From the Penn & Teller Theater
at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas,
here's our host, Brooke Burke!
Welcome
to a very special episode
Fool Us."
Tonight, we celebrate
the 50th anniversary
of magic's greatest duo.
That's right.
Penn & Teller have been
performing together
for 50 amazing years
that include
multiple Broadway shows
and award-winning TV specials.
They're the longest-running
headliners in Las Vegas history.
And of course...
they have been
the stars of this show
for 12 seasons.
Let's hear it for the legendary
Penn & Teller!
Since we're celebrating
Penn & Teller's
golden anniversary,
we've got some special surprises
planned tonight.
So, let's get the night started
by bringing out
our first special Fooler.
We appeared on season one
doing a box trick.
I came up with that trick.
Yes, you did, but it didn't
fool Penn & Teller.
I think that could have
been my fault though,
because the paint hadn't dried.
Still hasn't come off
by the way.
We appeared again on
season three doing a box trick.
I came up with that trick, too.
Yes, you did, but it didn't
fool Penn & Teller.
We applied again
from seasons seven through 10.
No reply, but look
who came crawling back.
We did.
We literally begged them.
This time...
I've come up with the illusion.
I've spent years
working on this.
And I've spent years
figuring out
how to get the trophy home.
First impressions
are everything.
So, I've had Las Vegas costumes
designed and tailored.
This is a schematic
of the stage.
We enter here.
We perform miracles here,
here, here, and here.
Receive trophy here
and place trophy here.
- Who's this?
- Don't worry about her.
I've commissioned the very best
Las Vegas illusion builder
to build this.
That's the same illusion
we did in season one.
Is it?
How did we do?
Let's hope they've forgotten.
It's our pleasure
to welcome back
an act who appeared
on the very first season
of "Fool Us"...
Young and Strange.
Thank you. Happy...
happy anniversary,
Penn & Teller.
50 years together.
Absolutely incredible.
Now, obviously, back then,
these were the kind of costumes
that magicians used to wear.
So, now some say
the definition of insanity
is doing the same thing
over and over
and expecting
a different result.
So, that's why we are back
with another box trick!
Yes!
We...
We are attempting to be
the first act
in the history of "Fool Us"
to come back on
to fool Penn & Teller
and do the same trick again.
This, however,
is very different.
This box trick is not homemade.
This box trick is our gateway
to a "Fool Us" trophy.
And since season one,
a lot has changed.
The box is now
raised off the floor
so you can see underneath it
at all times.
No trap doors possible.
Also, the front and sides
of the box are open,
so you'll be able to see
inside at all times.
Thirdly, and most importantly,
Penn, would you please
take your Sharpie
and would you sign Strange?
That way, if he does
magically teleport tonight,
you'll know it's definitely him
and not a poor impersonator
or a stuntman.
- Yes.
- Thank you.
Now, before we do the illusion,
we just want
to point out that currently
Jandro and Helen Coghlan
hold the record
for fooling Penn & Teller
five times each.
Yes, and that's
the sort of company
we intend to keep
after this performance.
Although I have just realized
"failed to fool
Penn & Teller three times"...
that does have
quite a nice ring to it.
Yes, it does... and that's
never been done before.
Never.
Although the secret to this
illusion has changed drastically
since Season One,
unfortunately,
our taste in music has not.
- So, hit the track, please.
- Here we go.
Vegas, baby, Vegas!
Whoo-hoo!
Yes!
Strange, where's the key?
- The key!
- Come on, Donna.
Are you kidding me?!
Whoo-hoo!
Yes!
Yes!
Whoo!
Yes!
Whoo!
Young & Strange.
I think you surprised us all.
- Thanks for having us back.
- Thanks for having us back on.
- It's great to be here.
- Thanks for being here with us.
What does it feel like
this time around?
- More nerve-racking, right?
- More?
Because we really want
to fool 'em this time.
- We really...
- I get it.
So, we're hoping for the best.
These boys have been together
for 50 years.
Did the two of you plan
to be partners for that long?
