My reputation is large like me.
I know deep down all they want to do--
Let me tell you this, for a cucumber, you are not that big.
[laughter]
You might as well be corn if you're going to be our size.
This is true.
I am a small cucumber caught somewhere in the middle,
and I wish every night that I am a little corn like you.
[theme music]
ANNOUNCER [VOICEOVER]: Brittany turns to Karen and George
for advice on Josh.
Like one of the big reasons why I just
like, all of a sudden it like, oh, my god, I have to get
out of the room is because--
OK, I'm just going to say it.
I'm going to have to say this to Josh,
too, because he needs to know.
You wanted him to kiss you.
No, no, no, no, not that.
But I was, like, a little turned on, so I just like left.
Nothing happened. Nothing went on.
It was nothing.
It was totally me, my perception.
I'm like, I mean, I put myself in a bad spot,
so I just like got up and came outside and picked up bird poop
and sat in the inner tube.
If Josh came up to you and said,
I'm really attracted to you, how could you--
what would you say?
Probably like cover my face and go, oh, my god.
That would be my response.
And then would you, like, totally
try to stay away from him?
No, I don't think so.
I would just probably pretend he didn't say that to me.
Yeah, right.
How can you do that?
Carry on with life.
Oh, sure.
Try, that's why I said try in there.
The key is to not find yourself alone with Josh
and just enjoy his company as a group
and just keep everything in a group.
You're right.
And not stay up late, and I mean, you can stay up late
but not stay up real late, where conversations
go to relationships.
I'm bummed, because now I can't cuddle with him anymore.
Like I don't--
I don't think I should cuddle with him anymore.
I would probably hold off a little bit, only
because it just, it forces it.
I think I'll disassemble the love bed.
Oh, thanks.
You don't want to cuddle with me either.
I'll cuddle with you.
Yeah, cuddle with me.
OK.
So what do you guys think?
Do you think I just shouldn't say-- like,
on the outside world, I would totally say something to Josh,
but you think I shouldn't say anything to Josh.
I think it--
I think it's-- I think the quarters are so close that
I think if you say anything.
You've got a long haul, maybe, here, Brit.
I think if you say anything, I think you're pushing it,
I really do.
Oh, two weeks into it, I'm already screwed up.
Maybe I should just vote him out now so I
don't have to worry about it.
You little-- that is so wrong.
That is so not right.
Kidding.
[laughter]
ANNOUNCER [VOICEOVER]: Eddie kids
Josh about his girl troubles.
Yeah, now last night was a strange turn of events.
Well, put in between two girls usually
it does make it strange.
Yeah, there you go.
And then having one of them knowing
and they say, no, I don't want to be at the end.
I want to be next to Josh by myself.
Josh, you get at the end.
That happens, too.
You heard about that one?
Yeah.
Oh, OK.
Oh, man, it's getting worse out there is what I thought.
Yeah, we were playing musical chairs with our positions.
I was just like--
Yeah, I heard them climbing over each other,
laughing and giggling the whole way.
Actually, it was more like I was laying in one spot.
These girls are just climbing all over me
like I was a fleshy jungle gym.
And I was like, I felt so bad for, like, Karen and Cassandra,
because they were asleep already.
And I was like, oh, no.
Let's just go to sleep.
Yeah, right.
Please climb over me again.
Get uncomfortable, please.
You have to deal with awkward situations.
[laughter] Lucky you.
[music playing]
ANNOUNCER [VOICEOVER]: Josh and Brittany discuss
last night's bed swapping.
Did you get hot last night?
I got hot.
Did you?
Yeah.
I was out of it last night.
Basically, I got up, and I said, I'm gonna to go back to my bed.
I went in there and I looked, and I had no mattress.
I said, where the hell is my mattress at?
Oh, yeah, I left it out on the floor, right?
Oh, I thought you put it in for Jordan.
You didn't?
Huh?
Didn't you put your mattress back in your bed for Jordan?
I guess not.
It's weird, because I walk out there,
Curtis and I are both in there and Eddie's like,
so what did you do last night?
I'm, like, I don't know.
