01x09 - The Frightful Four

Post by bunniefuu »

It was the world's strangest accident

while testing a new rocket ship.

Our heroes were bombarded by mysterious

cosmic rays from outer space.

Though they crash landed safely, the

strange and powerful rays had changed

each one of them. Transforming their

leader Reed Richards into the plastic

skinned Mr. Fantastic

Sue Richards into the now you see her,

now you don't Invisible Girl

and Ben Grimm into a mighty muscled

powerhouse called the Thing.

Now, together with Kirby the Robot, the

newest member of the group, they have

become the greatest team of superheroes

the world has ever known.

The new Fantastic

Four. Deep in a faraway forest at an

isolated mansion, a bizarre meeting takes

place. Evil forces have gathered to offer

the greatest challenge ever for the

Fantastic Four.

Uh, yes, a toast, my dear Medusa,

to celebrate.

Thank you, Wizard. But to celebrate what?

The happiest day of my life to the

end of the Fantastic Four. To the

end of the Fantastic Four. But

we'll need more than your power and mine

to destroy them. Yes, yes,

Medusa, you're right. I've also invited

two others.

Welcome, Sandman. And

Trapster.

Here's a little trick just for you,

Sandman. Well done, Trapster.

Seems you quieted the storm.

Not quite. The joke will end with you,

Trapster. Stand back, Sandman. It was

your hurricane prank that started this

mess. No one threatens me, you

Coney Island Beach. I can blow you away

anytime I want to. Make your move,

sandbag. We'll see whose power is

greater. I didn't bring you

here to quarrel and fight amongst

yourselves. We must work together as

one. I, the Wizard, Medusa,

Sandman, and the Trapster, to be united

as a team like the Fantastic Four.

Only then will our power be stronger,

greater than anyone has ever seen. From

this day on, the world will know us as

the Frightful Four.

All this exercise and no crime is getting

me down. If we don't get some action

soon, I'm going to go out with the

wrecking crews and demolish a couple of

buildings. Benjamin, perhaps we could go

to the library together. What for?To read

a book. Improve your mind, Ben. Uh,

my mind don't need no improving. I think

your wires are crossed. Hey, Reed, you

better give the little bucket of wires a

checkup and hurry. Next you'll be telling

us to take up Denson. Why

not?I bet you'd got a mean figure on the

dance floor, Ben. Ah, gee. It was

merely a suggestion. Robbery.

Jewelry store. Location. Central City.

Hot dog. Time for fun.

Let's go. Head for the fantastic car.

Hurry. I'm way ahead of you, Strutch. Are

your sensors picking up anything else,

Herbie?Yes. There are four of them.

Very powerful. Who are they?Medusa,

Sandman, Trapster, and the Wizard.

Reed, how did they all get together? It

must be the Wizard. He's a very clever

and dangerous man. We're over Central

City. The store must be close. Keep a

sharp lookout. Aware of the Fantastic

Four's power as a team, the Wizard's plan

begins to unfold. He first lures

them from the Baxter building in order to

discredit them.

Oh, my goodness. My

jewels.

A crown of jewels for you, Medusa, so you

can dazzle a Fantastic Four. How

charming, Wizard. You flatter me.

Bravo, Wizard. Bravo. Your

magic is almost as clever as one of my

traps. We'll soon see. Look,

the Fantastic Four. They're coming

just as we wanted. We must hurry. Do you

remember what the Wizard told you to do?

Don't worry about me. You just do

your job.

There on the street, Sandman and

Trapster. They're splitting up. Wizard

and Medusa must be nearby. We'll have to

split up. Sue and I will chase them down.

Then, Herbie, you handle Sandman and

Trapster. With pleasure. I'll take the

walking sandcastle. Time to split.

Trigger your release mechanism. Hang on,

pal. You think you can handle that

trapster bozo?Certainly, Benjamin.

So, what are you waiting for?You gotta be

the slowest bunch of relays ever put

together. So long, buddy. Don't

let him get away with nothing. I I

certainly won't, Benjamin. I sure hope my

courage circuits are activated. All

right, Wizard. Haunted games are over.

I see you haven't learned your lesson.

Not quite, Richards. This time the lesson

is all yours. You and your

fantastic friends are doomed. You've

played right into my hands, ReedRichards.

You're no threat to me, Wizard. You and

the others are under arrest.

You amuse me, Richards. You'll soon

realize the power of the Fantastic Four

is no match for us. Compared to us,

the Frightful Four, you and the others

are nothing but children. Maybe

so, Wizard, but you'll soon see how hard

we play. Sue, you'll keep an eye on

Medusa. Show the invisible girl your

surprise, Medusa. I'm going to show

Richard's mine,

Shifty. You're running out of room.

