05x03 - Harry Takes a Powder

Post by bunniefuu »

-Hi, everybody, and welcome to
Bobby's World, and that-- Ah!
There's a spider!

There's a spider!

-Well, don't worry.

That's only Philip the Spider.

And I told him to come by to
sing a song to open the show.
-Well, Bobby, that's silly.

Everybody knows that
spiders don't sing.
-I didn't know that.

OK, Philip, then just do a poem.

-It would be my
pleasure, Master Bobby.
Ahem.

I have eight legs,
but not even one toe.
This is my poem
to start the show.
[APPLAUSE]

[THEME MUSIC]

-And that's the story of
the little train that could.
[BELL RINGING]

[SHOUTING]

-Wait, children!

Someone needs to take Harry
home over the long weekend!
[SHOES SQUEALING]

[SHOUTING]

-Since Jackie is going to be
taking a trip with her family,
we need a volunteer to take over
her duties as hamster monitor.
-Me!

-Me!

-Now, let me see.

Amanda?

Oh, no.

Your mother has allergies.

Steven?

Oh, no.

Your family has all those cats.

Hmm.

-Me!

Me!

Choose me!

[STRAINING]

-I know who to pick.

Bobby Generic.

-The winner!

Yay!

[BELL RINGING]

-The winner!

[CROWD CHEERING]

-Nope.

Sorry.

I don't see it.

It's not going to work.

Bobby's not responsible enough
to take take care of Harry
for a whole weekend, Mrs. Orzo.

-I am too sponsible
enough, Jackie.
-Are not.

-Are too.

-Are not.

-Are not.

-Um, too--

-See, got you.

I am too.

I really can take good
care of Harry, Mrs. Orzo.
I promise.

Promise.

-Oh, that's good
enough for me, Bobby.
I believe you.

Don't worry, Jackie.

I'm sure that Bobby
and Harry will
get along just fine together.

-If you say so, Mrs. Orzo.

-All right, children.

We'll see you next week.

-Not so fast, Bobby.

Taking care of a hamster
is no walk in the park.
There are a lot of
things you need to know.
-Gotta go.

-Harry likes you to
sing him to sleep.
Mary Had a Little Lamb
is his favorite song.
And when you feed him, don't
give him too much lettuce.
It gives him gas.

And he doesn't like--

-Stop!

There's my house.

I gotta get out there.

-Bobby, wait.

There's more stuff
I need to tell you.
I didn't tell you about
his exercise schedule yet.
-Phew!

That was close!

-And his favorite game
is sawdust hide and seek.
-Yikes!

-And he likes to sleep with the
light on and always be sure his
water is at exactly
room temperature and--
-Mom!

Mom!

Mom!

Mrs. Orzo picked me
to take Harry home!
We get to keep him
the whole weekend.
-Well, isn't that the best
news since sliced bread.
[BURP]

-Big whoop.

The dweeb gets to
babysit a stupid hamster.
-Derek.

Big whoop?

Be nice to your
brother there now yet.
-Mrs. Orzo said that being
substitute hamster monitor
is a big honor.

Yeah.

-Well, then I'm proud as a
punch bowl, don't you know.
-Mrs. Orzo says she trusts me.

-And of course she trusts you.

Taking care of Harry
is a very important job
for a little mansie.

BOBBY [VOICEOVER]: What
a great-looking cage.
Boy.

Could we have some fun if
I could fit in there, too.
[HAMSTER SQUEAKING]

-Woohoo!

Whee!

Look at that car!

And the-- and the plane!

Yeah, there's a car and a plane.

And an Erector set.

A car and a plane and an--
geez, Harry, what a-- wow.
I can see Kelly from here.

K-K-Kelly?

[SCREAMING]

-Oh, gross!

A rat in a cage!

I am not coming out
of my room until it
is, like, totally
out of this house.
-What do you say, Mom?

Can we keep Harry forever?

-Oh, middle-man Derek.

Why don't you take Harry
to your room, Bobby?
And for love or money,
don't let Kelly see him.
-OK, Mom!

Come on, Harry.

My room is not as cool as
yours, but I call it home.
Run, Harry, Run!

Jump, Harry, Jump!

MOM: Bobby?

Are you ready for bed?

-Yes, Mom.

Oh, no you don't.

Harry, where'd you go?

Oh, there you are.

-Whoops.

Bedtime, Bobby.

Tomorrow's a big day.

-It-- it is?

Oh-- oh yeah!

The pool party with Uncle Ted!

Night, Mom.

MOM: Night, Bobby Buzz Buzz.

-Night, Harry.

Look, he's sleeping.

[COOING]

[WHISTLE BLOWING]

-Uncle Ted!

-Come on, Bobbo!

Time's a-wasting!

Let's party!

The pool's all set up.

-Yay!

[CHILDREN PLAYING]

UNCLE TED: Swim with a buddy!

