[Peter] "The Tale of the Frightened Fox."

[instrumental music playing]

Come on, you two.

The blackberries are just over this hill.

[panting] You said that
about the last hill, Peter.

Are you sure you remember where they are?

[panting] I think… I might… need a rest.

[Benjamin panting]

Why did you bring those anyway?

To fill with blackberries, of course.

[Lily] Hey, look.

Florence has found
a little hole in the bottom.

They have to have those.

-They're part of my dad's can-a-phone.
-What's a can-a-phone?

It helps you talk to someone
even when you're far apart.

I'd show you, but I need some string.

[Lily gasps]

Just-in-case-pocket, just in case.

[instrumental music playing]

Keep going. Keep going.

Keep going.

-Whoa!
-Whoa! [grunts]

Um, stop.

[laughs]

Hey!

-Guess what?
-[gasps] It works.

Yeah. And I found the blackberries.

Only, there aren't that many left.

Benjamin, your can-a-phone is brilliant.

You can use it to carry berries

-and to deliver important messages, like--
-Oh, no. Mr. Tod.

Yes, exactly.

Messages that warn us
when horrible fox is near.

He's right behind me, isn't he?

What luck!

Three juicy rabbits

and the makings of a blackberry sauce
to go with them.

[whimpering] Uh-oh, there's no way out.

I've got you-- Whoa.

-[yelps] Whoa!
-Run for it!

[grunts] Oh, that's prickly.

Botheration.

Looks like the only thing I'll be having

with my blackberry sauce
is blackberries. Bleh.

[mumbles indistinctly]

Come on.

Mr. Tod must have taken the other one.

Lucky my dad's got
some extra cans at home.

Lucky?

Mr. Tod took our stuff.

He could have got us, too.

We should go home.

I guess sometimes
a good rabbit has to give up.

A good rabbit never gives up.

Back in a minute.

[both] Huh?

[Mr. Tod mumbling indistinctly]

[door opens]

[sighs in relief]

[Mr. Tod] Lum-da-dum-da-dum.

Now, where are those blackberries?

[sniffing]

[gasps]

[sniffs and gasps]

Oh, no.

They must be here somewhere.

-Aha!
-[Mr. Tod grunts]

-Oh, goodness. [mumbles]
-[gasps]

-Whoa!
-[clangs]

[gasping] What was that?

[whimpers]

Eh, silly old fox, you're hearing things.

I've got to get out of here.

The window.

[grunting]

[grunting]

[muffled] It's stuck.

[gasps]

[shrieks]

Oh, my poor nerves.

[gasps]

The chimney. I'll climb out. [grunts]

Peter should be back by now.

Where is he?

If I didn't know better,

I'd say he went to get
those blackberries back from Mr. Tod.

[both gasp] Mr. Tod!
