Cradily is believed to be able to extend

its tree-branch-like neck and catch prey with its tentacles.

But that's just a guess

'cause Cradily have been extinct for a long time now.

ASH/MAY They're extinct?

That's right, and in fact, I've heard that even the fossils

of its pre-evolved form, Lileep, are rarely ever found.

But I promise I saw a live one come right out

of those bushes over there!

ASH 'Well, there's nothing there now. Which way did it go?'

MAX 'I don't know!'

You probably just confused it

with some other Pokémon.

And when Lileep evolve

then they become Cradily.

But I thought Lileep had become an extinct Pokémon

just like Cradily.

These were cloned from fossils.

and the first step to achieving my life-long dream.

about ancient Pokémon, all down through history.

Well, first, how about if I show you

some pictures, just to give you a sense

of the timeline of Pokémon evolution.

They've got Lileep and Cradily in there.

How's that possible?

I thought that all those Pokémon were extinctified?

'It was actually still connected to the mainland.'

'It's an ancient plant. Armaldo ate them too.'

We can tell that because we found some of these

fossilized plants near the Pokémon fossils.

So it's our hypothesis that it was a big part of their diet.

PROCTOR 'Over many centuries, the water slowly rose'

'giving birth to Wales Island.'

'And eventually, all the ancient Pokémon, cut off and isolated'

'on the island, were driven into extinction.'

'But using new technology and my own technique'

'of using ancient Root Fossils and Claw Fossils'

'I finally succeeded in restoring'

'Anorith and Lileep to life!'

'The next step is to create an environment'

'where these beautiful Pokémon can coexist'

'peacefully with humans, so that I can turn this entire island'

'into an ancient Pokémon amusement park.'

My dream is almost a reality!

That's a really cool dream!

And just imagine creating live Pokémon from fossils, wow!

and keep the Cradily and Lileep our secret.

There's still an awful lot that's unknown about

the two of them, I'd like to keep studying them secretly

until I'm sure there's no danger.

I guess, after all these centuries

the last thing the ancient Pokémon would want is for people

to know they're here and then start bothering them.
