Post by bunniefuu »

NARRATOR: It is a house like no other.

A house where cameras follow your every move and microphones

pick up your every whisper.

This is the Big Brother house.

Soon, daring strangers will enter

these rooms, ready to call them home for the next three months.

They have agreed to live in absolute confinement

while competing for necessities like food, luxuries, and power.

Once a week, the house guests will

vote to evict one of their own.

In the end, only one will remain and claim

a half million dollar prize.

This is "Big Brother ."

[theme music]

A new season, a new house, new house guests.

Welcome to "Big Brother ."

Good evening.

I'm Julie Chen.

Tonight, we'll meet the men and women who are giving up

their personal lives, the company of their loved ones,

and their privacy for a chance to win a half million dollars.

From Las Vegas to Superior, Wisconsin,

from New York City to Mobile, Alabama,

these strangers have very little in common

except the courage to let all of America

watch their every move for the next three months

as they compete to be the last person standing.

Just days ago, we surprised each of them with the key

to their new adventure.

[laughs]

I am a house guest!

Woo! - Hi.

Can I have [inaudible]?

What?

[laughs]

[laughs]

Woo!

Who's going to "Big Brother ?"

[laughs]

Oh, it's a mirror!

Oh, wow!

I'm Amy, and if I piss you off, frankly, I don't give a damn.

I'm Jason, and I'm playing for a higher power.

I'm Danielle, classy, sassy diva.

Just ask my family.

Are you dead serious?

[laughs]

No more bar tending [muted] for me.

I'll see you guys later.

So I'm leaving in two hours.

Well, let's go, man.

We don't have time.

We got things to do.

I didn't know they literally, like, come get you

and they're like, you got to go.

I'm Marcellas, and I'm going to do it with style.

I'm Tonya, direct from Sin City.

I'm Gerry, and I'll teach those kids a thing or two.

I don't think I'm meeting my friends

for dinner tonight, Gramps.

I'm Roddy, and I'm going to play this game to a T. Well,

I'm sure there's going to be some overzealous person.

The top thing in the bag is my Bible.

Religious, born again, or spiritual guru.

Those type of people I think are fools.

Love that country living.

My name is Lori.

I'm a small town girl, ready for the big time.

Bring it on.

Is this real gold?

[inaudible]

I'm Josh, and I'm the joker.

So Daddy, I'm going!

Yeah.

So I'm going to send you all the bills.

I'm Chiara.

I'm the girl next door who's going to kick your a*s.

Oh, yeah.

I'm Eric, and when the lights go down, I'm full of surprises.

I'm Lisa, and I'm going to go to the men,

and I'm going to those women.

I'm ready to rock, bro.

I do have a pretty good way with women.

[laughs]

Look at that onion.

We're going to have this perfect Scarlett O'Hara

living in a house with them.

If it helps me win the show, I will hook up with girls.

I've got to get ready.

Two hours to pack?

Oh, my god.

It's got my name on it and everything.

Do you know how hard it is to pack for three months?

I've got shoes.

I've got socks.

The only fear that I have is how I'm

going to sleep without my cat.

Three months in one suitcase.

I'm thinking, three months with no sex?

That can be kind of tough, you know.

[SINGING] Got Big Brother blues.

Stuck in a house for three months with all of you.

I love you, Daddy.

Bye, Ger.

[SINGING] I hope, by golly, my baby will still be true.

Bye.

I got to go.

I'll see y'all in three months.

Bye, everyone!

See you!

Big Brother, here I come.

The house guests will enter the Big Brother

house in groups of four.

Once inside, each group will have

to decide which of the three bedrooms to call their own,

and they'll quickly find arrangements are not equal.

One of the bedrooms offers the most privacy and the most

comfortable beds, but there are only three

of them for four people.

The next room may offer four twin beds,

but provides almost no privacy.

A glass wall separates it from the next bedroom,

which offers only three simple army

cots and a hard bamboo bench.

The most desired bedroom is under lock and key.

