Today is Construction Day.

That's why I've got on this hard hat.

And I've got my toolbox.

That's because today,

we're gonna build something amazing!

We're gonna build this doghouse castle!

Today's Construction Day, so we're all gonna work together

to build:

The most amazing doggy house castle ever!

And when it's done, you guys can all play in it.

- Whoa! And then we can put a fancy horn on top.

[imitating trumpet]

- Great idea, Stuff.

Building something together

takes lots of listening and communication,

so listen up while I communicate this helpful rap.

- Your outfit looks awesome.

their construction outfits right now.

was gonna wear what I'm wearing too.

- Well, did you talk about it with them?

- Okay, guys, to build our castle,

we need to clear a space,

put up our castle walls, and then paint it.

all this stuff and move away dirt

We've got a lot to do.

I have a surprise for you all for Construction Day!

- While the dogs clean up,

I'm gonna go check on the puppies.

Okay, this is the perfect spot to build the castle,

so, um, I'll just put these chew toys...

The whole yard is clean of toys.

Now I've gotta take some of this wood over here

so we can start building our castle.

What?

Hey, I thought we cleaned up.

- Hey, Stuff, I thought everyone was gonna clean up

the playground and build the castle.

- Well, yeah.

I don't know what happened.

I was gonna build it right here,

so I moved a bunch of toys over there.

- Huh.

- Huh? Oh, Princess Pickles.

You thought you were supposed to put the toys here?

- Stuff, did you guys talk to each other

about what you were doing?

- Well, y-- um, there was a plan--

there wasn't a-- [clears throat]

- That's okay, Stuff.

Just give it another try, but this time,

let's communicate with each other first.

Did you see the dogs driving

all those construction truck thingies?

- Uh, yep. They're driving.

- It's amazing-- the scooping

and the vroom-vrooming and the beep-beeping

and the baas and the moo.

- Huh? Wait, there's no cow. How did you hear a moo?

- 'Cause all the trucks are moo-ving.

You get it? [laughs]

- Oh, brother.

- Okay, everyone. Bring it in. Bring it in.

[engines rumble]

Okay.

Let's talk about how to clean this place

and put up the castle walls.

I'm putting the toys over here now.

Come on. [chuckles]

Now, this is a construction site.

Great job, everyone.

- Okay, now that we cleared a space,

built the castle frame and walls,

all we have to left to do is paint it.

Hmm.

The blueprint says that...

it should be painted purple.

Sound good? [dogs barking]

- Hmm. Wonder what color I'll paint the walls.

- Oh. Great timing with the paint, Zippy.

Okay, guys.

Now we're ready to paint.

[gurgling]

Zippy. What kind of construction truck makes that sound?

- [chuckles]

Well, I guess all this hard work

is making me and my tummy hungry.

- That makes sense.

Okay, well, you guys start painting,

and I'll go grab you a snack.

- Ha-ha. Okay, guys.

I'm always just so excited to see you.

- Oh, well, I'm putting together snack time

while the dogs build a castle.

- Build? I love to build things.

I build teeny, tiny cute things.

See? I've built this tiny chair...

and this tiny table... [chuckles]

And this tiny rope.

- Yep. You can use it just like a big rope.

The wall is supposed to be purple.

- What? Oh, no.

Aw, so sorry, guys.

I guess I just wasn't paying attention.

- Stuff, when you're part of a construction team,

you have to be a good listener.

- Oh, okay.

From now on, I'm gonna listen to everything

with my big doggy ears.

- Okay.

- I just wish I could

take off these bones

so we can paint the wall purple.

- Oh, we can!

And I know just the fire hydrant that has what we need.

- Actually, we need to use your water

so we can wash the paint off the castle walls.

- Water is on the way!

Now that we cleared a space, built a frame,

painted the walls,

all there is left to do is put it together.

on top of the castle.

I totally forgot it inside Mutt & Stuff.

Well, I'll go grab it

while you guys start putting up the walls.

- Oh, no problem, Calvin.

Okay, everybody.

It's time to put it all together.