We've been together
for 15 years.
We already can't stand
each other.
So, how they've done it,
I've no idea, so...
What would it mean
to both of you
to win a "Fool Us" trophy?
- Well, Michelle?
- Yes.
Thank you, Michelle.
Well, let's just say
that getting this trophy
back to England
isn't going
to be a problem, Brooke.
I love that you're prepared.
We're ready, mate.
We're ready.
I feel it...
Young & Strange,
let's find out right now
if you fooled Penn & Teller.
- Here we go.
- Boys?
- Young & Strange,
you actually did it,
and I don't mean you fooled us.
But I mean you actually
came back 10 years later
and did the same trick for us.
The ba*ls to do that
is really, really remarkable.
And you really did use
an entirely different method.
You're very ingenious thinkers,
doing metamorphosis
so it's totally open,
so that the bag has
that animation the whole time,
and the real sense
that someone is changing
into someone else is
really, really brilliant.
And the fact that
it's a whole different method.
But I think that you know
that we know...
an awful lot
about these kinds of things.
And I think you may know
that you can trust us
when we say your case is
gonna go back empty this time,
but come back
and try again in 10 years,
when you are...
when you are no longer
young and strange,
but you are like us,
old and weird.
Well...
Well, I don't know
if I know what they know
that... what you know,
but what do you guys think?
Are you going home with...
I will say we are failures,
not Foolers this evening.
But it does make us
the first ever, doesn't it?
- It does.
- It failed to fool you
three times,
which I think... thank you.
That's never been done before!
- Never been done before.
- It's never been done before!
Failed to fool them three times.
I think it's worth a trophy.
A failures trophy!
It's a failures trophy!
Well, if Penn & Teller
don't give you one,
you can always bring your own.
Thank you,
Young & Strange, so much.
Stay right where you are.
"Fool Us" will be right back.
I just want to congratulate
Penn & Teller
on 50 years of working together,
on 50 years of magic.
I wanted to get you
something special
and did get you
something special,
for your
50th anniversary together.
And then...
how befitting...
it disappeared.
Happy anniversary, guys.
Penn & Teller,
50 years of magic.
What an amazing
and phenomenal journey
you both have been on.
Congratulations to you both.
Now, seriously,
tell me, how'd you do it?
Welcome back to "Fool Us."
We're celebrating
Penn & Teller's
50th anniversary.
We're also
still messing with him
by bringing out
world-class acts like this one.
Hello,
I'm Piff the Major Dragon.
If you don't know who I am,
where have you been?
I was on "Fool Us"
since the first season.
I'm OG "Fool Us."
In fact,
"Fool Us" was my big break.
It's the reason
I got my own show
right here in Las Vegas.
I've tried to fool the guys
multiple times.
I've also performed
with Penn & Teller,
and Matt King and I busted them.
If we don't fool them,
if they bust us,
we'll give them each a trophy.
We did not fool them.
But that trophy doesn't count.
Feels like they cheated.
I don't need their charity.
I'm gonna win one
the proper way. But how?
Trying to fool them is
a performer's worst nightmare.
But I, Piff the Magic Dragon,
am the Master of Misdirection.
I brought them a gift
for their 50th anniversary.
And that is my secret weapon.
Since we're celebrating
their golden anniversary,
we've got
some surprises planned,
like this gift box right here,
which is from the act
of our next potential Fooler,
your old friend,
Piff the Magic Dragon.
Penn, Teller,
I've got a little gift for you.
- Would you join me on stage?
- Yes.
Give it up for Penn & Teller
as they join me on stage.
Come over here, boys.
Come over here.
Hey, Penn,
why don't you stand here?
Teller, just here.
- Brooke, you know what?
- What?
- Would you like a sneak peek?
- I would.
Come over here, Brooke.
Come here. Do me a favor.
Just hold this, Brooke.
- Okay.
- Hold it. There we go.
Do you think they're gonna like
this little surprise
we've cooked up?
- I hope so, after that.
- Over here?