It is the Head of Household room, the power

base of the Big Brother house.

More on that later.

But first, it's time for us to meet the new house guests

and for them to meet each other for the first time.

They are not allowed to speak to each other

until they're inside the house.

Welcome, house guests.

I'm Julie.

Hi, Julie.

Ooh.

A lively bunch this year.

Do me a favor.

Take a good look at the men and women around you,

because this--

this is your new family.

You'll get to know them well over the next weeks,

I guarantee you.

Among these people, you may find your best friend.

You may find your worst enemy.

But remember, ultimately each of you is on your own.

This is, after all, a competition-- a fierce,

summer-long power struggle.

Once you walk through those double doors,

you won't come out until you've either been evicted

or claimed the grand prize.

While in the house, there will be no phones,

no television, no internet, virtually no contact

with the outside world.

You'll enter the house in three groups of four

in an order chosen at random before the show.

Once inside, each group will have only one minute

to decide which of the very, very different bedrooms

to call their own.

Now, choose carefully, because this

will be your room until at least the first eviction.

The first four to enter the Big Brother house

are Eric, Lisa, Gerald, and Amy.

Go on in.

OK.

We want a good room.

And I don't know where the bedrooms are located.

We need a plug.

Let's go-- all right.

We've got one minute, so--

- Yeah. - This is pretty cool.

Yeah, that is.

I like the picture.

You check those doors.

Oh, here's a bedroom.

Well, that's pretty cool, too.

We had cots or mattresses.

There was no question for me.

I'm used to sleeping on satin sheets.

I mean, I-- you know, I don't do the cot thing.

- You guys want-- - We need a bed.

I don't want a cot. - Bright color?

- [inaudible] - Yeah.

Yeah. Let's see this.

Oh, hell yeah!

We got a lizard.

I love reptiles.

I don't have anything made of reptiles.

I will like this little room.

It's so cute.

Oh, this is me.

The next group to go in, Roddy,

Chiara, Marcellas, and Lori.

Go on in.

I want a great room.

All right.

[inaudible]

Bathroom.

It didn't click into us that there would be a bedroom

so close to the bathroom.

Ah!

What's that?

It's the only room we could find.

We've got to split up.

No, this is a bedroom right here.

We were actually going to stay on the cots.

I mean, god, that would suck.

No. Really?

Yeah. That's one.

What's this?

We kept running back and forth, back and forth,

and it was, like, panicky.

[inaudible]

Let's open this door, though.

I thought that door was locked.

Open. Open.

There's got to be another bedroom.

We are such a losers.

We're such dorks.

I didn't even [inaudible].

Is this better than the other one?

What?

We couldn't find the other one.

NARRATOR: seconds left, guys.

The other one is near the bathroom.

Oh!

We might-- well, if we end up with this one.

There you go, guys.

Let's go.

Come on, girls.

Whoever got into that door really saved us.

Oh, yeah!

I never [inaudible].

God!

Oh.

JULIE: And finally, Tonya, Josh, Jason, Danielle, go on in.

Guess we're last, guys.

We're the big winners.

You get the kitchen.

I get the bathroom.

[laughs]

[inaudible]. Dig in.

Oh.

Think [inaudible] had an orgy in there already?

Wow.

Smells clean.

Oh, my gosh.

When I was in the last group to be

picked to go in the house, I knew

I was screwed to begin with.

[inaudible] the damn bedroom, is it?

Oh, no!

Oh, no!

Oh, no!

When the last group came in, we did feel kind of bad.

But, um, you know, as they sat down, they looked over.

They smiled.

We smiled back.

Oh, it's just like camp.

And it wasn't really, we won, you lost.

Ha ha, you have to sleep in cots,

and we get to sleep in beds with blankets.

Man, I guess I'm here.

Oh, no.

I'm actually not even on a cot.

It's like a board.

Oh!

We're going to let the house gusts explore their new home

and get to know each other a little bit more.

Wow.

This is Southern California.

This is a desert.

Liquor.

[inaudible] any of this.

This is Stoli.

