[ELECTRONIC BEEPING]

[SNARF REOWS]

-What is that noise?
-It's a distress signal.

And it's coming from that capsule.

LION-O: And unless my memory's failing,
that's an old Project 27 capsule.

Which means, it's Thunderian.

We'd better get the Feliner ready
and go check it out.

But, Lion-0O,
that's way beyond the Feliner's range.

I'm sure Panthro
will think of something.

PANTHRO: These boosters will give us
the range we need, Lion-0.

PANTHRO: But fueling them has used up
virtually all our Thundrillium supplies.

The Lair's tanks are bone-dry.

That's a price we just have to pay.
We can't ignore a distress signal.

LION-O:
While you and Cheetara check it out...

...we'll look for new Thundrillium
deposits and refill all our tanks.

CHEETARA:
We better get going.

I don't imagine those Thunderians have
much time left in that space capsule.

LION-O:
Let's go, Bengali.

If we don't find more Thundrillium
within 24 hours...

...Cats' Lair will be powerless.

MUMM-RA:
I have a feeling...

...the Thundercats' time
on New Thundera is running out...

...my putrid pet.

[MUMM-RA LAUGHS]

We'll check out this old mine.

It may still have some Thundrillium veins
worth excavating.

BENGALI:
Be extremely careful in here.

This blue rock is Thunderstone
and it's highly expl*sive.

BENGALI:
What's that up there?

SNARFER:
Why don't I take a closer look?

BENGALI: Snarfer. Snarfer, be careful.
Don't go too--

[SNARFER YELLS]

[GRUNTING]

[RUMBLING AND SNARF REOWS]

Hold on, Snarf.

[SNARF REOWS]

SNARF:
Holy Jaga, what was that?

The sword, Snarf. There's danger.

Sword of Omens,
give me sight beyond sight.

LION-O: Bengali and Snarfer are trapped
in Thunderstone Mountain.

Let's go.

[RUMBLING AND YELLING]

It's useless, Bengali. Yup, useless.

EGBERT: Well, this whole thing
is going to come down on top of us.

Don't panic, Egbert.
Everything will be okay.

Let's not alarm the others, Snarfer.

But I'm more worried
about running out of air in here...

...than I am about the roof caving in.

Running out of air?

Shh.

How much longer
do you think we've got?

Your guess is probably
better than mine, Snarfer.

You're the one that studied
these things at Snarf College.

We'll just have to hope Lion-O and Snarf
heard the expl*si*n...

...and come looking for us.

They're trapped
behind those rocks, Snarf.

Quick, Lion-0,
use the sword to blast them out.

I can't do that, Snarf.
This is Thunderstone.

LION-O: As you should know, it's very
unstable and highly expl*sive rock.

LION-O:
If I were to try and blast it...

...it would start a chain reaction
that could level this entire area.

No, Snarf. We need the ThunderTank
to clear this away.

And we don't have enough fuel to run it.
Snarf, snarf.

So everything depends
on us finding Thundrillium.

SNARF [REOWS]:
This is hopeless, Lion-0.

[SNARF YOWLS]

-Don't be so jittery, Snarf.
-Easy for you to say.

Come on, now.
It's time to show some courage and--

Lion-O!

Snarf!

[SNARF YOWLS]

LION-O [LAUGHS]: There are easier ways
down this mountain, Snarf.

Yeah, reow, but none quicker.

Well, brrr, let's get on with it.

[SNARF REOWS]

-What is it?
-Over there. Some kind of light.

It's dazzling.

It's brilliant.

Lion-O, where are you going?

Snarf, snarf. Wait for me.

Nice work, Snarf. It looks like
you've found the Thundrillium we need.

I did? Yeah, I did.

Bah!

How is it that each time I seem to have
the Thundercats on the rack...

...they luck out?

But I will find a way...

...to turn your blasted Thundrillium
into Thundranium.

Yes, that is TombTown, Ma-Mutt.

The final resting place
of the ancient wizards and witches.

And there, Ma-Mutt, is MalCar...

...the most powerful alchemist
of all time.

[LAUGHS] He could turn stones
into diamonds, iron into gold.

And he can certainly turn
Thundrillium...

...into Thundranium.

[MUMM-RA LAUGHS MANIACALLY]

Now, the only problem...

...is to bring MalCar into our time.

Ancient spirits of evil...

...give new life...

...to MalCar the Alchemist.

Bring him to us...

...from his resting place in TombTown.

Why, you're nothing
but a decrepit old wizard.

Surely you must have known
that I would return to life...

...in the same form in which I left.

[MUMM-RA GROANS]

I've got to find some way
to make you younger...

...to revive your powers.

MUMM-RA:
What can I do?

How should 1?

Aha, younger!

The Canyons Of Youth.
Why didn't I think of that before?

Come, MalCar.

Ancient spirits of evil...

...take this decrepit fool...

...to the Canyons Of Youth.

[MUMM-RA LAUGHS MANIACALLY]

MUMM-RA: Just a few moments
in the Canyons Of Youth, Ma-Mutt...

...and MalCar the Alchemist
will return to the age...

...at which he was
at his most powerful.

The age at which
it will be a piece of cake...

