[woman] Ow!

-[Arissa] This is the true story…
-[all] True story…

[Frank] Of seven strangers…

[Trishelle] Picked to live in a casino…

[Alton] Work together
and have their lives taped…

[Brynn] To find out what happens…

-[Steven] When people stop being polite…
-[Irulan] And start getting real.

[all] The Real World: Las Vegas.

-[Arissa] Baby, yeah!
-[all laughing]

[upbeat music playing]

[train's whistle blowing]

[Trishelle] What do you wanna do tonight?

Do you want to go eat sushi
at this place in The Venetian?

[Brian] Sure. Is it okay if I take you out
to dinner tomorrow night?

Yeah, yeah, that's cool.

I met Brian the first month
that I moved to Vegas,

and he's the only person
that I've invited out

-to come and visit me.
-[Brian] Well, I don't know

if you want to do anything
with me tonight,

but I was hoping that one night
I could get you with me alone.

Of course. That's what we were
just talking about, actually.

-[Brian] Who's we?
-Me and Steven.

-[Brian] Okay.
-Okay, I'll see you in a little bit.

-[Brian] You got it.
-Okay, bye.

-[Trishelle] Hah, that's funny.
-[Steven] What?

[Trishelle] He was like,
"Yeah, I was hoping that one night

I could take you to dinner
but just me and you and be alone."

You should do that.

And I was, like… He was like,
"Tomorrow night, though."

No, I think that would be nice
if y'all had a normal date.

Do you not want us to go tonight?

-No, I'm just saying I like Brian.
-[Trishelle] Well, I like him too.

-Believe me. We'll hook up.
-[Steven] Well, I like him more.

-You're like, "Believe me, we'll hook up."
-Obviously. [laughs]

I'm just trying to help you guys out.

I feel bad about
how Trishelle's relationship and mine

has happened,
and I just want her to be happy,

and if I could help her find somebody
that makes her happy,

then that makes me happy,

and that makes me feel
like I'm redeeming myself.

[Trishelle] I feel like I should
be going on dates.

This is the longest I've ever been single,

and I feel, like, you know,
maybe I should,

kind of get out there
and date a lot of guys

so that when I finally find that one,
I'll appreciate that person more.

-[Trishelle] How you doing?
-[Brian] Hi, how you doing?

You are so sweet. Thank you.

[Gary] Tell me what is it

about L.A. that makes people…
They're really confident.

[Brian] I'm not really from L.A.
I'm from Huntington Beach.

But I went to four high schools
in four years, private school,

public school, moved, and then
I got recruited to play volleyball

somewhere else, so I got to deal
with different people.

Wow, they have guy volleyball
teams in Los Angeles.

-[Steven] Yeah.
-The volleyball is crazy, bro.

It's really big. I've gone
to Junior Olympics three years in a row,

when I was a kid,
and they do nationals for… Anyways--

-[Trishelle] He's a little like you.
-[Brian] A little what?

You're like… You and Steven
have a lot in common--

[Steven] I went to four high schools
in four years,

I went to the Junior Olympics for javelin.

I'm scared. [chuckles]

[funky music playing]

[Trishelle] Steven's always been there
for the past four months,

and it's kind of, like,
I compare boys to him.

What else do we have in common?

Oh, y'all are just… I don't know.

Some of the things he says,
like, when people talk to him,

like, it kind of is like you.
It's funny. It's, like, yeah.

Brian doesn't know how to feel
about me and Steven

because he sees us laughing
and joking around,

and I tell him that we're "just friends,"
but I think that he knows better.

That's really weird.
That's why I like this guy a lot,

before I realized
that we're the same damn person.