We're doing a toast.

Are we doing a toast?

- Yes. - We're doing a toast.

So we've been there now-- [interposing voices]

Right.

Woo!

Ladies and gentlemen, you're all winners.

Yeah!

To us!

To us!

- Cheers! - Cheers!

Woo!

Cheers!

Well, the reason we got everybody together

in the living room and one took over the leadership role

is because I am the leader.

Let's start the [inaudible]. [interposing voices]

All right. All right.

I'm a New Yorker, and they picked

me because I'm really shy.

And they're hoping this will help me bust out of my shell.

I'm an LTS.

I'm a long-term substitute teacher.

- Nice. - Wow.

Josh I don't like.

Keeping it right there.

Keeping it real for 'em.

He's got this big personality, and he tempers

it with humor, which is nice.

But he will crack under the pressure.

I could tell by the way Marcellas

was looking at me that he's already

getting a little jealous.

Who's going to follow you?

Marcellas is.

Oh, no.

He pretty much fell into a trap.

By putting it on him, all of a sudden,

he's playing second fiddle to me.

Marcellas has the floor.

This is his moment.

I am from Chicago.

What do I do?

I'm in advertising.

That's it.

Nothing as, um, outgoing or loud as this one,

I'm trying to [inaudible].

That's all. - What do you want to know?

Well, I am Lisa.

And I am from New York as well, and then I

moved here to California, like, two years ago.

And I am a crazy photographer during the day,

and I am a crazy bartender at night.

Uh oh.

And [laughs]

She seems innocent, but come on, now.

We're all competitors here.

I'm Danielle.

I'm from Fairfield, California.

Simple.

I'm Jason.

I'm from the deep South.

Mobile, Alabama.

Mobile, Alabama.

[applause]

Woo.

Yeah!

[SINGING] Sweet home Alabama.

Grab your sister, put her down.

From the South.

And I really don't know what I want

to do with the rest of my life.

I think Jason's probably the best looking of the guys.

No.

I might just be saying that because he's from the South.

I don't know.

That might be a psychological thing.

I'm Roddy, and I'm from the deep North.

All right.

Is there a deep North?

I'm a writer.

That sounds Like me.

OK.

Well, I'm Tonya.

Originally from Illinois.

Springfield.

But now I live in Las Vegas, and I have five kids.

Wow.

That lady had five kids.

One, two, three, four, five kids.

[inaudible] for the stork theory of reproduction,

know what I mean?

The breasts are a little big, and the breasts

are probably very expensive.

I think that's very sad.

Well, I'm Amy.

I'm from Memphis, if you can't tell by my accent.

I'm another Southerner.

I grew up in Arkansas and--

in the Memphis area, though.

Little Miss Amy.

I went to school in Mississippi at Ole Miss.

Hotty toddy.

She gets on my last nerve.

So, now I'm here.

I'm Gerry.

I am a fifth generation Californian.

I am a full time middle school teacher.

All right.

I think Gerry trusts me when I made up that bull

[muted] about being a teacher.

For years I taught special ed, so Josh,

I might be able to help you.

[laughter]

He bought that like [neigh].

Come August, it'll be my th wedding anniversary.

[cheering]

[applause]

The name's Eric.

I grew up in Milford, Connecticut.

It's a little shoreline town.

I went to the University of Connecticut.

Go Huskies.

Big basketball fan.

I saw that there was obviously extremely

attractive men in the house.

Of course, Eric is good looking.

I was pursuing a career as a firefighter,

and I got hired about nine months ago now.

So that's pretty much it.

Happy to be here.

Hope to get to know everybody, and rock on.

Rock on.

- Rock on. - Yeah.

Rock on.

I am Lori.

I live in Foxborough, Wisconsin.

I work customer service at a bank.

I've worked there for two years.

I'm not really big on the whole northern accent thing,

and I've always been kind of anti

that North, Midwest, or Upper West, whatever, accent things.

I've been divorced for two years.

I have a son, he's my baby, and two girls.

