Head of Household Daniel and Nicole made a final two.

-...while six of the women formed a first big alliance

-But Paloma, Alyssa, and Ameerah also created a second alliance

with Monte, Kyle, and Michael.

-When someone offers you an alliance, you always say yes.

And who knows? Maybe this could be legit.

-The Backstage twist had Alyssa, Brittany,

and Paloma's games in jeopardy.

-We can't be nominated, we can't play in Veto,

we can't be a replacement nominee,

but we can still go home this week,

So I'm just trying to do my best to keep my calm.

-And Daniel's nominees, Terrence and Taylor,

were also in danger of going home.

-In the past, I'm sure you've seen the old guy go home early,

but this season, we're spinning a whole new record.

You can bet I'll be here after Thursday.

-But then the house received some shocking news...

-Due to a personal matter, Paloma will no longer...

[ Sobbing quietly ]

...Paloma will no longer be continuing

in the "Big Brother" game.

-...which put an end to the Backstage twist.

-Since Paloma was one of the five people in jeopardy

of being eliminated, and she is no longer in the game,

that means, Alyssa and Brittany,

you two are no longer in jeopardy of going home,

and you are both safe tonight.[ Cheers and applause ]

-And the noms got some good news as well.

-Both of you are also safe.

[ Air horn blows ]

-The HouseGuests went to battle to qualify

for the Head of Household Competition.

-Win a race, and you will get the chance

to become the new Head of Household.

-And Michael, Taylor, Monte,

Kyle, Ameerah, Joseph, and Jasmine

all punched their ticket for a chance at power.

But an unexpected twist left Jasmine reeling.

-Aah! -What happened?

or will she compete?

And who will devour power at the messiest fest yet?

All three people I put on the block are still in the house.

So you can imagine how scary it is

going into next week without any safety.

but I do have a strong social game,

and now I just got to go even harder.

With Paloma leaving,

we are calling the alliance "Po's Pack."

She said that's what they called her -- her friends from, like,

kindergarten up -- Po's Pack. -We'll make it to the final six,

and she'll be so proud. -And then we can make it

to the final six, and it's called Po's Pack.

and Nicole fits that bill.

I have a proposition for you.

And to make our odds even better,

are all in the final stages of the HOH Comp.

This week is looking pretty good for me so far.

Luckily, my ankle is not broken. It is sprained.

So all I have to do is just stay off it for a few days.

But I qualified for the HOH Competition.

All I know is I'm not giving up,

and I'm gonna push through and make sure I get the job done.

It's so embarrassing, like the first HOH --

-I'm pretty confident with everyone who's playing.

I feel like I have a pretty good relationship with all of them.

Earlier today, we competed in the first part

of the HOH Competition.

In order to advance to the next round,

you had to beat the HouseGuest that you were up against

in an obstacle course.

So myself, Michael, Monte, Kyle, Jasmine, Ameerah, and Taylor

all will be moving forward

to the second part of the HOH Competition.

I'm just not gonna stress.

Now that I am free from the Backstage Pass,

I am just utilizing it as, like, a total reset.

That mopey Brittany that thought she was going home all the time?

We could have got a better draw on some things,

but not any worse out. -Yeah.

-Taylor was a clear target last week, and she did not go home.

I'm working with the majority of the guys in this house

right now, and it's in my best interest

to keep myself safe and do what I have to do to keep them safe.

Getting Taylor out of the house right now is the best idea

so we don't have to worry about her in a few weeks.

Just emotional?

-[Sobbing] I just wish I could say hi to my family.

It's hard -- like really hard.

But we'll be your family for now.

-Losing hits me so hard because

I put so much pressure on myself.

So for me, I have to be the strongest one in the family.

I don't want anyone to feel sorry for me.

I just have to focus on surviving first.

I want to take a shot at a big player,

and why not take out one of the alphas?

Of course, Daniel nominated me last week,

and I rarely forgive, and I never forget.

that caused a lot of drama in the house.

So going into this competition, I'm not sure

if she will be looking to put me up on the block.

So I need to last longer than Taylor in this competition

to make sure that she doesn't win.

When you believe you have the correct answer in your mouth,

I thought I really had this comp down.

Once you get a method, you feel pretty confident going forward.

