04x07 - Frogman

Post by bunniefuu »

How deep have you
drilled now, Wilykit?

One hundred and twenty-three feet,
nine and a half inches.

If we don't hit water soon...

...we'll have to dig this well
somewhere else.

[ENGINE RUMBLING]

WILYKAT:
Uh-oh, the Thunderstrike.

I hope this doesn't mean trouble.

Hi, kittens. How's that well coming?

We're over a hundred feet down
and we still haven't struck water.

[CHUCKLES]

Patience, Wilykit.

All our surveys show that
there's a huge underground lake...

...right beneath this field.

Stay with it.
You'll hit pay dirt soon enough.

Now, listen up.

We've just received
another distress signal...

...from some refugees
trying to find their way to us.

Cheetara, Bengali and I
are going to check it out.

-Can we come?
-Uh-uh.

Lion-O and Snarfer are already
out on the eastern approaches...

...installing an early warning system.

So that leaves Snarf alone in the lair.

No. I'm afraid you guys will
just have to hold the fort.

Think you can handle it?

We'll give it our best shot, Panthro.

Wait.

[RUMBLING]

We've struck it rich.

[GASPS]

[CROAKING]

FROGMAN:
Thundercats.

But so small.

How can this be?

What do we do now?
And how can we stop it?

[CROAKING]

FROGMAN:
Fate is a generous mistress.

No sooner am I free
than she gives me the opportunity...

[CROAKS]

...to revenge myself
on the accursed Thundercats.

[CHUCKLES AND CROAKS]

[GASPING]

[SPEAKS INDISTINCTLY]

So long, Thundercats.

Your ancestors imprisoned me
in that watery jail for all eternity.

But it seems I have the last laugh.

[FROGMAN LAUGHS MANIACALLY]

If there are young Thundercats
on this planet...

...I wonder where
the adults are. Hmm.

I've got one idea,
and I hope it works.

Ha! Quite resourceful,
those little pond-scummers.

But no match for Frogman.

If all that mud and water
reaches the lair...

...it could rot the foundations
and the lair will collapse.

WILYKIT:
And Snarf's in there alone.

[CRASHING]

[SINGING]

[RUMBLING]

Snarf!

Reow!
A mud flood.

Holy snarfie!

Oh, reow!

Where are the Thunderkittens?

We need help, Wilykit.

There isn't anyone.
We're on our own.

[FROGMAN CROAKING]

Not quite, my young friends.

Who are you?

Frogman, friend to one and all.

[CHUCKLES]

Surely you don't fear me.

I witnessed
your unfortunate mishap...

...and hurried here to assist you.

But happily, you managed
to save yourselves.

[CHUCKLES]

Congratulations.

[LAUGHS AND CROAKS]

[FROGMAN LAUGHS]

I'm here to offer my assistance.

It seems there's been
a leak in your well.

It really ought to be
plugged at the source.

Thanks. But I think we'd better
try to find our friends.

They'll know what to do.

[CHUCKLES AND CROAKS]

Your friends?

Why, you must mean
the Thundercats.

You know the Thundercats?

Well, of course.

From the old days on Thundera.

You mean
they've never mentioned me?

[CHUCKLES]

We were such pals
when we were children.

Went to all the hops.

[LAUGHS]

Ah, well, you're both too young
to remember those days.

Now, about that leak, why wait?

Surely the Thundercats
would want you to fix it.

[CROAKS AND CHUCKLES]

If you don't...

...you might find your home
floating away to kingdom come.

[LAUGHS AND CROAKS]

Could, uh, you help us?

Why, of course. Follow me.

[CROAKS]

I don't know about this, Wilykat.

Somehow I don't trust him.

I know he looks kind of strange...

...but that's no reason
not to trust him.

Look how nice he is.

Always laughing.
And he is offering to help us.

You're right.
Besides, what choice do we have?

[CROAKS]

Come, come, my friends.

Are you sure you know
what you're--?

[SQUEALING]

[CHUCKLING]
Are you okay?

Yep. No sweat. No problem.

[WHIRRING]

Trouble.

Sword of Omens,
give me sight beyond sight.

[LAUGHS AND CROAKS]

Relax, Thunderkittens.

We'll have everything
in apple-pie order...

...in two shakes of a dog's tail.

[FROGMAN CHUCKLES]

Strange.

What is it, Lion-O?
Tell me, tell me.

Well, there must be something wrong
with the sword.

I see no danger.

Jaga.

That creature with the Thunderkittens
is called Frogman.

Frogman. But he looks
so harmless, so friendly.

Not everything is as simple
as it seems, Lion-O.

An eternity ago,
Frogman came to this planet...

...because his own was drying up.

There is no force
more powerful than water.

And Frogman can control that force.

With water as his weapon...

