39x03 - This is Sick and Twisted

Post by bunniefuu »

Previously on The Amazing Race...

on the starting line,

every team got a surprise Express Pass

to use on the race.

- Express Pass.
- Express Pass.

In Madrid, three teams

played their Express Passes.

Dating couple Daisha and Dalton

used theirs to escape
a time-consuming search.

I wish we had used it immediately.

Siblings Cody and Jaime used theirs

to end an exhausting leg.

Muchas gracias, señor.

And Jody and Jenn used theirs

with instant regret.

They're still doing it.

We wanted to hold on

to that Express Pass a little longer.

Doug's positive energy...

We've had some ups and downs today,

and we're just gonna do the best we can

until Phil says we can't.

Helped him and Dylan
through a difficult day.

- I love you, dude.
- Love you too.

Ali and Joanna secured first place

without using their Express Pass.

Aah! Chest bump.

While sisters Katie and Charlotte

- came up short.
- It was a great adventure

and I'm glad we got to do it together.

It was really fun.

- Running into leg three.
- Yes.

"Fly to Marrakech, Morocco."

First place feels incredible.

- All right, let's go.
- Let's go.

But I think, as professional athletes,

you have such high
standards for yourself.

I think just having that mentality, we can

intimidate teams. I think that's

what we do naturally. We don't

really try to do that.

We're just wanting to compete
at a high level.

Morocco.

The main thing for us

is just not to get complacent.

We need to go

- from Madrid to Marrakech.
- Yes.

As quickly as possible.

- Okay.
- Wow. Great.

All teams are gonna
be on the same flight,

it's another equalizer,

- so we are... yeah...
- Yeah.

Gonna have to get ready to race
once we arrive.

- Enjoy.
- Thank you so much.

Thank you. Thank you so much.
Bye-bye.

Biggest thing I've learned
is that I have the patience

of a Norse god.

Jaime and I have now
lived together longer than I've

lived with anyone in years.

How did you sleep last night?

- I slept great.
- I slept like a little baby.

Aren't you gonna ask me how I slept?

- I don't care.
- Because you literally sound...

I know why he's single now.

- He sounds like he is...
- Like somebody

who works really hard

- and enjoys their rest.
- No, like eight bears

attacking that piece of ham
from the other day.

I feel great.

I slept like a little baby.

Well, Spanish is no longer
gonna come in handy.

- No.
- But I think we're all gonna be

- on an even playing field.
- Yeah.

- So...
- I don't think anybody...

I am very excited to go to Morocco.

I've actually... I do speak a little Arabic.

My wife is from Iraq,
and her family speaks Arabic.

I deployed to Iraq about a year ago,

and so I learned...

Which means "speak Arabic."

Yalla, yalla. Let's go, let's go. Beep, beep.

Sayyidmeans "sir" and
shlonakmeans "how are you?"

Shukran jazeelan. Shukran jazeelan.

- That's "thank you very much."
- Okay.

"Thank you." It's coming back to me.

- Hasta luego.
- Hasta luego.

Let's go, baby.

- Morocco. Let's go.
- It is so exciting.

We're going to Africa, and I
know where it is on the map.

Marrakech is known
as a melting pot of Arab,

African and European influences.

It's surrounded by arid landscapes,

including the Agafay Desert,

where teams will be racing
on this leg of the race.

Let's go, let's go, let's go.

All right, go, go, go, go, go, go.

This way, this way, Pop.

Esta aqui, aqui, aqui, aqui.

Oh, God.

- Saran?
- Hi.

Salaam.

- Taxi.
- Razani Pottery?

- Razani. Yeah.
- Yes.

Damn it. Frick.

Marco!

- All right.
- It's toasty.

I just strained my hamstring.

Well, from this point,

we just have to be a little bit slower.

But we'll have to do our best
to ju... to be strategic.

- Whoa!
- Skrrt!

Skrrt! We're in Morocco.

We're in Marrakech, baby.
Happy to be here.

We made it to Morocco. Yoo-hoo!

Nothing but hectic driving

- from here on out.
- Oh, yeah.

- Oh, no, dude.
- They're going quick.

Yes! Good job, Rahim!

Yes.

- Good job.
- That's what I'm talking about.

We have our Express Pass still with us.

I think there's five teams

- who still have an Express Pass.
- Yeah.

Six teams who don't.

You have to use the Express Pass

by leg six, so this is just

the start of leg three.

We just want to make sure we use it

when it's advantageous for us.

Here?

Razani. Razani Pottery.

- Yep, right here.
- Right here. Yes.

There's a clue. There's a clue.

Roadblock.

"Who feels like they're going to pieces?"

I'll do it.

- Right here is good.
- Thank you so much.

- Will you wait here?
- Yes.

- Thank you. Okay.
- Let's go, let's go.

Michelle's gonna do this one.

- Let's go, Jo. Come on, come on.
- Go, go, go, go, Javi. Go.

Dafina?

- Come on, come on, come on.
- All right, let's get it.

"There is a marked example
of the clay jugs to smash."

Look.

Moroccan pottery is deeply rooted

- in this country's heritage.
- You got it, Mom.

Teams will find their next clue

in a rejected jug waiting to be recycled.

And this... is how they'll find it.

Okay, I'm gonna do it.

- Javi's gonna do this.
- I'm gonna do the Roadblock.

- I'm gonna do it.
- I'll do it.

- I am. Let's go, G.
- Conner's gonna go to pieces.

I'm going to pieces.

Let's get rolling.

- If pots are involved, like, it's all me.
- Yeah.

- Good job, Mom.
- You got this. Good job.

Okay. Where are we heading?

- Smooth is fast, babe.
- Here we go, Jo.

- You got this, Jo.
- Let's go, G.

Javi, do you see the rejected pottery?

- It looks like this.
- Come on, Javi, hustle, hustle.

- I'm gonna do it.
- I'll do it. - Okay.

- Cody's got it.
- You got it, you got it.

Good job, Mom.

In another Amazing Racefirst,

teams have an added incentive

to complete this Roadblock.

Hidden in one of the 11 clues

is the Roadside Assistance.

- Come on, Jo.
- You got it, Mom.

The team that finds it
can call on their teammate

in future Roadblocks...

- No?
- No. Try again.

To help them complete
a challenge up until

the end of the fifth leg.

What the hell?

It was insane

because I'm like, "I found one."

And then I cracked it,
and it says, "Try again."

I'm like, "Oh,

this is sick and twisted."

You got it, Mom. Keep going.

You got it, Mich. Let's go. You got this,

Daish. Needle in a haystack.

- "Try again."
- Come on.

Let's go, baby. You got it, Mich.

Good job, Conner.

- Come on, Jo.
- Good job, good job.

- "Try again." Come on now.
- Keep going.

Come on now. Come
on, Javi. Come on, Javi.

- Fake clue. Damn.
- Come on, Andrea.

- Smash it.
- Oh. I got a clue.

Dad! Oh... "Try again."

All righty.

Let's see if we get lucky?

Jo is looking for rejected clay jugs.

She has to grab the next clue,
but some just say,

- "Take another turn," or...
- "Try again."

"Try again."

- You're doing great, Jenn.
- You're doing great.

Go, Daishy.

- Attaboy, Dylan. Attaboy.
- Go, Mich.

Good job, Mama. Good job, Mama.

"Try again."

- Crazy.
- Feel like you walked into a hive of bees.

You know, like, running, running. I hear

smashing, smashing.

This is the magic one.

Well, there's one
that looks a little strategic.

That's the lucky one right there.

Leeroy Jenkins.

It is smoking hot in Marrakech.

Man, "try again." No bueno.

Yes! Let's get out of here.

Route Info.

