Xavier, azah, and big d, they were all in the cookout,

United by a common goal, but they took

Three very different paths to make it to finale night.

So how did they become the final three?

They'll tell us in their own words.

But first, xavier entered the "big brother" house

With a secret identity, telling everyone

But what was the secret that got him to the final three?

- Coming into this game, I knew that people might want

I'm xavier and I'm a bartender

I feel if I didn't conceal my identity from the rest of

The houseguests, I wouldn'’t have made it this far.

I need to do everything in my power to minimize my threat.

There'’s a lot of lovely ladies who were in the "“big brother"”

House this summer but they couldn't come before

What I was trying to accomplish.

- You're the only person I trust like, completely.

So I'm going to do whatever you tell me to do.

- The best way to get protection in

The "big brother" house is through alliances.

So I made a final two with big d on day one--

- And I'’mma follow your lead.

- And week one frenchie invited me into the slaughterhouse.

- I always wanted to find people that are like,

Competitors. We can call it the slaughterhouse.

- And then of course, I was a part of the royal flush,

Which was a combination of the former queen's team,

The former king's team, and derek x from the aces.

- A royal flush has ace, kings and queens.

- I like royal flush actually.

But the most important alliance I joined

Was none other than the cookout.

All right. Good. I like that. - Cookout, I like that.

- That's for the culture. - Mm-hm.

- The cookout.

As a black man in america, the mission of the cookout

Was extremely important to me because representation matters.

Our mission was to make sure that "big brother"

Would crown its first african-american winner.

- Cookout on three.

One, two, three. Cookout.

- I would say I was definitely the glue

That kept the cookout together.

- Ky, can I meet you outside? - Yeah.

- He gettin'’ on your nerves?

- Little bit. - Okay.

- I was able to help the group stay strong,

Stay together and stay focused on the mission at hand.

- I don't know if I told you that she checked me.

- There should be no hostility between any of us.

We'’re all on the same page

And we'’re all playing different games.

I was very strategic when it came to competing

And throwing competitions early on in the game

Was essential to maintaining a low threat level.

- Xavier was first to ring in with wildcard

And that is incorrect.

With the rest of the houseguests that, "“hey, this is

Someone who you can trust whenever they're in power."”

So in week three, I won my first hoh competition.

- The first houseguest I have nominated is...

By targeting brent, it allowed me to gain favor

With the rest of the house and it allowed me to ensure

No member of the cookout was going to go home that week.

- Julie: brent, you are evicted from the "big brother" house.

- But things have not always gone my way

In the "big brother" house this summer.

- The ball has landed on xavier.

You are now nominated for eviction.

Please take a seat in the nomination chair.

- Stupid-a*s chopping block roulette.

Apparently me and the block look good together

Because I saw it four more times throughout the season.

- X and hannah, I'’m going to be nominating you today.

- The key to "big brother" is winning competitions

When you need to.

There were two situations where I was nominated and I won

The golden power of veto to take myself off the block.

Alyssa, you've been my best friend

And one of my closest allies in this game,

But I have to use the power of veto on myself.

Easily one of the hardest things for me this season

Was having to lose alyssa.

From the "big brother" house.

- Even though alyssa had to go in order for the cookout

To make the final six-- - bye alyssa!

- It was still hard to see not only a close ally,

But a very good friend of mine walk out those doors.

- Once we got down to the final six,

It became an individual game.

I already had my final two with big d

Then kyland offered me a final two, which I accepted.

We equally need each other to make it to the final two chairs.

- I want to and I think you want to.

- The gentlemen it is.

With all of these deals in place, it was time

To get out my biggest threat, tiffany.

And I was able to convince kyland to target tiffany during

His hoh week-- now let'’s go, worst-case scenario.

- Yeah.

- We lose our numbers if big d goes home.

- Yeah. - That is the--

- That is the risk. - That is the risk with that.

- At the end of the day, I want to make sure that

You and I are getting to the end.

- Yeah.

- The first houseguest I have nominated is...

- Julie: tiffany, you are evicted

From the "big brother" house.

- And since hannah was arguably tiffany's right hand woman,

Unfortunately hannah had to go next.

I vote to evict hannah.

- Julie: by an unanimous vote of -, hannah, you are evicted

From the "big brother" house.

- That set me up so both of my final two'’s with kyland

And big d remained in the final four.

During the final four, not only was I able to win

The final regular hoh of the summer--

- Congratulations xavier, you are the new head of household.