Hung out.
He's like, what did you do?
And Curtis is, like, shaking his head.
I'm like, what do you mean what did I do?
He's like, what do you do?
I'm like, hung out.
He goes, where did you sleep?
I'm like, the big bed.
And he's like, well, what did you do last night?
It was weird.
I was laughing because this morning, they told me--
I don't know who it was.
Somebody told me.
I can't remember if it was him.
I don't think it was him, it was George.
About either Cassandra or Karen saying that everyone
was hopping all over the bed.
[laughs]
Were you just working out?
It's so hot.
Were you on the bike?
Yeah.
That pisses me off that you don't have any fat.
I've got fat.
You do not.
I've got plenty of fat.
Oh, I love sweating though.
Just breaking a sweat made me feel better.
I woke up in this funk.
I was just like, rawr.
I could tell.
I just left you alone.
Rawr.
I can't believe we're not sleeping.
I'm just thinking of your toenails.
They're, like, peach.
How fem am I?
Oh, my god.
What a girly, girly man.
Oh, I like girly men.
I'm such a girly man.
Yeah, I'll go eat.
I think I might try to go outside.
I'm gonna fall asleep.
Come and get it, otherwise, you're gonna fall asleep.
I think it's a--
I think it's a full on love triangle right now.
It's totally funny.
It's totally funny.
And I've got this, like, I've got
this little devil inside me that just
wants to antagonize Brittany.
And I don't--
I don't know where it comes from,
but I've always been like this.
I think as long as I'm here, Brittany
and Josh aren't going to be hooking up, [laughs]
if I can help it.
ANNOUNCER [VOICEOVER]: The discussion
about musical beds continues.
It's cool, though.
You can sleep in my bed whenever you want.
All right!
My bed is always open to you.
I love it.
Whether it's vacant or not?
Whether it's vacant or not.
So was there any high jinks that went on last night
that I missed?
I think just the whole Josh/Brittany thing is funny.
Ah.
Have you noticed anything about that?
Mm, I don't know.
What are your observations?
I actually don't think there's anything,
except for just flirting.
I think there's--
I think there's something one-way.
Her end?
Yeah.
I don't know about that.
Because I've noticed some following around going on.
Yeah.
So dumb.
It's totally-- it's totally--
Like I don't mind cuddling.
I don't mind spooning and just hanging out,
but when I can't even sleep and it's not comfortable,
there's no more point to it anymore.
That was so funny last night.
You're like, how about we all just sleep in our own beds.
Oh, I know.
[laughs]
[music playing]
ANNOUNCER [VOICEOVER]: Eddie reveals
his nomination strategy.
I'm so curious.
About what?
How you already have, like, your order set.
Maybe you'll find out.
Will you share it with me?
You want to know it?
- Yeah. - Sure.
Oh, my god.
You're going to tell me?
Sure.
As of today, this is my order of marking--
This is so bad of us.
No, it's not.
The next nomination will be Jordan and Jamie.
Jordan will get banged out.
Following week, Jamie and Josh.
I don't know which one's going to go out of that one.
Don't know.
After that, it will be whichever remaining two, Curtis.
Then whichever remaining two after that will be Cassandra.
Then after Cassandra, comes down to you, Karen, George,
myself, that's the final four.
Now, I was going to talk to you.
If you're still here, and I'm still here,
I was going to vote you, and then you were going to vote me.
And then you'd go to one, and I'd go to the other.
So some-- so it would be a draw like between Karen and George,
if they're still here.
Oh, that would be a good idea.
Whoops.
So--
God, I have no idea how to vote.
My criteria, being that once we get rid
of Jordan and tension's out of the house,
it will go by who will do better off once they get out of here?
You know, like I can see Jamie maybe getting a soap opera
or something like that starting now
and then maybe a movie in a couple of years or something.
You know what I'm saying? - Yeah.
She'll do something.
Like, George could totally get, like, a chicken commercial.
You know what I mean?
He could, but you know what?
He's got no college education, nor does Karen.
All of us are in college or just out of college with jobs,
you know what I'm saying.