-Yay!

I need a buddy!

-Oh, oh, oh.

Hang your horses up there,
now Mr. Party Animal.
Did you remember to clean out
Harry's cage like you promised?
-No.

I forgot.

There you go, Harry.

Clean as a whistle.

Whatever that means.

MOM: Oh, Bobby!

Did you remember to give
Harry some fresh water?
-Uh-- uh-- crap.

MOM: Oh, oh, oh,
wait now there yet.
Did you remember to give him
some of that kibble food?
-Stupid hamster.

Cannonball!

MOM: And you closed the
cage door good and tight
so Harry can't escape
and get lost, right?
-Uh-oh.

Am I in trouble?

Gadzooks!

[DOG SNORING]

-He- he-- he's gone!

[KNOCK ON DOOR]

-Hon?

Is everything all right?

-Uh, oh, y-- y-- yeah.

F-fine.

Fine.

-OK.

Come on out to the
pool party then now.
You've earned it.

-OK.

OK.

Um, just a-- just a
minute, Mom, because I,
uh, I forgot to, uh-- uh--

[HAMSTER SQUEAKING]

-Oh, come on.

You're missing all the
excitement, for corn's sakes.
-I got him!

I'll be right-- see ya!

[HAMSTER SQUEAKING]

[DOG BARKING]

-Come back, Harry.

Come back!

Get him, Roger!

[DOG BARKING]

-No!

No, Roger!

Don't get him!

Oh!

It's going to be OK.

Yeah.

It's going to be OK.

He's going to-- he's
going to be somewhere.
I-- I can find him.

When I say stuff out loud,
it sounds better than
when I just think
it inside my head.
[DOOR SLAMMING OPEN]

-Oh!

J-J-Jackie!

What are you doing here, huh?

-My Aunt Anna told my
mom that she thought
Elvis was a fat hick who
couldn't carry a tune.
You know how my mom
feels about Elvis.
She made us come home early.

I want to see Harry.

-Who?

-Harry.

I want to make sure you're
taking good care of him, Bobby.
-No!

I mean-- I mean-- you
can't look at him,
because he's-- because-- because
he's-- because he's resting.
I think he's resting.

Yeah.

-I don't care.

I want to see.

[GASP]

-Where's Harry?

-There?

-That's not Harry.

It's a sock.

-Well, it's not a sock.

That's Harry.

-Bobby Generic, I know
a sock when I see one
and I'm looking
at one right now.
-No, no!

That-- that's Harry.

I know that's Harry and he's--
he's just rest-- he's resting.
He's just a really tired
honest heat sleeping--
-Oh, yeah, Bobby Generic?

Well, I'm going to wake him up.

Wake up, Harry!

-Look!

See?

There.

He moved.

-No, he didn't.

-Yeah-- yeah, he did.

-No he didn't.

You pushed the cage.

Harry's dead, isn't he, Bobby?

He's dead, dead, dead!

-He is not dead, Jackie.

He's-- he's just lost.

-Lost?

Do you know what can happen
to a hamster out there alone?
[THUNDER]

-I'm going to tell your parents.

-Tell parents?

-Look, Leonard.

It's that nice Bobby Generic.

-That's GEN-er-ic.

-Oh, come in, Bobby, come in.

-What can I get you, dear?

Cookies?

Candies?

Kibble?

-No, thank you,
Mrs. Harry's Mother.
Um, you-- you-- you
haven't-- you haven't seen
Harry by any chance, have you?

Because I-- I think
he might be lost.
-Lost?

He was supposed to be with you.

[SOBBING]

-We trusted you to be sponsible!

-Our son is lost,
and we blame you!
You!

You!

You!

-I'm sorry!

I'll find him!

I promise!

Wha-- what's that?

Harry, wait!

Mom!

Mom!

Stop!

-Can't hear you, hon.

-Mom, stop vacuuming!

Let me do it!

I want to do it!

I'm sponsible!

You go!

I'll do!

Please?

-Well, you're every
mother's dream, is all.
-Harry!

[HAMSTER SQUEAKING]

-No!

No, no, no you don't!

I got you!

-Excuse me?

Like, exactly what is going on?

Ew!

Bobby, like, ugh, you
are the most disgusting--
what are you doing?

-I'm-- I'm-- I'm-- helping
Mom with the laundry?
[SCREAMING]

-Rat!

[SCREAMING]

-Kelly!

Harry!

Wait!

This being sponsible stuff?

Starting to be no fun.

MOM: Oh, time to stop up
and think about lunch, hon.
How about some chicken and--

[SCREAMING]

-What's all the ruckus?

What's going on?

-Are you OK?

Are you all right?

-A rat, Howard.

A big hairy one.

I felt it run over my foot.

-Now, there's a swoon.

-Ahh, rats!

Like, ahh!

Did I hear somebody say rats?