"Travel by taxi deep
into the Agafay Desert

to find your next clue."

- Let's go, baby.
- Hell yeah, Mom.

- We arrived first and we got out first.
- Yep.

This is why we came on the race.

If you would have asked me
ten years ago,

would I have ever chose my mom
as a partner,

probably not.

But today's a new day.

You freaking crushed it.

- Got it. Got it.
- Let's go, baby!

- Come on, Andrea.
- Give it your all. Let's go.

People pay money to go to those rooms

where they can destroy things.

And I just got to do it for free.

- Thattagirl.
- Ready?

- Keep the pace, Conner. Come on, now.
- "Try again."

It was fun smashing 'em.

- Bro. - What's up?
- That'll do.

Come on, D. You can
do it. Come on, Cody.

That's it. You got it, Mich. Let's go.

Come on, Andrea.

There you go. There you go.

- Whoo!
- She's... Jenn,

you're so badass
that you broke the pottery.

Good job, G.

- I got it. Pop, let's go.
- You got it? Okay.

- Holy crap.
- Jo, you got this.

- Come on, Cody.
- Dreamo.

I think I smashed about 30.

- Way to go, Jenn.
- Andrea, good try.

You got this, Javi.

Good job. You nailed it.

Nailed it.

- Hello.
- You're still smiling.

- Go, Mich.
- Oh, God.

That scared me. Just a little cat.

Peekaboo.

Give it your all, Andrea. You can do it.

Oh, my God.

- Good job, G.
- Keep working, Jenn.

Keep working.

Full slam. Oh, yeah, that's it.

- That's it. That one actually has something in it.
- All right.

Let's go. Let's go. Come on.

Hell, yeah, G!

- Yeah!
- Don't panic.

It's time we can make up
at the next location.

Just stay calm.

Let's go, Abdul. Woo-hoo!

Yee-hee!

- Oh, God.
- I'm not sure how much

- assistance I can be.
- We got the Roadside Assistance.

This means Dafina can help me
in any, Roadblock,

or I can help her. We need that. Mwah!

Knocked that... out of the park!

Oh, my God.

We needed this, G. I... Come on.

It's okay.

- Oh, my God.
- Let's go, let's go,

- let's go.
- You got this.

Come on, Javi. Don't give up.

- Stay patient and positive.
- You got it.

Keep going.

- Come on. This is it, Jo.
- Right here.

Come on, you got this right now.

- Got it. Got it.
- Yes? Awesome.

Here's our bags. Come on.

Yeah! It's a camel!

- Oh, there's camels.
- There's a camel.

- Clue box. Okay.
- Go, Toufik. Go, Toufik.

Yeah, straight ahead.

- Aah!
- Okay.

Detour. "Walk or Talk."

The indigenous people of Northern Africa

have been captaining
these ships of the desert

for thousands of years
in trans-Saharan trade.

Keeping these revered animals well fed

is the number one priority
in this harsh climate,

something teams will do in this Detour.

To assemble their
makeshift feeding station,

teams must first roll an enormous tire

to a hitching post

and then fill it with fresh alfalfa

before retrieving two camels

and leading them back to enjoy

their leafy lunch.

A modern-day alternative
to a persnickety camel

is one of these high-powered
desert buggies,

something teams will use
to drive out into the desert

and search for three signposts

containing parts of the name
of an Amazigh tea

that they need to memorize.

Then, traveling to this tented camp,

they must correctly recite

the name of the tea to an elder.

Once they're linguistically locked in,

they can have some of this traditional tea

and pick up their next clue. Shukran.

- Camel Walk. Okay.
- Camel Walk. Camel Walk.

- Camel Walk.
- All right, we're doing Camel Walk.

So there are the camels.

- There's tires over there. Look to your right.
- Yeah.

- These are big tires.
- They are.

We got this. We got this.

"Each of you must roll one tire..."

"To a feeding station."

Okay.

- Just push forward, okay?
- Okay.

- I love you.
- I love you. Oh, God.

It's okay.

Aah!

- You good, baby?
- Yeah. - Oh, yeah.

These are heavy.

You got it, baby.

I couldn't be more proud
of my mom. She might be one

of the oldest ones, if not...

- Hello?
- Mom, I love you.

She's 56.

- Well...
- Look at her.

- No.
- I got her on a full training program.

I would do anything to make sure

that I don't let Riley down.

Crying is acceptable.
Quitting is never okay.

- Slow is smooth.
- Slow is smooth.

- Smooth is fast.
- Smooth is fast.

Oh, my gosh. Dalton.

- You okay?
- Help.

- I can't.
- Okay.

So, let's get you started.

We got to use this hill, okay?

There you go. Keep going.

Help me get up on it.

Those tires were so heavy.

I don't know
how much they weigh, but when

one would start coming down on me,

I literally couldn't hold it up.

- Use the momentum.
- Oh, gosh.

Let's go. You're a beast. Let's go.

You got it. It's out there.

- This sucks.
- Come on, one more, Andrea, one more.

I'm a little anxious 'cause
we got here in third place,

and there's only four of us.
Andrea's getting tired.

I can see that,
and there's nothing I can do.

- I got it! I got it, I got it.
- Let's go.

It's there, baby. Don't give up.

Don't give up. It's out there.

- How many can there be?
- Come on, Jenn.

- You got it, Javi. This is the one.
- You're gonna get it.

- You got this.
- Oh, come on.

- I know you got it.
- I love you so much.

The race is a marathon,
not a sprint, Jenn.

You got this.

We got it in Madrid.
We're gonna get it here.

- Let's go, Lee.
- That's the one. That's the one.

- Oh, my God.
- Come on.

This is tough.

I believe this is it. I believe this is it.

Just breathe. You got it.
Don't-don't give up.

No. "Try again."

Standing on the side,

not being able to take charge

of the situation
was extremely difficult for me.

All I wanted to do

- was help.
- Where are you at?

That's when the Roadside Assistance

would have meant so much.

Looking for a good old pot with a clue.

It's been a work in progress

for me letting him take control.

Jenn, you're doing great.

Let's go, let's go, let's go.

You're a beast. Let's go.

You got it. It's out there.

You got it, baby. You got it. You got it.

- Whoo. I got it.
- You got it?

- Okay, let's go.
- Got it.

Let's go. I'm proud of you.

Agafay Desert?

All right, don't worry.
You have come back

from behind before.

I've watched you come back
from behind.

You're smart.

It's a needle-in-a-haystack
challenge. You can do this.

Just gonna keep working.

- Let's go.
- Okay.

- All righty.
- Thank you.

All right, bro. It's up here. Come on.

Oh, bro, why are
they going back that way?

Where is the clue box?

Heck if I know, dude.

- I feel like the feeding station sounds easier.
- Yeah.

- Camels.
- Camels here. Let's go.

Let's go. They went to the wrong spot.

There should be a clue box somewhere.

- Let's go. Tire time.
- Whew!

Let's roll these tires, baby.

- Good job, guys.
- What's up, dudes?

- What's up dude?
- Keep crushing. Let's go.

It's okay. See if we can catch
Dalton and Daisha.

- Yeah.
- We think we got a good enough lead

right now where,
the memory challenge...

it might be a little bit of a risk.

We're confident in our physical abilities,

so, we're gonna

- tackle this one instead.
- Keep the momentum,

- boys, you got it. You got it, guys.
- All right.

Okay.

You good? Ready?

Slow and steady'll win this one.

All right, you can get it going
pretty quick. If you just keep

- that spin going, Conner, it helps.
- Yep.

Come on, don't worry about them.

Those are monster truck tires.

If they fail, you can probably

break a toe.

Let momentum take it.

Let it fall on you. And then...

Well, don't let it fall on you.

Oh, gosh.

