[Peter] "The Tale
of the Treehouse Rescue."

[Peter] Hurry!

[Mr. Tod] Come back here.

[Mopsy and Flopsy grunting]

[Peter] Faster.

[grunting continues]

I said drop the shopping and run.

And lose our brand-new dresses?

Unthinkable!

[panting]

[breathlessly] If you…
If you just stop a moment,

I'll help you.

And then help myself to a rabbit supper.

[Peter] Come on!

-[Mopsy and Flopsy] Hey!
-[grunts]

Don't throw it.

[yelps, grunts]

-[Mr. Tod groans]
-Let's go.

[Mopsy and Flopsy panting]

[groaning]

[grunts]

[growls]

[rabbits panting]

We need to hide.

Aha! This way.

Nowhere to go, but up.

What's a lift doing
in the middle of the woods?

-[gasps]
-[Peter grunts]

No way.

I am not getting in
that rickety old thing.

-[grunts]
-It looks dangerous.

-Trust me, it's all hungry foxes.
-Hey!

-Stop it.
-[Mr. Tod] Yoo-hoo!

-[gasps, shushes]
-Peter?

[Mr. Tod] Rabbits, where are you?

[Mr. Tod grunts]

[shudders]

Oh, how do they always do that?

-[gasps] Don't look down, Mopsy.
-Phew!

I'm not.

[squirrels whooping]

[both] Where are we?

Welcome to the secret treehouse.

[squirrel yelling]

-[both exclaiming]
-[Peter chuckles]

Oh yeah, you might wanna watch out
for low-flying squirrels.

Oh, look, Mopsy.

-[gasps]
-Oh, it's a sweet little play house.

I prefer "hideout."

-Wow!
-Cool. What does this do?

-[Peter] Careful.
-Wow!

-Is that a slidey-slide?
-[gasps]

It's an escape chute.

You know, for emergencies.

[objects clattering]

-Wow!
-[Peter] Whoa!

Look. A telescope.

[gasps] Mopsy!

And such a sweet little table.

It goes up and down, up and down,

and up and down.

Up and…

Okay, we get the idea. [grunts]

Hey!

This place is so much fun.

Thanks.

It's the greatest place
in the whole woods.

And best of all…

[whispers] It's a secret.

A secret, huh?

The coast is clear. Mr. Tod's gone.

Let's go.

Promise you'll keep quiet
about this place?

Oh, we promise, Peter.
Your secret is safe with us.

[panting]

-[Benjamin] What?
-You did what, Peter?

You showed Flopsy and Mopsy
our secret treehouse?

Oh, this is bad. Very bad.

We made a super-solemn, nose-twitch,
ear-scratch, rabbit paw promise

never to tell anyone.

I know,
but there was nowhere else to hide.

Mr. Tod was right behind us.

I don't know, Peter.

Don't worry. Flopsy and Mopsy
aren't interested in treehouses.

They've probably forgotten
all about it by now.

[all gasp]

Could you close the door?
You're letting all the warm air out.

Do you like
what we've done with the place?

Um, what's happened to our escape chute?

[Mopsy] Too dangerous.
Anybody could just slide down it.

I told you, it's an escape chute.
You're supposed to slide down it.

Ah! Come on, boys. It's not so bad.

Let's not overreact.

Oh, and we got rid
of all that old junk over there.

[gasps] What?

My nature table!

Where's my leaf collection,
and my twigs scrapbook?

And my compendium of weird-looking rocks?

She really loves her weird-looking rocks.

[Peter] That's it.

-Flopsy and Mopsy, time to go.
-[gasps]

-Come on.
-Hey! Watch out.

[Peter grunts]

We're going to tell Mother
about this place.

You promised not to tell anyone.

Mopsy promised.

But you can't.

-Oh, yes, we can.
-Oh, no, you can't.

-[Flopsy] Oh, yes, we can.
-[Peter] Oh, no, you can't.

-[Mopsy] Oh, yes, we can!
-[Old Brown gasps]

[Peter] No, you can't!

[hooting]

Sometimes I'm glad
I don't have brothers or sisters.

-[Old Brown hooting]
-[gasps]

Look. Old Brown.

Rowdy rabbits!

Will you all be quiet!

-[Lily] Run!
-[rabbits screaming]

-[screaming continues]
-[grunts]

[Old Brown exclaims]

This way, please.

[Peter straining] It's locked.

But the treehouse
doesn't even have a lock.

We had two.

A locked door is a safe door.

Not when there's an angry owl
flying around.

Where's the key?

[Lily] Oh, no. It's inside.

[growling]

-[growling]
-[screaming]

Rabbits are brave. Rabbits are brave.

Just-in-case-pocket, just in case.

[grunts]

[Old Brown] Bothersome bunnies!

[all screaming]

[Old Brown] I've got you know.

-[Flopsy] Mopsy!
-[Mopsy screaming]

[grunts]

Phew! It's okay.

