[MUSIC PLAYING]
-Good morning ladies
and gentlemen.
I'm Howie.
Welcome to Bobby's
World, and we've
got quite a show lined
up for you today.
Yessiree.
Everybody here ready?
You at home, you watching?
OK, let the show begin!
[MUSIC PLAYING]
[COUGHING]
[SCREAMING]
Hey Bobby, what
are you afraid of?
It's just me!
Read my lips, I'm just getting
ready to do spring cleaning!
BOBBY [IN CUPBOARD]: There's
an alien in the garage!
Roger, no!
It might not be him.
Aliens are really good at
disguising their voices.
-OK, OK, OK, OK.
Don't panic.
OK everything's under
control, just stay calm.
OK you know the only way
to calm down a cartoon kid
is with a cartoon dad.
And I'm going to
change-- just stay calm,
I'll change into one.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Bobby it's OK!
It's me, it's dad!
I'm not an alien, I'm a--
[SCREAMING]
-It's not alien.
It's monsters!
It's morning, what are monsters
and aliens doing up now?
[THEME MUSIC]
-Watch out world!
I'm finished cleaning
out the garage,
and I'm ready to get out on
the golf course and break 100.
Kelly, Derek, if you
want a ride to the mall
you'd better get a move on!
-Yeah!
New high-tops, a pair of
totally awesome socks,
some really k*ller shades.
Wow I'm going to be
shopping like for hours.
I can't wait.
-Where are you going, Derek?
-To see Attack of the k*ller
Slime Things at the Cineplex.
-Can I go?
-Sure.
-Yay!
-But not with me.
-Boy that was really
nice of him to let me go.
Hey I better go tell mom that
Derek said it was OK for me
to go to the movies by myself.
-Now just hold on a
sec, not so fast there.
Well now goodness gracious
where in the world
does everybody
think they're going?
You know we have
spring cleaning to do.
-We do?
How did the spring get dirty?
-Oh Martha, I already
took care of the garage.
Can't we leave the
house to later?
-Yeah, like what's the rush?
-It's practically still winter.
-Oh but kids, you know spring's
right around the corner.
And gee golly this family's
going to be ready for it.
-It is?
-We're going to scrub this
house from top to bottom.
And we're going to make
it sing, don't ya know?
-A singing house?
[HOUSE SINGING OPERA]
MARTHA GENERIC [OFFSCREEN]: Oh
there will be plenty of time
to play later, after we
finish cleaning the house!
Now Kelly, you wash the windows.
-Great.
Like there goes my manicure.
-And Howard you
clean out the attic.
And Derek you'll do the laundry.
-I always have to
do the laundry.
Make Bobby do it.
You'd like to do the
laundry, wouldn't you?
-I, I guess so.
-Oh no you don't there.
I need Bobby.
He's going to be my special
spring cleaning helper.
-That sounds nice Mom.
But I still think seeing
Attack of the k*ller
Slime Things alone
would be better.
-There you go now Bobby.
This will make you feel
all ready to help me
with spring cleaning
now won't it?
-Yep!
MARTHA GENERIC [OFFSCREEN]: Well
you know like grandma always
used to say, if you want to
Generic man to do a job right,
you've got to give
him the right tools.
-Mom called me a man.
-Oh I love spring cleaning.
It's a great time to get rid of
all your junk, don't you know.
-Would a big lump
of scuz be junk?
MARTHA GENERIC
[OFFSCREEN]: Oh scuz?
Oh sure, I should say so.
-Moms like throwing
their old junk away,
that way they have more
room for their new junk!
MARTHA GENERIC
[OFFSCREEN]: Oh no!
I can't believe it,
one of them is gone.
-I know mom's cry
about weird stuff,
but I never saw one cry
about a lump of scuz before.
-My family heirlooms!
The fuzzy slippers that
have been inherited
by Generic brides
for generations.
Your father gave them to
me on our wedding day.
-Oops.
Don't worry mom.
I know where to find
your ratty fuzz!
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Uh oh, the lump of scuz is gone!
It's not under the bed.
Or the dresser.
Or the chair.
Where did it go?
Is there anything down here
that looks like a lump of scuz?
-Everything down here
looks like a lump of scuz.
Now beat it, dork!
-I don't have time to
play peek-a-boo now,
I have scuz to find!
If I ever get to
be a big brother
I'm going to be nicer to me.
Well, most of the time.
Dad, have you seen a--
-What a beauty!
Now this is a radio.
-Now it is?
What was it before?
-I was the last kid on
the block to get a stereo.
I used to listen to this
old thing for hours.
All this great rock
and roll on AM and FM.
-Amen and FM?
-Lots of times I'd spent all day
just listening to The Beatles.
That's when they were big.
Oh, forget big they were huge!
-The beetles were huge?
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Oh no!
Giant, huge beetles!
Help!
I need somebody,
not just anybody!
-Don't worry Bobby,
he won't hurt you.
He loves you!
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
-Captain Squash!
How did you get here?
-I came in through
the bathroom window!
Sorry to be late, I was
busy saving Eleanor Rigby.
-Boy, am I glad to see
you, Captain Squash.
It's been a hard day's night.
-Grandpa Generic used
to spend a lot of time
listening to this old radio too.
He was crazy about all those
old-time detective shows.
-Detectives?
[MUSIC PLAYING]
That was me, Bobby
Generic Private Eye.
I was a tough guy
in a tough business.
I had to be tough.
[KNOCKING ON DOOR]
Look what I landed
for a secretary!
-There's somebody
here to see you.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
-OK so spill it, sister.
What do they want?
-Like, I don't know.
Like I forgot to ask, OK?
Hey!
Well like excuse me for living.
-Oh!
My fuzzy slippers are gone.
