Thundercats!

[♪♪♪]

For the last time, Vultureman,

no!

I've had it with you

and your half-baked inventions.

Aaagghh!

But I'm telling you,

this plan will work.

Hee-hee-ha-ha-ha-ha. Oh, sure.

[GIGGLES] We've heard it
before, and we're sick of it.

You're always coming up
with some new sure-fire weapon

to take over Third Earth.

But so far, we've been on the
losing end of every encounter.

Waaghh! Okay.

So we've had some setbacks.

But this map shows
us where to find

the legendary Sound
Stones of Darkside,

and if I can get my hands

on a Sound Stone,

I can produce the
ultimate sonic g*n.

A weapon which would
blast the Thundercats

off the face of Third Earth!

Enough of this
nonsense, Vultureman!

The Thundercats are not
going to be afraid of a little noise.

Waagh! "A little noise"?

JACKALMAN: Face it, Vultureman.

You just don't
have what it takes

to defeat the Thundercats.

This time,

you're on your own.

So that's the way it is, huh?

Well, fine!

I'll take out the
Thundercats on my own.

I, mutant genius,

will work alone.

I'll design the sonic g*n,

and I'll build it around

a Sound Stone from Darkside,

which I'll find by myself!

[♪♪♪]

[FOOTSTEPS]

[BLATHERS]

According to this map,

the Sound Stones of Darkside

are hidden in these ruins.

[YELPS]

The sooner I'm out of here,

the happier I'll be.

[BLATHERS]

It looks like Vultureman
is doing some sightseeing

at Darkside.

What is he up to?

LUNA: Beats me.

Let's make a landing.

Grab him and find out.

[HIGH-PITCHED PULSING]

Ha-ha.

This is going to be easier

than I thou... Oh!

[SHRIEKS]

WOMAN: Guardians, awake!

Someone disturbs the song

of the Sound Stones.

[GROWLING]

[SHRIEKS]

Lighten up, gargoyles.

We'll take care of Vultureman.

[YELPING]

CHILLA: So, Vultureman,

what brings you to Darkside?

Naaghh! None of
your business, Chilla.

Haagghh!

[YELPS]

Perhaps I can persuade
you [WHIMPERING]

that it is my business, beakey.

Whaaggh!

I came for this.

A Sound Stone.

I... I'm going to
build a sonic g*n,

which will make me

the most powerful
force on Third Earth.

Hm. The most powerful
force on Third Earth, eh?

Why don't you come
back to Sky-Tomb

and tell us all about this, uh,

sonic g*n.

[BABBLES]

Thanks, but I'm working alone

on this caper.

Au contraire, Vultureman.

[SLURPS] From now
on, you're working for us.

[♪♪♪]

[GROANS]

Wh... What is it, Lynx-O?

What is the matter?

Tha... That noise, that sound.

It's... unbearable!

But I don't hear a thing.

You wouldn't...
at this distance.

But my hearing
is more developed.

The decibel level is almost...

deadly.

[WEAKLY] I... I must...

trace the source.

[YELLS]

Must measure the sound level.

The damage is impressive,

Vultureman.

Let us plan a test.

We will use it against
the Thundercats.

Waaaghh.

I still have some more
adjustments to make.

And by then, we'll
have the ultimate

anti-Thundercat weapon.

Ahh, the sound has stopped.

But the information I collected

on the braille
board is not good.

That sound was
coming from Sky-Tomb.

The Lunataks appear
to have developed

some kind of sonic weapon.

At close range, it could
neutralize my braille board

and disable the Tower of Omens.

We'll have to develop
something to counteract it.

I'll discuss it with Panthro.

[HIGH-PITCHED BEEPING]

[SNARF HOWLS]

SNARF: Ooh,
that's bad, Panthro...

but not bad enough.

According to Lynx-O,

whatever the
Lunataks are working on

is much worse.

How's it going,
Panthro? Not well.

I've tried every crystallized
power source in the book,

and none of them
produce the right note

or hold it long enough.

I can't imagine what
the Lunataks are using

to generate that frequency.

We've got to come up with
something soon, Panthro.

The Lunataks could attack
anywhere and anytime.

WILYKAT [OVER
PA]: Lion-O! Panthro!

Get up here, quick!
Lynx-O's calling!

Trouble at the Tower of Omens!

Snarrrrfff!

It looks like that time is now.

Sky-Tomb is headed this way

at maximum speed.

Prepare the Tower
for action, Lynx-O.

I'm on my way.

Bengali! Pumyra!

Battle stations!

Get ready for the
fight of your lives.

SNARFER: Agh-hagh-hagh!

Snarfer, snarfer! Don't
like the looks of this.

Ooh-hoo-hoo. No, sir!

Aaaggh!

B-by Thundera!

Ugh, that sound!

Ugh!

Lynx-O!

Bengali! Pumyra! Activate the...

[GROWLS AND COUGHS]

That last blast
knocked out all systems.

BENGALI: We'll have
to make a run for it.

[COUGHS] Let's get
to the Thunderstrike.

[COUGHS] I can't see a
thing. The smoke is blinding me.

Take my arm.

I'm used to finding
my way in the dark.

Hit them again, Vultureman.

Aim for the entrance.

LUNA: And when those
Thundercats make a break for it...

[SHRIEKS]

Blast them, Vultureman!

[SHRIEKS]

[♪♪♪]

LION-O: h*!

