it was a sunny morning in terrytown

and at terrytown airport jj was eagerly

awaiting the arrival of old oscar

and a very special guest the special

guest was

lena old oscar's niece who was flying in

from far away

oh dear oscar i've been away for so long

do you think everybody would be happy to

see me

absolutely you'll be happy to see them

won't you

oh well they'll feel the same way

amigos are amigos no matter what

are we near terry town yet well not yet

but we'll be there soon and when we get

there there's gonna be a big surprise

oh what kind of surprise i don't know if

i told you

it wouldn't be a surprise anymore now

what's up brenda arlena and old oscar

here yet

not yet but i hope they'll be here soon

seems like when you're waiting for

something fun to happen

it takes forever

why don't you taxi over to the new

communications hangar and see if you can

spot them on the radar

i see them on the radar but oh

they're only just flying over tippy top

this will pass the time i'll give you a

new mystery to solve

i love mysteries

and the best part is after you've solved

the mystery

there's going to be a big surprise

what kind of a surprise i can't tell you

that jj it would ruin the surprise

the clues there's nothing to it it's

another jj's mystery

the mystery of plants first

you're going to gather some very special

things all around terrytown

and when you have them you have to guess

why i need them okay

and we can get tracy

and you can help too these are all the

things that i need

wow that's a lot which one of these

is a carrot

[Music]

which one of these is the carrot

can you help me

good for you that's what i need where do

carrots come from

well a carrot is a part of a plant

and like almost all plants it starts out

as a tiny

seed wow

then that seed grows slowly

into a plant with the carrot as its

root what else does the seed need to

help it grow

does it need sunshine or does it need

butterflies

what are you two doing brenda's giving

me a new mystery

and i'm trying to solve it do you

to our mystery of plants

all plants including carrots need

sunshine to help them grow

what else does the carrot plant need to

help it grow

does it need candy or does it need water

water aqua

right you need water for any plant to

grow

water helps the roots go deep and the

carrot grows

larger and larger see

ah that is a very nice san aoria

zona what

that's spanish for carrot so the first

thing we're looking for

is a carrot brenda blue calling snuffy

come in stuffy stuffy here

would you please ask farmer brown for a

carrot

no problem

this is fun but i can't wait any longer

could you please give us just a little

hint about the surprise

i wish i had a clue just a little hint

i really love surprises and i know you

love them too

once we can figure out what this

mystery's all about we'll both learn

something new

so i need a hint or two please tell me

now can you tell us what the surprise is

we still have to solve this mystery the

next thing we need

is a tomato which one of these things is

that's the tomato oh

many spanish words and english words

sound almost

alike this is what a tomato plant looks

jj would you please find us a nice

tomato and easy o'malley's garden

i'm sure he'll let you pick one sure

okay now we need some corn can you help

me figure out which one of these

is corn

very very good that's the corn all right

let's see who can find some corn

could you find some nice mice or

more corn why you betcha

brenda do you think we have everything

not yet we need just one more thing

a red pepper

yes un pimenton rojo

a red pepper which one of these things

is a red pepper

that's the red pepper you did it you

picked them all

this is jj calling old oscar will you

please find us a pepper plant and pick

us a nice red pepper

nope no no siri

i don't need to do i lena what's he

talking about

i brought um pimenton

you brought us a red pepper from your

home

okay everybody let's look at everything

one more time

as soon as everybody gets back we'll

have a carrot

a tomato

so the mystery is what do we need all of

these for

do you know hey elena

why did you bring a red pepper well

i wanted all of you to taste the

sweetness of the pimenton rojo

you wanted us to taste it oh

see it is so yummy

that's it everything we've collected is

something that's

good to eat maybe if you put them all

together

they make something really really

good to eat

[Music]

my favorite dinner

if you mix all of our special things

together and cook them up

they make so far

sopa hooray we

solve the mystery

you got it you did it you solved every

clue

jj's mystery good for you

and the really big is i'm cooking up

una sofa for tonight's dinner all in

honor of

lena's visit

and one by one tracy

snuffy and rev and evan all came home

with all the other ingredients for

lena's favorite dish

sopa and everyone was very happy to see

her back at terrytown airport

old oscar was right amigos are amigos

forever

everybody had a fine meal it was also a

tasty ending to a great

mystery a mystery that could not have

been solved