Is this a no or you want to keep going?

No, let's keep going.

Mom, you're a freaking beast.

People have no idea.

I'm wearing this tire, baby.

Attagirl.

Let's go.

Momentum up this hill.

Take the second push, Conner.

Drop it. Drop it on the side.

Drop it on the side.

- Dadgum.
- It's okay.

- Boom.
- "Each camel requires seven..."

"Bundles of alfalfa."

It's over there.

Okay.

Jody, I don't know what to do here.

- You're a warrior, Jenn.
- You've done harder things.

- Oh, my God.
- We are the last team here.

It's not a great feeling,

but breaking pottery

and looking for a clue
isn't the hardest thing

that that girl's done in her life.

My mother was diagnosed
with pancreatic cancer.

And she passed away
when I was six months pregnant.

And Jody was also six months pregnant

at the time.

And the day she passed away,

Jody booked the next flight
and came down, and

was there to support me, and so...

We... we've always been there
for each other.

There's a lot of panic
when the other teams leave,

but the reality is
we're great at navigating.

We've got maps,

and hopefully, we're gonna
see this through

to Phil at the mat.

Oh, my God.

Where is the clue box?

- I got no idea.
- Where is the clue box?

- What do you want to do?
- Let's do Camel Walk.

- Let's go.
- Okay.

We're gonna drive a dune buggy.

How far down is it, Ran?

- Dune Buggy?
- Camel Walking?

- I think Camel Walking.
- All right, let's do it.

Here we are, here we are.

- You ready to do this, G? Okay.
- Yeah.

I decided to drive because Saran is

a crazy driver.

One time.

I went 156. Don't worry about it.

- Don't worry about it.
- Don't wor...

- Yeah, dune buggy in Morocco.
- We're doing this thing.

- In the desert. Whoo!
- Yeah!

Okay, let's keep our eyes peeled.

We had to drive a buggy,
which was freakin'...

So fun.

Amazing.

- In the desert.
- In the desert.

- Amazing.
- In Morocco.

Like, what?

Driving this buggy
with our helmets, looking crazy

with these big old goggles.

- This is so freaking cool.
- So freaking cool.

- And, G, you look so cool.
- Oh, yeah?

- Yes.
- Aw, thanks, G.

I told you you looked cool,
but you looked crazy.

Yeah.

Chi-town is in Morocco.

Here's one. This is one.

"Memorize how
to pronounce the characters

that spell the name
of a tea on the signs."

"Yan, ya,

"yaw, ya." Yan, ya, yaw, ya.

- Yan, ya, yaw, ya.
- So, ya, yaw, ya.

So, "N," "W." Got that.

Yan, ya, yaw, ya. Yan, ya, yaw, ya.

All right.

Oh, goodness.

You doing great, babe. Keep going.

It looks like we have to
roll a tire a really long way.

- For the camels?
- Yeah.

Come on. All the teams are right there.

We have an Express Pass if you're tired.

- Don't look at the other teams.
- You got to keep going.

Here's Pops and Dylan.
What do we need to do, Pops?

- Roll the tire? To Where?
- You roll the tire.

There, where the camels are. Let's go.

We both are strong in our own ways,

but one thing that's
really neat as a grandpa

is you see them grow
into their own leader.

Careful with tripping. Don't fall right now.

And that's good.
That's the way it should be.

He's getting older and stronger.

Attaboy.

They look really, really freaking heavy.

- Here comes the soccer girls.
- All right, here we go.

- They're gonna beat us in there.
- It doesn't matter, Dad.

Come on, Dad, we got this.

Oh, gosh.

Come on, Daisha.

- Too heavy?
- This is very difficult.

I can't. I'm sorry.

I can't.

- I'm sorry.
- It's pretty hard.

It was very humbling,
because in my mind,

I can do anything.

- Dadgum.
- Let's go.

That was impossible for me to do.

But that was my limit,
physically. I could not do it.

We have to go do the buggies.

- Three?
- Got it?

- Yup.
- Let's go.

Put a little pep on.

Yup. Let's do it.

I can do more.

Mom, let's just do this,
and we'll have to come back.

- Yeah.
- I can do one more.

- Mom, come on.
- I can walk one more, right?

Mom, let's go.

We're gonna have
to come back regardless.

- I got you.
- Okay.

Everyone's doing Camel Walk.

So maybe we should do the other one.

- I see alfalfa over there.
- Papa!

- Are you serious right now?
- I'm sorry.

You think I did it on purpose?

So far, we have made the right choices,

except, I don't know today about this one.

This one is super tough.

My arms are tired.
We have the, soccer girls

behind us. They are super
athletic and super fast.

We're doing some CrossFit
in the desert, baby.

It's so hot.

This is why I wanted to team up with Ali.

She's just so remarkable in her strength

and determination.

Come on, Jo.

I've seen her win World Cups.

I've seen her go to the Olympics.

But this is a whole different level.

I'm seeing her in the desert
in Morocco, just dominating.

You got it.

Where do we go?

- Up here.
- Hoof it.

It's okay.

- Okay, so we're gonna work together, y'all?
- We're working together, yeah?

When we get back, just say
what you guys memorized.

We're gonna say what we memorized,

and we can work it out, right?

- Okay, I got it.
- We got this.

Yeehaw!

Go.

Whoo!

We're having some fun today.

- Right here, right?
- Yeah, yeah. Okay.

Let me get out.

- Dafina?
- Yeah.

Come on, come on. Here we go.

Okay.

"Yah, yi, yan, yat, ya."

H, I. I'm gonna remember the last letter.

"Hinta."

That was the last letter of each phrase.

So I remember "hint a."

"Hinta." I'm gonna give you a
hint of this and a hint of that.

Oh, yes.

I say memorize.

I see Matt and Michelle. Dad?

- What?
- Matt and Michelle are here. You want to just use it?

We saw Ali and Joanna

- right behind us with the tires.
- Right behind us.

And then we look up,

and Matt and Michelle
had just gotten there.

I like our chances against them.

- Me too.
- Let's go.

- They're heading to... Let's go.
- You want to use it?

- Are you sure, Dad? Okay.
- Yes.

- They're using their Express Pass.
- Yeah.

Well, they saw us coming.

Come on, we got this.

Come on.

We got this, Jo.

- All right, come on.
- Alfalfa.

We choose to use our Express Pass.

- Thank you.
- Thank you.

"Travel by taxi
to the garden of Arset El Bilk

"in the city center of Marrakech,

and search for your next clue
near Jemaa el-Fna Square."

Now let's go to our taxi. He's over there.

- Okay.
- We have to do it.

I really, really wanted
to hold on to the Express Pass,

but that's what the Express Pass is for.

Did we go the wrong way?

We can't find a clue.

- It's frustrating.
- Is that it over there?

- Is that it? Up there. Up there.
- Maybe.

Yeah.

We ran a hundred feet
in the opposite direction,

past the box. So frustrating.

And it's just stupid little
things that just keep adding up.

- A lot of those guys...
- Are doing the camels.

Are doing the camels.

It was a very physical group
of people. You have,

- literally, Olympians.
- Professional athletes,

- Like, professional athletes.
- And... Yeah.

We're athletic.

We're not professionals.

So... let's, like, not do that again.

We're spending
way too much time together.

Yeah, that's weird.

- All right.
- So we're gonna do the buggies.

All right, let's go. You'll get the feel for it.

- Don't worry. I love you.
- Okay.

We're in Morocco in a sand buggy.

I love you. Let's go.

Let's see how this... Oh, goodness.

See you in this life or the next.

Is this one here?

There's the first one right there.

"Yan, ya, yaw, ya."

"Yan, ya, yaw, ya."

"Yan, ya, yaw, ya."