So that's what I'm going by.
George is a [muted] -year-old roofer.
He never went to college.
He just finished high school.
He's been breaking his a*s since he was [muted] , supporting
his wife and his kids.
He's a hard worker.
I know exactly what he's like.
Reminds me a lot of my father.
Wakes up, goes to [muted] work, comes home,
is faithful to his wife, takes good care of his kids,
and I respect that.
Reminds me of my father.
I respect that a great deal, and that's why I can respect
George, and I wish him the best of luck,
and I hope he walks out of here with the dough.
But we'll see what happens.
It's not even in our hands, you know that.
It's totally not.
All we can do is put the [muted] bait out there,
and then the sharks decide which one they want.
I still want to win though.
I do, too.
I ain't gonna lie.
ANNOUNCER [VOICEOVER]: The houseguests receive
their next week-long challenge.
I'm so ready.
Proceed to win.
Oh, my gosh, a new table.
- Whoa! - OK.
Is this--
With new chairs.
Oh, my--
Domino Effect.
Oh, my gosh, ,.
Oh, my gosh.
We're building a domino thing.
We can't knock 'em over.
There's , dominoes, which must be arranged according
to the diagrams provided.
On Friday at high noon, "Big Brother"
will give you the signal to set off the domino effect.
You must work on this challenge between the hours
of : AM and : midnight.
Oh, we can't work overnight.
All of the dominoes must fall with just one push.
You have five minutes to decide your wager.
%.
Oh, gosh.
No way.
But it's-- it's according to the diagram provided.
A diagram of the "Big Brother."
Let's do %.
I agree with that.
I agree with %, yeah.
,, that's all.
Oh.
We could set them all up in one day.
Try it out, if it works, that's great, and if it doesn't--
Yeah, let's just set up , in one day.
Let's do it within five minutes.
And let's put the beer away.
[laughter]
[music playing]
ANNOUNCER [VOICEOVER]: The houseguests
were asked to put the issue of flag burning on trial.
Cassandra was cast as defense attorney
with Jordan as the defendant.
Curtis was asked to prosecute with Brittany
as the key witness.
Karen was told to preside.
- What was the end result? - Court is now in session.
Guilty.
Good evening, Your Honor, ladies,
and gentlemen of the jury.
We're here today for a case involving flag burning.
The main witness for the prosecution, Miss Eleanor
Jones, who you will hear is the -year-old widow of a World
w*r II veteran, and you will hear from her personally how
she felt as the defendant chose to burn the flag, as
well as the reactions that she witnessed
in the crowd that day.
Ms. Cassandra.
Thank you, your honor.
It's Shambhala Cochran.
Shambhala?
Shambhala Cochran.
Your Honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury,
I want to let you know it is true that she burned the flag
in Central Park, but she is protecting freedom of speech
of all Americans by doing so.
And I want to ensure you that this woman is not a criminal.
She should not be here, and you will
hear testimony to that fact.
Mrs. Jones, could you state your full name for the jury?
Eleanor Jones.
And have you been married before?
Yes.
Can you tell me about your husband?
Can I light this candle first?
Whenever I speak of the dead I want--
I'm sorry.
Whenever I speak of the dead, I must light my patriotic candle.
Yes, I was married.
My husband, Bud Jones, he was a World w*r--
he's a World w*r II vet.
Great man, great man.
Died for our country, for all of you.
He died for all of you.
How did it make you feel to see the flag burning?
She was burning my baby son.
She was burning my husband.
Everything I believe in was being burned.
I tell you, she's evil, just burning and smiling.
It was awful.
Thank you.
Ms. Jordan, please take the stand.
Can I borrow your Bible?
This means nothing to me because I am a Buddhist,
but I'd just like to say that I am
still going to tell the truth.
Can you explain to the court why
you felt it necessary to burn the flag at Central Park?
I wanted to exercise my freedom of speech
and I wanted to write about how people reacted to it
and the contradictions that I saw in how people reacted
and how people also upheld the American Constitution.
Would you agree with the characterization
of the prosecution that you burned the flag in
a crowded area of Central Park?