I've been looking forward to bumping into

you, Grim. The pleasure's all mine,

Creep.

You'll be running into me, all right,

with these.

Hey, what's going on?Where'd he go?

Wanna go for a spin, Ugly?I

can't see.

All your magic's gone to your head,

Wizard. Why?You'll be shocked to know I

won't be going along with you on that.

He's electrified himself. I... I can't

let go! It will

be you, not I, going down to Earth.

My charged body has neutralized all

your strength and

Diamonds, ground control. They're

stretched to their thinnest.

You want the jewels back, sweetheart?

Here they are. You

know what they say, don't you?Diamonds

are a girl's best friend.

Would you like more of them?

I can't dodge these any longer. I

must use my invisible shield.

I'm certain the Trapster is in this

direction. That's right, Robot. Just a

little further and you'll be on my

magnetic line.

There. Alert. Alert.

Magnetic field. Control function

negative. Power loss cannot compute.

Cannot compute. Cannot compute.

Cannot compute.

You look just like a duck in a sh**ting

gallery.

Cannot compute. Cannot

compute. Cannot compute. Cannot

compute. Cannot compute. Cannot

compute. Cannot

compute. Cannot compute. Cannot compute.

Now, do you believe your power is nothing

compared to mine?Enough of this child's

blame. I have other things to do. Her

invisible shield is too strong, Wizard.

Perhaps for your power, but not in mine,

Medusa. Allow me to assist you in

Zam Demovar.

Now we'll see whether your shield can

withstand a blade of diamonds.

My compliments, Sue Richards, on your

power. It saved you this time.

How unfortunate for us.

I promise that soon, very soon,

things will be different.

Reed, are you OK?

I'm all right. Let's find the others. Are

you sure you're all right?I can take the

controls. No, I'm. I'm fine, Sue. The

wizard is proving to have more tricks up

his sleeve than I thought. Ben and Herbie

should be somewhere South of here. Keep a

sharp eye, Sue. I think I see movement

in the alley. Ben,

what happened to you?Would you believe

I've been playing in a sand pile?

Oh, big fella, steady.

Someone want to stop the Tilda world?

Well, well, the Fantastic

Four. I'd say not so

fantastic. When we're finished with you,

you'll be known as the Feeble 4.

Don't count on it, magic man. We'll have

to settle with them later, then. Right

now we must find Herbie. Well, let's get

at it then. The little guy might be

hurting. He was headed this way

last I saw him. He can't be far.

Freeze. Over there. Cannot come here.

Cannot come here. What? What's the matter

with him?He seems to be trapped in some

sort of force field. Cannot come here.

Cannot come here. Oh, what are we going

to do about it?There must be some sort of

power source nearby. I get the

idea, pal.

Well, this ought to cure him.

Cannot come here.

Frightful Four. Is that correct?Well, it

was only a skirmish, not the battle. But

they did overpower you, didn't they? The

Frightful Four made fools of you.

Who you calling names, peanut head?Any

of you pin pushers think we can't stop

the frightful freaks? You better come up

here and tell me. Terrific.

We got nothing more to say.

The Frightful 4 is an extremely powerful

group. We can't make any more mistakes as

we did today. We shouldn't have split up.

How could those four selfish types ever

have gotten together in the 1st place,

Reed?It doesn't fit. I don't know.

Try computing it, Herbie.

That's interesting. What's the prognosis,

Doc?Sue's right. It doesn't fit. Even

Herbie can't come up with an answer.

Salute to the ultimate

destruction of the Fantastic Four

and our own success. This

alliance is fine, but I'm getting

impatient. I want to go after something

really big. You're given orders.

Suppose I do. Suppose you shut your

big trap. Gentlemen, please,

no arguing. The entire

world can be ours if we only remain

together. But first, we must completely,

totally eliminate the Fantastic Four if

we're to dominate. I've devised a plan

to do just that. They cannot escape.

It will be their finish. The

bank alarm. This could be our chance to

even the score. Perky. Compute the

location. It's about time. Where are we

going, little guy?South side corner of

take the Pogo plane and stay together.

The bank alarm should bring the so-called

Fantastic Four here any minute.

Watch carefully, my friends, and you'll

witness a real act of my power.

No greater than mine, nor mine.

Silence. Move back to where I told you.

Put it down over there, Ben. Gotcha,

boss. I can fly this thing with my eyes

closed. Be careful. Don't tell me what

they might be up to this time. This way,

superheroes. Let's just see how

much of A team you really are. Come here,

Wiz. I got a surprise and each mitt

for you.

Uthor.

Quit looking at me, Grim. I ain't looking

at you. I've had it looking at your ugly

face. Get off my back, rubber man.