They're my life.

We're your life now.

[laughter]

Nice segue.

Yo.

All right.

I'm Chiara.

I live in [inaudible] New York.

[inaudible]

Thank you.

Does it mean something.

It's Italian, and it means clear, like, bright light.

Like, clear light.

So it's pretty.

Thank you.

I like Chiara a lot.

She's really great.

She seems like a really nice girl, really genuine.

OK.

I live in New York.

I've lived there for three years.

I went to school in Boston.

I grew up in Connecticut.

I do not see any very strong competition,

which makes you very happy.

We have a much more attractive group this year, I think.

Yeah!

[applause]

This is my house.

This is my game.

These people are involved in it, but this is my puppy.

I'm running with this, and I'm going to do it my way.

Nothing comes easy in the Big Brother house, not even food.

Up next, the house guests' first competition

will have them scrambling for this week's groceries.

That's not all they'll be scrambling for.

Stay tuned for the unexpected, when

they learn of a surprise twist.

It may just have them going out on a limb to form

some immediate alliances.

Welcome back to "Big Brother ."

The house guests have had some time

to get to know each other, and now we're about to challenge

their fortitude as a team.

Their first battle will be for food.

Hi, everybody.

Hi!

JULIE: How's it going? - Well.

Very good.

JULIE: Excellent.

Now, for the next three months, I'll be talking

to you through this screen.

Now, I've got some surprises for you tonight.

You've probably noticed by now that your kitchen cabinets are

stocked with plenty of peanut butter and jelly

and nothing else.

Right?

All right.

However, we're going to give you the chance

to win some real food for the week,

which means it is time for your first food competition.

Yeah!

Ooh.

Bring it on.

JULIE: But keep in mind, if you lose this competition,

that means PB&J all week long.

Now, the first part of this competition is easy.

I need everyone to step outside to the basketball court.

All right.

[interposing voices]

Woo hoo.

To the hoop, y'all.

All right.

Oh, wow.

Bad a*s.

Oh, my god.

Yes!

Food.

Woo!

Woo hoo!

I am digging this.

Birds nests, guys.

Birds.

JULIE: OK, house guests.

As you can see, there are three trees,

each containing two nests.

In front of you, you can see tables

loaded with all types of food.

There are also shopping bags.

Now, here is what you're going to do.

You'll each fill one of the bags with as many items as possible.

But you'll want to choose carefully,

because anything you leave behind,

you will not get to eat.

Take the meat first.

JULIE: Once you're packed, house guests,

you'll take your shopping bag and climb

into the nests in the trees.

Now, in order to win the food, each nest

must contain a male and female house

guest and two shopping bags.

[laughter]

What you got going here?

[interposing voices] - OK.

- OK. - All right.

Guys--

JULIE: You will have seconds to pack your food

and get into the trees.

So we need--

You guys, get meat, eggs.

Get them staples.

JULIE: OK, everybody ready?

On your mark, get set, go.

[interposing voices]

Here.

- --get this food for. - Here.

- I don't know what I'm getting. - Beans.

Tortillas.

Salmon. Chicken.

- Got some chicken. - Get the meat.

Get the meat. Get the meat.

Because I'm a mother, my first thing was grab all the meat.

Ooh, tacos!

One minute.

We're eating nothing but oatmeal.

Will somebody please get a six pack of beer?

I got it!

We got all the fruits and vegetables we could fit.

Carrots! Y'all got carrots?

I got carrots.

[interposing voices]

We must have bread.

[interposing voices]

All right.

Anybody get some mayonnaise?

- We can get it all. - Eggplant.

Get that vanilla.

Oh, we need salt!

Over here!

Tree [inaudible]?

JULIE: seconds left on the clock, guys.

seconds left.

Y'all, where-- where?

[interposing voices]

- OK. - Hurry up.

OK.

Give me your bag.

Oh, my god.

- Give me your bag. - [inaudible]

- Yup. - Oh, good.

You got some essentials.

[inaudible]

JULIE: There will be no touching the ladder

once you're all in the tree.

