- You're expectancy is
not extremely great.
- I only got two months left.
- But there's things that some of us know
that Car-Go doesn't.
You have the deciphered dossier.
- The scheme on.
- Agnes, you're
working on cars with TI.
- I want to start working on this bus.
- TI, you have outdone yourself.
- You're an inside man.
I want you to know everything.
- I want this house locked down.
- I want you scouting out the vent
and the air conditioning unit.
- If I get sucked into a fan and exploded,
you'll know what happens.
- This is actually going
to be you guys arriving
as two separate, unrelated
parties in this case.
Agnes showing up with a gift for Felix.
- How would you like to get in on
a kind of a one last job kind of deal?
- I'm fully in.
The rest of you arriving
with crate action.
- Agnes might really die.
- If things go really bad,
I can convince everyone
I am a dinosaur, eh?
- Oh no!
- I just got legitimately nervous,
like a high stakes, actual
about to heist nervous.
- Yeah, this is a real heist.
- But it's not real, Brennan.
These are toys.
- If you were,
If you believe—
- If you die in the game you die in real life.
- I have to—
- If you believe!
Welcome, one and all, to
another exciting episode of
Tiny Heist!
My name is Brennan Lee Mulligan,
I'm your humble dungeon master,
with me as always are our tiny thieves,
say hello, tiny thieves.
- Hello, tiny thieves!
- Oh my goodness!
We are here at the vault of Felix Flick
in the attic of number four, Thimble Lane.
In between the two by
four, boom-boom-boom,
underneath a layer of plywood,
and another layer of plywood,
a road leading up from the
air vents and the highway,
this fortress, this compound,
a memorial to greed and the ability
of the stewards in this house to exact
their terrible criminal will
on all the houses of Thimble Lane.
You guys see, spreading
out before you here,
a vast criminal complex.
Your getaway vehicle rolls up,
driven by Lieutenant Rick Diggins,
two Moocher-sized boxes in
the back of that vehicle.
Boomer, you're in the
security booth right here.
And we see the Incredible Dantes, Agnes,
and a incapacitated, wink,
Car-Go Jones in the back.
On your approach to this place,
flashing back for a moment,
what are the emotional states of everybody
as we approach?
Is there anything you guys—
- Are you asking about me, Travis?
'Cause I'm scared shitless.
I'm right now just writing
down all the different steps
and looking at each one,
saying that's four dice rolls,
that's another three, oh no!
I think at this point,
knowing what he knows,
I think Car-Go is feeling,
I don't want to say nervous or trepida-
but so much as like,
he, practical.
He's feeling practical, I think, is like,
there is a very real chance
that this doesn't go off.
And so,
I would like to pull TI
aside for a conversation.
- Awesome.
As you guys are, as you're
getting ready to go into the box
back in the garage,
and you're getting ready to get dragged
in a different vehicle with Dantes,
you guys order a little, you know,
mouse chariot or whatever,
a little rickshaw to go there separately.
Go ahead, Car-Go—
- I'd like to have a private meeting.
- Hi!
TI, I need your help.
- Okay, what do you want blown up?
- Well,
that is a very good question.
I need some mines,
something I can set off
in case this goes sideways,
and they need to be small enough
to fit in my chest cavity.
- You'd blow yourself up?
- I mean, ideally no, but
if it comes down to it,
if getting
the quarters out of the vault
doesn't look like it's gonna happen,
I'm gonna be right next to Felix,
and it would be a hell
of a consolation prize.
- Wow, Okay.
And I have those expl*sives.
- Of course.
- Yeah, so what were you looking for?
What kind of manpower, okay,
do we want a little bit?
Do you want to just
blow up the whole house?
Do we want to—
Okay.
- You know what?
I'm gonna say, not the whole house.
Though I appreciate,
I appreciate the offer.
Something that's just gonna take
maybe like a, what
six inch radius?
- TI reminds me of somebody
working at a dispensary,
like, do you want a cool sort of mellow,
whole body high?
- You lookin' to party, or—
- If you're looking to party,
I got fire, okay.
Okay, just a little body
expl*si*n, I got that.
Here you go.
- A sativa b*mb!
- Also it would be great if I could
remotely detonate it.
- Yes.
Brennan, I have those abilities.
- Give me a mech check real quick.
- How are you gonna remotely detonate
the bombs in your chest?
- Well, I don't want 'em to
just go off accidentally.
- A nine and...
A 14 plus eight is 22.
- I'll say this.
With a 22, you can
either make them detonate
from Car-Go, or from a remote detonator
that you have, but you can't do both.
So you've gotta pick one.
- You want me to have it, or do you want,
It'll be in your body
cavity, 'cause it will be—
- Yeah, I want to be able to control,
I don't want to just—
- It will be on a door you can break off
and throw away or something,
that you could—
- It's implanted in your body.
- Yeah.
- But you
have the control for it.
- Yeah.
- Okay.
- I'm in the box next to him, I'm like,
man, he really wants those quarters.
- I think,
I think Rick Diggins pulls TI aside too,
and is like,
listen, I want to put some
expl*sive inside Car-Go.
Don't let him know, but I think—
- Hey, Rick Diggins,
we got it handled.
You want some in you?
Do you want some in you?
- No, I'm good, actually.
- I can put one in one of your bodies.
- I thought it would be harder
to convince you about him,
but this is great.
- Can you just put one in Felix?
- That would make this whole thing a lot shorter.
- I could try, you want me to do that?
Scrap the plan.
- No!
Okay.
- You're taking away my moment!
- We cut away from that.
Let's, we'll keep going around the table.
What's Bean feeling as you
sort of jostle in the back
of this vehicle approaching?
- I'm in the zone.
I'm in my box, and I'm just like,
in the just really immersed
myself in the whole
just flow of sh*t.
And I see hearts, you know,
I see the hearts of my fellow thieves,
just sort of floating around in the air.
- Who has the biggest heart?
- Surprisingly, it's me.
- No, I'm kidding.
Cool, cool, cool, cool.
- The biggest heart of all!
- But yeah, I'm just,
I'm really,
I don't think I'm nervous at all.
- You're super centered, man.
- Yeah, I don't think I,
it's not like a flex,
I just don't think I remember how to get,
how to get nervous.
I think it was so,
how it was so removed
from us in the temple.
- Perfect, I love it.
TI, what's going on
with you in your crate,
as you move along?
- I'm excited!
I'm too excited to be scared,
I don't, I'm so optimistic,
I don't think we'll fail,
and I think we can only
succeed and bring glory
and supplies to our families,
and that it'll all work out.
- Aww!
- Wonderful.
- I'm hungry also.
- Still thinking about that mushroom!
- Is TI or is Lily hungry?
- Yeah!
- No, Lily's fine.
- Okay.
- TI's always a little peckish,
'cause some of you guys don't need to eat,
but TI needs to eat.
- TI needs to eat, it's true.
How's Agnes doing?
- Agnes loves this,
it's what she lives for,
so she's feeling very excited.
But she's also grown to love this crew.
So she's nervous for everybody,
she wants everyone to survive,
and she knows that last time,
someone almost died, or could have died
trying to help her out,
so I think right before
everything goes down,
she tells everybody, if it, you know,
if this happens again, you guys can just
let me go.
- Whoa!
- Oh, sh*t.
- Heavy.
- Do we know about your medical condition?
- She goes, all right, everybody.
Just so you know,
I visited some doctors,
I don't have much longer.
And if I go down in a
blaze of f*ck' glory
in this little sh*thole house,
that's the way that I want to go.
And I want y'all to
take care of yourselves
and take care of each other.
And I love you all, you're
all my little babies.
- Aww, Agnes!
- That is—
- She gives them all little
kisses on the forehead.
- Agnes, you know, another
cool time I can think of
to have told us this
would have been before.
I almost k*lled myself. It's fine, it's fine.
C'est la vie, c'est la vie.
- All right, all right, all right.
There's like five of you, right?
There's only one of me, so you know,
let's, yeah.
- It's fair, it's fair.
- That's true, if one of you dies,
do the other four survive?
- Whoa!
- That's got—
- Are we talking real life?
- Boomer.
You're in the security booth looking out
at the dark expanse of the attic,
what's going through your head
as you know that your secret cohorts
are on the way here?
- I think Boomer has
gone full Stanislavsky,
he is really, whenever he
gets in a time of stress
or danger or fear,
he just wants to observe everything,
he's working on sense memory.
So he's observing the flash of the lights
and how cool the air is,
and he just really wants to make this
a sense memory so that the
next time he's pulling a heist
where nobody's going to survive,
you know, he has this to fall back on.
But yeah, I think he is observing,
he's taking it all in,
and so, it's kind of clinical, but that,
this is how he gets through
stressful situations.
- Incredible.
Rick.
What's going through your head?
- I feel like Rick is
working really hard to stay
in this moment.
I think that
he is,
his inclination right
now is to be very deep
in his own psyche,
thinking a lot about
the Black and Pierre,
and the years under the seat.
And I think that it's,
it is a conscious effort for him
to try to stay present,
and I think that that is sort
of working against himself
in this scenario.
- This morning,
you took
14 points of damage from
having your fairy dust.
You can probably have
healed that in a short rest,
as you were preparing for the heist,
you don't have to start low now,
but you've probably used up the hit dice
you would have used in a short rest
to come back from that.
The dust, as you continue to use it,
is taking more and more of a toll.
Every day, it's been harder and harder.
Do you think Rick has shared that
with the other thieves, or no?
- Car-Go knows, right?
- Yeah, I mean, I was there
when it first hit him.
- Then yeah.
- It's probably harder to
hide, honestly, at this point.
I mean, I would think that
it would be pretty obvious.
- Oh, Mr. Rick, you look terrible!
- It was, thank you.
Appreciate that.
- And it's Lieutenant Rick, please.
Respect the badge.
- Does this happen to every toy?
Or is this just kind of a weird situation,
because you overdid it?
- It's cause, I think it's
'cause I OD'ed, I mean,
it would be my, my—
- The superhero trick
was extremely impressive
and took a very heavy toll.
- You can only do it once.
- It's a great trick, and
I can only do it once.
- You guys approach, we're
going to enter initiative order
as you arrive, this is gonna be
a very interesting initiative order,
because most of the characters
that are in initiative
don't know they're in a combat scenario.
- Yes.
- They are guards and people
that are in the compound,
so we're gonna—
- To be fair, three of the people
who are in the initiative
are either incapacitated
or in boxes, so—
It is going to be a very inter-
I continue to delay my turn.
I also delay my turn.