...to turn those miserable Thundercats'
previous Thundrillium...

...into the one substance
they cannot survive.

[MUMM-RA LAUGHS]

Thundranium!

[MUMM-RA LAUGHS]

Reow, wait a minute, Bengali.

If you move this boulder,
then that boulder will fall...

...and then we'll never
get out of here.

BENGALI:
You're right, Snarfer.

I'd better rest.

What is taking so long, MalCar?

Patience, Mumm-Ra.

This is the Alchemist's Orb of Oro.

It will convert iron to gold,
stones to diamonds.

And, for you...

...Thundrillium into Thundranium.

[MALCAR LAUGHS]

[LION-O AND SNARF GRUNT]

This is the toughest rock
I've ever tried to work.

We're nowhere near
having enough Thundrillium...

...to fire up the ThunderTank
and rescue our friends.

Then we'll just
have to work harder, Snarf.

MALCAR: Your efforts are futile,
lord of the Thundercats.

[MALCAR LAUGHS]

Who are you?

I don't mean to be rude,
but I don't have time to waste.

[LAUGHS]
You have never spoken a truer word.

-Reow, Lion-0O, I don't like this.
-Keep working, Snarf.

Reow. Lion-O!

What is this? Who are you?

The Thundrillium's changing--

To Thundranium.

[MALCAR LAUGHS]

[LION-O GROANS
AND MALCAR LAUGHS]

You're finished, Lion-O.

The Thundercat never lived...

...who could resist
the power of Thundranium.

[MALCAR LAUGHS]

Thunder, ugh, thunder....

Lion-0O. Lion-0.

I guess you don't know that
Thundranium doesn't affect us Snarfs.

[SNARF SNARLS]

JAGA:
Courage, Lion-0.

Jaga, I am so weak.
The Thundranium has drained me.

Then we must trust
in the Sword of Omens, Lion-0.

What kind of magic...?

What the--?

LION-O:
Jaga, you've saved me.

Not yet, Lion-O.
MalCar is indeed a powerful alchemist.

No!

I'm-- No!

This sorcery is too powerful for me.

MalCar is getting older.

MUMM-RA: We must return him
to the Canyons Of Youth.

Ancient spirits of evil,
return MalCar to the Canyons Of Youth.

MUMM-RA:
Make him even more potent than before.

[LION-O MOANS]

Jaga?

I must put a stop to this.

Reow. Lion-0.

Over here, Lion-0. Help!

Uh, take it easy, Snarf.
I'll get you out of there.

[SNARFER GROANS]

Don't give up, Snarfer. Keep fighting.

I think we have
just enough Thundrillium here...

...to give the ThunderTank the power
to free Bengali and Snarfer.

h*!

I'll meet you at the cave, Snarf. h*!

[MALCAR LAUGHS]

I feel my powers returning.

A few minutes and MalCar
will regain all his strength.

JAGA:
Don't be too sure of that, Mumm-Ra.

Get him, Ma-Mutt.

Stay.

[MA-MUTT YELPS]

You'll pay for that, Jaga.

MUMM-RA:
Ancient spirits of evil, transform.

Through the might
of the Thundercats...

...you will remain
an enfeebled relic of past evil.

[MUMM-RA GROANS]

Now, Mumm-Ra, now!

Bring me to your pyramid.

I am at the peak of my power.

You cannot keep me
from my destiny, Jaga.

Ancient spirits of evil....

[BENGALI GRUNTS]

Lion-0, where are you?

Jump in, Snarf.

Your powers are waning, Jaga.

See, you can delay
my transformation...

...but you cannot prevent it.

I believe I have achieved my aim,
Mumm-Ra.

MUMM-RA:
What aim?

JAGA:
Look into the cauldron.

What--? No!

MalCar.

Mumm-Ra, what are you doing to me?

Save me, you miserable mummy.

You have destroyed MalCar's power.

Now I will destroy you.

In another life, perhaps, Mumm-Ra,
but on New Thundera?

Never.

[MUMM-RA SNARLS]

You stop hanging around
and do something, Ma-Mutt.

[MA-MUTT YELPS]

The.... The ThunderTank.

Lion-O, look out!

Thunder, thunder, thunder.
Thundercats, h*!

-Bengali.
-Ah, fresh air.

Snarfer, are you all right? Snarf, snarf.

Yup. Right as rain, unc.
You bet, I'll say.

Yep, yep. Never gladder to see you.

[SNARFER SIGHS]

[MALCAR BABY TALKS INDISTINCTLY]

[MALCAR CRIES]

Well, here are our new refugees,
safe and sound.

CHEETARA: Two successful
missions accomplished, I'd say.

PANTHRO:
These are the friends I told you about.

PANTHRO:
Lion-O, Bengali, Snarf and Snarfer.

And this is the little fellow
we told you about. MalCar.

He gave us quite a bit of trouble
for a while.

But I soon cleared it up.

We'll give him a good home.

I know you will.

The little fellow doesn't know
how lucky he is.

A secure home and loving parents
will make sure he grows up...

...to be a good Thunderian this time.

Right. But do me a favor.

Don't teach him any magic.

[EVERYONE LAUGHS]