Oh please Mr. Generic--
-Generic, mom!
-Right.
Generic.
Do you think you
can find it for me?
-Lady I can find ice
cubes in the Sahara.
I'm Bobby Generic, the greatest
gumshoe there ever was.
-Oh boy, those old-time private
eyes were really something.
They put clues together like
the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.
-I thought you were supposed
to put them in the closet?
-Clues Bobby, not clothes!
-This looks like a clue!
-There you are.
Now I've been looking
all over for you Bobby.
We've got all kinds of things
to clean don't you know.
Now you go ahead and dust
while I vacuum the rug.
Oh gee golly, we
sure have it easier
than they did in the
old days you know.
Why in great grandma Generic's
day she had to beat her rugs!
-She did?
[MUSIC PLAYING]
RACE ANNOUNCER [OFFSCREEN]: On
your marks, get set, and go!
[MUSIC PLAYING]
-What in tarnation was that?
-The rat race.
-Bobby.
Bobby?
Now be a good boy
and dust the table
over by the love seats for me.
-The love seats?
-Oh, well I'd dust
the table myself
but I'm just too
upset right now.
All I can think
about is that I've
lost one of my fuzzy slippers!
-Oh don't cry mommy.
I can find it for
you, I know I can!
I hope I can.
-Hey honey, look what I
found in the attic, huh?
-Oh well for crying in the
mud, don't you look handsome!
-Oh your old dad really
wowed them in this outfit!
I was Smee the
Pirate in the Hoover
High production of Peter Pan.
Hardy har har!
-Pirates?
[MUSIC PLAYING]
-No, no, no.
Not my pride and joy.
Not the Generic fuzzy slippers!
-Hardy har har!
-Help!
Help!
-Never fear!
Bobby the Good Pirate is here!
-Oh thank goodness!
[MUSIC PLAYING]
-Wait here while I reclaim
the fuzzy slippers!
[SHOUTING]
[MUSIC PLAYING]
-Hand over the
generic fuzzy slipper!
-That's Generic.
-I know.
Or meet they doom, brigand!
-I really can't see
what you're after here!
MARTHA GENERIC
[OFFSCREEN]: Oh now Bobby
for goodness sake's be careful.
Criminiddly honey,
you're going to break
all of mommy's Elvis
salt and pepper set!
I just don't think
I could stand losing
another one of my most
precious possessions.
-I've got to get
mom's slipper back!
But Derek, I need
you to help me.
I lost mommy's fuzzy slipper
and I've got to find it.
Please, Derek?
-You need my help, huh?
OK, you got it.
-Yay!
-I'd better to get
over to the Cineplex.
Mom's slipper is
probably over there now!
-It is?
-Sure.
Mom's had the
windows open all day.
A gust of wind probably blew
her slipper through one of them
and right into the Cineplex!
-He must think
I'm really stupid.
Mom's slipper couldn't blow out
the window into the Cineplex,
the Cineplex doesn't
have windows!
Oh I forgot, I should
put soap in too!
Mom always says I need a lot
of soap when I take a bath.
[WASHING MACHINE]
-I'd better start looking
for mom's slipper again!
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Mommy!
Mommy!
Help!
Help!
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Mommy, help!
-Oh holy toledo!
What happened in here?
-Mommy I fed the washing machine
some soap and then it got sick
and then, and then it
threw up and then--
-Oh honey, now
there, there you go.
Now Bobby just don't cry here.
Everything's going to be
just fine, you'll see.
Now just be a good boy
and take those boxes down
to the basement for me, while
I clean up a little here.
-The basement?
[MUSIC PLAYING]
It's, it's OK Webbly.
Don't, don't be scared!
[MUSIC PLAYING]
[SCREAMING]
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Uh oh Webbly.
Mom's boxes are
going to get all wet.
Water!
Things shrink in hot water!
BOBBY [VOICEOVER]: It began as
so many other catastrophes have
begun, as a common
household accident.
And what started as a
leak in a hot water heater
ended in disaster!
[MUSIC PLAYING]
-Help!
I'm shrinking!
[MUSIC PLAYING]
[SPIDER GROWLING]
BOBBY [VOICEOVER]: All I
could think about was finding
a way to survive this nightmare!
[MUSIC PLAYING]
I could feel the cold fingers
of death on the back of my neck.
My heart was pounding
like a jackhammer.
My brain felt like
it was on fire.
I knew this was it.
Only one of us was going
to walk away alive.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
All of a sudden it didn't look
like it was going to be me.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
-Good work Webbly!
-Oh honey you were so
brave, bringing these boxes
down here for me don't you know.
You know I know how scared
you are of the basement.
-Aw it wasn't so bad.
[SCREAMING]
Look Webbly, more clues!
[BIRDS CHIRPING]
Roger!
[ROGER BARKING]
Roger wait, come back!
-Whoa!
Whose idea was it
to get that dog?
-Sorry dad!
Roger!
You were going to bury
mom's pride and joy?
[ROGER BARKING]
-Bobby!
I can't believe this, you
found my fuzzy slipper!
Oh Bobby, you're my little
hero don't you know?
-Isn't it neat how great
mom's can make you feel?
[MUSIC PLAYING]
-I love to sweep!
I love to sweep!
Because it makes me feel great!
Oh Bobby, did you finish helping
mom with spring cleaning?
-Yep!
She said I was the best
special helper she ever had.
-Did you mind not getting to
go to the movies by yourself?
-Well sorta.
But I still got to see
a lot of exciting stuff.
Floods and giant
beetles and pirates.
It was fun!
-See?
With the right attitude
anything can be fun!
Chores, spring cleaning,
getting carsick.
Getting carsick.
Oh!
I'm late.
Well we'd better get
going, see you later!