I delay my turn.
- A hundred percent.
- I have a question.
Obviously, in a heist,
a lot of the time,
you want to get in, you
want to steal the item,
but at the same time,
you want to get out
without
the victims knowing who you
are or what you've done.
With this scenario, there's,
there's really not much of
a way to do that, is it?
I mean are we not,
I mean, are we not
hanging Agnes out to dry
because she and,
and Shelly the Frog there,
or Shelly the Turtle—
- Excuse me.
Excuse me.
The Incredible Dantes.
- Incredible Dantes.
- I mean excuse me, the hero of the story?
- The only reason I'm asking is,
are we,
are we going with a scorched earth policy,
or are we just basically saying,
we don't care that they know
that we're the ones that robbed 'em.
That always seems to add an
extra layer of complexity
to a heist.
- At this point,
the only two people that they know
for sure will be involved
is Agnes, who has two months to live,
and Car-Go, who they already want to k*ll.
So I think at this point,
if we can keep the—
- The rest of us—
- Yeah, if we can keep you
looking like a patsy,
and the three of them off the grid—
- Okay.
- Then I think we're clear.
- What's the initiative order
of the Incredible Dantes?
- That will become clear
as the combat begins.
- He can go whenever he wants.
- He has multiple
Legendary Actions a turn.
- Turns out, he's God.
- The last thing I will say is this.
This heist represents a
unique set of challenges.
Normally in combat, skill checks are
something that sort of adds flavor,
or maybe are critical for
one component or another.
This combat, the skill
checks are live or die.
As a result,
you guys, as a crew,
as a team,
as this incredible group of thieves
engaged in this heist together,
I'm giving you three luck points as a team
for the combat.
- How does that work,
where would I put that?
- You don't put that anywhere,
'cause you guys have to share,
you have to just put
those resources together.
- So if we fail a roll,
we can burn one luck point as a team
to roll again.
- You will decide, you don't
have to split them evenly,
and in fact, you can't,
because there's six of
you and only three rerolls
for the whole battle.
The way that will work,
if you are rolling
advantage or disadvantage,
is you will not reroll both dice.
You will only reroll one of the dice.
- We are going in with our stones, right?
- Yeah.
- We should decide where
the four hearing stones are.
- Definitely one in the server room,
to let us know whe the
10 minute timer starts.
- One with you.
- Probably one with
me, since I don't think
anybody else is going through
the lasers until I do.
- Not on Car-Go anymore.
- Not on Car-Go,
so and I think Rick should
have one as the getaway driver.
- Yeah, in case we
need him to come in, too.
- Wait, yeah.
He's, Rick's our backup.
- And then, you can, they're
walkie talkies, right?
So you can turn 'em off?
Maybe one on Agnes, but—
- Would you get patted down, maybe?
Maybe we put it on Boomer.
- Hmm, I feel like he
would have had to get that
through some sort of security too.
- Put it in the Incredible Dantes's shell.
- Ah, hmm.
Hmm.
- Hmm.
- So TI, Bean, and—
- Rick.
- Rick, definitely.
And then between Boomer and Agnes,
which one do you guys think?
- I feel like Agnes could
hide it somewhere on her body,
unless of course Boomer wants it.
- I feel like Agnes, 'cause
if we're gonna get the code
and the key—
- We need somebody to pick up the key.
- We need some way to communicate to him.
- And then—
- I forgot the code was in there too.
I got a lot to take.
- The only thing that
leaves you guys with is,
someone will have to get
the signal to Boomer.
- Oh, okay.
- For collecting the quarters,
which is not impossible,
but how is Boomer gonna get the signal
that the vault is open,
and that he needs to come in and get—
- I think once,
one TI shuts down
the power grid or whatever,
the server room,
it should then be pretty obvious
that it's gone down,
or no, 'cause then we have 10 minutes
before an alarm goes off.
- So where are the security personnel?
Two are in—
- And there's others throughout
that you guys will see as you will go
through those rooms.
- Got it.
Well, then I think
we could probably get an Unseen Servant
to Boomer to let him know.
- An Unseen Servant, cool, great.
- And that, that seems like,
because Unseen Servant
wouldn't have to worry about
the pressure plates, right?
- That's correct.
- Mkay.
- Mkay.
- We are going to enter initiative order.
So the getaway vehicle pulls up,
Lieutenant Rick, you pull
up in front of the window.
Boomer, you see them
pull out, the guard nods,
and a little rickshaw drops off
Agnes and the Incredible Dantes with a—
- Excuse me, Lieutenant Rickshaw.
- That's good.
- Oh boy!
With a catatonic, wink, Car-Go Jones.
Dantes goes,
well!
Let's get this rug cuttin', shall we?
- What?
- Does Dantes know that Car-Go
is not really incapacitated, or—
- Yeah, how in on the plan is Dantes?
- How in on the plan
did you guys make him?
Did you guys cut him in
with a share of the quarters?
- I think we let him know everything,
I think we would give
him all the details—
- I think he definitely—
- This is a dangerous
situation to put him in.
- He doesn't get an even cut,
we would agree on that, right?
'Cause even,
we've put a lot more fat
on the fire than he has.
- You see he goes,
very well.
The performance of a lifetime.
Agnes, you see that there
is a security window
up ahead of you, as you
and Dantes approach.
- So she knocks on the window,
hey, we're here, we're
here to see Felix, hello!
- You see—
- Got a little something for him.
- Security officer
looks and says,
all right, goes and checks the log.
Okay, that's everything.
Yep, we have you scheduled to come in.
He hits a little something.
One more moment.
- Yay!
- Gate comes down.
You walk through this
room over here, Boomer,
on your way out.
And see
a bunch of guards standing
over in this area,
as well as Speed.
- f*ck' guy.
- Yeah, a bunch of the security are there,
Speed is in there as well.
- Hey, did you guys see
Game of Thrones last night?
- Boomer, you walk in
through the break room,
the guards look over at you.
You move all the way out around here,
and Agnes
and the Incredible Dantes and Car-Go
can all move inside.
- Eep!
- Wonderful.
That's gonna go down and be
Rick's turn.
- Pass.
- Pass!
Oh, cool.
Okay, so you're gonna not,
you're not gonna go to the security booth
and try to, and cool.
You're totally looking to delay
and just deal with the truck right now.
- Well, I mean, I'm sort
of trying to figure out
the timing of,
have I, I mean, do I need to
talk to them about going in?
You're dropping off a delivery here.
- Okay.
- But you also know that Boomer is
probably patting down
these guys right now.
If you want to delay,
because, go ahead and make
a scheming check for me.
- Okay.
16.
- Yeah.
If you go and start signing in right now,
he might send another
one of the guards out
to pick up the crates.
- Which would be bad.
- Which would be bad.
- So I will delay.
- Cool, you delay.
Boomer,
you walk up and see
Agnes and the Incredible Dantes,
you know that there's cameras rolling,
again, camera right here,
there's two cameras out on the front.
Do you do anything as you
go up and approach, or
what does Boomer do?
- Miss Agnes.
Turtle man.
- Dantes, please!
- Oh, Dantes.
Nice to meet you.
- Nice to meet you as
well, what's your name?
- I am Boomer Coleoptera.
- Oh!
Oh!
Of the Thimble Lane Coleopteras!
- Well yeah, you,
you came to my show.
- Darling,
I'm a patron of the theater!
- You are the one guy,
you're the one, you're the,
you are the patron of my theater.
- I just want to say that
I think doing the work that you're doing
is really exceptional, there's a lot of
experimental theater happening
in Trash City right now
that I could honestly do without,
and you are really, you're
really making a difference.
You have a voice!
- Thank you.
- You have a gift!
- I, and I want to share.
- What is happening?
- Every time he starts talking,
I just want to stop the heist,
and see what Dantes is doing that day.
- Dantes, please just review
all the theater in Trash City.
- Yeah!
- Garbage, mostly.
You see he says—
- Literally.
- Literally!
- Hey, you know I need to,
you don't mind if I, you know,
I've gotta—
- Do what you gotta do!
- Oh, all right.
I've gotta check you out, pat
down, it's just a formality,
but I just want to make sure, you know.
And so, he,
he pats down Agnes.
- Four handed pat down.
- That's right, yeah!
- Ba-lup!
- Boom, okay, yeah.
- A four handed pat down.
As you pat down Dantes, you see he goes,
well,
what do you think of the shell, boy?
- Oh!
- He's so horny!
- This is a,
this is the perfect place,
I thought of the best one to do.
He's a flirtle.
Okay, go on.
Thank you.
I just, I was so worried
I wouldn't get to say it.
- You see he says,
you should know about big,
beautiful shells, my man.
You've got quite a set on the back, there.
- You know,
we probably, you know, we're like twins.
Like identical—
- I hope not.
All right.
- Is it weird, I'm getting
jealous, is that weird?
- It's Grant O'Brien the character.
- Brennan, when you
were plotting out today,
did you have to cut out
10 minutes of adventure
to make sure you had
time for horny flirting?
- Flirtle!
- Just rip three pages
out of your notebook,
and then just wrote Dantes.
- It's on genre!
- It's on genre.
- Heists are very sensual.
- It is.
- A honey pot.
- Heists are - he's the honey pot.
- Heists are very sensual.
- Here's the plan, I go into
Felix's bedroom and f*ck him.
While I'm doing that, you get the plans!
- That's my favorite part of Ocean's 11
when Andy Garcia just
tried to f*ck everybody.
- Ah, incredible!
- And then he, I think he has to at least
make a passing attempt at inspecting
Car-Go, right?
- Yeah, absolutely.
- But he doesn't know about
the b*mb in the chest, does he?
- Go ahead actually and just
give me an investigation roll,
if you'd be so kind.
- I'm trusting you again
to do better this time.
Mm, 11,
and one, that's a 12.
- 12.
I'm gonna say, go ahead and give me
a sleight of hand check,
if you'd be so kind.
- Thanks.
- Four, plus six, 10.
- You find,
you find
a b*mb, you find a little
thing in Car-Go's chest cavity.
- And there's, we're on video, right?
- You are on video,
but you don't think the
camera can pick it up.
You find it.
- Well, I have a, yeah, my—
- You just know about it.
- And make eye contact with Agnes.
- Just give it a little wink.
- I kind of point with my horn.
- With my horn!
- With my horn.
- Hey, don't blow up my spot.
- He's going to do that himself later.
- Oh, nice.
- Agnes gives Boomer a little
wink like we're all good.
- Kay.
- Incredible.
- Shuts it back.
- Incredible.
