- Eyes on me, Dance Committee!

I have the most haunting idea for this year's Monster Ball.

Behold! - What?

- What is it? - Is it a vase?

Or a lady?

Or both? - What, [scoffs] no.

Scarabs, show them.

It's Autumn Patch!

- Hey, Squashies!

I've been vining to show you my latest and greatest.

Meet Creeps, the spookiest DJ board in all of monsterdom!

Custom designed and built by yours truly.

Every time I DJ will be a--

- Scream! Scream!

Autumn Patch is my inspo for the Monster Ball.

The dance will have it all-- spooky decor,

delicious treats, our own turntables,

Creeps Junior, and Draculaura DJ-ing!

- Change and flow, bloom and grow!

- Draculaura?

Why are you staring at that bling instead

of your reigning Monster Ball Dance Committee queen?

Moi!

- Sorry, Cleo!

I'm trying to finish my admissions

test for Craft Camp.

- Ooh, love crafts.

Crocheted this last week.

- Scarily artistic, Frankie.

But Craft Camp is for witchcraft.

- And your admissions test is, what, how long

you can stare at that gem?

- [chuckles] Not exactly.

The test is to demonstrate my unique witchy power.

When I do that, the gem glows.

And that means I get to spend the semester

break at Craft Camp, where I'll level up my witchcraft.

- Wow, you're so brave.

First, you teach yourself witchcraft,

even though getting caught means getting expelled.

- [teeth chattering]

- Then, you're so into becoming a better witch

that you risk all the monster stuff you love because you

also really love witchcraft.

- I never thought of it that way.

- So what's your unique witchy power?

I bet it's cool. - Uh!

No idea!

And the deadline's tonight!

- You'll have that gem burning bright in no time.

- Heath's right.

But if you're going to get that glitz to glow,

you gotta focus on it.

- We'll take care of the dance planning.

- Thanks!

I should focus on witchcraft.

So even though I really want to,

I can't DJ the Monster Ball.

Sorry.

- Uh-uh, no.

No apologies necessary.

Go pursue your witchy dreams!

[electronic whirring]

- Oh!

I was so busy following Witchfinder, I wasn't looking.

Here, hold this a minute, would you?

- Um, Witchfinder?

- It's a new iCoffin app that detects witchcraft.

I know how desperate students get

at the end of the semester, and some might turn to witchcraft.

But with this, I'll catch anyone practicing

the forbidden craft.

- Heh. Well, there's definitely

no witchcraft here.

[electronic whirring]

- Hmm, it does seem unlikely.

Well, the app's still in beta.

But the new version should be out soon.

- Ooh, fang-tastic.

Gotta run!

Ahh, this potion's perfect.

Come on, glow.

- [purring, meowing]

- Thanks, Count Fabulous.

But it doesn't look like my unique witchy

power is potion-making.

Any idea what my power is, Codex?

- Not a clue.

The other witches I've been read by quickly

discovered their unique power.

But they were human witches.

Maybe it's different for vampire witches.

- Must be easier for human witches.

They're not witching under the threat of being expelled

or fear of letting down their dads

or some new Witchfinder app!

Ugh!

Can you believe there's an app for that!

- That does make it trickier.

Perhaps the "Truth Revealed" spell on page

will uncover your unique power.

- "Secrets covered deep in shroud, banished shadows

clear the cloud!"

[gasps] Bats?

- [meows]

- [whimpers] Be gone, unwelcome guest most hated,

return where you originated!

Spell fail!

[sighs] I already know I'm a vampire.

So a bunch of bats is not a truth revealed.

Aw, what could my unique power be?

Hmm, maybe I'll take a quick break to clear

the cobwebs from my head.

- Now leap!

Haunt!

Leap!

Haunt!

Uh, I thought you had something non-monstery to do tonight,

which is why I, the new co-head fearleader,

heroically took charge.

- Oh, I-- just wanted to see how

things were going without me.

And it looks like you need a vamp twist.

Leap! Haunt!

[gasps]

Sorry!

I was just trying to join in.

- And we were trying to help you by letting you shine

your witch gem or whatever.

Shouldn't you get back to it and leave us monsters behind?

- Hello, fearleaders.

Don't mind me, I'm just on a witch hunt.

- Ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo, Headmistress,

I think I felt a witchy presence way over there.

- "Witchy feels are bad deals" is the monster motto.

Well done reporting your unfounded suspicions, Toralei.

- As I was saying, shouldn't you get back to it?

- Yes.

Thanks, Toralei.

[sighs] Focus!

Just need the right spell to show my unique witchy power.

[gasps] Uh-huh! This one!

- That spell?

