and cried

And you cried and you cried

If you call out "safe"

Then I'll stop right away

If the premise buckles

And the ropes start to chafe

The details smart

But the story's the same

You don't have to explain You

don't have to explain

humiliation

Of your teenage station

Yeah, you cried and you cried

"He's alive, he's alive"

How you cried and you cried

And you cried

And you realised your fantasies

Are dressed up in travesties

Enjoy yourself with no regrets

Everybody here

Comes from somewhere

That they would

just as soon forget

And disguise

Yeah, you cried and you cried

"He's alive, he's alive"

Yeah, you cried and you cried

And you cried and you cried

Oh, you cried and you cried

Oh, you cried and you cried

Now there's nothing dark

And there's nothing weird

Don't be afraid,

I will hold you near

From the seance where

you first betrayed

An open heart on

a darkened stage

A celebration

Of your teenage station

It's an experience,

sweet, delirious

Supernatural, superserious

An experience,

sweet, delirious

Supernatural, superserious

- Wow

- [Music concludes]

Do you think we're gonna do

more of these?

- Oh, if they had to.

- Yeah.

- Oh, oh, yeah...

- Yeah.

I always said I was never

gonna come back for 'em.

- Right.

- You know,

'cause I thought there'd be

bigger and better stuff, but...

- Right.

- Well, that didn't happen.