- You're clear to go.
- So Boomer, you actually
have been instructed to,
you're probably going to lead
them to Felix's quarters.
- Follow me, but don't look at my a*s.
- Whoa.
- Do bugs have asses?
Oh man.
- You see—
- Stop the production,
somebody research bug asses.
- Bug asses, you see that—
- Cars have asses—
- They actually have an abdomen.
You see that—
- Abdomen's not an a*s,
you know that, Brennan!
- Head, thorax, abdomen, I mean,
some of those, things like ants and stuff,
they got some junk in the trunk.
- Oh!
- Not important.
The important thing is this,
as you walk away, Dantes says,
I make no promises!
You guys head down the hall.
Boomer, you lead them
all the way over here.
Bada-boom.
- Oh wow.
- Car-Go, you're
over, on the ground over here.
Here is Mr. Felix Flick himself.
We see in the room with him
is Tony Manchego.
- What is Tony under
his hat, is he a mouse?
I haven't been able to—
- He's a mouse.
- Oh, I love his outfit!
The pink, yeah.
- These guys are,
these gangsters are very stylish.
And we also see in this room,
Minetta.
- Oh no, Minetta!
- Minetta!
- Well.
- Just as hot as I thought she'd be.
- I can't blow up Minetta!
- You see her right in there.
- Does she live with him?
- Unclear.
- I didn't think that
they had gone that far
in their relationship.
- Wonderful.
So.
Agnes and Dantes, you guys
are brought into the room,
you see that Felix looks up
as Boomer, you deposit
Car-Go on the ground.
He looks over at Agnes
and Dantes and says,
well.
I couldn't quite believe
it when I heard it,
but I'm very happy
that the fair folk out
in Shoeby's Casino have
gotten a good sense of
the prevailing winds.
Thank you very much for this gift.
You see that Tony walks over
and drags Car-Go across the room,
and gives him another pat down.
- Oh no!
That stinks.
- Do I have to roll again?
- No, I'm gonna use your first roll.
- No!
- Oh no!
- But what if she did have
to roll again, Brennan?
Let's live in a world
where anything can happen.
- He pats down
Car-Go,
looks up, gives a thumbs up to the boss.
- Sick.
- Oh, thank God!
- What a dipshit.
Your roll was garbage!
- It was a 10!
50/50!
- That guy's half assing it.
- You see that Felix walks over,
and Minetta looks at Car-Go,
and you see her face is
just completely blank.
She is like,
can't quite believe
that this has happened.
She looks up at you with
daggers in her eyes.
- Oh damn!
And I love Minetta!
- Well, you see that Dantes says,
well of course, sweet Mr. Flick,
we are
only too happy to help!
I myself am a proud coward and
so happy to give you something
that would make you happy!
- Yeah, we heard that you were
having issues with Car-Go,
you tried to get rid of him,
he saw him at Shoeby's that night,
and we wanted to take
care of business for you.
- That's very nice.
I want to know
what it is that you want from this.
- Well, you know me, I mean,
I'm certainly never in something just for
the good of it.
So if you had any type of
prize in mind, you know.
How important is Car-Go to you?
- You see he scratches his chin.
We're gonna move down
the initiative order to
Boomer, that's you.
- Is he responsible for the,
he's not responsible for the monitoring,
for the monitoring room, right?
He's not supposed to,
his job is to get them
past security, right?
- Yes, correct.
- Okay.
- Mm-hmm, that is correct.
- Okay.
Then I think he
heads back to,
heads back to the security booth, right?
- Yes, absolutely.
Heads back to the security booth.
You get back over here.
We go down the initiative order.
- And is this the break room here?
- That is the
break room that you have
to walk through to get
to the security booth.
- Right.
- Yeah, you see that the guards,
you're kind of like, you know,
checking people in and stuff right now,
and the other guards are
happy to take a break
and kind of let you do that.
- Hey, guys.
It's Larry's birthday.
There's supposed to be
cake in the break room.
- Go ahead and make a
persuasion check for me.
- And we're back.
- Oh!
- For posterity, that's a three.
I don't know what camera
I should say it into
for most effect, but that's a three.
- That's a three.
- Three plus three.
- These guys have never
even heard of cake.
They don't know a Larry.
It's not his birthday.
Cake doesn't exist.
- Did I ever use
the extra roll that she gave—
- I don't know.
- The Bardic Inspiration.
- The Bardic Inspiration?
I think it goes away
after a short rest, sadly.
So I think that's toast.
- The good news is that
I don't think that this
is a make-or-break roll.
You know what I mean?
I think you will have—
- Get these yucky threes
out of the way now.
- Yeah, I think you'll have,
once Rick, that was just to make it so
Rick didn't have to talk his way in.
- But every roll's
important because, I mean,
if I don't get them out
to clear the way for
the truck to come in—
- But we have cover for
him to do what he's doing.
- So Rick is, Rick, we
have the license plate,
and the car's supposed to be there.
- Okay.
- So if you don't clear it, then
it just means Rick has
to work a little harder
to talk his way in, but
now you're in the booth—
- You guys don't want cake, I understand.
You're watching, you know,
watching the waistline,
that's fine, we'll skip the cake.
Let's take care of these
people, what do you say, guys?
- You see they go,
yeah, that sounds
absolutely all right to me,
I would, I like doing my
job, I'm happy to do it.
I like working here.
You see that
Rick, that's going to be your turn.
- Oh. What?
- Okay.
So I pull up to,
I guess it's like a window
that I would probably
address them through?
Is that accurate?
Hey boys, it's me.
Lieutenant Rick Diggins.
And I got a,
I got a delivery here for your boss
he's gonna be real excited about,
I was wondering if I could
just stroll on through,
if y'all could help me
get this package out,
I think it would be primo.
- You see that they look over and say,
yeah, we'll have one of the
guys come out and take it.
We'll take it from you at the loading dock
and you're free to go after that.
We have you down for one crate.
- No, it is one crate,
it was one crate that was taped together.
Two crates taped together
to make one crate,
and the tape was dislodged
because of the humidity.
- Go ahead and give me a deception roll,
if you'd be so kind.
- Hey, it is the summer!
- Yeah!
- A 24.
- Oh thank God.
- You see that the guy
looks at you and says,
it has been muggy as hell, I mean,
late August, you gotta be kidding me, man.
- The air conditioner has
been all over the place.
- Well, that's the thing,
we use the air conditioner
as a defense mechanism, but sometimes
you just want that air
conditioner doing its thing.
- I think the big boy could
actually get both of of 'em
if that would be cool to you—
- You want me to—
- You see them say,
Boomer will come out and—
- I can't grab 'em.
- You see them say—
- Clicko hands.
- They check the license
number on the back of the car.
You see that they sign you out and say,
can we get your signature here?
- Yeah, of course.
Do you have a cylindrical pen?
- Aren't most pens fairly cylindrical?
- You see, yeah.
You make this, go ahead and
give me a sleight of hand check
for the signature.
- You can't even turn at
the waist, Justin, so—
- Yeah!
- Oh God, 18.
- Use that.
- Plus, well, it's 17, 'cause—
- You're literally going to have to
walk forward and backward—
- You've gotta step around—
- Hold on, I have disadvantage
on sleight of hand checks.
- Oh!
- It's a seven.
Minus one, six.
- Six.
You just put the pen down and
move it and rip the
piece of paper in half.
And they go, that's all right.
That's all right, that's
totally all right.
That's all right, we're sorry about that.
Pull it back in,
we go back down the initiative—
- In case anyone's wondering,
we're one third of the
way through the plan.
- Woo!
- Now unfortunately, I did count it out,
and there are 13 steps to the plan,
so that's not great, but
it's all right, it's gonna be fine.
- Incredible.
Cool.
Boomer, you,
you walk out to go,
you walk out there and go,
start to get these crates down.
As you go,
go ahead and Boomer, give me
an insight or a scheming
check, if you would be so kind.
- All right.
- Please.
- 10 plus, what did you say?
- Insight.
- Or scheming.
- 12, would be 11.
- As you walk to get the crates,
it's not the end of the world.
There's a little oversight
in the plan right now,
the kind of thing that
just comes up in any heist,
no matter what you do,
which is that there's a camera sh**ting
down the barrel of this hallway here.
- Hmm.
- And you're gonna have
to use your key card
to swipe into the server room.
You have clearance to
access the server room
as one of the guards on premises,
but it means that people
in the surveillance room
will see you
depositing a crate from the loading dock
in the server room.
Which doesn't look violent or scary,
but is certainly not a thing
that is something you're
supposed to be doing.
- Okay.
- But, hey.
Me, look.
You can't not do it.
So please do it.
- But you're out, that occurs
to you on your way out,
you just clock that camera
and you're like, okay.
- So he's not done it yet.
- You've not done it yet,
but you've clocked it,
and you're going into the loading dock
with that thing in your head of like—
- And I can't signal
jam the camera remotely?
- No.
'Cause you gotta be in the server room
to be able to do that.
- Okay, I have an idea so that—
- After you get in that server room,
after you get in the server room, you're—
- Can I jam the cameras with
an electromagnetic force?
- Hmm.
- Can you make up a
bunch of bullshit magic
in the middle of the heist?
- In a made up magical world?
- My answer—
- Only Brennan's allowed
to make up bullshit
in the middle of the heist.
- That's fair.
And Sir Dantes.
- We cut back to the room here
with Felix
and Dantes.
So you see Felix goes,
thought it'd be worth your while, huh.
What are we talking?
What kind of price is worth
this display of loyalty?
- You've got a
lot of heavy security
around here, I noticed,
I mean, you have to have
a couple of nice things
that you're hiding somewhere.
- He says, ah, I got
plenty of gallery pieces.
He's like,
I have a Rolex watch.
- Ooh.
- Would that do it for you?
- I was thinking of something
a little nicer, I mean,
my friend the Incredible Dantes here
has a very discerning eye,
maybe we could take a look at some things?
- The most discerning, some say,
that you'll have to bring it
closer to the floor, darling.
You see that
Felix nods.
Tony's dragged you over here.
Minetta speaks up and goes,
Felix,
Car-Go's gone catatonic,
he's been away from Dylan for too long.
Just,
just stash him somewhere.
Just leave him somewhere.
And you see that Felix goes,
Minetta.
I didn't know that you
cared so deeply for your
old friend, given how
he came back from the
dead, apparently, and
didn't send any word to you, his pal.
No, I,
I know how much Car-Go's
hurt your feelings, doll, and
I think the only thing
that I responsibly can do
to take care of the people I love
is to take him outside and
burn his f*ck' face off.