Well, let's do the big reveal.
One, two, three!
From the bottom over the top!
Aah!
I got you a gift horse.
Wow! Look at him.
Look at him.
He's such a cutie.
Who's a cutie?
Who's a cutie little gift horse?
Who's a cutie little... hey!
This is not just
any kind of gift horse.
- No?
- No.
It's a Trojan gift horse.
- Is it really?
- Yeah.
- You know why?
- Why?
Because the real surprise
is inside.
Hey, Penn.
- Yes?
- Why don't you look
this gift horse in the mouth?
I will.
You see anything
that you might recognize?
- I do, I do, I do.
- Penn? Penn?
- I do.
- What's he doing?
- He's ripping his face off...
- Jandro!
It's the amazing Jandro!
5-time Fooler!
You understand
what we're saying?
- 5-time Fooler.
- 5-time Fooler.
Hey, Jandro,
what do you fancy doing tonight?
We are going to fool you!
- And how are we gonna do that?
- Card trick!
Boom! Boom!
Look, watch. Here we go.
We're gonna rip open the cards.
Boom, boom, advertise the card.
Boom, boom, boom, boom.
Teller.
You're gonna
take the cards, Teller.
You're gonna shuffle
all those cards, Teller.
- Shuffle the cards.
- Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle!
Who ordered room service?
- I'm hungry.
- Bad horsey!
- I'm hungry.
- He's always doing this.
- Let's eat something.
- He's so hungry. Fine.
Brooke,
you'll need this for later.
- Not now, for later, Brooke.
- Just keep this for you, okay.
Penn, come and help me
feed this horse.
Shuffle, shuffle...
Shuffle.
All right, let's see.
What are we gonna start with?
- Cookies!
- We got cookies.
- Cookies, I love cookies.
- Guess what kind of cookies?
- Vegan cookies.
- No, oatmeal.
He's a horse.
He... He... come on, come on.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, you love it. Yeah.
Come here, I'll give you
another one. Come on.
Yeah. Yeah.
He loves it.
Delicious cookies.
Penn, choose something else.
- What do you want?
- I would like this one.
This one, let's see...
Paella!
- Paella!
- Paella!
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
come on, come on.
Shuffle, shuffle.
Eat the paella.
Eat the paella.
What's he gonna go for next?
What do you want next?
- Penn, choose something.
- This one.
What's this? Bananas!
The horse's favorite.
- No, no, it's...
- Come here. What?
- No, no, no.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Yeah, eat it.
Eat the banana.
Put it in there.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, he's still hungry.
- No, no...
- You're still hungry.
Penn, which one do you want?
This one or this one?
- Which one, Penn?
- This one.
- This one, let's see...
- No, no más.
Hamburger, your favorite.
Whap!
There we go. Delicious.
Penn, give him some
of the fries.
No, no...
- Put the fries in his face.
- No, gracias.
- No, no...
- No, gracias...
What is that?
Wait, wait, wait.
- He's thirsty, he's thirsty.
- Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle!
Yeah!
Yummy, yummy.
Still hungry?
- No!
- Yeah, sí? Sí?
All right.
What's the last one, Penn?
You feed this, Penn.
- Chocolate.
- Chocolate!
- No, por favor.
- Very good.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- No...
- Yum!
It gives him the energy he needs
to do the tricky.
To finish, you're ready
to do the trick?
Yeah... Yeah.
What's the trick?
Okay, no problem.
No problem.
Think anyone, think anyone.
- Okay.
- I don't care. I don't care.
- 7 of spades.
- 7 of...
Can you see, please, quickly,
if you have the 7 of spades?
Because it's...
I don't feel the position.
¿Qué?
Wait a moment.
- You have been fooled.
- Why is that?
You see,
this is not a Trojan horse.
I am not a Trojan horse.
This... No, no.
The rope is the Trojan horse
'cause it's made from
genuine Trojan horse hair.
Penn, Teller,
off you go to the rope.
To the rope, examine it,
from top to bottom.