- But I was also able to win the most important

Veto competition of the summer.

Even though kyland promised to take me to the final two,

When it comes down to it, this is the game of "big brother."

Kyland is a big threat.

I had to go with the odds. Which meant kyland had to go.

- If we keep ky, the chances of beating him

Are more difficult.

I think both of us can beat azah in any competition.

- I get that. I get that.

- I was able to convince big d that it was best

For his game to vote kyland out.

- I cast my vote to evict kyland.

- Okay.

- Kyland'’s a big threat.

And when it came time for me to take that shot I took it.

- Everything I've done in my life has been motivated

By family, including this show.

- My desire to win this season is to pay

Homage to my late brother.

My brother passed shortly before I entered

The "big brother" house.

He left behind a son.

I made a promise to my brother when he was still living

That as long as I was around, his son would want

For nothing if I had anything to do about it.

At this stage of the game, losing is not an option.

I've come too far, I've done too much.

I refuse to be denied what I have worked so hard for.

I knew I wasn't the best at comps

The jokers have won.

- And then I joined the cookout which consisted

Of myself, big d, hannah, x, tiffany, and kyland.

Being in the cookout was really good for my game

Because many of the people in the cookout

Made themselves bigger targets than me.

- It turned out it was a good thing I wasn't winning

But we finally had to turn on each other.

However, because I was keeping a low profile,

I wasn't at the top of the hit list.

- But when I thought I might be in trouble

In the second double eviction, I stopped laying low and I beat

Out xavier to win my first hoh - congratulations, azah!

- But targeting her was what I needed to do

To get to the end of this game.

But I did ensure my spot in the final three because of

The relationship I built the entire season with big d

And the goal is simple: hold on to your boat for dear life.

On my go, you will be swung left and right, up and down.

The last houseguest to sail through

This bouncy boat bash and be the last one holding on

Will win part one of this final hoh competition.

Then hold on tight because this competition starts now.

The rules are pretty simple:

I know I'm in a good position where if I do not win this comp,

I do have xavier who will take me to the final two

And I also have azah who will take me to the final two.

But in this game, you have to expect the unexpected.

And I refuse to leave anyone else in charge of my game.

Could be the difference between me potentially winning

I mean, they have kind of been floating through this game.

So I've got my work cut out for me.

- My strategy for this competition is to kind of

Feel out the motion of the boat.

I want to kind of make sure that I'm positioning my body

To the opposite of whatever way the boat is leaning.

That way I can always stay centered on the boat.

- I think my long limbs really help in this competition.

I'm able to grasp as much of the bouncy boat as I can

With both my thighs and my arms.

There'’s no way I'm letting go of this bouncy boat.

I'’m '‘bout to school these fishes.

My strategy to stay on this boat is to move

My weight around, get a feel of the boat,

Make some love to the boat, really get with it.

Let's really ride this boat.

Sharks!

And then out of nowhere, here comes a big a*s shark.

I am scared.

Something is definitely biting my butt.

My fear is I'm fat and there are sharks in this water.

So I'm basically their breakfast,

Lunch, dinner, and their damn dessert.

I hate the [bleeping] water.

Ah, come on!

- The hardest part of this competition is trying

To figure out how to best position yourself

Just so that way you can't potentially slip and fall off.

Between the water and just the boat itself,

This boat is extremely slippery.

One false move and you go crashing to the waves below.

- Is that double the water?

- Yep.

A little bit faster now.

♪♪♪

Whoo!

- I am holding on for dear life.

This water is coming at me at every angle.

And this boat just keeps rocking. That boat is moving.

If I don't get a grip on this boat, these sharks

Are gonna have them a full thanksgiving meal.

We're going to need a bigger bouncy boat.

- Oh, my god! Whoo!

- Big d is straddling while he'’s laying down,

And then he'’s almost, like, crawling up and down it

As it moves.

- Whoo!

- But never quite in the right direction.

And then he'’s making these noises.

- Aahhh! Ha, ha, ha! Oh my gosh!

- "Ooh! Oh no! Ahh, I got it." - Whoo!

- He seems like he is having a good time on this boat.

- Aah!

- It's very frustrating that I did not win this.

I held on so long. I really did try.

I'm a little upset '‘cause I felt like I could have held on

A little bit longer but I cannot beat myself up.

Because this is not the end of derek's game.

I have so much more game left to play.