You see Minetta blanches.
Tony Manchego kind of kicks
you over to the side, Car-Go.
Make a perception check for me,
if you'd be so kind, Car-Go.
- Well that's a three.
- Cool.
- I see nothing!
- You see nothing.
- But what if it had been better?
- You don't add anything to it?
- No, I mean, a three.
Let's see, perception check.
There's a three, oh, it says, 15.
Well, plus one, it would have been four.
- Damn!
- Can Agnes jump in here?
- Actually, it's something that only
Car-Go can see right now.
Agnes can't see it.
- And even then,
can't.
- Can't, you're just
face down on the floor.
Can't see it.
- But what if I had rolled that,
then what would you have said?
Just, let's play this out, okay.
I bet it was really cool.
I bet it was something that
people would tweet at Brennan
about how excited they
were that he said it.
- Yeah!
- How much they like it now.
- Now we're in a mind
game against you, Brennan!
- How about it.
Cool.
We're gonna go,
we're still going in turn order.
- How come we don't get initiative?
- 'Cause you're in boxes.
- We can still do stuff in boxes.
- You can do stuff in boxes.
What are you guys doing in boxes?
- Thinking about how I wish
I ate that mushroom man.
- I want,
I want to ready an action.
- Oh, what's the action
you're going to ready?
- I, so I'm in my meditative stance,
and I think I'm like
okay, my Ki's all full up,
filled up the tank, I'm ready to roll,
and just every muscle in my body
just instantly snaps to
just full ready to strike.
And if,
if it pops off, and hopefully
I won't need to hit this button,
hopefully my next turn will come around
before I need to hit this oh sh*t button,
but if it pops off out there,
I'm going to
create an enormous sphere of Silence
that no noise can escape,
so that if people try to get on a radio
or activate an alarm,
or do anything like
that, it will nullify it
just in case.
- Hell yes, that's awesome.
- I have a question.
- It's an expensive gambit, though.
So nobody f*ck up.
Yes.
- Can I use Mage Hand from within the box?
A Mage Hand outside the box?
- You don't have line
of sight, unfortunately.
- I need line of sight, even if I, okay.
- Cool.
Boomer and Rick out on the dock outside.
What are you guys doing?
- Well, I thought he
took the boxes inside.
- He's taking them.
- Wait, is it—
- Oh sorry.
- What about my turn?
- Car-Go, are you doing,
you're catatonic right now.
What do you want to do?
- Well, because I'm a researcher,
I can do search action as a bonus action.
- Ooh!
- And I also have Eye for Detail,
so I'm going to use
one of those two things
to try to figure out what I
was supposed to see.
- Cool, give me an investigation check.
- Yeah.
Let's see, seven plus eight, a 15.
Investigation check.
- Lying on the floor,
as still as possible,
the entire heist depending
on your convincingness
as a comatose toy,
you glance up from the floor,
and see Felix's desk.
What do you see on Felix's desk?
- What do I, Travis McElroy see?
A peanut on a tray.
A peanut!
Son of a b*tch!
- A peanut on a tray.
- Oh!
- They're so high in calories
with very little nutritional content.
- Dylan is allergic to peanuts.
- I know!
- Griffin!
Okay, sh*t just got really real for,
for Car-Go.
- Is that the control
he has over the toys,
that he can k*ll the boy?
- Exciting, so all right, anyway.
- On the loading dock.
- On the loading dock, where is Boomer,
where are the boxes, what's this,
where are we at right now?
- Boomer's walking up to collect the boxes
from you right now, Boomer's
just had that revelation
about the camera in the hallway,
but he's walking up to you
to get a hand taking
the boxes off the truck.
- Can you, yeah,
can you give me a,
I only have four, so I apparently
I needed six hands just
to get 'em off the truck.
Can you—
Help?
- Ahh!
- Hey, thanks!
- That's an old gag, partner.
Give that back here.
- Does Boomer say anything to Rick
as he approaches, or does
he just take the boxes
and head back inside?
- Take the boxes, and Rick's
gonna hang in the car.
- So have you been
to outer space, I mean,
have you been to the moon, or, you know—
- Well, I'm a,
I'm a Clicko Man.
So no.
- Oh.
- That's insane.
- But you're an astronaut!
- Yeah, but it's a—
- I was completely convinced
by your performance
as an astronaut.
- Thanks, partner.
This is great.
- Have you ever thought of
doing community theater?
- I love how we're risking more detection
for this great banter.
I'm gonna let Boomer go.
- Cool.
- And can I hang back in the car
and do something?
- Absolutely.
- Okay.
- So Boomer, you grab the boxes
and begin to head back inside.
- Yeah.
- Cool, we'll move you,
you get back to right here.
And you've got both boxes in front of you.
- All right, I,
I'll take my action whenever.
I just wanted to let Boomer
get clear with the boxes.
- Cool, go ahead and take your action.
- Okay, I'm gonna yell down
to the guy in the window,
ah, g*dd*mn it, aw man.
sh*t.
There's one more box in here.
I, and the big boy's already gone,
could you help me out,
Clicko Man to Clicko Man?
Could you come in here
and help me with this box?
- You see he goes, he says,
we'll send somebody
out to give you a hand.
- Please, man.
I really, my boss is gonna be on my nuts.
This was, please, I
really could use the help.
- You see he goes,
yeah, we'll get someone out right now.
- Great.
- You see he calls in to the other room
to send somebody out to you.
You see Speed walk past you.
- No, I didn't want Speed!
I want that Clicko Man!
- Oh my!
- Why don't I even get a
chance to try and persuade him
if I was begging?
- Give me a DC 25 persuasion check.
- Oh my God!
- What do you gotta hit for this to work?
17 or higher?
- 17 or higher.
- That's doable.
- It's possible.
It's a 18.
- Oh my God!
- Nobody wants you, Speed!
Get the f*ck out of here!
- Get out!
- Oh my God!
- DC 25!
- I—
- Yeah!
- I mean, you f*cked me.
Yeah, you—
- You gave him the trade.
- Right, you
said in an earlier episode
you were unfuckable.
- Ah, it's true.
- That's the Incredible Dantes.
- No, no, no, he's the most f*ck.
- He's fun-f*ck.
- Cool yeah, that, so one of
the two guards in the booth
heads out to you.
- Wait, how did you,
do you have an infinity stone,
did that roll just change reality?
- Yeah.
- Change reality.
Yeah.
So one of the two guards
in the security booth
comes, is now, the guy
you were talking to,
the Clicko Man is walking
out to go help you.
- All right, great.
- That is, we're gonna go,
the next round, we're gonna be—
- I just figured out what
you're doing.
I got very excited.
- We are going to
- I think I know what you're going to do.
- Go more firmly into initiative order now.
Okay.
We are gonna start back at the top,
and now we're gonna be a little bit more,
now that things are really kicking off,
we're gonna get a little
bit more firm about this.
Agnes and Dantes,
what are you doing in the room right now?
- Is Felix not in there?
He walked out.
- No, Felix is right there.
- Oh okay.
So I think Agnes is kind of like,
whoa, whoa, whoa, she walks up to him,
and is like, wait a minute, you know.
- Mm-hmm.
- Now this needs to be a fair exchange,
you can't really
do something to my property
until I get, you know,
something from you.
So there'll be no face burning,
and as she does this, she
kind of touches his chest.
- Mm-hmm.
- And feels for the key
that's on his person.
- Whoa!
- Awesome, this is a key around his neck.
- Yeah.
- So this is gonna be a DC 25—
- You're not trying to,
are you trying to steal it right now,
or are you just trying to scope it?
- No, I'm just feeling to see,
oh, is it obvious where it,
can you visually see it?
- Well, you know it's around his neck.
- Oh, I knew it was around his neck.
- You knew it was around his neck,
that's wherever he keeps it.
- She just wants to get touchy to show
that she's a touchy person,
and feel exactly where it's at.
- Okay then actually,
go ahead,
go ahead, to kind of allay his suspicions,
go ahead and give me a persuasion check.
- Okay.
Boop-boop-boop.
Woo, 20 baby!
- Hell yeah, nat.
- You should have just f*ck' stolen it!
- You know what, now
that I think about it—
- 25!
- 25.
You see that Felix does what every sap
in your long, successful life has done,
which is see you as a cute little fairy
and completely underestimate you.
Your little grandma shtick,
you pat him up.
He, as—
- She was like, ooh, your muscles!
- Not bad, right?
- Ooh, I like!
Do you work out?
- I got two olives on a
toothpick out back, I just—
- Oh!
Let me feel it, Dantes,
come feel this!
- He says,
my pleasure!
- That's it, and it's like 20 minutes!
It's Brennan hitting on his f*ck' self!
- It's like one of the cartoons
where it zooms down through a heart,
and the it does, that's all, folks!
- Cool!
- Dantes and Felix.
- Both because of, you—
- Dantes just warms Felix's heart,
and Felix becomes a good guy.
- Yeah, Dantes
comes over and starts
feeling up Felix as well.
Incredible.
- And on the stack of books—
- He agreed not to bring Charger in
and burn his face, or anything.
Or Car-Go.
- You see that he takes a second.
It's like, he sort of was saying
that's what he was gonna do,
he hasn't given a direct
order to Tony yet.
So he's distracted with you
kind of patting him down.
And has not given a direct order.
- Okay.
- And looks charmed enough
by what you've said,
on a nat 20, that he's like,
he's, you see him settle in
like he's gonna have a conversation.
He's looking at comatose Car-Go,
and he's talking to you.
It seems very clear that
he feels like he's,
he's already taking his
victory lap in his head.
- Okay, cool.
- That's gonna be Boomer.
- He carries the boxes as
far as to the security room.
- Okay.
- And then kind of doubles over,
and oh!
Gives a big groan.
- Right out here?
Or in the—
- In the surveillance—
- Surveillance room.
- Surveillance room, yeah.
Right, isn't that where—
- 'Cause you want to drop
TI off in the server room,
but you're also worried about that camera
that's clocking you.
- Right, okay.
I couldn't remember if
we were dropping her
in the surveillance room or the server—
- Yeah, she can control
the security in here,
but the people looking at
you on camera doing stuff
are in here, camera is right here.
- Yeah, so we're going
for the server room.
- So I think that,
that he, okay, so he stops here.
- Mm-hmm.
- Wow, and it would not be, okay.
- Can he block it with his body?
- I was going to say,
the shell, the wings,
that he would expand his wings.
- Distraction.
- But he has to have
a reason for doing it.