- Yeah, yeah, yeah?
- Yan, ya, yaw, ya.

Yan, ya, yaw, ya.

Yan, ya, yaw, ya.

Yan, ya, yaw, ya.

- Come on, Jenn.
- Nope.

You got this. Still got plenty of daylight.

They're still there, Dad.

Jody and Jenn.

Oh, my God.

Maybe using the Express Pass
was not the best idea,

but... we didn't know.

Oh, this is...

unfortunate.

Oh, are you stuck?

I am stuck in the tree.

Just really what I needed at that moment

- in time.
- Jenn.

Jenn, you got to be kidding me right now.

Oh, this is just...

Oh, look at the pack we got behind us.

- Oh, snap.
- What's up, friends?

Wow. They're walking free.

The camels aren't far. That's
the last thing we have to do.

God, I've always wanted to see a camel.

All right, we're fourth right now to this.

- Okay.
- Come on.

- Go get your camels.
- Go get 'em.

- They're vocal.
- Oh, baby, talk to me.

- Nice.
- Yup.

- Yeah, boys.
- How's the camels?

Oh, you know, they got
a little grumble to them.

We got a whole pack of 'em.

Got to go get the camels

and bring them over here.

It's us right here. Come on, buddy. Up.

Oh, no. He wants them already.

- Come on, baby.
- Oh, come on, buddy.

He's going to town.

Okay. Good job.

- Hey.
- Thank you.

- Come, come, come, come.
- Good job, ladies.

You're k*lling it.

- Watch out.
- Good job, guys.

- Good job. - Keep going.
- Don't get kicked.

I didn't know camels,

- like, roared.
- Yeah.

It was like a lion.

- Holy cow, dude. Holy camel.
- Yeah.

This is what we signed up for, man.

Yup. This is the race.

Come on, we're gonna go feed you.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

- It's literally pooping right at me.
- It's okay.

- Come with me. No, no, no.
- Over this way.

You've been doing good. Stay with me.

Come on, we got this. Come on.

I know you're hungry. It's right up here.

- Riley, great job.
- Come on, Mom.

- All right, guys.
- Good job, boys.

- Okay.
- Thank you. Shukran.

- Good.
- Thank you, thank you.

This way, this way. I know, I know.

- Let's go, let's go.
- Good job. We're catching up.

- Thank you.
- Yeah.

- It's crazy.
- Crazy.

Oh, God.

- Jemaa el-Fna is that way?
- Okay.

Is it this?

- This one.
- Okay.

Should we go down that way?

That's the box clue.

Come on, Andrea.

Right there. Come on, come on,
come on. I got it, I got it.

I got it.

Route Info.

This is the beating heart of Marrakech,

Jemaa el-Fna Square.

This chaotic, colorful marketplace

is among the most iconic and fascinating

gathering spots in the world.

Elaborate fruit stands like this

are a feast for the eyes.

Stacking them is an art form
mixed with risk management.

Today, creating this

gravity-defying display

is a challenge for teams
on this leg of the race.

After choosing a fruit stand,

teams must pack and stack fruit

to perfection to get their next clue.

Okay, let's go.

We need to find a fruit stand

that we're supposed to copy.

Juice cart number 30.

Where's 30?

Oh, my God. This is insane.

The market was

- tons of people.
- It was crazy.

There were things

happening everywhere.

I mean, it was hectic.

Dad, here. 30 is right here.

- Where?
- Here. Okay.

- We have to mimic this display.
- Okay, okay.

Oranges, peaches,
and then limes, and bananas.

Pomegranates, ginger,
and then the pineapples.

Dragon fruit, pomegranate. Ready?

Okay, this way.

This is gonna be hard.

I want to get first place.

Down here, Dad.

Okay.

- I'm gonna pass them to you.
- Yeah.

- Give me two at a time.
- Okay, okay.

- Let me open them.
- Apples here.

I love puzzles, and it was really a puzzle.

They need to be in straight lines.

They're different sizes.

Please try to give me more even ones.

This one's too small.
Don't give me weird ones.

In my brain, it clicked that
the size of the fruits mattered.

So, I started asking my dad

for specific sizes of fruits.

- Are we good?
- Yeah.

And then, I started putting

the bigger ones at the bottom so
they could support the weight.

Where's the bananas?

- Do you see bananas?
- No.

And we need dragon fruit, too.

But then we realized

that we didn't have all the fruits.

All right, let's go get them.

Back here, probably.

And we needed to go somewhere else

to find them

and run back and forth with the fruits.

- Here. Dragon fruits, Dad.
- I know.

Okay, you got it?

So it was also a physical challenge.

If I jog, I'm gonna throw up.

And we were exhausted.

I feel like I'm gonna pass out.

- Okay, what's next?
- Dragon fruit goes there.

Oh! sh**t.

You're putting them wrong.

See, this square you're going to...

Imagine if there were still a team there.

- Wait. There is a team there.
- There's still a team there?

- I s... I swear.
- Oh, my God.

Wait, I could be wrong.
I swear, I saw the moms.

- I feel terrible for them.
- Of course.

But if they are still

there, then we're completely fine.

We're not gonna give up,

but it's...

gonna take... a miracle

for us to not be last.

I just don't know where to look.

So cool!

Keep going, quick. Keep going, quick.

We got another one coming up.

Doing good, doing good.
I got your eye, I got your eye.

- I've got yours.
- Yup.

"Li w-win." Li win.

All right, let's use
that memorization, babe.

Okay. What does that say?

The Detour was a blast.

I grew up mudding, so,

you have a four-wheeler, and you just go

through the mud and you spin in
circles and you just get messy

- and you have a good time.
- She's a little country.

Yeehaw!

"Yal, yi, yaw, yi, yan." You got it?

Jaime, there's no kids in the back seat.

You can hit that gas pedal, bro.

Little closer.

Little closer.

"Yan, ya, yawa."

I'm not a very articulate person
in general.

Like, I work construction,
where we go like,

"Hey, you put the thing next to the stuff

and then hit it till it breaks."

And everybody around you knows
exactly what you're saying.

"Yan..."

"Yan, ya, yaw, ya."

So, trying to read the signs is like...

Yan, ya, yaw, ya.

Yan, ya, yaw, ya.

"Yan, ya, yaw, ya. Yan, ya, yaw, ya."

Yan, ya, yaw, ya.

Yan, ya, yaw, ya.

You got it, G.

Okay.

Yah, yi, yan, yat, ya.

- Yah, yi, yan, yat, ya.
- Wait. Wait.

- I think I'm gonna get confused.
- Please just say

the name of the tea.

I'm sorry. That's not correct.

- Okay.
- Dalton?

We got it.

So what do you think?

- We'll just look at everything again.
- Okay.

Ya...

Yan, ya, yaw, yan. Ya.

Wait, wait, wait.

Sorry, that's wrong. Yeah, yeah.

Thank you. Shukran.

They said no. Y'all try it. Let's try it.

Second attempt. Let's do this.

Okay, the name of the tea is.

"Yan, ya, yaw, yan."

- I'm sorry. That's wrong.
- Okay.

All right, thank you.

- Let's go. We tried.
- Let's go.

Me and her will memorize the...

the second one, the second one.

Let's go.

Yeehaw!

- There, there, there.
- No, they're gonna fall.

- Dad, Dad, Dad, Dad, help.
- I got it, I got it, I got it.

We have to be really careful.

Okay. Merci.

- Thank you.
- There we go. There we go.

- Let's go, let's go.
- Let's go. All right.

Eyes peeled, eyes peeled, eyes peeled.

I think we need to do the trays first.

Okay. Well, do you want to go back?

Because every time we touch things...

Careful, careful, careful.

- Let's do the trays first.
- All right, let's go look.