Your puss ain't so hot either. You're a

piece of junk, Herbie. Reed's always

fixing you. Who's Reed?Someone ought to

make a schoolhouse out of you. You're

cruising for some heavy bruising, Buster.

Wow, look at that. The Fantastic Four

fighting among themselves. Wait till this

hits the papers. Substance is a

combination of mineral, vegetable, and

woolly mammoth. Come on, cutie. We've

got plans for you. You can't do this.

Stop. Help. Ben. Shoe read.

Help

me. Help. This outfit is for the bird.

Count me out. That

goes for me too, buddy.

Fantastic Four fight themselves. Are

the Fantastic Four finished?

Not the best of headlines, Sue. We're

lucky the spell wore off when it did

before we injured one another. Yes, but

the real injury is what the people will

see in the newspapers. Where's Ben?He's

in the exercise room, working off a

little steam. I think he's worried about

Herbie.

I've had it. Waiting for Herbie to drop

in our laps ain't working. You two can

hang around. I'm going out looking. We've

always been a team, Ben. We must stick

together. We'll find Herbie. Yeah, but

when? The little guy might get himself in

trouble without me around.

Someone's in the projection room. Look.

What is it?The projector is running. By

now you must be coming aware of our

superiority. Your power is

inferior, but I'm willing to make a deal

with you over this blinking contraction

you value so much. We don't make

deals, Whizbang. Too bad. Then

perhaps you forced me to make this thing

into something more useful.

Perhaps a television set.

Reed, ma'am. Look here by the

projector. It's a map to the

wizard's mansion. We're walking into an

obvious trap. Yes, Sue. And

perhaps more dangerous than we may know.

What do you think? So what? What are we

waiting for?Yeah, let's go get Herbie.

We're on our way. I.

I kind of lost my hand, but busting out

after Herbie by myself. Then,

the important thing is that we remain a

team. That's our real strength. Reed,

do you have a plan of action against the

rightful four?No, I don't. My guess is

that we won't even need one. What?

There's the wizard's mansion. Get ahead.

I'm surprised there's no reception

committee. I don't like it. It's too

quiet. Welcome the

Fantastic Three.

Please don't worry about your little

friend. He's in excellent shape. That

is, for the shape he's in.

Look behind the door. What you see will

amuse you.

Oh, no.

That does it.

Say goodbye, wizard. You ain't

gonna be no more. Hey,

what gives? They're just a bunch of

mechanical dolls.

We're in a room full of doors. Who's

hiding behind this one?

Barbecue, anyone?Stand back, Ben. I can

handle this.

My invisible shield should reflect the

plane back in its face.

Good work, Sue. This place is a regular

house of horrors.

Hold on,

stretch, while I play a little handball

here.

Now I know what it's like to be inside a

pinball machine. What can we do?Keep

trying, Doris, till we find them. At the

rate we're going, it could take a

lifetime. A lifetime, in your

case, equals another 60

seconds.

We'll see about that.

Water's rising fast. We'll run out of air

soon. Time for a look-see

underwater, pal.

Boats away.

These water games ain't no fun. They

give me a headache.

Quiet. Your constant bickering is

trying my patience. I'm warning

you,

Wizards. Knock, knock. Nice of you to

knock, Mr. Grimm, but your arrival is

untimely. This anti-friction material

ought to hold you and the others until

I'm ready to dispose of you.

My body is weakening. You won't

touch them until I say so. Everything

is slowing down. I've waited too

long for this moment to have it spoiled

by any of you. Spoil it for

you. This isn't just your show,

Wizard. And don't get the idea that it's

your show either, Trapster. Moron,

all of you. I want out of this. I've

listened to you long enough, Wizard. You

know, I've had enough of your arrogance.

You ain't going to boss me around again.

Silence. Not this time.

You fools. All is lost.

Hi, Grant. Hervey is for the rescue.

Hervey. We thought you was a TV set.

No, just locked in Wizard's lavatory,

Benjamin. Another of his nefarioustricks.

This will counteract the anti-friction

material. Good going, little

guy. This way, quickly. There is no time

to lose. The vengeance that the

frightful poor have against one another

will destroy the mansion and everything

in it.

Nothing's left. Even their jets vanished.

It's like they were just a bad dream.

Yeah. Goodbye, nightmares.

Well, I've sure learned something out of

all of this. I promise never to

argue again. Don't be so hard on

yourself, Benjamin. After all, you're

only human. Only human.

What do you mean, only?Benjamin, I was

only saying. Well, at least I don't look

like some kind of soup can. Benjamin.

I got heart. Benjamin. And I got

feelings. Benjamin. And I

got warm. Boy,

do you ever take the cake. You got to see

I'm more than only human. Yes,

Benjamin, you certainly are.