It might be a little surprise.
Do you feel a surprise
inside the rope, Penn or Teller?
- I do.
- You do? what?
Brooke has it there.
Hand that to Teller.
- Touch it.
- Hand that to Teller.
We have the scissors.
- Teller...
- Please, the scissors.
- The scissors, yeah,
- The scissors.
The scissors.
This is getting better?
A rope.
- A rope.
- A rope?
Would you pull that free?
Squidge it up.
No way.
- It's the 7 of spades!
- No way!
7 of spades!
7 of spades!
Yes! What?
- Whoo!
- Seven of spades!
- Wait a moment.
- What?
Because you are
already fooled again!
Twice.
You think this rope
is the Trojan horse?
No.
- This...
- The real Trojan horse.
- Brooke, tear it open.
- Tear it open?
The real surprise
is what's inside.
Rip it as hard
as you can, Brooke.
Is there something living,
breathing inside that card?
- My God. What is it?
- What's that?
- It's a menu.
- A menu?
The menu of the day.
Penn, come,
come quickly, come quickly.
Let's see what we...
we served up
here on the menu of the day.
Brooke, what was
for starters, please?
- Cookies.
- Cookies, it's there.
The second?
- Paella.
- Paella.
- Yeah.
- Bananas.
- Bananas.
- Hamburger.
- Hamburger, then?
- Fries.
- Then?
- Ketchup.
- Then?
- Chocolate.
- Yeah!
- Bravo, bravo!
Whoo!
That's the magic dragon,
everyone.
Just when you think
you've seen it all.
What the was that?
I mean, whose idea was this?
It was a collaboration?
- Yeah, a dragon...
- 50-50.
A dragon and a horse.
- Yes.
- What can come out bad?
Nothing.
Nothing?
Have you done anything
crazier than this?
Not with people looking.
I prefer to work...
not... not dressed as a horse.
Yeah, I get that.
He's new
to the magic animal business.
All right, Penn, Teller,
you know these guys pretty well.
Did they fool you or not?
You don't need to think
about this any further.
Wha...
Wha... Okay...
Wh... what happened?
Okay, I will speak in perfect
English so you understand.
- Okay.
- Yes.
There were three Trojan horses...
the horse,
the rope, and the card.
Triple effect.
Triple Fooler.
Triple Fooler.
So, we wanted to do the menu,
and we came up
with other things.
- Okay.
- A lot of things.
And the card disappeared from...
from the deck.
You have the deck.
We give up!
If we give you a trophy,
will you shut up?
- Yeah!
- Yes.
Will you be done?
Bring down the trophy!
Bring down the trophy.
Piff, the Magic Dragon
and Jandro, everyone!
Whoo!
This 50th anniversary party
is just getting started.
The celebration keeps going
right after this.
I can't believe
it was 50 years ago.
I saw you guys in a little
Off-Broadway theater
at 43rd and 8th and went,
"Who are these guys?
"What are they doing?
Why am I laughing?
Why is my mind blown?
How is this happening?"
50 years later,
I still feel the exact same way.
Thank you for 50 glorious years
of the best magic on the planet
and the greatest entertainment
in the world.
Love you guys. Happy 50th.
Hi, Penn & Teller,
it's your friend Melissa Rauch.
I just wanted to say
congratulations
on 50 magical years.
I continue to be in awe
of all that you do
and all that you both are.
I'm sending so much love. Bye.
Welcome back.
Putting a century of combined
magic history to the test
is this next magician.
I'm Piero,
and I come from Italy.
I loved learning magic
when I was little
because when you know something
that your friends
and family don't know,
it makes you important
and powerful.
I was that kid.
I really was.
Once I had a group of friends,
and I felt comfortable,
I didn't need
those secrets anymore.
They were just
a bunch of tricks, anyway.
I went on to study theater.
I loved acting
and being on stage.
But then watching
Penn & Teller perform,
they acknowledged the fact
that there's a trick
and that there's a secret
and that maybe
that's not the most interesting
thing of our art.
