computer day and night he has no trouble

with that there are all kinds of

learning disabilities and many types of

dyslexia that's why i wanted you guys to

meet dr carson you think there's

something wrong with my son

you make it sound like i'm defective no

dylan there are many different types of

learning

we just got to figure out your way i

just don't understand how i got this far

without anybody noticing i'm in high

school all anyone ever said to me was

focus work harder i know

i wish we picked up on this sona that's

the tricky thing with many learning

disabilities is that they're often hard

to identify

see dyslexia has nothing to do with

intelligence or everyday smarts

bright kids like you often find lots of

ways to compensate they did a whole lot

of tests on dylan in middle school they

didn't find a thing

i know i saw the results they did a

psycho-educational assessment but i

think we need to do some additional

testing dylan i'd like to listen to you

read have you do some writing and some

problem solving

there's no pass or fail it's just to

help us understand you better and if you

do identify dylan as dyslexic then we'll

help him find the best way for him to do

better in school

it'll be a lot of hard work dylan but

this will give you a chance to make a

whole new start
