Welcome to the Raucous Riveters Rodeo.

You're gonna love it.

[gasps] Boogie with Great Aunt Bernice?

Or maybe we should line up
for lasso lessons with Miss Marian?

-[vocalizing] A-ha! Huh-huh!
-[crowd gasps]

Or we could flip the script
and go towards the spice.

[sniffs] I smell something hot, hot, hot!

-[panting]

My dad loves spicy food,
but he can't handle it.

All these booths are fab-tastic,

but there's one
that's even more fab-tastic-er!

What could be better
than dancing, lassos, and chili?

Those both sound rodeo-mazing,

but I'm talking about
the mechanical bull riding contest!

-[all] Wow!

-[giggling]

this buckin' bull who's boss?

I know it sounds easy,

but it's super-duper-trooper hard.

A ton of kids have tried,

so I gotta take that bull by the horns.

on a bucking bull is a really long time.

I tried as hard as I could,
but I still failed.

How am I supposed to stay on that thing?

Hmm. I reckon this bunch of buckaroos
needs to lasso up some ideas

with a brainstorm!

the big scary bull

with some upgrades.

We can program
the mechanical Mooshu to be super chill,

-so it won't throw Rosie off.

but I gotta win the Silver Saddle
the old-fashioned way,

by riding a rootin' tootin' buckin' bull.

Let's run some tests. Loading the lab.

even with the fans blowing.

But if Rosie's got good balance,
why did she fall off the bull?

Maybe I have to be
stiff and sturdy like a rock

-to stay on the bull!

Hear me out. I stayed on the balance beam
because I didn't move a muscle, right?

So, if I make myself
even more stiff and sturdy,

-maybe I won't fall off the bull.

supposed to grab the horns?

What if you try holding on to
something else?

But I gotta take the bull by the horns.
That's my plan and I'm sticking to it.

I don't know about all those rocks.
Maybe you could be more flexible?

Great Aunt Rose or my mom.

talking pretty silly, huh?

but talking science?

Benny, you have a video
of Great Aunt Rose riding the bull, right?

Great Aunt Rose isn't
grabbing the bull's horns,

she's got one hand on the saddle rope.

And she's squeezing her legs
to hold on tight.

-"Squeeze them knees."
-And look!

She's sitting up high,
using her hand to keep her balance.

"Stay high and dry,
but don't forget to wave hi."

Kinda like a skyscraper!

Skyscrapers are really tall.

That makes them
more flexible than short buildings.

It's why they don't
fall during earthquakes.

That's rock-solid proof
that it's good to be sturdy and flexible.

So, Great Aunt Rose must be
using physics to ride the bull.

She can react with counter movements
because she's not super stiff.

Oh, yeah, look!
The bull bucks up, she moves down.

It bucks down, she moves up.
Great Aunt Rose shifts her weight

to help her balance
and keep her center of gravity.

Kind of like that seesaw.

So, instead of being stiff like I thought,
I need to stay flexible and loosey-goosey?

I think so.

I guess my way of riding isn't working.
Maybe I should give your ideas a try.

It couldn't hurt.

And no matter what,
we'll be rooting for you.

these frontier physics a test run.

-[crowd cheering]