- Mm-hmm.
- So I think he sets the box down.
- Mm-hmm.
- And has this big groan of pain,
and kind of grabs his abdomen
where Tony punched him.
- Yes!
- Oh!
Oh boy.
Oh!
It's the hernia!
Oh boy!
Oh, oh, oh I got,
and in the act of stretching,
he unfolds his wings.
- Mm-hmm.
- Which blocks the view of the camera.
- I'm gonna say, give me a,
this is, this is not,
I'm gonna say this is not
really you lying to someone,
you're kind of hamming it up here.
- So performance?
- Give me a performance check.
- Oh thank God.
- Woo!
- Nine, but wait!
Plus five for performance.
- And you roll with advantage.
- Oh!
- Oh boy.
- God, I love playing this game with you.
- It's worse.
- Nine and five, 14.
- 14, okay.
- We've already established
he is a shitty actor.
- If this is getting the
box in the room, right?
This may be a luck point situation.
If we, if he has—
- 14's convincing.
- This could, I worry this
could be a snowball effect
where if this does not
go off without a hitch,
things could—
- Do we need to decide to use a luck point
before you tell us if we failed or not?
- Yes, you do.
- Okay, this,
I'm worried this is going
to be a little old lady
who swallowed a fly situation,
where somebody comes out to check on him,
and then he has to—
- I think there's
so much more to do still.
- Yeah, but if he, but if we don't,
I do kind of agree with Griffin,
that if we don't get her in the room—
- I can get in the room quickly enough,
for them to get out here and—
- Could she get out of the box
and go through, into the room?
- I will say this to you guys.
What's gonna happen next on my end
is I'm gonna roll a contested roll
against that performance check
from the people in the surveillance room.
So let that factor into
your decision making.
They're gonna try to beat a 14
on effectively an insight check.
- Well, let's do it this way.
Let's just make it this way.
There's, it's a team luck point,
so let's just vote,
if we want to use here or not, right?
So who wants to use the luck point here.
Okay cool.
Oh wait.
- I'm down.
Oh, are we half and half now?
- Oh no!
- Oh, we don't have to do it.
- Yeah, let's skip it,
'cause I was reluctant.
- This is gonna be a Box of Doom roll.
- Ahh, see, we should have.
- If we get her in that room,
we have a lot of control
over every other situation
it feels like.
- These guys in the room
have a plus two insight.
On a 12 or higher,
they are gonna see something weird
in what Boomer is doing.
13.
- Oh!
- Oh you b*tches!
- Oh!
- Is that higher than 12?
- Yes.
- Is it though?
Yes it is.
- Check your math.
- Okay.
And as it happens, surveillance is next.
Door opens,
one of the surveillance team
walks out into the hallway.
Looks at you, Boomer, and goes,
pal, everything all right?
Are you hurt?
- Mm, ahh.
Right here, look, right?
Oh boy.
Oh, it's, oh man.
No.
I'm not.
It's lifting these boxes.
- Are you eating?
- I put a nut in my mouth,
I didn't know I was
gonna have to talk again.
Well maybe it's a little bile came up.
- Wretched.
Hey, you opened the door,
I just stepped through it.
- Incredible.
Bean, you are,
you're hearing this in the boxes.
It is your turn, you
have a readied action.
But again, so that you see that Boomer
has put the boxes down,
you're guessing you're probably
near the surveillance room,
or near the server room.
And you hear a surveillance guy,
it doesn't look like he beat that roll
by enough to be like, Boomer's in on it!
He doesn't even know that it
is a thing that's happening.
But definitely was like,
oh, I'm gonna go check,
this guy looks hurt.
- Are your wings still spread out?
- I would think so.
- Yeah, I think your wings
are still spread out.
- Is this,
a camera would probably spot
me if I did something wild
like punched a hole in the
box to push her box into the,
yeah, okay.
That's, I thought that was
a little too Tom and Jerry
for the current, yeah,
I mean, I don't, ahh.
- You can keep, delaying is not—
- I'm not gonna burn this Silence, right,
like this Silence is, if
the guy turns and goes,
hey, get,
then he's not actually going to do that,
he's going to say—
- Yeah.
And you—
- And could he reconvince him,
like now that they're
out having conversation,
he could do another—
- On Boomer's next turn, we'll see.
- Yeah, okay, I see.
- Delaying an action in
this particular combat
is never going to be a wrong
thing to do necessarily.
- Can I delay my entire turn?
- You can delay your entire my turn.
- I'm gonna delay my entire turn
so I can, you know,
then I'll do whatever
I need to do when we—
- Great.
Rick, that's you,
you're still waiting for the guard
to come out on his turn,
but you can also delay your action
or whatever you need—
- Yeah, I'll just wait 'til he comes out.
- Cool, great.
TI, what are you doing in your box?
- I'm not close enough to the door
that I can just cut a little
hole and sneak out, right?
- I mean, this guy, there's
a guy in the hallway
looking right at the boxes.
- And he'd see the door open, too.
- I thought we were behind his wings.
I guess it would—
- You're behind his
wings from that camera,
but not the security guy
who's out in the hallway.
- I gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
- Additionally,
the server room is also locked
and needs a keycard to access.
Boomer's gotta actually open the door.
- Ahh.
There's the rub.
Okay.
- And I can't, yeah,
I'm not gonna do anything.
- You delay your turn.
That is the guard's turn.
This guy, if someone wants to place him
next to Rick Diggins out by
the car, that'd be great.
- Sure!
- Guy comes out and says,
all right, pal.
What do we got going on?
- Yeah, it's up on the shelf here,
if you could help me out.
- You see that he climbs up and goes,
geez, I hear you man,
I got this boss just
always barking on the—
- It's the worst, right?
Is he reaching up to get it?
- He's reaching up to get it, yeah.
- Perfect, yeah.
From behind him, I bury my
pin in the back of his neck.
- No!
Oh my God!
So brutal!
- Go ahead and give me an attack roll.
- With advantage, right?
- With advantage.
- I wanted to make sure
he was reaching up, so—
- Yeah, give me
an attack with advantage.
- Do you have sneak attack?
- Yeah.
That's a 16.
- 16 plus what?
- Hmm.
I don't, one.
- Wait, no.
What?
For your attack bonus?
- For your attack bonus.
He, yeah, your strength is only 12.
And his dexterity is—
- Worse.
- Worse.
- Oh right!
Oh sh*t.
- 16 was the first one,
and then that's a three,
so that's worse, so 17.
- A 17's gonna hit.
- Okay, so, and then a sneak attack.
- I'm gonna tell you right now.
- Yeah.
- This guy's got eight hit points.
- Okay.
So I really want to make it count.
- If you can't drop this guy this turn,
this gets extremely bad.
- Yeah, that's why I
wanted the Clicko Man
and not the car!
- Yes, oh no, Speed
would have m*rder*d you.
This guy—
- Yeah, yeah, yeah!
- This guy's like, he's
not even really a guard,
he's a bureaucrat, he's
the guy who works the gate.
- That's why I think I
have a shot of k*lling him!
- This is why you've got a shot.
Incredible.
- So what's your sneak attack bonus?
- It's plus 2d6.
So I do one, my pin is,
what's the attack bonus?
- I think, well, the attack bonus,
you've already hit.
So it's 1d8 plus 2d6 plus one.
- If you can't get eight out of that.
- Don't say that, knock
on wood, knock on wood,
knock on wood.
- That's true, and you rolled sleep,
you got like five ones.
- This is so intense!
- You got it.
- Yeah, okay.
- Do you want 2d6 as well?
- Sure, yeah.
Just roll 'em all?
- Roll 'em, and
I'm gonna actually do this,
this is the Box of Doom for sure.
- Okay, all in the Box of Doom?
- We're gonna roll, I've never,
I'm trying to remember
if we've rolled damage
in the Box of Doom before.
- Come on, come on, come on.
- Six, eight, 10.
- Are you kidding me, yes!
- Yes!
- Woo!
- He dead.
- Oh, mama.
- He's, this little sort
of sweet Clicko Man—
- He's not sweet, he's one of
the bad guys. He's working for Felix.
- This Clicko Man goes up and says,
happy to help out, pal.
- I've never talked
about this, by the way,
it's just a thumbtack.
- It's just a full—
- It's a thumbtack that he has
that he can hold.
- I'm gonna say, because
this guy doesn't have blood,
you go up, he goes on
the shelf, he's like,
I'm not seeing a,
and the pin goes in
and you get under his head,
and pop his head up off his body.
- God, what happened to
you in that car seat?
- It got dark.
- Are you gonna take his body?
- Oh my God!
- Click! Click!
- Aah!
Okay!
- Can you do that now,
or is that another action?
- Oh, that's your action.
If you have bonus actions,
you're welcome to take them.
- Dash, disengage, dodge.
- Run away!
- Actually, can I,
buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh.
You know what I will do?
I will ready
a help action
for Boomer.
- Ooh.
- Can I do that?
For his next persuasion?
- Let me see.
Yep.
You can absolutely ready a
ranged help action for Boomer.
- Okay.
- Through, 'cause there's
a window, I'm realizing
there's a window from your car,
through the security booth
to the hallway past them.
You can actually see—
- Oh, I don't think
anybody in the building
can see in my car, Brennan, I don't think,
I don't want to establish that!
- No, no, no, no!
- In hindsight!
- And in hindsight, no,
your car is obscured from,
from the cameras and everything,
but when you hop out of the car,
you can take a move action
and hop out of the car,
and see Boomer to give him a help action.
- Okay.
- Holy
sh*t.
- God, I'm glad that worked.
It would have been so bad!
- Car-Go.
You're catatonic, you're
staring at this peanut
on this tray,
in this office.
- I'm so torn,
the thing is, is I think Car-Go feels
this need to be like, all right,
the whole plan is off.
That's a doomsday, it's like looking up
and seeing a nuclear weapon, you know,
just sitting there.
- Let me ask, did you really
not know anything about this?
Because your motivations
have obviously not been about
stealing a roll of
quarters this entire time,
which he hinted at as much,
and I think all of us
were there to hear it.
So I don't know if I,
if he would be—
- It feels like a retcon though,
because you definitely didn't know.
- I did not know, this was not,
this was not the secret motivation.
- But you knew that he was in danger.
- He knew he had,
you knew he had some sort
of leverage over the toys
that was, had something to do with Dylan.
- Yeah, but—
- Not this.
- This is—
- m*rder.
- Yeah, this is literally
like if you walked into,
if you said this mob boss
is taking over Chicago,
how is he influencing all these people?