So, maybe I could use
my theater training
along with magic
to reach an audience.
That's what I do now
on stages around the world.
The act I'm doing tonight
is based on a favorite
of Teller's.
Penn, Teller,
It's my way of saying thank you.
As part of this
50th anniversary celebration,
here's an act performing
a special tribute to Teller.
Please welcome Italian
magic champion Piero Venesia.
Piero Venesia!
Wow, come on over here.
Are you okay?
Yeah. Yeah, I am.
When you decided to do a trick
that Teller has made famous...
Yeah.
Did you have to make it
your own?
In some kind of way,
you have to make it your own.
And we really worked
with the idea
of the "would be cool if" rule,
so we added a cork.
"But how do you do it?"
I don't know, but it's cool.
If I would have come up here
and did the exact...
I mean,
it's not really possible.
But if I did the exact
same trick that Teller did,
the way he did it,
it would be kind of a shame,
because it could only be
the second best version.
That's wonderful.
All right, Piero,
let's find out if you fooled
Penn & Teller with a trick
that they know very well.
- Boys?
- Piero,
what a wonderful routine.
You know, Teller has been doing
a version of the needles
longer than I've known him.
- Well...
- Okay.
So, as soon as it came
near your mouth,
I turned to Teller and said,
"This is all on you."
I'm out. I tapped out
as soon as the needle
went near your mouth.
And then something
incredible happened,
which is Teller became
so enchanted
with what you were doing,
he was enwrapped
in what you were doing.
He had no idea
what you were doing.
And when we finished up,
it was all on me.
Which shows you how well
sucking up works on Teller.
It was a wonderful routine.
You absolutely had Teller.
But it came down to me,
and I will tell you,
usually when I say
I don't think we're fooled,
the audience hates us,
really hates us.
But this time,
you've put me in an incredibly
terrible situation,
because now...
Teller's gonna hate me.
My partner of 50 years...
- No.
- Is gonna despise me,
because I don't think
you fooled... me.
Penn...
I couldn't be more
of a bad guy on this,
but I don't think you did.
There's a wonderful, wonderful
routine,
and you fooled
the a*s off Teller.
Penn is not gonna give you
any code words, Piero.
Are you gonna
take his word for it?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I believe...
I believe that you got it.
- Wonderful.
- But thank you very much.
You're such
an inspiration to me.
It's been an honor.
Thank you so much.
That was wonderful. Wonderful.
Thank you for being with us.
Piero Venesia, everyone.
Up next,
Penn & Teller take the stage
with a very special
50th anniversary surprise.
So, stay close.
Penn & Teller,
it's your buddy Donny Osmond
wishing you a very happy
and magical 50th anniversary.
Penn & Teller are the two
most influential magicians
in my life.
There's something uncanny
about them.
It is that...
irreverent badassery
colliding
with impeccable showmanship
and a genuine respect
for the art of magic
that makes them heroes that, um,
have stood the test of time.
So, happy anniversary,
Penn & Teller.
50 years is not enough
for the world.
Keep it up. Keep fooling people.
Welcome back.
Since we're celebrating
their 50th anniversary,
we're gonna give P & T
some extra screen time.
So, here
with an extra special trick,
our golden anniversary boys,
Penn & Teller.
50 years.
50 years. Goodness gracious.
We're gonna do the weirdest
thing we have ever done
after 50 years of doing magic,
and we do magic tricks.
We deal
with the same physics time
that you've been
dealing with since birth.
And one of the things
magicians always do is violate
the second law
of thermodynamics.
And that says that entropy,
which is chaos,
always increases.
And magicians make it
look like that's not true.
But entropy in the real world
always increases.
Everything put together
eventually falls apart.
The sun will eventually
go cold and dark.
What is your name,
our newest friend?
- Lisa.
- Hello, Lisa.
- So nice to meet you.
- Likewise.
You're gonna play
the part of Mother Nature.
Now, Nature, Lisa, destroys.
It's not nurturing.
It's always destruction.
