01x08 - It Started on Yancy Street

Post by bunniefuu »

Okay, Ben. The antsy street g*ng

challenged us and we're here. So where

are they?I still say we should have

ignored their challenge. They're only old

rivals of Ben, not criminals. The

Anti-Streeters are a little beneath our

notice, Ben. Besides, how do we know

they'll even show up?

Hey! Does that answer your

question?Nobody throws vegetables at the

torch. Flame on! Where

are you?Right here, hot stuff!

Here!Cool off!

This is ridiculous, like swatting flies

with a cannon. You're telling me! Ya

Yancy-Yahoos! Come out and

fight! Never! Hey!

Who

turned out the light?Odd. Those don't

sound like Yancy street voices.

Come on, he went thataway!Careful, Ben.

There's something fishy about this. Ha!

Got him cornered. And he's big enough. I

won't have to pull my punches. Ohh Yahoo!

It's clobbering time!

What a punch! Stay back, Ben.

That's no Yancy Streeter. That's a

full-grown gorilla.

Holy cow. He means business.

Look out! Another one! An orangutan!

What's that ray?It's magnetic.

He's pulling then jumps towards us. Run!

Ben, get out of here!

Thanks, kid. Keep the home fires

burning.

What?Asbestos?I

can't blame on.

Now to give Stretcho a--

Watch it! My insurance isn't paid up.

You're a

wild fuzzy face.

Ha!A lot of power, huh

Jumpin'

jellyfish! He's turning into a pilot!

Shrinks! Come

on! Will the real baboon please stand up

and fight?Can't hold

him much longer. Too powerful! Sue,

over here!

ohh My invisible force field! Must save

Reed!

He's so strong! I don't know how

long I can hold him out. And he's not

even our main enemy, Sue.

Don't you recognize those apes?Don't you

remember their master?We're being

attacked by Correct Richards, the

Red Ghost at your service.

You marooned me on the moon, but I

escaped. I swore then to get my

revenge, and now the time has come.

Surrender, or I will fire into this sack

and finish off the human court. No, you

mustn't! Johnny! Easy, Susie Kell.

We won't let the kid get hurt. Put your

weapon away. We surrender.

Very wise, Richard. Too bad

you weren't wise enough to stay home. The

Yansea Street g*ng never wanted to fight

you. I sent that challenge,

and you stepped into my trap. Summon

our rocket ship magnetically, my pet.

Step aboard, all of you.

You are about to begin a most important

journey, a journey from which you shall

never return.

What is our destination?The moon,

Richards. Very well. But let me warn

you, once we reach the moon, it's open

warfare. Ah, idle

friends. My apes and I are your

superiors.

We are proceeding on schedule. Soon you

shall regret leaving me on the moon.

What?Some trouble has arisen.

Quickly, my pet, take me to it.

Destroy shower. The ship will be

destroyed if one of the larger particles

hits us, unless that's it.

Bring me the girls.

He's freeing Susie. For what?I don't

know, but I intend to find out. Go with

him, Sue. All right. If you say so.

Red Ghost seems to have forgotten that I

can make myself as slender as I wish. Get

him, Reed! Protect

the ship with your forcefield, Mrs.

Richards, or we shall all perish.

Sue's forcefield couldn't recycle us for

long, but I have a plan. Call your

magnetic orangutan. A

peculiar team, Richard. But it seems to

be working. Between your orangutan's

anti-magnetic action on those metallic

rocks and Sue's force field, we should

make it. But once we're through with this

asteroid show, Mr., look out for the

Fantastic Four. We've done it.

I've broken through the asteroid shower.

And there is the moon, dead ahead. My

revenge is near. Correction, my

fist is near. Atta

boy, Reed. It's clobbering

time. Don't move, big

boy. Hot

stuff, Keep Tom. Fool, have

you forgotten the red ghost's powers?

see how easily I escaped your crude

attack?Blast!

He's made his body unsolid and walked

right through the wall. Well, I got this

one anyway. Hey! A

little rascal turned into a ball of

spikes! Ouch!

A little heat'll fix his tricks.

That did it! He's a monkey again!

Hey!Where did that trap ore come from? The

same place those two came from, Ben. They

all got away. Fools! I

was prepared for your attack. And

now, farewell! This is the end

of the fantastic fool.

Three! The whole ship's falling apart!

Not the ship, Johnny. Just this section.

Hang on! Hang on! No one! We're falling!

The Fantastic Four have crashed on the

moon. At last, I have my revenge.

They will perish in moments from lack of

air. The Fantastic Four are doomed.

Doomed!

Is everyone all right?Yeah, but

where are we?On the surface of the moon.

Good work, Sue. Your force field

cushioned our fall. And the air inside

kept us from suffocating. Yeah, but

this little bit of air won't last more

than a few minutes. We've got to do

something. There's one chance, Ben. The

mysterious blue area we found when we

were here before. There's air there.

There it is, beyond those mountains.

Then it's hopeless. We'd never be able to

climb those before our oxygen runs out.

Looks like curtains for the Fantastic

Four. Curtains my foot.

We'll go under those mountains. Gangway

for the Thing Express.

Attaboy, Benji. Dig we must.

Don't lose your force field, sis.

Whatever you do, we'll lose our oxygen.

I'm okay so far, Johnny. Hope I'm

not thinking too fast for you, Dretcho.

