01x04 - Phantom of the Cave/Dry River

Post by bunniefuu »

Here I come!

All right.

Your turn, Amber.

Watch this.

What in the... Huh

Oh, that's enough of those kids messing

my tops. Come on,

Shiloh. One jump. Oh,

gee, I don't know. It'll be

fun. Hold it right there.

Look what you're doing to my pond and the

poor lily pads.

Ah, Crusty, you were just plain.

But you're hurting my lily, son. Gee,

Crusty, there's a million lily pads here.

Is breaking a couple that bad?Bad?

Bad?Of course it is. In fact,

that reminds me of something that

happened a long, long, long time ago.

Oh, no. Here we go again. Another

story. I like stories.

Well, you'll like this one. Are you

sure?This one's a real mystery.

Why, before I was born,

there was a race of giant Thunder Makers

who ruled the land.

And first settled what we now call Green

Meadow.

But then something happened, and they up

and disappeared. Nobody's seen hide or

scale of them in in millions of years.

What happened to them?No one

knows. But legend says the answer may

be found in the Cave of Spirits. Well,

what do these old thunder makers have to

do with lily pads? Why don't you go and

see for yourselves?My Uncle Shortby

told me about that cave when I was

little. He said spirit phantoms live

there. Phantoms?

Find the Cave of Spirits, and you'll see.

Fine, what?Where?

Cave of what?

Maybe we should go back. No, Shyler.

I want to know what's in that cave of

spirits Krusty was talking about.

I think we just found the cave.

Let's-- Let's go home.

Luck all my tail, will ya?Don't be such a

scaredy-scat. Hey, wait for us! Go back!

Hey, guys, wait up!

I just heard someone telling us to go

back. Maybe it was him.

Yes! Oh, small skeleton.

This not scary.

What's that?I don't know, but the ground

is giving way. That is g*y!

Wow! Look at all these bones!

Dink, this is it! We found it! The Cave

of the Old Thunder Makers! Come on!

Let's look around for Crusty's spirit

phantoms.

Oh, monster! Guys,

I think it's just bones from one of those

Thunder Makers Crusty told us about. It

fell from somewhere up there.

Dave, look! Something else is in here.

Peanuts. Oh, no. Dink not

listen to Scat. Now we in big trouble.

Okay. Flap, go up

there and check it out. Me?No, no,

buddy. Flappers, don't chase spirits. We

don't believe in 'em, see?Come on,

Flap. Dink, the

bones are alive.

Guys, meet our phantom.

And they're scared of us! Boy, we're

really letting our imaginations run away

with us. Yeah, I know. Let's

keep going. We've got to find out what

happened to the old Thunder Maker.

Think, Skad Prank maybe we lost.

Nah, we're in a cave. You

can't get lost in a cave.

It's going to get us!

Shiloh have good idea.

This is getting too spooky-dink. Forget

Crusty and his lily pads and the old

thunder makers. Let's go! Yes, yes, let's

go now. Quick! Be my

tail. Who

is that?

Whatever it is, it's behind that boulder!

Steph gets squashed! Hang on,

Steph! It's time to

abandon... I

think we found our spirit.

For the time in

my day Hello, Lambs!

Uh-oh.

Be gone.

Be gone. Gone! Mock

it off. You're no spirit creature. You're

an old thunder maker. You're

right, son. Our friend Crusty told us

about you guys. But he said you were all

gone. Most of us are

gone, but not me. I take

care of this place. You do?

Why?This is my home.

Come. My name's Red. Been

living here for countless moons,

protecting what's left. What happened?

We didn't take care of our habitat. The

leaves and trees we ate, we foolishly

neglected. We ran out of food. Of course,

that was over 100 million years ago.

Green Meadow has recovered. But too

late for us. This is all

that's left. Now, I know why Crusty got

so mad about the lily pads. So you

caused all the moans and wails.

That's that Earth, too?Shadows?What

shadows?Uh-oh.

Scott had a bad feeling about this. Oh,

no, it's them again. Them?

Yes. Hey, wait!

Who are they?Scavengers. Probably

the shadows you saw. They come here often

looking for food. Who?Where?

There's none here.

To them, that's food. I gotta get

'em out of here, but I'm afraid I'm

getting too old to fight 'em. Don't

worry, we'll help ya.

Thank you for setting up that skeleton.

It'll keep those scavengers away. It

should do the job. And you should go

home. Sunrise is almost

here, and I need my

rest. See you later,

Red.