It's always
moving towards entropy.
And that's what
you're gonna be doing.
For instance, these flowers.
They're so beautiful,
so real, so full of life.
So full of life.
You can have those.
Have those,
and you can have those, too.
Thank you.
You can sit back down.
That's so great.
Now we give you
those flowers because
we know that those flowers
are gonna die.
Everything dies.
It's part of entropy.
Even butterflies,
as beautiful and as gorgeous
as they are,
just flutter for a while
and then die.
Magic always deals with that,
Lisa,
but less explicitly,
usually symbolically.
Like, we have
all the black cards here,
all the red cards here,
right out of a deck, right?
They're all broken down
by suit and by number.
And what you're gonna do, Lisa,
is you are
going to bring the entropy.
You're gonna shuffle those,
shuffle those up,
shuffle them up,
bring the entropy
as Mother Nature.
I don't know why
I have this in my pocket,
but...
I just felt like doing that.
I don't know why I have
this in my pocket, but...
I felt like doing that, too.
You shuffling 'em
really well there, Lisa?
Shuffling 'em really good?
Now, Lisa,
now that you've shuffled them,
take one card out of there.
- Give it to Teller.
- Just one?
Yeah, just one card.
Now, there are 52 cards there.
Now there are 51...
51 in terms of entropy.
Teller takes one card,
drops it into his hat.
Now, what
you're gonna do now, Lisa,
is you're gonna pick
one card out of...
Teller's gonna lay
the cards out for you.
Pick one card,
would you please, Lisa?
Look at it. Don't show it
to anybody. Memorize it.
Look at it yourself. Look at it
yourself. Memorize it.
Now slide that right back in,
would you, please? Beautiful.
What you've done, Lisa, is
you've brought a lot of entropy.
You've made that total chaos.
These cards are no longer
in perfect order.
These cards are,
to us, just dead.
They are gone, gone, gone.
Teller throws behind his back.
Boom, right there.
We don't need that.
Right back there.
Now, Lisa, we have a bowl here
of 7 1/2 pounds of peanut M&M'S.
Looks like there's all different
colors there, doesn't it?
Well, the blues are missing,
so Van Halen's nightmare.
We mix those in there
just like that.
Now, Lisa, you can
still see the blue ones there.
Pull out one blue one.
Show it to the audience,
would you, please, very clearly?
See that blue one right there?
Do you like blue?
- I do.
- That's very good.
Put it right back in there.
Mix it in a little bit
would you, please, Lisa? Good.
Now, if you're
allergic to peanut M&M'S,
for goodness gracious,
do not eat these.
And whether you're allergic
to peanut M&M'S or not...
don't get those
anywhere near your mouth.
I have every disease
known to man.
Don't get those near you.
You want to see something really
avant-garde, really surreal?
How about a guy in a top hat
taking a handful of blue M&M's
and throwing them
into a swimming pool?
What does that mean?
Absolutely nothing.
How about the whole bowl?
Throw that in there like that.
How about a Rubik's Cube?
See,
this Rubik's Cube is perfect.
No entropy whatsoever.
All the sides are perfect.
But Teller's gonna take that
and mix it up
with his eyes closed.
He's gonna bring some entropy.
But, Lisa,
he can only do so much entropy
with one hand like that.
Take that away from him.
Mix it up really good,
would you please, Lisa?
Mix it up really good. Yeah,
tear it up there really good.
Really good. All mixed up.
Now, I don't know how
to solve a Rubik's Cube,
so that's useless to me.
Means absolutely nothing.
As a matter of fact,
Lisa, we're done with you.
You've been perfect.
You've taken everything you've
touched and destroyed it, Lisa.
That's all you've done.
You've brought entropy.
You've brought destruction.
And, you know,
we don't really deserve to even
wear these hats anymore 'cause
we're not really doing magic.
Maybe the saddest thing
about entropy is that all
our civilization
will eventually go to nothing.
The most important technology
we've ever created,
which is language,
will eventually go to just
random colors, meaning nothing.
