Last time she looked for me, so now

it's my turn to look for her!

Well, I'm very glad you're taking turns!

You must be seeing things, sissy!

There aren't any elephants around here.

Elephants are great big with huge feet

and flapping ears and they make a big sound like

(trumpeting)

- Whoa!

(laughing)

- That's what an elephant sounds like!

And they use their long noses to make sound.

Only they're not called noses

on elephants, heh, they're called trunks!

- [Barney] Right!

(ding)

- Hi, everybody!

- Hi, Riff!

- Oh, that was a tee-riffic elephant sound you made!

- (laughs) You sure fooled me!

- [Riff] Oh!

- I'm playing hide and seek with an elephant right now!

- But I'm telling ya, there aren't

any elephants hiding here!

Barney, please tell 'em what a real elephant is like!

And, our eyes also let us see how things move.

- Like our friends.

Oh, they're moving a lot!

- Oh, but sometimes, our eyes need some help

seeing things, which is why use

For us.

- A magnifying glass makes small things look big!

- Very big-gity big!

(Barney chuckles)

- Oh, and binoculars and telescopes help you

see things that are far away!

- Oh, like my elephant!

(chimes)

- Let's look for her right now!

- Sissy, there's no elephant!

- Hey!

Wait a minute.

(instrumental music)

(Barney chuckles)

- Did you see something, Riff?

- No, I heard something.

And it sounded like this:

prrr, prrr, prrr, prrr.

(cooing)

Listen!

- I hear it, too!

[Riff] And now I see it!

It's a bird!

I see what color it is, what shape it is,

and it's moving!

- Let me see.

- Oh, boy! - I see the birdie!

We'll just have to keep hide-and-seek-ing

of fun things around the park!

Of course, looking around your neighborhood can be fun, too!

Um, why do you w*r hearing A*DS?

- Because without them, I'm not able to hear very well.

- Dana can hear a lot better with her hearing A*DS.

And I'm so glad, 'cause I like to play

the piano, and I like to sing.

- What's a composer?

- Well, you know how an author is someone who writes books?

- Mm-hm.

- Well, a composer is someone who writes music.

- Oh.

But instead of using ABCs, they use notes, like this.

Even though Beethoven couldn't hear,

he wrote beautiful music.

- Well, let's use our imaginations and ask Mr. Beethoven.

- Now, I believe you were wondering

how it is that I can write music,

even though I cannot hear.

Is this true?

- Mm-hm.

Can you hear it?

In your head.

- Yeah.

(Riff laughs)

- That is how it is with my music.

I hear it in my head.

And feel it in my heart.

I imagine what the music sounds like.

- Yeah! - Oh, yeah!

- But we don't have a piano.

- I think I can fix that.

- Whoa!

(chimes)