...he tried to dominate Thundera.

I imprisoned him
in an underground lake.

Now it seems he has escaped.

The Thunderkittens
are in terrible danger.

Terrible danger.

[CHUCKLES THEN CROAKS]

I bet you've never seen
anything like this, Thunderkittens.

[FLOWER LAUGHS]

What is it?

Take it. You'll see.

[YELLING]

I'll get it, Wilykit.

[FLOWER LAUGHS]

Okay, Frogman, you win.

You've had your fun.
Now let us go.

Had my fun?

[CHUCKLES]

My dear...

...the fun has only just begun.

[LAUGHING]

SNARF:
Come in, Thundercats. Come in.

Somebody, anybody...

...can you hear me?

Snarf. Snarf!

All that mud must have fouled up
our communication systems.

Oh, reow!

I'm trapped in here...

...and the Thunderkittens
are somewhere out there.

Oh, reow!

Where is everybody?

LION-O:
Do the best you can, Snarfer.

Sure will, Lion-O. Yep, will do.

I'll settle Frogman's hash,
then I'll be back to pick you up.

Oh, don't worry about me.

No, sir. I'll just finish this stuff.

You can leave it to me.

[LAUGHS AND CROAKS]

So, my young friends...

...welcome to Churning Canyon...

...my favorite amusement park.

Wilykat!

Get ready to do it again.

[CHUCKLING]

What better way
to set a Thundercat trap...

...than bait it with Thunderkittens?

[CHUCKLING]

[WHIRRING]

What now?
We're in enough trouble as it is.

Sword of Omens, give me
sight beyond sight.

I can't keep going
much longer, Wilykit.

Don't give up, Wilykat.
Hang in there.

The longer we fight, the more
chance there is of being rescued.

You'll pay for this, Frogman.

The vine's stuck.
We're all tangled up.

We've got no room to maneuver.

Thanks. That's exactly
what I wanted to hear.

What do we do?

Look, that's the Hovercat.

-Lion-O! Yo, over here, Lion-O!
-Lion-O! Lion-0O!

Stay cool, Thunderkittens.

I'll be there.

Hurry, Lion-O. Hurry!

There he is.

Keep calm.

WILYKIT AND WILYKAT:
Look out!

[CROAKS AND LAUGHS]

Revenge is sweet.
So long, sucker.

So far, so good.

[RUMBLING]

Spoke too soon.

This calls
for a Sword of Omens special.

Thunder, thunder, thunder.

Thundercats, h*!

Lion-O's in trouble.

Ah!

The sword's power
is beginning to fade.

I don't know how much longer
I can hold out.

The Thunderstrike!

Not a moment too soon.

The Thunderkittens
are down there too.

We've got to do something fast.

Activate pincers.

Nice work, Thundercats.

Now to get myself out of here.

LION-O:
That was too close for comfort.

Hold on, Thunderkittens.
I'll get you.

Get us out of here, Cheetara.

Reow! Oh, Thundercats,
where are you?

[LAUGHS]

Have I got a bag of tricks
for you...

...Thundercats. Mm-hm.

[LAUGHING]

Holy Jaga.

Take us in low, Cheetara.

If Snarf's still in there,
we've got to get him out.

I'm on it.

[GASPING]

[FLOWERS LAUGHING]

So our friend is here.

The Thunderstrike can't take
much more of this, Lion-0.

Wait. I have an idea.

Set a course for the Eastern Sea
And don't spare the Thundrillium.

[WIND WHISTLING]

Be careful, Lion-O.

One wrong move and we could be
sucked into that giant Sea Spire.

She's right, Lion-O.

If you're going to tangle with a tornado,
you'd better know what you're doing.

Desperate remedies
for desperate straits, Panthro.

We all have to take our chances.

h*!

Hear me, Jagara,
protector of New Thundera...

...keeper of all its natural forces.

Help me harness
the power of the Sea Spire...

...so that we can save
our friends and our home.

h*!

Reow! Oh, no!

A tornado!

As if things weren't bad enough.

[WHIMPERING]

What?

[GROANING]

No!

[SCREAMING]

[IN UNISON]
Thundercats, h*!

Just a few more beams
and the foundation will be...

...just as solid as it was before.

The communications system
is back up and operating.

I'd sure like to send
a message to that Frogman.

Yeah, something like "with friends
like you, who needs enemies?"

WILYKIT: If we had trusted
our instincts in the first place...

...we would have been
a lot better off.

Well, Thundercats, you might
have arrived earlier.

This place is a disaster.

I've never seen so much
mud and muck. Snarf!

I'll be cleaning all week.

-Here, let us do this.
-Here, let us do this.

we'll all help.

You will? Well, gee. Snarf.

I guess it's times like these...

...that you find out
who your friends really are.