You don't want to do that spell.

- Well, I've tried everything else

except a shapeshifting spell.

Maybe because I'm a shapeshifter

and Count Fabulous is a shapeshifter,

that's my unique witchy power?

It has to be what I need to make this gem glow, right?

- I'm warning you, shapeshifting spells always

go awry.

- Let's see, um, shift my shape, face and body blend.

I want to look like--

let's see, um-- Frankie, my friend!

I'm Toralei?

That's not right!

I said, Frankie, my friend!

How about Lagoona, my friend?

Cleo, my friend?

Eek!

- I won't say "I told you so."

Kidding!

I will absolutely say it.

I told you so!

Oh, I love saying that.

- Oh, caskets.

But speaking of Frankie, maybe they or one of their brains

has some insight.

Hey, Frankie.

Oh, what's all this?

- Just making Creeps Junior for the Monster Ball.

Cleo put me in charge of music since you're busy.

Ah, there's my spooket wrench.

- Ooh, spooky!

Fantastic setup, Frankie.

Guess Cleo really didn't need me to DJ.

[gasps]

- [groaning]

- Oh, sorry!

Are you OK?

- Ah, just a bit lightheaded.

So did you get the gem to glow?

- Not yet.

- Then what are you doing here pushing my buttons?

You don't have long to finish.

- You're right.

I got to focus on my witchcraft.

Bye!

[electricity zaps]

Everyone is helping me figure out my unique witchy power,

but I keep messing up their monster stuff.

- Don't forget that you're also burning moonlight.

- I've read every spell in the book.

But maybe other books will have inspiration!

To the library!

- Oh, sure!

Replace me!

It really dog-ears my pages!

Ugh!

[laughter]

- It's time for puzzle-ology study group?

"The more I work out, the weaker I get.

What am I?"

- Oh, it's so easy.

But I need to focus.

Mm. [chuckles]

- A-- vampire?

No, a bat!

today because of an important admissions test

you were working on?

- I did, and I do need to work on it.

But I love puzzles so much, I didn't want to miss out.

And the answer is cipher.

[electronic whirring]

- Witchcraft in the library?

But no student would dare practice

witchcraft so publicly, not when

they know they'd be expelled.

- Go do the doozy of a gem puzzle, Draculaura.

Study group will still be here next semester.

- But will I?

- Witchfinder updating.

hours remaining!

- What is wrong with me?

Every time I try to find my power,

I end up doing monster stuff.

- My Sigmonster Freud brain thinks

maybe your subconscious doesn't want to go to Craft Camp.

Everyone helped you so you could focus on your gem,

but it's still not glowing.

- And I'm thankful everyone's so supportive

of me pursuing my dream.

But what if going to Craft Camp is how Bloodgood learns

I'm a witch and I get expelled from Monster High

and I lose all my monster things forever

and everyone's fine without me and I'm totally replaced.

- OK, maybe fearleading and dances and puzzle club

would go on without you.

But you can't be replaced.

You're one of a kind, Draculaura.

- If you got expelled, guess you might have

to give up some monster stuff.

But you'll always have the most important

part of being a monster--

your boo crew!

That's me, Clawdeen, Cleo, Deuce, oh,

Lagoona, Ghoulia, oh, Twyla.

- What Frankie's trying to say is,

if you still want to pass that test,

there's time for one more spell.

- [sighs] Here goes nothing.

Swirling darkness, ink-black night--

Ugh, thanks for helping me try.

But I feel like all my spells are just

going into a big black hole.

[whooshing]

both: Ohh!

- Oh, stakes!

I messed up the spell!

- Unmess it!

- But there aren't any witch spells to stop black holes!

- [screams] Then maybe try a non-witch spell!

[both screaming]

- [gasps]

- Yeah, you're the best vampire witch!

- [gasps]

both: Ahh!

- No!

Spark and Howl, come back to Fangs!

Return to me like boomerangs!

Full of friendship, love and life, void of nothing,

take a hike!

- [burps]

- Tater Tyke?

- [growling]

- But more importantly, we're alive!

How'd you do that!

- I'm not sure.

I've never done witchcraft with such force before.

Maybe doing the spell with my bat wings changes things.

- A witchy bat vamp is totally unique.

And, Draculaura, look!

- [squeals] My unique witchy power!

I did it!

- You have been accepted to Craft Camp.

Details to follow. Goodbye.

- What happened?

I can't see a thing from in here.

- Codex!

That "Truth Revealed" spell was right, in a way.

I found my unique witchy power by putting my monster

side into witchcraft.

- Congratulations!

And by the way, my spells are never wrong.

Speaking of-- those bats are back.