Rip and roll, baby.

- What's next?
- Oranges

- and apples.
- Oh, other team right here.

- Number 30 is our example?
- Yeah.

That's intense. That's crazy.
We got to get going on this.

- Apples on the right.
- Oranges in the center.

- Oranges.
- We got to move faster.

Thank you. Okay.

- Is this it?
- Yes, go.

- Okay.
- Thank you. Bye.

- Thank you.
- Come on, Mom.

- Coming, baby.
- Pop, let's go.

Here we go.

Yo, great job, guys.

I swear when we passed
the pottery place,

- Jody and Jenn were still there.
- Jody and Jenn?

- I swear I saw blue.
- Shut up.

Right here. This, this, this, this.

- Oh, dude, yeah. Let's see.
- Let's do this one.

Give me a big one, big one.

It looks simple, but fruits keep falling.

- I don't know.
- Dad, help, help, help.

Very hard.

- No, not there. Help me up here.
- What do you need?

Route Info.

"Create a fruitful display..."

"For your local fruit juicer

- "to receive your next clue."
- Okay.

- Maybe I'll just orange with you.
- Yeah, start doing orange.

Are these oranges or lemons?

- Right here.
- Oh, all the teams are coming in now.

They're right behind us.

It's okay, Dad. Don't look at them.

- Go, go, go, go.
- Right here, right here.

We're in this, man. We're
in this. Okay, let's go.

There's a lot of teams
behind us. As long as we do this

- kind of quick, we'll be fine.
- Okay.

- Second time's the charm, baby.
- Yeah.

- Hello. - Hi.
- Hi.

- Okay.
- Yes.

Yeah.

- Thank you. - Thank you.
- You're welcome. You're welcome.

Thank you.

We got this.

Yeehaw!

We got this, we got this.

Shukran.

- They're drinking the tea?
- Oh, yeah, they got it.

We got this.

Okay. "Yan, ya, yaw, ya."

Let's go. Go. Come on.

Let's do this.

Shukran.

They're, like...

Good luck, y'all.

Yeah, it's... That's the right name.

- Can I give you a hug?
- Shukran. - Yes.

- Thank you so much.
- You're welcome. You're welcome.

Thank you so much.

- Good job, guys.
- You guys got it.

Yah, yi, yan, yat.

I'm sorry. It's wrong.

Okay, let's go talk to them.

Daisha, Dalton.

Okay, go to him, go to him.

Come closer, please.

Yah, yi, yan, yat, ya.

Yal, yi, yaw, yi, yan.

Pronounce the "yaw."

- Yaw.
- Yaw.

Ya...

- I'm sorry. That's incorrect.
- I'm sorry.

- Thank you. Oh.
- You're welcome.

- You got it, guys. Come on.
- Come, come, please.

- Closer and speak up, please.
- Yes. - Yes.

- All right.
- That was good.

- That was a good one.
- You got this.

- Do we have to do it again?
- Yup, let's go.

- Come here. What-what y'all... what are y'all struggling with?
- I don't know.

- That's the problem.
- Talk to me. Talk to me. What'd you say?

- Yah. Yaw.
- Yah.

- Yah, yi, yan.
- Yah...

I see Daisha and Dalton giving them

all of the answers. Like, they just

gave them everything.

Just think, yal, yaw...

- That's the third one?
- Yi, yan.

You're kind of pitting us

against each other at this point.

- Yat. Ya.
- Yat. Ya.

Whatever.

- Yah, yi, yan.
- Yah...

- Yat. Ya.
- Yat. Ya.

- We like Jaime and Cody.
- We like working with them.

And I think it started

at the first Roadblock.

- Yeah.
- I know.

I gave her a hug, and

we've been close ever since.

Yaw.

We're not the strongest.

We're not the smartest.

But I think that

our relationship with
the other teams is an advantage.

You are correct.
You spelled the right name.

- Thank you, thank you.
- You're welcome.

- You got it?
- Good luck.

Thank you so much. Thank you.

"Travel by taxi to garden of Arset El Bilk."

- All right, let's go.
- Let's go.

- We did what we needed to do on that one.
- We did.

- We did, G.
- Give me some, G.

We both call each other G.

- 'Cause we're gangsters.
- I don't know.

We are gangsters in this thing called life.

- Finally.
- Oh. Sorry. I know.

- My tongue is...
- Now you can try our Moroccan tea.

Oh, my goodness,
that is absolutely delicious.

- Thank you. Okay, baby, we got to make our way to Ziad.
- Yeah.

We got to go. Like, so fast.

Finally.

- Whoo!
- That's correct.

It's better right now.

You can drink tea.

I'm feeling a little defeated right now.

Been here for a long time.

Oh, look at that.

Who hid that there?

This feels good.

Who? Who?

- No, she's not.
- She's still there.

- No, she's not.
- Oh, my God.

So bad.

Like, I can't imagine,
like, going out on that.

It's just... It's so sad.

You got this.

I feel like I've gone through every

nook and cranny of this place.

Forty-seventh try's the charm.

Do it.

- Get it open.
- Come on.

Seriously?!

- Oh, my God.
- Oh, God.

- Oh, my God.
- Come on, Jenn.

You can do it. You can smash it.

Please, please, please, please, please.

- Is that it?
- Let's go.

You did it?

All right, let's go, let's go, let's go.

Oh, man.

You should feel so great
about yourself right now.

- I don't.
- You did not give up.

- This is so tough.
- Just got to very careful.

No, we're good. We're good.
Oh, no. They're all gonna fall.

Please speed it up a little bit.

Easy?

Take our time. Take our
time, and that could be okay.

- We're doing great. We're doing great.
- We got this.

God, dude, it's not looking good.

Oh. Dude.

- Wow.
- My goodness.

It's difficult 'cause
they're all different shapes.

Yeah. This is gonna take forever.

These do not want to stay.

Oh, no.

That sucks.

- Dang, dude.
- Tragic one.

Pop? Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop?

I need support.

I'm trying to fit these pineapples,

and they just don't fit.
This is all gonna collapse.

It is freaking hot.

- Are you good?
- Just keep going. Don't worry about me.

Slow and steady.

- Look at theirs.
- This doesn't look good.

Breathe. I'm a little worried.

- Focus on the bottom.
- Okay. Baby.

In our minds, we're like,

"Truly, this can't be hard.

It's just make a fruit stand."

No. Damn it. Mom.

And the next thing you know, fruit

just starts falling down.

You're not listening to me.

So can we please make an adjustment?

'Cause it's not working. This...

Do you want to use the Express Pass?

- I think we're using the Express Pass.
- Brutal.

This is gonna take a long time,
and this is gonna fall.

- Do you want to use it?
- Let's use it.

I knew

that it was gonna take a while,

and I'm like,
"We've got the Express Pass

for exactly this reason."

Can we use the Express Pass?

Oh, I hope this is a good decision.

Ann-Marie and Riley
just used their Express Pass.

I think it's pretty dumb.

I mean, they know
they're ahead of a lot of teams.

There's not really a point
in using it right now.

I wouldn't have done it, that's for sure.

That was gonna keep falling.
This was smart.

Go.

Teams must now race

to Koutoubia Gardens.

Spread out over five acres,

this peaceful retreat,

built behind this 12th century mosque,

is the Pit Stop for this leg of the race.

The last team to check in here

may be eliminated.

- Find Phil.
- Oh, no.

The mosque. It's that way.

Come on, Mom. The mosque.

Right there. We better get first.

Ann-Marie and Riley did us a favor

- using their Express Pass.
- Yeah.

One less thing to worry about for us.

Nice job, bro. Keep it going.

This is ridiculous.

- It's gonna k*ll us.
- They're all gonna fall.

