The Hulk has broken in General
Ross's house, terrifying Betty.

Hearing her screams,
soldiers surround the house.

A tank is brought up and when
the door is finally broken down,

the Hulk and his pursuers
stand face to face.

Hold your fire.
You might hit my daughter.

Hulk, it's me, Rick, your friend.

The Hulk has no friends.

The lumbering giant and his c*ptive

are soon lost in the gloom
of the evening.

Rick follows frantically
toward Bruce Banner's lab.

Who are you?
Why do you hate us so?

I am the Hulk.

I hate all mankind.

That's right, stare.
Stare at what men have done to me.

But this I promise you.

They will hound me no longer.

Don't, Hulk.
It's Betty.

Even as Rick pleads with the Hulk,
the world quakes in fear,...

..as the toadmen
watch with fiendish pleasure

and the moon takes its toll,
just as they had threatened.

Hulk, stop. Don't.
Listen to me.

You, shut up.
This time I'll silence you forever.

Wait. Earth is in danger.
You must understand.

What's happening?

Outside, the Hulk lies unconscious,

and as the dawn bathes his face
in an eerie glow,

his features soften and change.

Until finally...

Doc, what a relief.
You're OK?

Where's Betty?

Here she is, Doc.
Roughed up a little, though.

Bruce, I'm so frightened.

You're safe now, as safe as anyone
can be in this fearful world.

Bruce, you've got to do something.

Alright, young lady, get some rest
and we'll see what can be done.

Rick, our only chance is to turn
our magnetic energy against them.

Whatever that means.

We've got to get
to the gamma ray g*n.

Yeah, it's your own invention.

Miles away, behind concrete walls,
they prepare the g*n.

While overhead...

Banner seems to be adjusting
some kind of weapon.

But it can't harm us.

Doc! Hurry, Doc.
I hear voices.

Slowly, the great
gamma ray g*n zeroes in.

Outside, the General
clamours for admittance.

Open up there, Banner,
or we'll blast our way in.

Hold them off, Rick.

- I need about 60 seconds.
- Will do.

Those infernal spaceships
affect my reading.

- But I can't quit now.
- Hurry, Doc.

Just one final adjustment.

OK, Rick. It's activated.

- Let them in.
- They're already in.

Outside, a sudden hush and...

The world watches
as the ray g*n's gamma energy

sends the toad ships spinning
helplessly into infinity forever.

I just don't understand you, Banner.

Daddy.

Great job, my boy.

Next time, cue me in
and we'll get the job done sooner.

- Yes, sir.
- Daddy, is that the best you can do?

Bruce, it's getting late.

We have to get on with our expedition.
