[Trishelle] I've been so busy,
I haven't really called--

Talked to Daddy that much or anybody.

Like, it's amazing.

-[Bryan] So, how are the people?

-Got some characters?
-Yeah. Like, the girls are gorgeous.

-Really?
-Yeah, they're all so pretty.

And, like, the guys are, like, cool

and they're really cute
and these two girls,

they're both mixed,
like, Italian and Black,

and they are just so pretty.

And then we have a girl from--
Brynn from Portland.

She's really pretty too.

I mean, they're all just gorgeous,
gorgeous girls.

And then the boys
are Frank, Alton, and Steven.

I cannot believe--
The freaking second night we go out,

I hooked up with somebody.

And my roommate!
And I swore I wasn't gonna do that.

-[Bryan laughing]
-Buffy's gonna be so pissed.

My sister Buffy, she's my best friend,
and I look to her for advice.

She's 11 years older than I am,
so she knows what's going on.

and Steven and Trishelle are making out.

they want to do, but I don't like it

because I can't stand the sound
of people making out right next to me.

But I also think
it'd be kind of cool to, like,

partake in some activity
with both of them.

[Alton] Melissa's my ex-girlfriend.
We were together for three years.

She's one of my best friends.

I see Melissa for the last time shortly

She tells me she might be pregnant

[Trishelle] When I told my daddy
that I made it,

he said, "I've never been
so disappointed in you."

-[Trishelle] My daddy hurts my feelings,

Sometimes he'll be like--

I tell him something,
and he's like, "You are such a screw-up,"

and I'm like, "What?"

Sometimes I don't feel like
my daddy cares about me,

because I feel like he wasn't there
for me when my mom passed away.

He should at least,
you know, kind of be there to guide me

and everything,
and he wasn't really there for me.

[Brynn] My dad's always telling me--
He's like, "I'm so proud of you."

He's like, "I appreciate, like,
telling people, you know,

'This is my daughter,
and she's doing this,

and she's done that.'"
Like, he just raves about it.

[Trishelle] And I feel like now
that my mom died…

-[Arissa] It's good that you have--
-…I have nobody to, like,

I don't know, be proud of me now.

[Irulan] Losing her mother
right at the beginning of adolescence

has really affected her
and her confidence.

I think that she sees herself
through her father's eyes,

and I think
that her father has made her feel like

a second-class citizen.

[Arissa] You're a long way from Louisiana.

-Yeah, long way from home.
-[Arissa] Yeah.

[soft rock music playing]

[Alton] She thinks she might be pregnant.

She's mad at me
for even rationalizing it and saying,

"No, it's your birth control."

It's on her to, like,
make sure before she calls you up…

-Yeah.
-…and starts stressing you out about it.

Like, and doesn't she want to know?

-Yeah, she didn't want to know…
-Then why is she

-dilly-dallying about it?
-…it's like,

"Oh, and I have an appointment in a week."
I'm like, "Dude, an appointment?"

"Go get yourself an EPT.
Go figure out what's the stee,

and hit me up in the morning."
You know what I mean?

[Irulan] Do you think
that she would keep it?

[Alton] I think she would.

[upbeat pop music playing]

With my ex-girlfriend, like, we were so--
I mean, honestly, she was my best friend.

We were together
for three and a half years, you know?

Since I graduated high school.

She was my first, you know, true love.
She's been there through, like,

some of the craziest times of my life.

Our friendship
was so far ahead of our relationship.

It was dope, you know?
And then it just started changing.

Like, it started getting weird,
you know what I mean?

Like, she started taking me for granted.

He was really missing this girl,
and I think that he must really love her

to feel so strongly
about her in a positive way.

To me, it's not very important,

She comes from a small town too.

She cares about herself
and respects herself.

And she totally shattered
that image of herself.

I kind of wish I could rewind tonight
and do it all over again.

There's a lot of things
I would have done differently.

I just kind of felt uncomfortable.

with my sister, Buffy.

She's the one who,
I think, cares about me the most,

and she's a lot like my mom
in some ways, I think,

and she just wants to look out for me.
She knows what's best for me.

Well, Bryan told you that I hooked up
with one of my roommates.

-[Buffy] Yeah.
-Well, last night,

I hooked up with another one. [laughs]

[Buffy] Trishelle.

[Trishelle] Except it wasn't a boy.
[chuckles]

I want Buffy to tell my dad

about the whole me,
Brynn, and Steven thing

because I don't want
to have to tell him myself,

because I'm scared of his reaction.

I'm feeling depressed, anxious.

I'm very worried,
and it's just a very scary situation.

If I do have a baby
or whatever and she is pregnant--

She chooses to keep it--
Maybe this is gonna be

that driving, that motivative force
that makes me just go out there

and just handle
all my business, like, now.

How do they feel
about that in your religion?

At first, I was thinking, like,
there was no way in hell I would.

Now I think I would.

I plan on going
to medical school to get my doctorate

in veterinary medicine.

If Melissa's pregnant,
I'm probably gonna go back to California.

Medical school now out of the question.

It's just a crazy situation. Totally.

[Alton] So, what's up?

I started my period, so...

I mean, I was kind of, like,

hoping, kind of. It was weird.
Definitely mixed emotions, you know?

But from now on, we're using protection.

I was totally single when I came here,

"I'm gonna get back together
with Melissa."

and try to get me to come home.

[Trishelle's Dad] Well? Then, you know,
we're all really, really upset.

but, I mean, things are better now.

I don't think my daddy
will ever accept me for who I am.

I think that there's a mold
