around and there were elephants lots of

elephants weird huh well you know what

I'm gonna do it's awesome I'm gonna

follow my dream all I need is for you to

I'll start with the easy stuff first

getting a bunch of elephants and flying

without a plane no problem life was

missing its mystique my squeaky toys

it's lost their squeak and then out of

the blue I saw the phone and bam my

destiny was calling me

want to have the elephant so how does

happy

oh absolutely come with us we will in

turn make me happy because I need an

elephant this is an elephant sanctuary

place is huge

oh this is an elephant barns but it's a

specialized elephant barn for elephants

that live in a natural habitat yen still

have to have a place to come to on cold

winter nights wait a minute why to build

one of those what is this thing this is

an elephant toy really it looks kinda

like a dog toy well if that is sort of

the same thing elephants like to put

their trunks through here like this and

pull on it play with it hit it with

their heads throw it around elephants

like toys well I can share some of my

squeaky toys with my new elephant except

this one our this one so this blue thing

here is a scale so we can keep track of

how much they weigh which is important

because you can see if there's a change

in weight there might be a problem the

elephant may be sick I should probably

write some of this stuff down for ruff

good idea how much doesn't have a way on

average an average Asian elephants weigh

between 8,000 and 10,000 pounds for

females the male's can be up to 12 or

13,000 pounds but also how many times

two thousand pounds in a ton so between

four tons in five times Wow so a female

elephant weighs between four and five

times and 12,000 pound male would weigh

is to prepare elephant diet and the

diets are very different for each

individual we're going to have to mix

some diets for shorter she needs half a

cabbage broccoli onions corn potatoes

carrots and a handful of peas and she

gets some oats and barley so you really

take care of like every individual

elephant like each one has their own

kind of special diet exactly each one

comes with a different level of health

someone come really healthy some come

really malnourished so we have to

accommodate and take care of the

individual needs MA and it's pretty much

a 24-hour a day job 24 hours a day I

only work like an hour tops and then a

little white bucket over there you're

going to put two apples to oranges and

two bananas so we weren't two apples to

oranges and two bananas put them on the

carts over here and then we'll be done

go up against gravity we're just going

to flatten out and get a little bit of

take that surface area and all that wind

we're going to spill them out and let

gravity have its way so let me get it

you have gravity pulling you down and

and air pushing you up so the bigger you

get the more spread out you make your

create the sanctuary so the elephants

can come here and live a more natural

we've actually been here for about 14

and a half years we started off with 100

acres and one elephant 40mm 2,700 acres

and 50 noses Wow so the sanctuary

rescues elephants that have been hurt or

are lonely and gives them a place to

live where they are loved and taken care

of our new elephant social odors I like

to do with others or do like kind of the

rest of us they are herd animal so they

love to be in a group they love to be

around others sewed for their happiness

friends wait friends being friends that

means I need to get more than one ruff