And you walked in, literally
there was a nuclear m*ssile
sitting in the middle of the office.
You're like, wait, what the f*ck!
- You wouldn't run
towards a nuclear m*ssile,
it's like, clearly that's
been there a while.
- I think that all of this is
playing out in Car-Go's head
as that extremely damning
thing that Rick said
in one of his darker moments,
where he warned every
other thief in the crew,
for us, this is a job,
for Car-Go, it's personal.
- Yeah.
- And you're staring at this peanut,
doing whatever the robot
equivalent of sweating is
on the floor of Felix's bedroom.
- I think, can I ready an action?
- Yeah, you can ready an action.
- I think that,
that if sh*t goes down,
I'm gonna sneak attack
whoever's closest to me.
- Great.
And that's gonna be Tony right now.
- Yeah.
- Awesome.
Minetta...
Minetta looks at, with disgust at Felix,
she looks at you, Agnes
- No!
- I thought fairies
were supposed to help good people.
And
rushes out of the door,
and starts to head down the hallway.
- She's in the hallway,
okay, interesting.
- That's gonna go
back to the top of the order.
Agnes and Dantes.
Dantes is just pawing Felix.
My, my, my!
I mean, if I can feel obliques
through a sports coat—
What's Agnes doing?
- So I think Agnes wants
to keep them in the room,
she doesn't want them to
go out and show anything,
'cause that'll lead to
them seeing everybody,
so she's like, why don't we, you know,
if we're doing business, let's sit down,
let's have a drink, let's talk.
- Felix nods, you see that his guy goes
and starts pouring drinks
for you guys over there.
Cool, that's like a free
action for you to suggest that.
You've already rolled a nat
20 on your persuasion, so—
- Okay, cool, cool.
Yeah, I wonder if I want
to try for the key again.
Mm, 'cause then we need time
to get it out to somebody too.
I think I'm going to, can I
delay my turn?
- If you, yeah, you can ready an,
do you want to ready an action
to try to pickpocket?
- Yeah.
- Felix?
- Yeah.
- Okay, awesome.
What's gonna be the condition
that will trigger your action,
what are you waiting for, in other words?
- I don't know.
- Wait, why am I waiting?
- Why am I, I'll go for it now.
- Okay.
- Yeah.
- Cook, as you're, as you see,
he turns his head for a second
to go look,
to go look for that,
and you see that Dantes looks over at you,
he gives you the help action.
And you see—
- Oh, cool.
- So you go ahead and roll with advantage
on a pickpocket check.
- Okay.
- Is it double, do you already get—
- It's a sleight of hand,
and I have plus nine with,
oh, so is this double advantage?
- So you need to hit a
16 or higher, it's not,
it's only ever advantage.
- Jesus.
- It's only ever advantage.
Go ahead and roll.
You need a 16 or higher,
and you see that right as you go for it,
Dantes just takes a scaly claw
and just cups Felix's ba*ls.
- Oh my—
- ba*ls!
- He just goes like, I love this!
What is this fabric?
- Distraction!
- All right, Dantes!
- And you definitely
have advantage on this roll.
- Okay!
11 plus nine, 19, or 20!
- 20, you need a 25.
- Oh Jesus.
- Oh f*ck.
Four plus nine.
- I'm gonna say that this is
where I would use a luck dice—
- I would too.
- I think so, I feel good about that.
- It is a,
it's a 25 percent chance that we get it.
But I mean, if this goes,
I just wanted to state the obvious,
it's a 25 percent chance that
we're gonna pull this off.
- Okay,
am I using it?
- We wouldn't use it on easy rolls, right?
- Yeah, that's true.
- Yeah, let's go for it.
- sh*t!
- f*ck, a seven.
- Use it again.
- Plus nine.
- Cool.
That is Agnes and Dantes.
- Ah, f*ck.
- Felix pours you a drink.
- Oh, he doesn't notice it?
He just, it just doesn't happen.
- Oh yeah, this is, he
does not notice that—
- Oh, thank God!
- Oh my God, I thought
he was gonna be like—
- No, no, no, no.
This is like,
this is literally your skill
and getting it off.
If you had rolled below a 20,
he would have noticed.
- Oh, thank Jesus.
Okay.
- If you had rolled
significantly below that,
he would have spotted you.
- Oh, okay.
- But you're being very careful.
- Then that's not bad, then.
- We also still need the padlock code,
which is somewhere in here, right?
- The padlock code is somewhere
in this room, absolutely.
- Oh, okay.
- Yeah, we also need
to, once we get the key,
figure out a way to get it
out without him noticing.
There's a lot going on.
- Yeah, you see that—
- It's almost like it's a heist.
- Felix walks away from you,
over here,
I will actually also say,
you can, you,
only because we covered this last time,
remember that you have
the quick fingered feat.
- Oh, that's right, as a bonus action.
- As a bonus action, so you can make
more than one check a round.
- Okay.
- I just wanted to remind you,
'cause we covered that last—
- So I have one more time,
just keep feeling this guy out?
Or—
- If you want to, you can.
- Do it again!
- Yeah, f*ck, I'll do it again.
- Does she roll with advantage again?
- Yes.
- Okay, good.
- Okay.
- Okay, here we go.
- 20!
- Nat 20!
- Sick, he never had that key!
- You see that, as he turns away,
you go for it, it's too risky.
You make your first grab,
touch, and you go,
and then you see that Felix turns around,
looks at the turtle and says,
Dantes, a little over-familiar,
and shoves the turtle away.
- No, not—
- No!
- Roll again, not at the cost of Dantes!
- Roll to k*ll Felix!
- And he rolls over on his shell,
and he's just like,
rocking back and forth.
- In that moment, where he goes out,
you see the, you actually see on bare skin
the little silk thread,
and you slip a finger, whew,
and it comes off his head,
as you go for Dantes to help him back up.
One swift motion, it is vanished.
- Is that two nat 20s in two rolls?
Jesus.
- Crazy.
But that is your action and bonus action.
And Felix moves away from
you to go take a seat.
Tony stays here with Car-Go.
This guy walks over to
give you guys some drinks.
Boomer, that's you, baby.
- Okay.
I,
we prepared the boxes
that we put them in, right?
- Yes.
- Okay.
Then why are we wasting all
this deception and persuasion,
could he not be delivering the box
to that room?
Could we, could it not
be written on the box?
- That's just against protocol
for what this space is.
In other words,
crates never just go sit in
the server room, undelivered.
When crates get delivered,
they either stay
on the loading dock to get sorted,
or they, if they are
extremely high priority,
they go all the way to the end of the hall
to wait by the—
- So I would say, you
could convince the dude
that it goes in the server room,
but you'd have to convince him.
- Okay.
I think that
he's gonna say,
oh look, pal, I can finish, you know,
hauling these things,
but I'm just gonna need
a little breather.
There's a place to sit inside
the server room, right?
- Oh, you want to go get some of the AC?
A little colder in there?
- I just want to chill for a minute
and, you know, get my wind back,
so I can get the packages
the rest of the way down.
Help a brother out, will you?
- Give me a persuasion check,
you're doing this with advantage
because of the help action from Rick.
- Lucky 13, plus three, is 16.
- Roll with advantage.
- Five, we'll stick with 16.
- So with a 16,
you see he looks and says,
says,
Boomer, it's no sweat.
Go take a seat in the server room.
I'll take care of these
boxes, you're good.
- Well, nah, no, no, listen.
You've got a lot to do.
I don't mind hauling the boxes,
I just need to sit down
for a couple of minutes.
Just take a little break.
- He says, yeah, go take a seat,
we'll grab these, you're fine.
- Well, yeah, but I mean.
They're kind of my responsibility,
I signed out for 'em.
I mean, I'm the guy that
put the name on the list,
and I really would feel more comfortable,
just let me just take them in there with me—
- I think what you're seeing is the result
of your dice roll, I don't think
you get to double persuade.
- You see him-
- You guys can't lift this.
- Oh, that's good.
Now see, that's a good line.
- You can't, there's no way
you guys can lift these boxes.
- There's kids in here!
They're chock-a-block full of kids!
- He looks at you and says,
yeah, I'm crazy.
I'm gonna run down to the break room
and get you some help.
And you see that he—
- Ah, there's cake, too.
- He says, you got it, Booms.
- Cake.
- And he takes, he just
walks down the hallway.
I just pulled his torso off.
Little Clicko Man.
- Oh God, don't let Rick see that.
- He walks down
here into the break room,
starts talking to these guys.
You have taken your action
in that persuasion check.
You still have your movement,
if you would like it.
- Mkay.
- He's about to get guys to help,
just f*cking throw me in there.
- I'm just, yeah, I think he
just puts the box in that room.
- Hell yeah.
You swipe your key card,
and you just shove the box into that room.
- Is this your box?
- That's TI in there.
And then you can start
moving down the hallway
with the other box, if you'd like.
- Okay, I think that's what he does.
He moves down this way.
- You see Minetta there,
who is like,
looks just a thousand yard
stare, she looks up at you,
and says,
I can't believe they got Car-Go.
- Yeah.
I, you know, I'm sure he's okay.
You know, Felix is a pretty forgiving guy.
You know, he's,
you know, he'll, I think he'll probably
let him off the hook,
you know, I don't think
anything bad's gonna happen
to Car-Go, do you?
- She could help us?
- Bye, Boomer.
And she heads off down
the hallway as well.
You see she walks past you,
you head six more squares
down this way with the box.
Before sliding the box in there,
there are still two
surveillance guys in the room.
I'm gonna ask you to make
a stealth check for me,
if you'd be quick, just
scooting the box in there.
- I'm sure you're good at that.
Stealth.
- To do what, now?
- Just for you to flash the card,
move the box in there.
- Into that room?
- Into the server room.
Just to do as surreptitiously as possible.
- All right, this is the server room.
- Yes.
- Yes.
- This is the surveillance room.
- That's correct.
- Where there is no camera?
- There is no camera in here,
there,
there is no camera in here either.
- They don't have a camera
in the surveillance room.
- That's correct.
- But they can see what's going on.
- Yeah.
- Yeah.
16 plus two,
that's 18.
- Woo!
- Okay.
This is gonna be a Box of Doom.
- 18 is rarely good enough for Brennan,
he has very high expectations.
- No, he has to roll to beat it, though.
- I have to roll to beat it.
These guys in the surveillance room
have a plus five on their perception.
- What?
- They surveil professionally.
- It's their job, for sure.
- On a 13 or higher,
the guys in the surveillance room
are going to see you
do your keycard and move
that into the server room.