- One up there.
- Hold on, hold on.

- There we go.
- Right there.

- No.
- There, there, there.

- I don't think so.
- Just do it.

- Dad.
- It's okay, it's okay.

- This is so tough.
- I think we've got to go faster, Jo.

Oh, my goodness.
Whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop.

Ann-Marie and Riley
used their, Express Pass.

I'm feeling good, though.

There's a lot of teams
that aren't here, so,

I think we'll be all right.

- Do you have everything?
- Yeah, let's go. Go, go, go.

- Okay, let's do this.
- Let's go. Let's rock.

- You're so awesome. Thank you.
- You're a rock star.

"Create a fruitful display
for a local fruit juicer

to receive your next clue."

Cool. Yeah.

- They're right there.
- This is it.

Go, go, go, go, go, go, go.

Hurry. Hurry up, baby.
You got to hurry up.

Here we go. This way, this way,
this way, this way.

"Create a fruitful display
for a local fruit juicer

"to receive your next clue." Okay.

Cart number 30 is a finished example.

"Use the fruit provided on the handcart

to create your fruit display."

We're stacking a fruit display.

We're making pyramids
just like the Egyptians did.

Oh, this is gonna be really hard.

I was told to just do the,

row of oranges across.

Michelle seems pretty locked in,

so I am going to just knock
that out and see what's next.

- Juice stand.
- Here, baby, here.

Okay, let's write stuff down.

So we get to the example

to take notes for what we need.

- Give me the pen, give me the pen.
- What? I got it.

I'm gonna write it here, right here.

- Why? Here.
- Write large.

Okay, fine... Whatever.

So he starts

writing. He writes very small and slow.

- Apple.
- It's goes... No.

- Yellow apple. Yellow apple.
- All of it. All of it. Melon.

Two mangoes.

- Hold on, hold on. I can't s-I can't...
- Oh, my God,

you got to write faster.

I'll write if you can't.

I will write. Passion fruit.

Passion... fruit. Dragon fruit.

And I'm like, "Just put PF, DF, mango."

Like, just quick, like quick writing.

I will write faster.

You got to initial. Pineapple in front.

- "Dragon fruit."
- I can do it. Give it to me.

- You're going so slow, Javi.
- Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop.

I can write.

Calm down, babe. Calm down, please.

I write so much faster than you.
I always have.

Calm down. All right, pineapple.

One pineapple.

I guess we'll just stand here.
Red something.

I don't know what that is.

- Okay.
- I can write faster than you, you know it.

- Fine. Here.
- Thank you.

- What did you write?
- Write kumquat.

Oh my gosh, Javier, this is
the most confusing thing.

Two. You shouldn't have taken over,
so let me finish.

You should not have written this.

- My notes made sense. You... Okay.
- Whatever.

- Backward banana and then two melons.
- Two melons.

Let's go. We were taking way too long.

You're the one who was telling me

I was going so damn slow writing.

Mom, there's a fountain.

- Come on.
- I got you, baby.

I'm coming.

Welcome to Marrakech.

- Shukran jazeelan.
- Shukran.

Ann-Marie and Riley,
I am pleased to tell you

that you are team number one.

Yeah! Yeah. Get that. Good girl.

And you are the first
mother-daughter team

to win a leg in Amazing Racehistory.

As the winners of this leg

of the race, you have won
OneKeyCash from Expedia,

which you can use for a trip for two...-

to Singapore.

Oh, yeah!

Expedia has put together

a recommended
five-night unique experience

with a cycling adventure on Pulau Ubin

to explore rural sites

and Singapore's last authentic kampong.

It's a culinary tour
with a market visit and hands-on

cooking class.

A Gardens by the Bay night experience,

and a Tioman Islands snorkeling trip.

We're so excited.

First win ever for a mother-daughter

on Amazing Race. 39 seasons has been

way too long, but we're happy
that we were able

to be the ones to do it.

We came on the race
to spend time together,

to learn about each other,
and yeah, win together.

All right. Detour.

Let's ride some dune buggies.

I'll drive and then
you memorize the characters?

I am a forensic scientist.

I specialize
in questioned documents, and

part of my duties is to do

handwriting comparisons.

And I used to work for the
United States Secret Service,

Arabic writing.

I'm hoping, since I know the
Arabic alphabet, and I can read.

Hopefully that give us a leg up.

Oh, son of a monkey's uncle.

- Oh, Okay.
- Oh, geez.

- Did we just hit heads?
- We did.

- How many more?
- A lot.

Please speed it up a little bit.

Yeah, this is tough, dude.

This is gonna suck if we have to redo it.

Our initial reaction to
everything is fast, fast, fast.

We got a good pace now, bro.

Yeah, so organizing fruits

kind of worked against our grain because

if you're too sloppy with
your work, comes crashing down.

- Heads up.
- Damn, bro.

I think we just got to take it slow.

It was, like, our worst nightmare.

- Brutal.
- It was chaos.

These avocados are gonna be tricky.

All the fruits fall down.

You have to set them back up,

and they're falling again, and
then you got to... It's just,

like, monotonous.

- No.
- It's okay.

You get to the top,

and then you...

you put one on just to finish.

Just the little cherry on the top,

and the whole thing falls.

- No. I hate you.
- Come on.

- Oh, my goodness.
- This is so annoying.

Yeah, this is really,
really hard. Pretty brutal.

I don't think I want to look

at another piece of fruit for a while.

- Me.
- It's okay.

It was mentally exhausting,

but you got to just keep doing it.

You got this, Ali. Just keep building.

- Whoa.
- Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Oh, boy.

Stacking that fruit

over and over in that hot Moroccan sun...

it wasn't the most
pleasurable experience.

All my avocados are falling.

- Okay.
- Just go up.

- Take your time.
- Dang it.

- Just let 'em fall.
- Let 'em fall..

- We need to build that wider.
- No, no, no, no, no.

Help me, help me, help me. Right there.

- Okay?
- I knew that was gonna happen.

It was pandemonium.

It wasn't just us.

Everybody struggled with that.

Steady, G, steady.

We're doing great.

This is a lot of work.

They came down again?

You can do this. Careful, honey.

- No.
- Dang it.

Got to be very careful.

Come on, come on, come on.

Daish, I'm struggling with this peach.

- Two melons here.
- Be careful with those.

You got... Oh, come on. Bro.

- Hold on.
- We're almost done. Keep going.

- We need to finish right now.
- Back away.

You can see one fruit shifting, and as

- soon as one collapsed, that whole thing.
- Everything collapsed.

Was coming down.

It's really frustrating.

- We're so close.
- What was there?

Oh... Dad, Dad, Dad!

If you'd like to meet

amazing people on The Amazing Race,

then go to cbs.com/casting

and apply now.

The world is waiting for you.

This is ridiculous.

- The fruit keeps rolling off.
- It's hard.

- It's gonna k*ll us.
- Hold on, just let me fix it.

- Orange.
- I'm doing anything you tell me to do.

- Just be patient with me.
- Go, go, go, go, go.

Keep focusing. Hurry up.

- You're such a boss.
- Oh, my God.

Riley and them are smart
to use their Express Pass.

These do not want to stay.

These are dragon fruit here.

Oranges are falling.

No!

- Daish, be careful.
- I didn't do that.

I think you bumped into it.

They're sensitive.

I really don't think I touched it.

Come on, Javi. Come on, Javi.

- This is gonna fall.
- Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

No, no, no, falling. Falling.
Watch your head.

I'm having a lot of fun, actually.

One. One, two.

- I love grocery shopping.
- Three.

Sometimes people think, because
they can't afford organic,

that they shouldn't eat fruits at all.

And there are certain things

that I prefer organic,
such as mushrooms.