- Let me get in there with you. - Get in here.

JULIE: Ten seconds left.

- [inaudible] groceries. - Yeah.

I can grab the watermelon. - Right here!

Woo!

I got it!

JULIE: Five, four, three, two, one.

Tweet tweet!

Woo!

JULIE: Congratulations, everyone.

But don't get out of trees just yet,

because this game is not over.

Now, all the food you have with you in the trees

is yours for the week.

But now we're going to give each of you

a chance to start building a nest egg.

Take a good look at your partner.

If the two of you are the last ones remaining

in a tree with your groceries, you will

share in a growing cash prize.

For each week you both remain in the house,

you will share a total of $, for up

to a maximum of $ grand.

[cheering]

But the day one of you is evicted, the pot stops growing.

First, a couple of rules.

No bathroom breaks.

No sleeping.

And one more thing.

Nothing can drop from the nest.

Now, the good news is that you will be allowed to eat or drink

anything from your bags.

But remember, you'll be eating and drinking

from the supplies that are supposed

to be for the entire house.

Good luck, everyone. - Thank you.

Thanks.

So we just stay here?

So this means we are going to be up a tree all night?

[laughter]

Up the tree!

My gosh.

We're going to be here all night.

We're going to be here all night.

Absolutely.

So there's nothing [inaudible]..

Julie said that the last couple sitting in the nest

would win $, each additional week they were in the house.

When Julie told us about having to stay in the tree,

I honestly thought, you know, this is--

there's some tough competition here.

I could chill for a while.

My motivation for the game was to win the money.

Anybody can use an additional $,, possibly $ grand.

Yeah, you could use that.

I'm getting butt lock, and I have a lot of butt to lock, OK?

My foot's already gone.

Hey, guys.

Check us out over here.

This is probably as comfortable as you're going to get.

You know what I'm saying?

When Chiara and I settled into our nest,

we didn't really have a lot of room in the bottom.

So we more or less straddled each other.

Once we got in the nest, I mean, we just clicked.

I mean, it was great.

We just got along really well, and, you know, I'm single,

and he's single.

Guys, are we having fun?

I would say, yeah, I felt a connection with her.

Woo hoo!

I was really, really surprised when

Josh went out of his way in the tree to make me comfortable.

Well, I did get pretty close to Lisa

while I was up in that tree.

Now, was I attracted to Lisa?

Oh, god.

Yeah.

I mean, she is an extremely attractive girl.

I did see that there were certain signs of

a little interplay between us.

It's easy to work that, if you have those tools as a woman,

to work that to your advantage.

So I've got to be really careful about her.

I'm sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G.

That song is coming true!

I don't want you to make me comfortable, because I'm cool.

I'm--

I'm really happy that I ended up

with Jason for the competition.

He's been fantastic to get to know.

Very friendly.

I just dropped that big old thing of relish on you.

I think Lori is great, and hopefully,

she kind of will take me under her wing, kind of as a mom.

I've got a large bladder.

My first impressions of Amy were I was feeling pretty

protective, kind of like a dad.

I'm glad I stopped at one drink, too.

I didn't.

I was on three.

I got more in here.

In hindsight, I think I could have been more of a dad

and said, don't drink the beer.

After I was in the tree, I was, like, hm.

I have a six pack of beer.

I'm bored.

I'm going to drink one.

Anybody want one?

Oh, guys.

OK. Good.

I didn't want to share anyway.

You got a beer?

Yeah.

Oh, that's going to help the bladder.

I have a big bladder.

That was probably the worst decision that I have ever made.

You know, my bladder's not as large as I thought.

Yeah.

If it's between you and me, for all of Josh's humor,

I think he's a mean one.

He's crazy.

How's everybody doing?

Can we get a-- can we get a check?

How's everyone doing?

Tree number one?

Yeah, tree number one's great!

Her party girl thing last night kind

of hurt her a little bit.

Hey, this is Amy TV.

It's all about you right now, Amy.

It's all about you.