- I really don't like it when you do that.
- I hate it when you don't tell us!
That's wrong.
- So what was it?
Oh, this is embarrassing.
You forgot to say what it was.
- How embarrassing!
- We're on video, Brennan.
- We are on video.
Surveillance, that's Boomer.
- Can she take her action
now that she's in the room?
- You had, have you
readied an action, right?
- She delayed her turn.
- She delayed her turn, right?
- She delayed her turn.
- So she can hop back in whenever, right?
- That's right, you can
pop back in whenever.
TI, you can go immediately.
- Okay, great.
I pop out of the box and I use
the code that I got to get on the server.
- So just so I remember,
from when we played last time,
once we trigger the server with the code,
we have 10 minutes.
- 10 minutes.
- Correct. Yep.
- Okay.
And so far, and so that is,
we have the key.
- Mm-hmm.
- The physical key,
and we have,
from her, she can disable the
electronic lock from there.
- Can I ask, once I'm on the server,
can I do many technological things?
Can I lock doors and things like that?
- There's very little
limit to what you can do
from the server room.
- Amazing, okay.
- Can she access the cameras?
- Yeah.
- Yeah, you can access the cameras.
- Absolutely.
- The surveillance people
would almost certainly
take note of that, right?
If the cameras all shut down?
- No, they wouldn't shut down,
I would just have it play old footage.
- 'Cause we, I would say that,
I would say that if we
were planning this heist,
the first thing you should do
is access the cameras to know,
'cause you still have a thing,
and you can say I'm not at the vault yet.
And you have, so we can stay in—
- But I might do things
like lock this door
and just gas the room.
- Yeah, let her get buck wild,
we don't need to—
- Yeah.
Yeah, we just want to make sure
we don't pop off too early.
- I mean, I don't know
how much time we have
before these guys get to me,
I want to do as much as I can
while I'm in the room.
- So yeah, you
pop out of this crate, blam.
- Oh, I haven't seen you yet!
- I'm very cute.
- Oh, that's amazing!
- As you pop out of the crate,
what's the first thing you're
gonna take an action doing?
Are you going to try to lock the door?
Or are you going to start
hacking to the cameras?
- How long does it take to lock the door?
It's like so quick, right?
Is that a whole action?
- That would be a whole action.
- Then I get, just go straight on,
on to the server.
- Cool.
You log on to the server.
Logging on to the server, you can do,
and immediately do something on there.
So you, the action you take
as you log into the server
with the administrative password,
you can then either lock the,
like, it's basically like,
you can one cool
technological thing per turn.
- I can't lock multiple doors?
- No, you cannot lock multiple doors.
- Okay then, I barricade
myself in this room.
- Cool.
You leap out, administrative password,
10 minutes go on the clock.
And you, shwoom,
seal that door, that
door now cannot be access
through keycards.
- Which door, which door?
- To the, she locked herself in the—
- I don't get to do anything else,
just one more thing?
- Do you have any bonus
actions you can take?
- How does that, how does that work?
- If you have any spells that
say bonus action on them,
you can do them.
- Okay, nevermind.
- Next, right after you
go, surveillance goes.
This guy walks out the door,
looks at you, Boomer, and goes,
The crate in the server room?
Where's that supposed to go?
- The crate in the server room
is the crate for the server room.
I don't know, it said server on it.
And this one says surveillance on it.
So I just figured it
was supposed to go here.
- The crate was marked
for the server room?
Weird, all right, thanks, Boomer.
You see that he walks over to this room.
Swipes his key card.
Door does not open.
Now—
- I'm really glad you locked that door.
- That was the right move.
- Yeah, absolutely!
- You see he swipes it, I'm gonna roll
a little luck check right now.
- No way.
I've got a 23!
You can't get better than that.
- I've gotta take a
picture of this, sorry.
- Did you get a nat 20?
- Can we use our luck dice
to make you roll again?
- Oh, I got a nat one.
- Yay!
- Oh, that door kills you!
- You see he swipes his keycard,
you see he goes,
he goes, bleep.
Bleep.
He goes,
this f*ck' thing is
always doing this sh*t.
And you see he starts to walk
towards the security booth.
My f*ck' card!
And ends his turn down here.
Bean, you're still in the box over here.
- Yeah, as much as I'd love
to play Dungeons and Dragons,
I still feel like it's not great for me
to get out of that box quite yet.
- I hear you.
- Listen, you're playing
the role of the grease
really, really well.
- Thanks.
- Stay in the box.
- I mean, I still want to have my action
out of turn to hop in
whenever sh*t pops off.
- When they put that guy
in the box in Ocean's 11,
nobody talked about the
hours that actor had to spend
waiting in a box.
- Yeah. It's true.
- Rick, that's you.
- Great.
So what's this guy's name?
- Give me an investigation check.
- I mean, it's on his name tag.
What kind of investigation is that?
- I'm gonna roll a luck check
to see if this guy has a name tag.
- This is a roll of doom for a name,
roll, a Box of Doom for a name tag!
- That's stupid!
- It's like 11 through
20, he's got a name tag.
- You are devaluing the Box of Doom.
- This is like Paul Hollywood handshakes
in the last season of GBBO.
It's like Jesus Christ, man.
Two in a row?
He's got a name tag.
- Yay!
His name is Rick Diggins.
No relation.
- Make him Paul Hollywood.
- This guy's name is Rip Duggins.
- Rip Duggins, perfect, great.
Perfect.
- He's a stunt man and—
- I had a band teacher named,
named Rup Duggins, was it?
- Rip Duggins?
- Rip Duggins.
- Rip Duggins.
Cool.
What does Rick do on his turn?
- Rip, Rick,
whoops.
Rick becomes Rip.
- What's that transplant,
is that, is it in your head,
is your,
is your soul in your head,
and you put the head on the—
- No, it's more like,
I take his legs off,
and then I put 'em on my chest, right?
- Right.
- And then I take my chest off,
and I put him on the legs.
And then I take my head off,
and I put his head on my head.
And then I'm Rip Duggins.
- But where was Rick?
- Don't think about it too hard
It's all Rick.
Rick was in our hearts.
- But all of Rick is on
the floor of the bus now.
- We are not digging into this question!
- We're four steps in, we
can't start questioning
Justin's mechanics!
- Okay, go ahead and
take dead Rip in there,
and if you want to take
a double move action,
you're absolutely wel- or where,
what do you want to do,
where do you want to go?
- I'm just gonna head back to the booth.
- Hell yeah.
- And do you let us
know over sending stones
that you do that?
- I mean,
you probably.
- I'm Rip now.
- I mean, yeah,
I could probably do that.
We are assuming, right, the
stones are not heard by—
- No, the stones, and actually,
even in the way that
the item is described,
they are heard only by the person.
They're like, you guys
basically have surveillance—
- Yeah, I've, okay, I've
related this information to them
and I'm headed to the booth.
- Cool.
- Don't k*ll Rip Duggins!
It's me!
- Okay, so then we also,
we know that the, she's in the,
or at least, Agnes.
Boomer knows, 'cause he put her in there.
TI, so Car-Go's the only one
without an ear piece, but—
- Yeah.
Let's go ahead,
move Rip in.
You can, if all you're
doing is moving this round,
you can move 75 squares.
So I'll say you can just
move all the way back—
- Do they, oh yeah.
Do they know that I'm in
the surveillance room?
- Yeah, they do.
You're in the server room.
- Server room, 'cause I've told them that?
- Yeah.
You walk, you're walking
past the surveillance guys,
went into the room,
you see another surveillance
guy in the break room
being like, hey guys,
Boomer needs a hand carrying
some, carrying some crates.
You head back in.
Yeah, so Rick, you just spent your turn
getting back to the booth.
Do you say anything when you get in there?
- Oh, let me ask you this,
what,
what would I have access
to from this booth?
- What would you have
access to from this booth?
- Yeah, like in terms of
the rest of the facility.
- There's not too much tech stuff in here,
but there's a bunch of
ledgers and paperwork
about who they're expecting
and who's supposed to arrive.
- Communications?
Is there, would I be able to,
this is probably some sort of—
- Yeah, there's some internal walkies,
there's a PA that probably goes to Felix,
or goes to people in
the surveillance room.
- And access to the gate,
I assume too, right?
- Yeah there's, you can
raise and lower the gate
from in here as well.
- I'm guessing on one of those ledgers
is the car that
you were just driving
that is on its way here,
I don't know if that, if it tells—
- That is why, that is
what I'm trying to solve.
- You don't want to help him get the box?
- We've all got a lot of—
- Yeah, we've got a
lot of spinning plates.
- You walk in, you see that a little,
the tiny, little gray Clicko Man goes,
Heh.
Pretty good, all right.
You, I might do another coffee.
I like to smear it on my face.
- 'Cause they don't eat.
- You're nasty, but I love it.
I love it.
Yeah, and because I have,
because I was waiting
out there and listening,
I feel like I've been with
this guy for a minute,
which I think is,
I can, it helps me to impersonate him.
- Yeah.
- Honestly right now, I'm playing it cool.
I'm in this position, I am here.
- Yeah, I'm gonna say—
- I'm like, I don't have a
thing that I'm trying to do,
just like, well, I'm—
- You're in your own cargo box.
- Yeah.
- Sure, yes.
- Exactly.
- A spiritual cargo box.
- A spiritual cargo box!
Cool, yeah, you make it back to that area.
You see this guy
walks back out.
- Is he a Clicko Man too?
- He's a Clicko Man too.
- These are all Clicko.
- These are all little Clickos.
Boomer, you see a couple of security guys
come up behind you and say,
Boomer, you need a hand?
- No, I think I can get this last one.
I've just gotta, you know,
get it in this little room here.
- Oh cool, give me a persuasion check.
This is not gonna be a very high DC.
- You're taking it to the vault, right?
- Yeah, he's taking
that one to the gallery.
- Did I take your—
- Oh, I'm taking—
- Yeah, we need to get him to the vault.
- Okay, well then, let me rephrase.
No, I got it.
I'm good.
- Okay.
Go ahead and give me a persuasion check,
this is gonna be a very low DC,
you're not, you know.
- Good damn thing.
- Say DC 10.
- Seven plus three, 10.
- Woo, baby!
You see they go.
All right, they're just like, yeah,
I'm psyched not to do work.
- Yeah.
- And these two guys
start to turn back around.
That's gonna be Car-Go.
- Okay.
So.
I'm excited to use, once again,
my roguish archetype.
- Mm-hmm.
- So I'm looking into his office, right?
This is the office area.