Oh, gross.

Like, they are all
over the house now.
Hello?

Get me the exterminators.

Totally Quick.

-No!

Not the sterminators!

What are sterminators?

[DOORBELL RINGING]

-Hi.

Meeker and Snurd.

-Yep.

Rat exterminators.

-Oh yeah.

You spot them--

-We snuff them.

-Gadzooks!

They're going to snuff Harry!

-You might want to take the
women and children outside.
-Oh, yeah.

Exterminating's a man's game.

It's messy.

Ready, Meeker?

They're

-Ready, Snurd.

And remember, the only
good rat is a dead rat.
-Stop!

Don't!

We don't have any rats.

All-- all we have is a Harry.

He-- he-- he's a hamster.

I lefted his cage open and
now-- and now he's lost.
-Oh, Bobby.

For corn's sakes.

-Not to worry, ma'am.

We've got everything
under control.
-Absoluteamente.

Before we were Meeker and Snurd,
Rat Exterminators, we were--
-Meeker and Snurd,
Finders of Lost Pets.
-Bingo.

You were?

Does that mean you
can find Harry?
-Golly, don't see
why not, Robert.
Found a worm once on
the bottom of my shoe.
-We weren't really looking
for the worm, sonny,
but there it was.

[SCREAMING AND PLAYING]

-Gotcha!

-Or not.

I can't see.

-Oh, I've got more apologies
than Carter's got liver pills.
Oh, I can't express to you.

-I'm so sorry.

-Me, too.

[HAMSTER SQUEAKING]

-I'm not-- I'm blind.

-I can't see that stuff.

-I can't see anything.

-No, I'm-- lead me.

[HAMSTER SQUEAKING]

-Oh!

-I chipped a tooth.

-Oh, buck up, Bobbo.

They're going to find
your little hamster.
-But-- but what if
they don't, Uncle Ted?
I'll have to tell Mrs.
Orzo that I lost Harry,
and she'll never trust me again.

-Now, you know,
Bobbo, I lost my class
hamster when I was
about your age.
Now, all you got to
do is what I did.
Just buy another hamster
and palm it off as Harry.
It's simple as that.

Done.

-Yeah.

Simple as that.

[CHILDREN LAUGHING]

-Hey, what's with
all the crying?
Somebody knock off Barney?

-Nah.

Every time there's
a three-day weekend,
we get a run on hamsters.

So, little man, what
can I do for you?
-One hamster, please.

Brown, fluffy, and this big.

-There you go, kid.

-That-- that's not a hamster.

That's a-- that's a bunny.

-You noticed.

Sorry, kid.

We're out.

This rabbit's all I got left.

Take it or leave it.

-Hey, Bobbo, it's no problem.

They both eat lettuce and
drink water from a bottle.
And, uh, look.

In the right light,
who's going to know?
-Come on, bunny.

Run!

You can do it.

Come on.

If you run, I'll
give you a carrot.
Aw, forget it.

Uncle Ted's wrong.

Nobody's going to
believe that's Harry.
And now Jackie's going
to hate me forever.
She'll probably never
even speak to me again.
Hmm.

At least there's an upside.

Maybe she'll never
kiss me again, either.
-Bobby?

Hon?

Are you in there?

I have a surprise for you.

-Harry!

You're all right!

Oh, I'm so glad to see you.

I'm sorry I didn't take good
care of you, little buddy.
Jackie was right.

I'm not sponsible.

I promise that from now on I'll
never be not sponsible again.
-Aw.

Isn't he the cutest
thing you ever saw?
Thank you, Mr. Meeker.

Thank you, Mr.-- Snerg, is it?

-Just doing our job, ma'am.

-Yep.

Semper Fi.

-Ditto.

-Mommy!

Mommy!

Mommy!

Now that we found Harry,
can I keep the bunny, too?
-Well, I don't see why not.

As long as you promise to
give him food and water
and see that the case
is closed good and tight
so he can't escape and get lost.

-Uh-oh.

Something tells
me that I am never
ever going to get to
go swimming today.
-Boy, Bobby, this show really
reminded me about the time
my friend Steve
went to Cleveland
for a week-- actually,
just outside of Cleveland--
and he wanted me to look
after his rhinoceros, Bill.
And so I take Bill
home and I leave him
in my apartment in
the living room,
right beside the credenza.

That I go into the
bedroom, of course,
because I have to fill
all the pillows with meat.
And then when I come
out, Bill's gone.
-Uh-huh.

-Now, I'm thinking, I've
known Steve a long time,
and he's the kind of guy--
he's going to feel bad
if you lose his rhinoceros Bill.

But luckily, I found him.

He was behind the couch.

-Uh-huh.

Oh, you-- you're kidding, right?

-OK, you got me.

-I knew it.

-Right.

I was actually in
the bedroom filling
the pillows with vegetables.