Old Brown caught Mopsy.

Huh?

[all] Old Brown caught Mopsy!

-[laughs evilly]
-[Mopsy screaming]

[hooting]

[Lily grunting]

[Peter] Perfect.

Tie this to something.

Okay.

Um, why?

[grunts]

[Peter grunts]

Oh!

[gasps]

Must tie, tie, tie…

I've got this.

[Benjamin whimpers]

[Peter shouts]

-[bucket thuds]
-[Old Brown grunts]

[Mopsy whimpers]

[both straining]

-[Mopsy screaming]
-It's okay.

Old Brown dropped Mopsy.

[gasps]

[all] Old Brown dropped Mopsy!

[Lily] Oh, no.

-[Mopsy whimpering]
-There she is.

Help!

[Peter] Come on.

[all] Whoa!

[shouting] Mopsy, don't let go!

Uh-huh, I wasn't planning to.

Don't worry, Flopsy. We'll get her.

-But how?
-[Benjamin whimpers]

-[Nutkin whooping]
-Huh?

[mimicking fanfare]

Don't worry, Mopsy.

It's Flopsy.

I mean, Flopsy. [chuckles]

You twins look so much alike.

[hooting]

[Benjamin] Oh, no. Old Brown.

[shouting] Squirrels, engage owl defenses!

We've got to save Flopsy.

Mopsy!

I mean, Mopsy.

Let's show this owl
how we squirrels take care of business.

[motor chugging]

[gasps]

Okay, new plan.

Squirrel Tribe, Formation Seven.

[all] Ta-da!

Sorry. Ten.

[all] Ta-da!

No, wait. Uh, Nine?

-[all] Ta-da!
-Six.

-[all] Ta-da!
-The bottle thing.

[all murmuring]

Oh, we really need a number for that.

[Nutkin] So, Mopsy,
the plan is that I swing across and…

-[Old Brown hooting]
-[gasps] No time.

-[grunts]
-Hey!

[Mopsy crying]

[Flopsy] Help Mopsy!

Got you now.

[laughs evilly]

-[squirrels gibbering]
-[gasps]

Tailfeathers!

[squirrels squealing]

[Old Brown grunts]

-[hooting]
-[screams]

Oh, no.

I'll get you now.

Mopsy. [grunts]

Oh!

-Aha!
-[Nutkin whimpers]

-[Old Brown] Nutkin!
-Ah! My hairpin.

-[whimpering]
-Grab my paw, Mopsy.

I'm really not enjoying myself.

Mopsy is too scared to let go.
I can't reach her.

-[Peter] Whoa!
-[grunts]

Flopsy.

What was it Dad used to say?
"A good rabbit never gives up."

Rowdy rabbits!

-[growls]
-[Flopsy] Hey, owl!

-[groans]
-Ha! You leave our sister alone.

Tailfeathers!

[grunts] Ow!

Tailfeathers? [gasps]

-[grunts]
-[lock clicks]

Whoo! I did it.

Hey, everyone.

[Mopsy] Help!

-[Flopsy] It's okay, Mopsy.
-[Lily gasps] Oh, no.

Jump. You can do it.

[all] Whoa!

Mopsy!

-Wow. Nicely done, girls.
-[Old Brown hooting]

Uh, Peter…

-[growls]
-[Benjamin whimpers]

You won't get away that easily.

[Lily whistling]

Coming up?

-[Peter] Lily.
-[Mopsy and Flopsy] Yes!

This way.

[squirrels chittering]

-[Lily] Everyone, run.
-[Old Brown] Rabbits!

-[Lily] In there.
-[Old Brown grunts]

[grunts, groans]

[shouts]

[groaning]

Bothersome bunnies!

[Nutkin] Hey, rabbits.

I thought if we all put one of these
on our heads, like armor,

maybe it would…

And everyone's gone.

Oh, well.

[exclaims]

[all laughing, cheering]

Well, I guess all we have to do now
is wait here until Old Brown leaves

-and then--
-[clanging]

-[Nutkin grunts]
-[Lily chuckles] Nutkin.

-[Nutkin groans]
-[all laughing]

Hey, what are you doing?

Going home.

I thought you said
that chute was dangerous.

Please! We've just had
a treetop battle with an owl.

That's dangerous.

[both whooping]

[laughing]

[all whooping]

-Whoo-hoo!
-Yee-haw!

You know, maybe you two should
come on more of our adventures.

Oh, yes.

There was this one time
when we were being chased by Mr. McGregor

and Mr. Tod and Tommy Brock and Old Brown,
all at the same time.

-And--
-It's a nice offer, but from now on,

-I think we'll leave the adventuring…
-And the secret treehouse…

…to you and your friends, Peter.
Thanks, anyway.

[Peter chuckles]

[Lily] Yay! Group hug.

Yay!

[all laughing]

[all] Yay!

[laughter continues]