I'm a dietician,

so I think that helped, too,
because I actually know.

- Oh, are you? I had no idea.
- What the fruit were.

Consume your fruit,
whether it's organic or not.

I said it was an apricot.

"Actually, it's a pomegranate."

Have you ever tangoed with a mango?

Bro.

I'm gonna say
we're smoking this right now.

Woo-hoo!

Normally, I drive

a Volvo with children in it.

Oh, God. Oh, golly.

Give it some gas. Give it some gas.

So this was like
our Thelma and Louise moment.

Oh, wow. Oh, that was exciting.

Okay.

So, "Yal, yi, yaw, yi, yan."

You are a genius.

I'm tired. It's really hot.

There's people everywhere.

The fruit keeps rolling off.

Keep going. We're almost done.

- I say it's good.
- Okay.

- Long day.
- I know. Okay.

Okay, let's get those limes in.

Pineapple.

- Then we plate bananas, then we're done.
- Okay.

We're almost there.

No.

Jo, the limes are falling.

It's okay. We got this.

- That's not stable, though.
- Turn it around.

Now, don't push too hard.
Don't push too hard.

I didn't. I... I wasn't pushing.

- What else do we need?
- I think that's good.

- Can I get a check?
- Check?

Oh, damn.

Please.

- Yeah.
- Yes!

- Yes!
- Thank you. Thank you so much.

- Good job, guys.
- Shukran! Shukran!

Dad, let's go, let's go, let's go.

- Damn, bro.
- Let's get the last piece

- of the puzzle locked in, then go.
- We're almost there.

"Race on foot to the Pit Stop."

- Yes.
- Oh, hey, hey.

Koutoubia Gardens.

- Is that it?
- Just a couple little last-minute tweaks.

Okay. That looks good.

- Got it, brother?
- Yeah, yeah.

Can we get a check?

Conner and Garrett
are finishing right now.

- Okay. No.
- Hey, don't worry about them.

I'm not worried about the other teams.

- Don't even look at anyone else.
- Hey, Jo.

- We're almost there.
- Yup, we are.

I think we're almost there.
We just need bananas.

Pineapples and the bananas.

- Do we need mango?
- Yeah.

Okay, we should be good.

Yup.

Good?

- Good.
- Yeah. Thank you.

- Thank you, man.
- Thank you so much.

- Let's go, baby.
- They just got it.

Don't worry. Just have fun.

Do you think we're gonna be okay?

Yeah, I think we're gonna be fine.

- What do you think, Jo?
- Yeah, we're good.

Check, check.

- Whoo!
- Oh. Shukran!

Shukran!

- Did the girls finish?
- They must have.

- sh**t, man. We got to hurry.
- Don't worry, don't worry.

Matt and Michelle are quick, dude.

Michelle took control. Thank God.

Let's go, let's go. Come on.

Michelle can be controlling.

- Focus.
- But today, fruit market...

control me.

- Mich, can I move?
- No.

Hold it still.

I'm in such an uncomfortable
position right now,

but...

we're gonna get this done.

- Do you set this up every day?
- Yeah.

- Wow.
- Wow.

This is a lot of work.

- I'm getting really stressed.
- It's okay. We got it.

- It's almost impossible.
- Very frustrated right now.

Cody and Jaime are almost done.

They came after us
and they finished before us

because we were fighting.

- Task's almost done.
- I could kiss you.

- You're not done, by the way.
- Whatever.

- I'm locked in.
- Jaime, I got limes,

and then we have to go get
avocados and the bottom's done.

I have the most genius partner
in the whole wide world.

You are correct.

- You're so smart.
- I love you.

Now you can go to visit my friend.

Okay.

- Thank you so much.
- Cheers.

Cheers to you.

Cheers to us.

Cheers to Morocco.

- Thank you so much.
- Shukran. Oh, that's so good.

- Thank you.
- Amazing.

- Look, we have another team coming in.
- I know.

Conner and Garrett.

There they are. There you are.

Anuar and Andrea,

I am pleased to tell you
that you're team number two.

- Shut up!
- Oh. What?!

Joanna and Ali, I am pleased to tell you

that you are team number three.

- Whoo! Yes.
- Yay.

Conner and Garrett,
I am pleased to tell you

that you're team number four.

- Oh, yes.
- Okay.

Someone must have used the
Express Pass at the fruit stand.

Congratulations, guys.

Yeah, yeah. Riley and Ann-Marie did.

We thought we were first.

- Let go? Is it stable?
- No.

How did everyone else get it to stay?

- Dude.
- It's okay. Take a breath,

take a breath, take a breath.

Don't give up, don't give up.

- Orange.
- This is tough, but.

- Orange.
- We're getting there.

- Orange!
- Okay, sorry, sorry.

I know nothing other than

hand my wife fruit right now.

Lemon, orange, orange, orange.

Just keep going.

- I'm ginger.
- I'm banana.

Whoo!

- Hey, juice guy! Check.
- Check?

Check, please. Hey, check, please.

- Did you guys get it?
- I don't know.

- Yeah. Very good. - Thank you.
- Thank you, thank you.

- Dafina?
- Yeah.

They got it. I'm gonna move
with a little more urgency.

- "Find Phil." Cool. Yup.
- All right, let's go

- help Daisha and Dalton just for a minute.
- Yep.

- They're struggling.
- Daish, are you sure this is lime?

We get our clue.

"Where's Daisha and Dalton?"

What are they doing?
Where are they at?

They made a huge sacrifice

to help us at the Detour.

Come on, guys. What do you need?
We're here to help you.

- Oh, please help us.
- You're helping?

We need help stacking.

So,

if we just took off, that would have

absolutely eliminated that alliance,

and we weren't willing to do that.

Jaime and Cody finished up so fast.

- I know, they finished at lightning speed.
- So fast.

Daisha and Dalton are still working.

Thank y'all so much.

You guys saved us, we owe you.

Jaime and Cody are helping.

- Daisha and Dalton, by the way.
- Are you kidding me?

- I'm struggling right here.
- You know what,

- whatever.
- It's all right.

- Thank you so much.
- You guys rock.

At the Detour,
we helped Jaime and Cody.

What do you need?

And it really paid off 'cause

they stopped and they helped us.

- Little ones.
- Thank you so much.

We good to leave you guys?

- You think we're good?
- If not,

it'll just be something little here or there.

I think you guys got it.

Cody and Jaime are our favorite.

Thank y'all so much for helping.

- Bye, you guys.
- Later, guys.

- Let's go find a fountain.
- Oh, God. Cody and Jaime

- finished.
- Don't panic, now.

Like you're stacking dominoes.

Okay. It's okay.

You are amazing. I don't think

I can touch you in public, but I want to.

Check. Check, please?

Matt and Michelle are done.

Yeah, they're-they're k*lling us.

We have been here a long time, man.

Can't let this beat us.

Oh, come on, baby.

Come on, baby.

When we got there, we were, like, tied

with Ann-Marie and Riley
and Ali and Joanna.

Whoa, whoa...

And then they finished,

and we'd watch other teams
that started the fruit challenge

so far behind us get their check.

- Thank you!
- Thank you, bro. Thank you, bro. - Thank you.

You got it.
Okay, what do you want to do?

Why are we so bad at stacking fruit?

- Yes, yes, yes, yes! Clue please, clue.
- Yes.

- And it really humbled us.
- Yeah.

- Yes!
- Let's go! Amazing.

- All right, thank you, thank you.
- Thank you so much.

- Yes!
- We're good.

It just kind of drained our spirits a bit.

- Yeehaw!
- Oh, man, they finished?

I think we're the last ones

- still here.
- Oh, they've all left.

I'm getting nervous, man.