Between Amy and drinking, not many moments of silence.

[laughs]

God, I just want her to be quiet.

I think her lack of discipline at that point

may be her doing eventually.

Two hours into the game, Big Brother

came over the loudspeaker and said,

the bags had to stay in the nest,

and you had to have both your legs in the nest,

and you couldn't stand.

[buzzer]

Oh, that's [muted] dumb!

I'm sorry.

That pissed me off.

I mean, I guess I did take it out.

I don't even know.

You know what I mean?

I wasn't even thinking about it at the time, I guess.

And that is my mistake.

That's [muted] up.

Just like someone taking money out of my pocket.

All right.

All right.

I'm going to pee.

I'm sorry.

I can't help it.

[inaudible] care.

I have to pee.

It's not worth my going to the hospital

with a ruptured bladder.

Go.

Go.

I'm going to wet my pants!

Ah, thank god!

At last!

I can't do it anymore.

Are you getting [inaudible]?

I'm going to vomit.

All right, guys.

We're done.

If it wasn't for the bladder thing,

we would have been in it for the long haul, I think.

What happened with you guys?

I swear to god, if I don't pee, I'm going to throw up.

I know!

I just readjusted, and I have a brand new a*s.

I can't believe they're still up there.

They're stuck.

.

We didn't get bandannas because we're

not in the house, guys.

I figured we were both, like--

I mean, those people in the nest are at a huge disadvantage

right now.

We have six people in this house right now.

Like, six people guarantee us in, no matter what.

Eric and Josh and I began talking

to begin forming an alliance.

Well, OK.

I'm going to throw it out here first.

I say we get Marcellas out.

I know it's-- I know [inaudible]..

Hey, you guys?

We have, like, all the meat here.

As I heard you going beforehand, grab the meat!

Grab the meat.

And I grabbed all-- like, all the meat.

I mean, I know we would appreciate it if you went ahead

down and salvaged that so we would have

good food to eat this week.

[laughs]

I can't get out.

I can't get out.

My whole idea of starting an early alliance

is, you know, to save my a*s.

What we're thinking right now is when it comes down to it,

it's best to get the most negative energy out of

the house as early as possible.

My thing is, I think we should concentrate

on getting Marcellas out. - Yup.

- Pretty much that simple. - You know what?

And it's not-- it's nothing against the guy.

It's just it's going to get negative after this.

He doesn't seem happy to be here from the start.

He snaps it. He kind of snaps at people.

And he's [inaudible].

That's not cool.

We all, almost as a block, picked him out

as having a very negative vibe.

Here's my question.

Since we're all in agreeance on that, and we do

want to get the most negative energy out first.

And obviously if there's six of us, no matter what.

If one of you guys is head of household,

and I can have your faith that-- and I do,

I trust this already--

if he is nominated, I would nominate myself against him.

Oh, I know what you're saying.

Yeah, because there's got to be someone

who's going to be saved.

So you're saying--

I also volunteered to be nominated

if I don't win Head of Household to go against Marcellas.

All that's a crock [muted].

I'm not getting kicked out the first week.

[gasps]

Get out.

I'm making an executive decision.

It's meat.

I am getting out against my own will--

That's right.

--for the better good of the house.

Whatever.

Obviously, I was pissed.

Not at Danielle, but pissed because I'm a competitor,

and I really want to win every single competition.

I could care less about the meat.

But I knew it was to our advantage not to win it.

I didn't want to come down out of the tree.

I'd still be sitting in that tree if it was up to me.

We have a winner.

What happened?

Danielle made me get out of the tree.

There'll be a lot more competitions.

Walking around pissed off.

Going to bed early.

Not a good first day strategy.

Once it got down to Tonya and Roddy versus Jason and I,

I was like, now we can't quit.

I feel bad, though, for Danielle, because she

really didn't want to do that.

I know.

But she sacrificed for the good of the house.

I think she just wanted to get down.

She wanted out.

Yeah.

I want out.

I'll be honest.

