I'm glad you're here but I was really

talking to my bean scene it's not

growing your bean seed our teacher gave

us some beans like these

we planted them in these cups oh I see

and everyone else's has started to grow

oh I see but mine's not growing yet oh I

you too Sean why aren't you outside

playing with us are you still worried

about your science project

yeah it's okay your bean will grow

you'll see a little Sprout pretty soon

and then it'll grow into a plant just

like these what sure takes a long time

for a seed to grow why is that Barney

will shine tiny seeds need lots of care

to help them grow into big healthy

plants what kind of care well just

listen and you'll find out

Oats, Peas, Beans and Barley Grow

first we'll plant the seeds the farmer

calls that sewing first the farmer sews

the seeds and he stands and takes his

easy stamps his foot and cracks his

hands and turns around to view the

wow Farmers have a pretty big job

growing all the corn and peas and

tomatoes and grapes and apples and lots

of other Foods we eat beans must be

really hard to grow well if plants get

plenty of light from the sun and fresh

air and water they'll grow to be big and

strong just like all of you Barney's

right Sean just watch how fast we can

grow

I wonder how they're going to grow

Barney but I don't know Sean but it's so

it sounds like we're in for some big fun

gosh man how did you get to be so tall

it's easy put these on my feet

wow Tasha you look older and you're

taller too how did you grow so fast oh I

got a Little Help From My Shoes she's

standing in a pair of grown-up shoes of

course that's very good

oh you were just playing we can't really

grow fast well maybe not that fast but

we are growing every day it's true here

older we can do more things because

we're growing and so are you each day we

smaller and we grow a little friendlier

too we try to be a little nicer as we

for the flowers and the trees and the

fishes in the Seas the raindrops drop

helping rivers flow and you're going

fire didn't grow as they fall from the

sky to the ground when the rain goes up

all the animals stop at the pool for a

nice cool drink they are just like you

they get thirsty too but you get your

water from the sink and the rain can

make a puddle so the birds can Splash

all around

taking a bath and chirping away

singing happily to the raindrops when

they make this sound

I guess rainy days can be fun Barney you

can even go outside if you have an

show you oh it sounds like a surprise

you said plants need lots of light and

well then this ought to help the bean

plant grow oh Sean there's plenty of

sunlight and fresh air coming through

whoa that might be too much water shine

okay I won't give it too much water but

I sure wish it would hurry up and grow

don't worry Sean why I'll bet your bean

plant will go way up into the sky

someday just like the story of Jack and

the Beanstalk

wow do you really think so I can just

imagine what that would be like

once upon a time in a tiny little home

Jack and his mother lived all alone then

one special day as strange as it seems

Jack traded their cow for some magic

beans

Jack planted the beans and hoped they

would grow but would they could they

Jack didn't know

the Earth rumbled and shook a big shake

the ground in Jack's Garden started to

break and up grew up being stuck

slide up to the sky right into the

clouds

Jack started climbing up into the air

what would be at the top when he got way

up there

I wonder what it'll be at the top when I

get way up there

oh the Giants Castle Jack wanted to hide

but bravely he chose to tiptoe inside

jack found a hen that laid golden eggs

and he broke the chain that held her

legs

then he found a harp that played without

ending

that's a guitar

dending

Jack took the treasure and was ready to

run when he saw the giant who said

the giant was terribly big and scary he

wore an old hat and his face was all

hairy

[Music]

he saw his small house he jumped to the

ground

his mother was waiting with a little ax

and she gave that Beanstalk some very

big wax

[Music]

and down it fell with a crash that was

loud

leaving the giant stuck up in the clouds

and after some kissing and hugging and

laughter they all lived happily ever

after

good job everybody thank you thank you

but I sure should be an eye product

would grow as fast as Jack's magic beans

oh plants take a long time to grow Sean

it must have taken a really long time

for this tree to get so big it's so

pretty and it gives us lots of shape and

a home for the birds and the Green Grass

aunt looks at a plant store in the

neighborhood she gave these flowers to

the school our teacher said it was okay

to plant them today Ben do they sell

more than flowers at the plant store

lots of neat things would you like to

see Upland store Jason sure then follow

it's going back into the school but we

don't have a plant store in school

more than just a plain old ordinary

television yeah sure it's our absolutely

positively super D Dipper Adventure

let's take a trip to a plant store and

see what it's all about

here we are at our neighborhood plant

store

at the plant store they sell lots of

beautiful flowers just like the flowers

my egg came to the school it's late

many you can also buy different kinds of

bushes see or little tiny trees

or trees that are very very big

here are seeds to grow flowers and yummy

vegetables

put the picture on the package shows you

what kind of seeds are inside hey those

are Daisy that's right Jason these seeds

will grow into pretty daisies in the

spring you can even buy tools to help

you work in your garden like rakes and

little shovels called trolls we have one

of those watering cans

they also

also all shapes and sizes and special

dirt and even plant food you can find

everything you need to grow plants in

your house or your garden or your yard

at your neighborhood plant store I can't

wait to go to the plant stores my mom

and dad Barney

please come outside

the flowers want us to go outside and

plant them

oh well it's not exactly the flowers

hey everybody it's time for Barney says

hello again to all my friends I'm glad

you came to play our fun and learning

never ends here's what we did today

don't you just love watching plants grow

you can plant your very own seeds in a

cup just like Sean did or put pretty

flowers in a garden outside your home

flowers come in many different colors

red white yellow even purple like me

your family can find everything for your

garden at the plant store

sell flowers

and seeds for many different kinds of

plants that grow fruits and veggies yum

yum you can even buy a flower pot to

decorate and give to a special friend

and remember I love you

Barney is one silly purple dinosaur

coming up later on we'll be playing with

Caillou but first let's go have fun with