I didn't think there was any way that anybody would knock me out

since I was moving really quickly.

We were all on board, the entire house, to vote her out week one.

You know, and it's something where she was able

to get a second life, and, you know, I'm glad she got to enjoy

another week in the house 'cause I personally like her,

I was feeling really defeated after the first comp,

but I gave it my all.

My dad helped me with this competition,

as a competitor is tough to swallow.

However, I do feel good with Jasmine

based on the deal we made during the competition.

This could be a benefit to my game.

I feel good with Jasmine, and I just won a Veto last week.

and win an HOH right off the bat.

I can tell that she's here to play and play hard.

She's a bigger target than I am, and she's someone

who I think is willing to make big moves

and take shots at some power players.

So I am thrilled that she is still in the game.

Initially, I'm a little uneasy about it,

but I have to trust her.

Her giving me this information reminds me

I am not mad about it at all,

and I'm glad I found out through her than anyone else.

-So your boy Pooch got a little bit of a bold plan this week.

It's in the best interest of myself and the house

to get Taylor out of the game right now,

and the best way to do that is put myself up as a pawn.

Taylor's a really strong competitor,

so if Taylor goes right up on the block,

she's definitely playing for the Veto.

If I go up on the block against someone like Brittany,

Taylor doesn't have a chance to win that Veto.

There's no point to give her a reason to save herself

when we don't need to.

-You put up you and Brittany? -Yeah.

-And then, when one of us win it, or whoever gets picked...

And then we just got to hope that she doesn't get picked.

Any three of us will use it.

And if not, whoever -- like, if I pick Kyle,

Monte will use it, and I think that's the best way.

-The truth is, Taylor was my target.

Taylor is not in the Girls Girls alliance.

And Pooch is nominating himself.

I'll be happy if either of them goes home.

-I guess, if you call me and Brittany up here together

and say, "Hey, my plan is Taylor.

Brittany, if you win the Veto, I want you to use it."

You could even use it on Brittany, too,

And you could tell her that and really do it,

and you keep me up against Taylor,

'cause I feel that confident.

I'll handle the stress of being on.

I think that he thinks that, because he is well-liked,

people are going to keep him around,

which is not the case.

We're all here to win money,

so we're gonna get him out.

I don't trust Pooch as far as I can throw him.

And that ain't very far.

I don't know what he's thinking,

but I'm liking how he's talking,

'cause this might be my opportunity

to get one of the biggest threats out of the house,

and he's volunteering.

This is very hard -- harder than I expected.

I've watched the show before.

It sometimes doesn't go as planned.

you're an easy sell.

from evicting me last week.

-I mean, I would prefer not to be a pawn.

I would not be shocked if I ended up as a pawn.

-I know that you're gonna be uncomfortable,

and I'm blunt, and y'all know this about me,

I feel pretty solid that my read on the house

was actually correct going into this week,

but I am right back in the line of fire

with the potential of going home.

[ Scoffs ] -This only makes sense for me

to put you up as a pawn, but I need you to understand

that you're not the target.

-If your target comes down after Veto.

-Then I'm gonna have to put somebody else up

that would be... -A big shot.

-You know, and obviously, I would have loved to have asked,

but I already knew you would probably be like,

"Hey, I don't feel comfortable," and I get that feeling.

You know what I mean? -Yeah, no one's gonna be

comfortable being a pawn. -Yeah, no one feels comfortable.

But I need this to work,

and it's like I'm counting on you for it to work.

I'm telling Pooch he's my pawn,

but I'm also telling Taylor that she's my pawn.

Neither one of them know who my real target is.

And you know what?

Neither do I 'cause I want both of them gone.

Like, I need to get somebody that's really, like,

a threat to, like, the girls.

-You know, being a pawn is not where I want to be

this early in this game, but I'm really confident

in my abilities to take myself off,

and, you know, if I go up on that block,

these people better believe that this "pawn"

is not the one to go home.

-And it's -- I'm gonna just have to do it.

But I still feel confident.

I know the pawn that feels the best

usually shouldn't feel that good.

But I feel pretty damn good about going to get this Veto.

-Pooch is on the block, and I don't know

whether to laugh or to feel bad for this kid.

If he really thinks he's gonna make it

through this week scott-free, he's got another thing coming.