We made it.

Thank you, Lion-O.

Head for the Lair,
Thunderstrike.

I've got a clear shot at that
thing, and I'm going to take it.

[GROANS]

Oh, no, you don't,

Thundercat.

Aaagh!

LUNA: Give him another dose

of decibels.

I can't get a bead on him.

He's spinning out of range.

Ugh. The sonic
shock is wearing off.

Now, if I can just
pull the HoverCat

out of this spin.

Ugh!

The transmitter's out,
and I'm losing altitude.

A few more minutes,
and I'll crash.

Thunder, thunder

thunder. Thundercats, h*!

[♪♪♪]

Look! Lion-O's in trouble.

BENGALI: But how
can we help him?

The Thunderstrike won't
move fast enough as a unit,

and we can't leave
Lynx-O to pilot it alone.

That sonic wave

may have neutralized
my braille board,

but it didn't
neutralize my ability

to judge speed and distance.

I can pilot my way back
to the Lair from memory.

LYNX-O: Go to Lion-O.

He needs you more than I do.

Thanks for the lift. Now
let's get back to the Lair

and see if Panthro's making
any progress with his sound g*n.

PANTHRO: I've
analyzed all the recordings,

and I'm positive
that the power source

Vultureman is using
is one of the legendary

Sound Stones of Darkside.

Uh-oh. That's bad news.

You know about the
Sound Stones, Snarfer?

Well, according to legend

the Sound Stones of Darkside

are guarded by the
priestess Sondora.

We've got to get hold
of one of those stones.

It's our only hope.

Snarfer, do you think
you could figure out

where in Darkside
we should look?

Gee, Panthro,
I'll give it a shot.

But, heck, it's only a legend.

You get yourself
to the Lair Library

and look up that information

before Vultureman
has another chance

to play Plun-Darr with
our eardrums again.

Uh-uh-uh, yes, sir, Uncle Snarf.

You got it.

Cheetara,

you organize a ground patrol

to retake the Tower of Omens

when we get back
with a Sound Stone.

SNARFER: This place is creepy.

Well, if we're going
to do it, let's do it!

Look! Over there!

That looks promising.

[WHIMPERS]

Depends what you mean by
"promising." Snarfer, snarfer.

I say, let's load the
sonic g*n into Sky-Tomb,

go to Cat's Lair and
lower the sonic boom now!

I'm tired of waiting.

The wait is over, TugMug.

We've got company.

PANTHRO: There they
are. The Sound Stones.

The legend is true.

Guardians, awake!

[GROWLING]

Wait. These beings are not evil.

They are only protecting
the stone from thieves.

Put down your weapons!

I am Sondora,
keeper of the realm.

Who is it that comes
to take a Sound Stone,

yet claims not to be a thief?

I am Lion-O, lord
of the Thundercats,

and we would not take the stone

without your
permission, Sondora.

But we do need it badly.

The evil Vultureman,
who stole the other stone,

is using it to
attack our people.

By your voice, I know you to
be good and your cause just.

You may take a Sound Stone.

But I must warn you:

Vultureman's stone
is very powerful.

If you are to defeat
him with this stone,

you will need a warrior who
understands the power of sound.

I think I know just
the guy for the job.

CHEETARA: Good,
they still haven't seen us.

So, Cheetara,

did you really
think you could stay

out of my sight?

Not bad, Cheetara,

but let me show you
a really cool move.

If I time this just right...

[YELLS]

This Thundercat will be finished

when I put the fear
of Alluro into him.

Have a little taste of
your own medicine, Alluro.

Thanks, Thunderkittens.

That was a close one.

Such a lousy shot.

I bet you can't even hit me.

Bumbling buffoons!

This has gone on long
enough, Vultureman.

Fire up the sonic g*n,

and bury those
Thundercats once and for all!

Do it, Vultureman! Do it now!

[MOANING]

[LAUGHING]

They're done for.

They're...

[YELLS]

Look out! TugMug's
going to try to stop us.

I've got him.

h*!

Blast them!

If we take another hit
like that, we've had it.

Don't worry, Panthro,
I think this will do it.

[♪♪♪]

Now, for Sky-Tomb.

Back! Lunataks!

Back to Sky-Tomb!

Mutant.

No good.

ALL: Thundercats, h*!

I have returned the Sound Stones

as I promised, Sondora.

On behalf of the Thundercats

and all the people
of Third Earth,

thank you for your help.

SONDORA: Wait, Lion-O.

For centuries, we have
guarded the Sound Stones well.

But now things have changed.

Mutants and Lunataks
know of their power.

And if they ever
stole all the stones,

Third Earth would
know a new master.

Where... What happened to them?

They are safe in
another dimension,

lord of the Thundercats.

Your enemies will never again

threaten Third Earth
with the Sound Stones.

Once again, I have
to thank you, Sondora.

Our enemies are
many and powerful.

We need all the help we can
get if Third Earth is to be free.

One day, Third Earth
will be free, Lion-O.

One day, you and the
Thundercats will achieve that goal

because you work together

and because you
have right on your side.

I'm afraid that just
being right is not enough.

We have to fight
for our beliefs,

and that takes power.

As long as you Thundercats
work together, Lion-O,

you will have that power.

That is true.

I guess we just have to
hope that the Lunataks,

the mutants and Mumm-Ra

will never learn that
kind of teamwork.

If that day comes,

you can always count
on me. Until then...