Gosh, he's gone. Scat?

Yeah. I

think we did see a spirit.

A new morning, a new day.

Looking forward to this year back.

Crusty! He sounds like he's in trouble!

Where'd all the water

go?Over here!

Let me handle this.

I'll just take the turtle by the tail.

Are you all right,

Rusty?Did you see that?Did you see that?

The river's drying up. Nothing left but

mud. Oh, this is terrible, awful,

really bad. Wait a minute. River's

right. So what?Why, without water,

we'll all get-- get.. Thasty?

Worse than that. We'll all... Hey! Alan!

Jump away!

Looks like some folks have already

started to panic. Maybe we should just

put the water back into the river.

The kid's thinking. Chandler's right.

Rivers flow south. Maybe if you go

north, you might find the source of the

problem. Hey, I'm ready to

lead the way.

Keep your wings on, Flap. I'll lead the

way.

Gosh, we've been walking for hours.

I wonder where the river went.

Me too. Oh, Scat's feet

hurt.

Look, I think we're here. Those rocks

must have fallen into the river and

blocked the water. Looks like we found

our problem. Flop, check it out.

You're right, Dink. There's plenty of

water on this side. You guys

feel like pushing? What do you mean, Dink?

Push!

Hey, you up there! What are you

trying to do, hmmWhat does it look like?

Move the rocks! You know, you remind me

of an ant I once knew who decided to move

the melon berries. How did he do it?

Well, the little fella put his shoulder

to the melon berry, and he pushed, and he

pushed. What happened to

the little fella?

Well, the melon berry rolled

over on him and squooshed his ladder

than a lamuma leaf.

Ohh Well, we gotta

keep trying. Well, you can try all you

want, but the only thing that's going to

move that mess is the

monster that caused it in the first

place. Monster?The

Earthshaker!

He came down for a drink, see?

The ground rumbled, and the

rocks fell in the river. Gosh,

he must be real big.

He's bigger than... biggest. If

he's so big, couldn't he just fix the

mess he made?Well, frankly, we didn't

ask. He had one mean

temple. Well, I guess we looked for

this... This earth shaker. Are

you sure you want to do that, hmmWell,

there's nobody else big enough to move

the rocks. Want to come with us?No,

No I do not want to end up like that

squooshed and...

This place gives me the Willy

Wallys. Maybe we're close to the

Earthshaker. You can say that again.

How come?

Let's just say you're right on his heels.

Golly, this ground is hot.

We gotta find some shader. We're gonna

melt. I found some. Come on,

everybody.

Ohh That's much better.

Not better. Worse.

Ow! I hope he doesn't do that again.

I think I got a bad feeling about this.

Yeah, we're trapped.

Gee, it's kind of fun to climb, isn't it?

Flapper, fly out of here and see if

there's anything up there that can help

us. Just count on me.

How's it look from up there? Not

so good.

I know. Yikes!

Look out!

Oh, no! My friends! My buddies!

The tree squash don't eat

Amber! We're okay!

That's terrific! Well, we got a

straight road out of here, thanks to me.

Well, then what are we waiting for?

Uh-oh. I'll take

care of them.

Hey, you! Follow me!

That ought to hold you till we get out of

here. Nice flying

flap!Yeah, even I'm

impressed.

Oh, gosh, there he is.

Uh, hello?HelloHello

We want to talk to you. What do

you want?Could you move

some rocks that are blocking our river,

please?We have to put the

water back. Why should

I care about the problems of little ones?

I have better things to do than push

paddles around.

Hey, he's slipping. Maybe his foot's

hurt. We could really use your

help. I

said leave me alone.

Heading straight for speed.

for sure now! Look! He's got his thorn

stuck in his foot. So that's why he's

limpy. Uh, poor guy.

Poor guy?Maybe that's why he's so

mean. It must hurt a

lot. We ought to pull it out for him. If

we're gonna do it, we better do it before

he moves on. Okay, everybody grab

home!

All together!

We did it!

Any other great ideas, Schyler?

Well, how'd it go with the big fella?

HmmHe turned out to be a big

disappointment. And we turned out to be

big failure.

We let everybody down. We'll

never be able to move these rocks. Oh,

no! It's the Earthshaker! No,

he's gonna push us out.

Hey, he came back to help us. Maybe

his foot feels better.

Gee, I think he's being nice 'cause we

were nice to him.