No, I would disagree with that.
I was calmly burning the flag.
I was not waving it up in the air.
Lies.
They're all lies.
And it was a very controlled burn.
I think I'll leave it there, Your Honor.
Now, is it closing arguments?
Yes.
Freedom of speech is not unlimited.
Even though we say the First Amendment protects all
and protects the right to be expressive,
that is absolutely true, however,
there are certain limits to it.
When it is more likely than not to incite violence,
we need to place limitations on that freedom.
Thank you.
OK, Miss Cochrane.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury,
we know that journalists in our country are instigators.
Their role is to help us open debates
and continue debates about tough issues, issues
that we disagree on.
Ms. Jordan, by her action, as much as you may disagree
with it, has done that.
She has managed to open an important debate
in our country.
She has managed to get us to focus a spotlight on it
once again and to begin to talk about whether or not
we should be burning flags.
In this particular case, she was not harming anyone.
It is just by chance that this group
of silver-haired individuals showed up on the scene.
It is just by chance that one or two of them happened to faint.
It is just by chance that they happened to be veterans.
This is not a crime.
This was simply a journalist carrying
out her duty to protect your and my freedom of speech.
Thank you, Your Honor.
OK, jury, it's up to you.
ANNOUNCER [VOICEOVER]: The jury delivers its verdict.
We find Jordan guilty of flag burning in the first degree.
Woo!
[laughter]
It was highly--
Highly technical.
--highly technical how we come to conclusions.
- Highly technical decision. - OK.
I'd just like to thank the jury.
Freedom of speech is going to be something
that's going to be debated and taken to court for many years
to come.
What was the technicality?
Or how did you guys decide?
We flipped a bottle cap.
We flipped a coin.
[laughter]
Were you guys deadlocked?
Yeah, we were deadlocked.
We flipped a coin.
[music playing]
ANNOUNCER [VOICEOVER]: After the trial,
Karen and George forecast the nominations.
Karen, who are you leaning toward?
Jamie.
It was Jamie or Curtis.
The only reason why, I think, it's easier for me
with Jamie and Curtis is because I do still
feel that they both supported Mega and Jordan
during all the craziness.
And I'm sorry, I really believe that if somebody
is totally out of line, people should band together
and say, no.
You don't-- you're not like that.
You don't bully people around.
And they never once stood up to them and said, you are wrong,
you know?
And Brittany didn't either, though.
Brittany didn't stand up for me, and I really believe
that's what friends are for.
I guess the only thing with Curtis is, I enjoy--
I enjoy being in his company.
But I still don't--
as far as his feelings about things,
I don't think he's deep.
Eddie better be cool.
He better.
I have a feeling Eddie's going to get a lot of votes.
And I think Jordan will probably still get all of them
or most of them.
I would be surprised if Eddie's not one of them,
because he's harsh.
Yeah, he is.
You have a point.
I do know that Cassandra, Curtis, and Jamie will be
my three in the next few weeks.
I just don't know--
I didn't know which one to pick first.
Cassandra will probably be my third one, my last one,
because I really like her.
She really don't say much.
No, she doesn't.
She doesn't She's usually pretty quiet.
She's usually the one that's probably--
I don't know.
And for that reason, that kind of bothers me,
you know, because I want somebody that has
a little more spunk, you know?
Now, little Brittany, she better get
her butt in gear, because she's not doing a whole lot.
No.
You have a point there, too.
I know.
I love Brittany but she really--
she stays up late at night.
She doesn't do anything around here.
See them stories she's got?
Will had a point.
They're going to get old after a while.
Oh, I know.
Do you know what I am trying to tell you?
Um-hm.
They're OK right now, but sooner or later--
She'll run out She'll run out.
Sooner or later, they're gonna start to get old.
I know.
You know what?
I really think, down at the very end,
I wouldn't mind being with Josh.
Mm-hm.
I like Josh.
[music playing]
Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch.
Comin' to get you.
Foxy, bah, wa-wa-wa.
[SINGING] Live because we're living today.
Fell the thrill of live and don't be afraid.