I mean, there it really is.
All of it will go to nothing,
will go to entropy
until sometimes
there's something solid,
and we have
a solid bowling ball.
But even that
will eventually lead to...
entropy!
Hi, guys.
If you think that was good,
just wait until you see what
Penn & Teller have for you
when we come back.
- It's going to get weirder.
I wanted to wish you guys
a very happy 50th anniversary
of partnership.
Thank you so much for bringing
such magic into our lives.
Welcome back.
Before the break,
you saw Penn and Teller's
performance of Entropy.
Now they'll give you
a whole different perspective.
Take it away, boys.
That last thing
we did might have
looked a little bit, weird
to you,
probably the weirdest thing
we've ever done.
But that's because
we showed it to you wrong.
Hey, Kurt, let's show it
to 'em right. Hit it.
Boop, boop, boop.
Good evening.
My name's Penn Jillette.
My partner, Teller.
We're Penn & Teller.
And now watch as each
of these silks moves into place.
There are no threads, no wires.
And we proudly present Entropy.
Teller needs a hat.
I need a hat.
Let's go.
How about a table?
And what is your name,
our newest friend?
My name is Gigi.
Hello, Gigi. Nice to meet you.
Hello. I am from Paris.
- Hello.
- Hello.
And does anybody
have a Rubik's Cube?
I have one over here, Penn.
Throw it up here.
Yeah, this Rubik's Cube
is totally mixed up.
But would you mix it up
a little bit more, please, Gigi?
There goes Gigi, all mixed up,
and now watch as Teller
solves that blindfolded
with just one hand!
Mon Dieu! Mon Dieu!
That is the best magic trick
I have ever seen.
Does anybody have 7 1/2 pounds
of peanut M&M'S?
Thank you.
And does anybody have
another handful of them, please?
Thank you.
How about a ping pong ball?
Anybody got a ping pong ball?
I have one over here, Penn.
Yeah, throw it up here, please.
- Yeah. Over here. Yeah.
- Throw it up here.
Yeah. Catch, Penn.
Can you catch it?
Yep, right there.
Everybody else got
a ping pong ball?
I do over here.
There we go, right there.
Now pick any color you want.
What color you want there, Gigi?
Blue. I love the blue.
Okay, watch this, Gigi,
because Teller is
pulling out
of the mixed up M&M'S
just the blue ones.
The blue!
- Anybody have a deck of cards?
- I do. Here, Penn.
- All shuffled up for me?
- Yeah, there...
There it is, right there.
Good catch, Teller.
Good catch.
Gigi, pick any card out of
there, would you please, Gigi?
Any card.
I like this one.
What's the name
of the card, Gigi?
- It is the 3 of hearts.
- The 3 of hearts.
- Oui.
- That seems impossible, Gigi,
because before the show,
Teller put one card in his hat,
and that is...
the 3 of hearts.
Mon Dieu! Mon Dieu!
Now, Gigi, shuffle those up,
would you, please?
Yes.
I love to shuffle cards.
I am a professional dealer
in Monte Carlo.
- Please. Watch. Voilà.
- Anybody got a ping pong ball?
- There we go.
- Voilà. Look at this.
- Anybody got a ping pong ball?
- Yeah, yeah.
- So beautiful. So beautiful.
- Here we go. Thank you so much.
- Now, Gigi.
- Oui?
- You shuffled those cards.
- I did, yes, oui.
You broke them into two halves.
- Oui.
- And now, Teller...
magically all the red ones
and all the black ones.
Name any animal, Gigi.
Any animal. Name it.
Le papillon.
The butterfly.
The butterfly.
Watch this, Gigi.
And that's Entropy.
Thank you so much.
My goodness.
Roses. Thank you, thank you,
thank you, thank you.
And that is... Entropy!
Wow!
Five decades
of mind-blowing magic,
and we are still counting.
Congratulations
and happy 50th anniversary
to our legends, Penn & Teller.
Good night from Las Vegas.
Wow, that was amazing.
