over the great house of Collinwood

and when it does,

we will not know that Carolyn Stoddard

is no longer one of us,

for she has fallen under the spell of the supernatural.

[clock chiming]

and I saw no reason to refuse her.

- Oh.

- You look tired.

Did you get much sleep last night?

- A little, yes.

- But not enough.

- I had some things to take care of this morning,

for Barnabas.

- Such as?

- I've just finished talking with David.

He won't be giving Barnabas any more trouble.

- How can you be so sure of that?

- I have him convinced that if he doesn't keep quiet,

he will be sent away.

That's now locked securely in your subconscious mind,

and she was walking with someone I thought was you.

but I didn't go anywhere with her.

- Yes, with Vicki.

I saw you leave the house with her.

- I hope you're not going to get in the habit of watching me.

I assure you it's not necessary.

- I wasn't watching you.

I just came out on the landing

as you and she were leaving the house.

It was you and Vicki, wasn't it?

- Yes, it was. - Where did you two go?

- Oh, just - just outside, for some fresh air.