Right behind you, big fella.

Come on, sis. Don't weaken now. Don't

give up, g*ng. Bashful Benji's just

getting warmed up.

Hang on, Sue. Gotta make it.

Oxygen. Getting used up.

Feels dizzy. Relicked, then.

Admit it. Not yet, kid.

Don't give up.

Couldn't tell the kid but my arms, like

fled weights. Gotta keep trying.

Just one more punch!

Must've passed out. Looks like we're all

goners. Wait! I can breathe!

There's air coming in! Air! Ben did it!

He punched a hole through. There's enough

oxygen for me to flame on now! Flame on!

Wake up, everybody! Air, we're safe!

Ben, come on! You did it!

Well, I'll be hornswaggled. Let's

go!

This isn't the blue area. It's a man-made

cave of some sort. Dog knocking. We're

breathing, aren't we?I never knew air

could smell so good. What do you

suppose this place is, Reed?It looks like

some sort of underground laboratory. This

equipment was built by a very advanced

intelligence. Holy Toledo! These

machines were built by a super brain.

There is only one man that could be. A

man whose job it is to observe life on

many planets. but never to interfere in

their affairs. We've entered the home

of... The Watcher. The

Watcher?I wonder where he is now.

Here, my Earthling friends.

The Watcher! This is only a thought image

of me, you see. I saw you brought

here by the evil Red Ghost. And

though I am fledged not to interfere in

Earth's affairs, I wish you well in your

struggle with him. But heed one

warning.

My machines are so complicated, they

could be dangerous to you. For

instance, that object you hold,

it can change your appearance in an

instant. Drop it before you change

permanently.

This was once a deserted planet a

thousand times larger than Earth. I

shrank it to this size in order to study

it more easily.

And even I do not know what this object

is. I found it in the 17th

galaxy and have been studying it for

centuries. Maybe it's an outer space

Christmas tree. Oops! It just

changed! It changes form every

few seconds. But how or why,

even I do not know. Now, I must

leave you. Good luck. Until we meet

again. Farewell!

I wish I knew how he does that. So do I,

Johnny. But right now, let's check this

machine. If it's what I think it is, we

may get another crack at the Red Ghost.

Okay, Ben. You sweep the skies for

the RedCo's ship. We should be able to

bring him down as soon as I get this

magnetic neutralizer up to full power.

Power. Power, my crities.

That will be my reward for defeating the

Fantastic Four. With them out of the

way, no force on Earth can stand up

against us. And now to broadcast

my ultimatum. To all world

capitals, surrender. or be

destroyed by the Red Ghost.

The magnetic motors have stopped. What

bungling is this? The ship is falling

towards the moon! There is no rocket

power! I must have power!

We will crash!

ohh

Stop trying to raise the ship, you

brainless beast!

Blast it!He escaped by

burning himself a tunnel. Well, he will

have to come up sometime.

Good. I'm behind him. Now to-- Hey,

where'd that wind come from?

That blasted orangutan. He got the motor

going. The exhaust is putting out my

flame.

Good work, my pretty ape. And now to

finish off the human torch. You leave

my brother alone. That voice!

It must be the Invisible Girl. Destroy

her! Destroy me!

Not while I can use my force field.

Careful, you little fool. You almost got

me.

Aha! The home of the Watcher.

The weapon I seek must be here.

So, Richard, we meet

again. Don't move. Just show

me how you brought my ship down, and I

will let you live. Sorry, Red Ghost, but

no dice. You're trapped here on the moon

now, the same as we. And even if you

destroy me, my friends will see to it

that you're punished. Go ahead, sh**t!

But you're in for a big surprise.

As you wish, Richards!

Farewell!

My own way! Coming at me!

No! Good work, Sue! That

a girl! Cover him, sis!

Don't sh**t! I surrender! I-- I'm

falling! Reed! He's gone! What happened?

Stay back. This is some sort of matter

transmitter. A watcher probably uses it

to travel from galaxy to galaxy. There's

no telling where it has taken the Red

Ghost. Oh, one thing's for sure. You

won't be bothering us for a while.

the Red Coast's rocket ship. Those agents

must have gotten it going by themselves.

Oh no! Now we're really stranded here,

forever! Do not despair.

The Watcher is watching you. Can't

you send us home, Watcher?I know you have

the power. I have the power, but

I'm not allowed to interfere in your

affairs. However, you are a

scientist, Richards. If you should figure

out how to use my transmitron machine,

I could not stop you. It could

transport you to Earth, but it is very

risky. You could be lost in

space forever. We'll take that

risk. Anything is better than being

marooned here. Farewell,

and good luck.

All right, everyone. I see how this thing

works. I just hope I've said it right, or

we'll all end up floating in deep space.

Thanks for the cheerful word. Maybe we

ought to stay here. I say let's chance

it. Reed's never failed us yet. I'm not

afraid. Let's go. Well, Ben, what do you

say?Never let it be said that the

thing was outdone by a girl. Let

her rip.

Good heavens! We're home! I think.

We're on Earth, at least. Yeah, but where

on Earth are we?HmmIf

I didn't know better, I'd say we were

right back where we started -- on Yancey

Street. Hey! Ah

Yep, this is Yancey Street, all right.

It's clobberin' time!

Well, there he goes again.