Don't get nervous. We're fine.
We'll recover.

I think we can get a check soon.

I really hope Jenn and Jody

are still stuck at the Roadblock.

It wasn't, "Race to the Pit Stop" yet, so...

Well, maybe someone really
struggled with that challenge

and had to do it a few times.

You never know.

Cody and Jaime, I'm gonna leave
you to tell Michelle and Matt

- what place they're in.
- Can you do the eyebrow?

Sixth place!

- Whoo!
- Whoo!

All right, I'm out of a job. I'm going home.

Carry on from here.
You're doing a great job.

- Shukran.
- Shukran.

You are team number seven.

Does everybody know that you guys...

- No.
- No. No one knows.

- That's between us.
- That's right. - Exactly.

- And everybody watching at home.
- Exactly.

I was just thinking that.

Are we very close, Abdul?

- Just a bit.
- Oh, okay.

In the taxi heading to that market,

we were trying to stay positive.

Thank you so much.

But we're probably still
probably in trouble.

Way out of it.

But we've watched The Amazing Race

for many, many seasons.

You never know what's gonna happen.

"Create a fruitful display
for a local fruit juicer

to receive your next clue."

Okay, hold on.

- What do we need?
- Big, yellow ones.

The one on the end, at the top?

- There's a monkey.
- Oh, there's a monkey.

- Don't touch the monkey.
- Okay, 30.

- This is the example.
- That's it. - That's it?

Watch yourself,
watch yourself, watch yourself.

- You ready?
- Not really.

- We got to hurry.
- Around the back.

We don't really have time anymore.

- Oh, my God, are you serious?
- Oh, my gosh. - Oh, my God.

- Oh, my God. They're...
- They just got here.

Doug and Dylan are here.

All of a sudden, there was hope.

- I cannot believe this.
- Okay, let's do this.

We saw Doug and Dylan. Two melons.

They were running
around the bend with a melon.

Just catching a glimpse
of Dylan and Doug, it's, like,

"Hey, maybe we're still in this."

- And then we really got after it fast with the fruit.
- Yeah.

We are a well-oiled machine.

Sometimes just a little bit
of hope is all you need.

Jenn was an absolute warrior today.

What do we need? What do we need?

We need six triangles
all the way across the bottom.

All the way to the corner.

Oh, man, Pop. It's gonna be
a race between us and them.

Do you think we're gonna be okay?

- Yeah, I think we're good.
- Don't panic, now.

We're at the end.
There's no reason to hurry.

It's actually not that challenging.

- It's kind of fun.
- Check. Check, check.

- Please, please, please.
- Please just stay.

Just don't breathe.

Oh, come on. No!

- Oh, my God.
- Aah.

- I'm stressed, dude.
- Oh, boy.

Man, this might be it.

- Oh, man, Pop.
- We were really close that time.

- We were right there, man.
- It was beautiful.

It was beautiful. Oh.

- We need to restart.
- Okay, here we go.

- No quit, no quit, no quit.
- Come on, we were so close.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We were close several times.

Oh! Okay.

Time out.

Let me go back over this way.

Looks so good. You love it.

Jenn, start filling in
around all my oranges.

Okay.

Erin and Javi,

I am pleased to tell you
that you're team number eight.

Let's go!

Congratulations.
You're team number nine.

How are you feeling?

Any alliances, any teams
that you feel like,

"Wow, we'd love to be able to
race with them towards the end"?

- Cody and Jaime.
- Cody and Jaime. - Cody and Jaime.

- Love 'em so much.
- They definitely helped us out

- with the fruit. - Yeah.
- It really stinks

that we're gonna have to beat
them in the end, but it's okay.

I don't know.

I'm really trying.

You're doing great, pal.

I'm proud of you.

Oh, I don't like the sound of that.

Good Lord. We're so good.

Jody and... They're
on the other side, right?

I think. I don't know.

- Okay.
- All right, what do... You know what we need?

We need mangoes, lime,

more dragon fruit, pineapple, lime.

- We got to go get stuff.
- Avocados.

And we might need more bananas.

All right. So close.

Why are we so bad at stacking fruit, bro?

- I don't know.
- Think we're just idiots.

- I don't know.
- I had a really good day with you.

I did, too. We just work hard
to the end, man.

I just want to get to the mat

at this point, man.

Okay. Hold on.

Oh, my God.

All right. I think we got to check it.

- One minute.
- What do we need? What do we need?

- Okay.
- There we go. Oh, God.

Is it the call to prayer right now?

This might be a little precarious here.

I think we need to, like, swap out

some of these limes with oranges.

Here we go, here we go.
Last try, here we go.

Check, check, check, check.

- Please, please, please.
- Good?

Please.

Please, please, please.

- Yeah!
-. Thank you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Oh, my God. Oh.

Do you want to get a check
or do you want more oranges?

- We're so close.
- I think we get a check.

"Pit Stop located

by Koutoubia Gardens Fountain
and find Phil."

Okay.

All right, come on. Thank you.

We got to find out where that is.

Let's run around this way
and see if the girls are there.

- I just want to know. Come on.
- Okay.

We don't need to know where they are.

- I just want to know.
- Okay.

- Looks good. Here, here.
- Come on, come on.

- Lime. - Oh, my God, dude.
- Dylan.

- Check?
- They're almost done.

- Oh, my God.
- Pop, we got to sprint.

- Let's go.
- Lime.

You love it. You love it.

It looks so good. It looks so good. Good.

Good? Let's go. Let's go.

- Okay.
- Thank you so much.

Thank you. Thank you. Shukran.

- We have to run.
- How close were they?

- They were almost done.
- Can you run?

I'm trying.

- Okay, let's do this.
- Koutoubia Gardens.

- We got to go this way.
- It's that big, giant thing.

Come on.

Don't lose me, man.
I need to walk a second.

- I got to walk.
- Are you okay?

Watch out for monkeys.
I'm right behind you.

Come on. We got to run.

- Okay. All right.
- Give me your pack.

Give... Come on. I got it.

Can you run? Let's go. Come on.

We've really put in the time
before each leg

to learn the orientation of the city.

So, we knew

- exactly where we needed to go.
- Right. We knew

the Koutoubia was

- right ahead of us.
- Right there.

And we started hauling.

It's across the street.

Do you see anything?

Do you think the gardens are there?

Do we think this is it?

I don't know, man. I hear music.

Wait, is this a mosque?

- This isn't it.
- Dylan, you're...

- Pop, we got to ask somebody.
- Right here.

Night was falling, and

the call to prayer began.

Could you map us here on your phone?

Just real quick?

We're in a race.

And we are in a really intense

race to the mat.

Where is it?

This is the Koutoubia.

But where's the garden behind it?

- Oh, God.
- That's them.

Pop, they're right there.

They're right there. Pop. Pop.

It's between us and them.

- Come on.
- Oh, God. Oh, there they go. There they go.

- It's this way.
- I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming.

I don't think it's that way. Come on.

- This way. Come on.
- Oh, I see them.

- Where? I don't see.
- Where'd they go?

- They went that way.
- Fountain.

- Pop, right here.
- Wait, wait, wait.

- Run, man, run.
- Please, run, Pop. Please.

- I'm going.
- Like your life depends.

- Okay.
- Please.

No, this isn't it.

He was wrong. Yeah, we went
the wrong way on that jog.

- It was probably that way.
- Okay.

sh**t. That could be it.

Stay tuned for scenes
from our next episode.

Next time on The Amazing Race...

A Moroccan Scramble
has teams neck and neck.

Running around
with our heads chopped off.

Some teams will do whatever it takes.

We don't want people
to know we're here.

- While others...
- Please stop being negative.

Have their relationships put to the test.

I need Jaime to get out of her own head.