I know it had to have been well over four hours.

It was tough.

She wanted to win.

And we were doing quite well, actually.

Joshua came into my room.

So there's a good vibe in the house.

What I'm trying to do with Marcellas

is trying to make him feel like I'm his friend.

Again, I don't like being clueless.

And that makes me [inaudible] between you and me.

He wanted to gauge me and size me up and that whole thing,

and I was trying to give him as little information as possible.

Because I do want people to underestimate

me and play me like I'm stupid.

I just can't get comfortable now.

[buzzer]

I had, like, scooted around to one side,

and Roddy went to scoot over to the other side.

[buzzer]

He had stood up.

Oh, yeah!

I think a lot of people were like, wow.

I can't believe you guys stayed in the tree that long.

That was very impressive.

We won!

How'd that happen?

You know, to stay there, it was kind of like, huh.

I have underestimated him.

He might be a fierce competitor.

He's going to go for this.

Congratulations.

Oh, thanks.

And I kept saying, I didn't want to win the first challenge

because it just puts you so much out front and like,

it's a great advantage, but it also--

it puts a little bit of a bull's eye on us.

So it makes-- it's a little scary.

Nice job.

Excellent job right there.

Uh, I really don't think that Lori

and Jason will be around at the end to pick up the $,.

and Jason will be around at the end to pick up the $,.

What did I do?

Sweat?

I share a bed with Lori.

Is that sweat?

Or drool.

Drool?

Drool.

That's an awful lot of drool.

Thanks, Chiara.

Chiara is sweet sweet.

I just like her.

We hit it off right off the bat.

The first night in the house was so uncomfortable.

I can't even tell you.

I don't even know how long we slept.

Not very long, I don't think.

I'm sleeping in a military cot, and I can't stretch out.

It's annoying.

It's uncomfortable.

So I wound up just sleeping on the floor.

You know, we only had, like, and hour or sleep.

You know.

Oh, my gosh.

Early this morning, when I heard Danielle get up,

I was quick to get up and wanted to be an early person up.

Number one, to get in the shower and the hot water

while it lasts.

And then also just to kind of us know what all is happening

and to bond with people.

Danielle made breakfast for us this morning.

I'm not a breakfast person.

But the eggs were fabulous.

I fixed myself food, and to be honest with you,

I do have the common courtesy to offer food to people.

Danielle and I have really fallen in the mom and dad role.

It already has begun to feel like a family.

It is day two at the Big Brother house.

Today, the house guests face another crucial competition.

This one is for power.

Each week, one house guest will be crowned Head of Household,

and that person gets to sleep in style in a private bedroom

behind a locked door.

But more importantly, he has the power to nominate

two housemates for eviction.

It's time now to see who will be the first Head of Household

on "Big Brother ."

Good morning, house guests. - Good morning.

Good morning.

JULIE: How's everyone doing? - Good.

- Good. - Good.

How are you?

JULIE: First, I'd like to congratulate

Lori and Jason for winning the money tree competition.

Nice job, guys.

Nice job.

[applause]

JULIE: Now the moment you've all been waiting for.

It's time to compete for the coveted position

of Head of Household.

Woo hoo!

Yes!

JULIE: Do me a favor.

Take a look at that round door next to you in the living room.

Behind that door is the private Head of Household bedroom,

which comes with such perks as laundry service

and a specially stocked refrigerator.

Once a week, you'll compete for this title, which

not only gives you access to that special bedroom,

but it also gives you power.

As Head of Household, you will nominate two people

for eviction, thereby securing your own place

in the house for another week.

House guests? - Yes.

- Yes. - Absolutely.

JULIE: The power is up for grabs.

Let's begin the first Head of Household competition.

Now, we've given you a stack of cards and a wheel

with your names on it.

Roddy, you've already been randomly selected to go first,

so please go to the podium and take the top card.

Read and answer the question.

Which of your following house guests

is most likely to insist on being the center of attention?

Josh.

[laughter]

JULIE: Roddy, take another card.

Read and answer that question.

