and he is the director of marketing
for the Nine Group.

Jean has an outside promotions company
that works closely with the Nine Group.

Listen, what I do
is very, very fun. I throw parties.

I mean, it's that simple.

It might be with a magazine.
It might be with a DJ.

So, one at a time,
we're gonna go in the VIP room,

and we're gonna just do
a quick five-minute interview

just about you and your background.

And then, I'm gonna kinda
leave you guys with Jean,

and he's gonna kinda
do a little meeting-slash-audition,

so you guys get a feel for what he's about

and what he can do
to help you guys learn to succeed.

What do you like to do?

[Frank] I'm from central Pennsylvania.
I'm from, like, kind of Amish country.

I surf, I play the violin.

I'm a dancing machine.

I'm an advertising major.
I go to college in Mississippi.

I was trying
to actually open my own club in Boston.

I'm only excited to dance

and I don't even know
if I get to dance as part of our job.

You know, I kind of think one
of the white little boys is kind of cute.

of this guy I used to date.

[Arissa] Everybody told me before I left--

Dario and I have been together
for five and a half years.

What I want is to definitely
stay faithful to my boyfriend.

At this particular point,
I don't know how easy that is going to be.

I really don't know what's gonna happen.
I'm not gonna say,

"Oh, yeah. I'm gonna go cheat on him."

'Cause, you know, I wouldn't,
like, knowingly do that.

But I don't know what's gonna happen.

You find people that you are attracted to,

And then I just got up

I say something to Irulan
and she's like, "Frank, psst, psst, psst."

You know, and…

Like, Irulan put me on shout to Frank.

-[Frank] You hook up with Steve?
-No.

-[Frank] Oh, shut the [bleep] up. Did you?
-No, I swear to God.

[upbeat music playing]

I don't have it in my mind.
[chuckles] For some reason that, like,

I was attracted to Steve last night.

I'm like, "Irulan, we can do it.
Nobody will know."

Like, the next thing you know,
like, she goes out there to Frank

and was just like,
"She's gonna sleep with Steve."

And I was like--

'Cause Frank came in there like,
"You slept with--"

[Alton] She said
you were gonna sleep with Steve?

-Yes. Ask Frank.
-[Alton] She said that, though?

I'm like,
"You just put my [bleep] on shout."

I'm noticing that Irulan,
you know, has a big mouth.

And sometimes a big mouth will--
That door slam right on you.

[Irulan] Had a little platform setup,

and you can see, you know,
the hooded figure, like,

hanging on a noose basically.
It says "KKK."

Arissa is definitely acting
differently towards me.

What's up?

-[Alton] With what?

I mean, you guys--
You guys have to talk about that.

I really can't imagine
what it is that I've done to her

to make her feel upset with me.

Arissa is livid at the fact
that I am gossiping about her

and what she was doing
with Steven in the room.

-So it's just like, "I'm angry at Frank."

[Irulan] Frank feels that I implied
to him that they were having sex,

but the danger in assuming is that,

you know, you're not always right
in your assumptions.

I could've handled it
a lot of different ways.

I am not the type of person
who puts people on shout.

I don't wanna create a situation
where we can't be friends past this point.

Frank is potentially creating
a situation where Arissa and I

can no longer be friends.

And it's all because
of some stupid-- Like, he's an [bleep].

And that's why this is happening.

I hate arguments. I hate disputes.

So the last thing I'm gonna do
is involve myself

in some huge dramatic argument.

I'm 3,000 miles away from him right now.

Everything that I do,
like I said, however innocent or not,

is going to affect him.

I feel, uh, bad
that I did put you guys in this situation.

Like, and I apologize, okay?

I don't really feel sorry about.

Irulan and Arissa are going
to be my two biggest hurdles

in terms of getting along
with my roommates.

and I think that's a tight rope to walk.

[Marc] The bulk of what you're gonna do
this week is with Jean.

Basically, we have an event
Thursday night in Rain called Catwalk.

It's sort of a fashion-driven,
fashion-themed,

it's a little abstract concept
that we're gonna do.

DJ Skribble is spinning
in Rain that night,

and you guys are--

Your first task
is to promote, and with Jean,

work on a performance-based thing
for Catwalk.

You basically have
less than 72 hours to do that.

[Trishelle] I'm thinking
there is no way in hell,

in 72 hours,
that we are gonna be able to do

all the things that he wants us to do.

[Jean] Really not doing a cat--
a catwalk like a fashion show.

It's the theme of the party.

Catwalk is-- It's just a model theme
for Rain's Drench Thursday.

We've decided to do
a little mock runway club thing.

Arissa pretty much taking the helm
and planning the fashion show.

[Arissa] I feel like the fashion show
should just be completely off the hook.

In order for this whole thing to happen,

I have to teach five people

that have never stepped foot
on a runway before

to walk.

You're starting here, okay?
That's where you do your first pose.

-[Frank] I've never done this before…
-[Arissa] Just walk. Come on.

our first fashion show,

The first show kind of opened
my eyes to make me want

to actually participate in future shows.