Which of your following house guests

is most likely to hit your car and not leave a note?

[laughter]

Amy!

[laughter]

JULIE: All right. Josh.

I don't leave notes.

JULIE: Since you are closer to the wheel, please spin it.

He's got the spin.

Stop.

Danielle.

JULIE: Danielle, between Amy and Josh,

please eliminate the person you do not

want to be Head of Household.

Damn.

I'm going to say Amy.

That's OK.

Ooh, you guys are just scandalous.

Don't worry about me.

JULIE: Josh, you're up.

Which of your fellow house guests

is most likely to steal someone else's boyfriend or girlfriend?

I'm going with Lisa.

Ooh!

JULIE: Lisa, please go stand next to the wheel.

I was not offended by that.

I found it entertaining.

And actually, I was a little bit flattered, actually.

Which of your fellow house guests

is most likely to give a portion of his or her Big Brother

winnings to charity?

Is Gerry.

JULIE: And Lisa, go ahead and spin it.

Chiara, between Gerry and Lisa, please eliminate the person you

do not want to see as the first Head of Household.

Uh, Gerry.

Most likely to pose nude.

Tonya.

Most likely to look straight at you

and not hear a word you're saying.

Josh.

JULIE: Get back up there, Josh.

Most likely to clean the toilet

with someone else's toothbrush.

Marcellas.

Oh!

JULIE: Go on up there, Marcellas.

[inaudible]

Um Marcellas.

Lori, Lori.

JULIE: Lori, between Danielle and Josh,

who would you not like to see as the first Head of Household?

Josh.

Wow.

Get on those stools, Josh.

I can't believe that girl voted me out, Lori.

Wow.

Gerry.

JULIE: Gerry.

Oh, god.

Talk about a lose for lose.

Yeah, they'll never forget this.

Chiara.

My gut feeling was Chiara would

be more forgiving than Lisa.

JULIE: Lisa?

Yes.

JULIE: First of all, congratulations,

because no matter what, right now, you

are definitely in the running to be the first Head of Household.

Now, here is what I need Lori and Danielle to do.

Please come up to the wheel.

Lori, since you're closer, why don't you

spin the wheel for me.

Chiara.

Chiara.

When I stood up there, I didn't want

to be Head of Household for the first one,

because you do that, you got that target probably

on your back for the next time.

Guys, it doesn't mean anything.

I'm going to go with Danielle, only because I'll--

I'll get my own bed.

She's going to keep honest on your a*s.

JULIE: OK.

You can be in it with me.

I'm kidding.

You know I love you, sister.

JULIE: Now that only two of your are left,

the rest of the house guests will vote on who will

be the first Head of Household.

Lori, Lisa, please go to the diary room.

Please raise your paddles if you want to see Lisa

as the first Head of Household.

Eight.

Well, just to make it official, everyone

who wants to see Lori as the first Head of Household,

raise your paddles, and raise them high.

[laughter]

Come on out, you guys.

[inaudible] just light up.

You know, I knocked the hell out

of somebody once [inaudible].

JULIE: Lori and Lisa, please stand next to the wheel.

Well, the house guests have chosen.

Congratulations, Lisa.

By a vote of eight to two, you are now "Big Brother

's" first Head of Household.

God save the queen!

God save the queen!

JULIE: Now, for the next week, Lisa--

Yes.

You control the future of your fellow housemates.

OK.

And soon, you'll have a pretty big decision to make,

which two people to nominate for eviction.

Now, you've got some time to think about it.

But in the meantime, why don't you go check

out your new private bedroom?

Let's go see it.

Let's go see.

Ooh!

Look at her suite!

How sweet it is.

Congratulations.

Yes.

White cheddar.

Yay.

At this hour, Lisa finds herself

in a very powerful position.

But her new title carries with it a big responsibility.

Tomorrow, Lisa will have to reveal to her housemates

which two of them she has chosen to nominate for eviction.

But ultimately, it will be up to the rest of the house guests

to vote on who will stay and who will go.