I'm going to Eye for
Detail as a bonus action,
I'm gonna use a wisdom perception check,
which isn't great,
but to spot a hidden creature or object,
to see if the code
is anywhere just tacked up
on the wall or something.
- Today's code!
- Yeah, today's code!
- You can absolutely do that, you—
- Or I'm gonna take that back,
investigation check to
uncover or decipher clues,
would that—
- I mean, if this isn't the definition
of what that ability is.
- Yeah.
- I will say this,
you have a very good investigation score,
but you are pinned to the ground
and unable to move or search.
This is the definition of
disadvantage in the game.
- Mm-hmm.
- So you are gonna roll
this with disadvantage,
and I'm gonna say
that this is a DC 20 check
to spot the clue in the room.
- Do you have advantage
normally on investigation?
- I don't know, you all seem
to know if we do or not.
- You do not normally have advantage—
- It's marked on our sheets.
- Yeah.
- Four.
That's not gonna do it.
- Cool.
You're scanning the room
as desperately as you can.
- That one would've been a five.
- Do you have anything
similar to Quick Finger
that allows you to do
bonus action search checks?
- Yeah, I also have
Researcher that lets me search
as a bonus action, so—
- So you can do two of these
checks around if you need to.
- Oh my God.
- Two!
- Two!
- Oh, that would've been a
10, that would've been better!
- Car-Go, that's your turn.
You see that Minetta walks
out to the loading dock.
You wanna go put her
out by the front there?
- There you go.
- Well, I know she's out.
- No!
- My God!
- Agnes and Dantes, that's you guys.
- I think Agnes'll also
kind of look around the room
to see if there's any clues
for a pad, padlock number.
- So you right now are in
kind of the bedroom area,
and Felix is motioning you to come over
and take a seat, to talk with him.
You know the padlock's
probably in his office
around the corner.
- Okay.
Agnes, does she have her drink yet?
- Yeah, you see that the
sort of steward over here
has handed you a drink.
- Oh she, so she takes a sip and she says,
oh my God, you know how us girls are,
this goes right through me.
Can I use your bathroom?
- You see he looks at you and says,
oh, go ahead and give
me a deception check,
if you'd be so kind.
- God, I forgot about the fact—
- Wait, what if she really
does have to use the bathroom?
But is it a deception—
- A persuasion check.
What's his insight on needing to urinate.
- Otherwise you piss your pants.
- Yeah.
- Five.
- Where did those 20s go?
- Five plus four.
- Five plus four.
That is your deception.
- He says I can't use the bathroom?
- That's just f*cked up.
- That's cruel!
- He's got a plus five insight.
- Into urination based lies.
- He nasty.
- He nasty!
- Well, he's gonna know,
you're gonna take a sip and then say
that you have to go to the bathroom,
he's gonna sense that
something's up with that.
- That's still crazy.
- Maybe she was right almost at full?
- Does he not know about the elderly?
We have to pee all the time!
- So on a, if he hits a four or higher.
14.
- Ah!
I was gonna say he has to
roll with piss-advantage.
- Piss-advantage.
- Prove it!
Right now!
- He looks at you—
- Pee a little bit in your pants.
- He looks at you, his eyes narrow,
and he says,
why so nervous, Miss Agnes?
Why don't you go ahead and take a seat?
- Okay, sure, yeah.
- How bad of a dude do you have to be!
- To not let an old lady piss!
- Go to the bathroom!
- I have to pee!
No!
In fact, you're acting weird!
- Take a seat, but don't
sit on the expensive—
- Can she take a pee action?
- I want the other people in the room
to roll to see if they want
to keep working for Felix
after they witness this!
I want them to sincerely—
- Felix, I know we're bad guys but—
- This is like so wild.
- Telling an old woman—
- No!
- Piss!
- No one pees in my bathroom but me!
- Wait, couldn't the Incredible
Dantes give her advantage,
like I saw her drinking a bunch—
- You see that Dantes
looks over at you and says,
my dear Felix, you've got no idea!
She's like a leaking hot water bottle!
I mean, truly!
Left and right!
This lady's pissin' like
a race horse, non stop!
- And this carpet is so nice!
You don't want it ruined!
- Does she get to roll
again with that advantage?
- You get to roll with advantage,
you may roll—
- Thanks Dantes, you nasty turtle.
- Nasty turtle!
Okay, so nine plus four.
- No, that's with your advantage.
- So, no no, that was your advantage.
- Oh, that was my advantage.
- Nine plus four is 14.
- 13.
- Dude needs a nine or higher to clock it.
- Wait, didn't you
already do your roll?
- He rolled a five.
- Woo!
- Don't fight it, don't fight it!
- I can go to the bathroom.
- You see looks and says,
Tony, take her to the bathroom.
- Oh, thank you, thank you so much.
- Where are we?
Okay.
- You can, so Tony's gonna accompany you.
You can start heading to the bathroom.
- Which is where?
- In the break room.
- Oh.
- Oh.
- So you guys—
- It's this spongy couch,
everybody just kind of, it's
an unspoken thing.
- It smells terrible.
- So you guys walk,
are now walking past
Boomer on your way out.
- Okay.
- Oh, so you can do the key handoff.
- I do my bonus action, which is to do
my sleight of hand to hand, I can hand,
plant something as well.
- And she should have advantage,
because I have two empty hands
while I'm carrying the
box with the other two.
- I think she
already has advantage.
- Go ahead and roll your
sleight of hand check.
- Okay.
12 plus nine.
- 21.
- 21, there we go.
- You, actually give
me, you have advantage,
let's see if you crit.
- Okay.
- We can just see.
- Could be a 20.
- No, I eat sh*t.
- As you're walking past,
that key, Boomer, one of
your lower set of hands
feels a cold piece of
metal go into your hand.
As you continue along,
you head to the bathroom.
Ooh, what a slick move!
- Woo!
- Heist, heist, heist!
- Thank God we brought Dantes!
- Yeah!
- You nasty turtle.
- Dantes is giving you
advantage on everything!
We've gotta protect Dantes.
- You actually, as you
leave, you hear Dantes says,
so, while we're waiting
for Agnes to get back
from the little girls room,
what month were you born in?
You see that—
- Would you do some pushups?
- Felix starts
talking to Dantes,
Boomer, that's you.
Wow, what a handoff,
just in the nick of time!
- Carries the crate the rest of the way.
- Yeah.
You do a double move, no sweat.
As you turn the corner—
- Yikes!
- A little hitch in the plan.
You see a guard stationed down—
- That's a big boy.
- Oh!
With a rapier!
- That is a big, beefy boy.
- What type of cheese is he named after?
- That's Lou Gorgonzola.
- You make it
all the way down here
with the vault.
- Are the cameras still rolling?
- Don't know yet.
- Okay.
- They are,
because I haven't done anything.
- Okay.
- Yes, the cameras are still
rolling, but you walk down,
this guy's name is Bubs.
You see he looks over at you and goes,
eh, hey,
how's it going, Boomer?
How you doin'?
- Oh, Bubs.
- Yeah!
- Wow.
- They brought me out
'cause they needed extra
people working shifts,
you know, it's crazy.
Beautiful art.
- Yeah, this is a great, look at it.
This was the expressionist movement.
- Are we hearing this?
- Do we have to?
- Well, Bean's got a hearing stone.
- Yeah, everybody's hearing this.
- I couldn't remember if he had it or not.
- I have one in the box.
- Oh, perfect, okay.
- Okay.
- TI, that's you.
- All right.
I patch in all the cameras to show footage
from three hours ago
that is safe.
- I'm gonna make each camera—
- A separate check?
- A separate check.
- That's okay.
- Which camera are you hitting first?
Bear in mind,
there's a big risk
if you hit a camera,
like, if this camera goes from
seeing all two of the guards
and a box, and goes to
an empty hallway, that's
gonna be possibly noticeable
from the surveillance room.
- And they're all staring
at it, they all notice?
- I mean, there's only one
dude in there right now, right?
- There is only one dude in the
surveillance room right now.
So you probably get
disadvantage on that check.
- He can't look at everything at once.
- He's got a lot of screens to look at.
- Yeah.
- I would say start with
the vault camera, but...
- There's a camera in the vault?
- There's the one pointed right—
- Right there,
that's gonna cover
that whole room that Bean
needs to get through.
- Oh, so it would take two
turns to shut down both,
that's what you're,
oh, okay, okay, okay, okay.
- Darn, their cameras
aren't all connected?
I can't all patch them all
through the old footage?
- No.
Under no circumstance!
- Ugh, Brennan.
- If she were Catherine
Zeta Jones, you'd let her.
- No, you can't patch
them all at the same time.
- It's just the one guy in there?
Is he, does he have
walkie talkies linking him
to other security people?
- Yeah, he has walkie talkies and stuff
linking him to other people.
- I can't just shut him in the room?
- If you want to shut
him in the room, you can.
- But then he could just
walkie talkie and be like—
- What's going on?
Trapped in the room.
Yeah.
- Okay.
Great, let me have this show old footage,
so he never even sees anyone in there.
- Awesome.
Go ahead and give me a tech check.
- Are these cameras sight only?
Or are they also sound?
- Nice.
- These are sight only.
- 14 plus eight.
22.
- You get a nice, solid
loop of that empty gallery,
it's so seamless that there's not even
a transition for them to roll to notice.
You, so whoom,
that is invisible to
the surveillance room.
The gallery and the vault are off line.
- And I can let people know that
without using an action, okay, great.
- Yeah, you can hit them
with the hearing stone.
- Great.
- Totally fine.
- I have to keep track of our progress!
- Surveillance.
This guy walks in here.
Surveillance, this guy
is gonna start walking
back to the surveillance room.
- Wait, who came in here with me?
- The surveillance guy.
- One of the surveillance guys came in.
You see that this guy walks in there,
you see he goes,
my keycard's acting up again.
I don't know what's going on,
I tried to get into the server room,
we got a weird, one-off delivery in there,
and I'm trying to get
in just to check it out
to see what's going on.
- f*ck!
- Can I get a different keycard?
- Yeah, no problem, partner.
Here, give me that one,
and I'll—
- Stall.
- I'll fix it.
- Great, go ahead
and give me a deception check.
- That's a d12, there's—
- You did it again!
- Put it away!
- There's my d20 over there!
- That's, that was not a roll,
that was me, my dad gave me a stinky die.
- Don't even count that.
- Yeah, that's how I roll.
A one.
- You are actually though impersonating,
which you do get advantage on.
- Yeah, let's go with that.
A 15.
Plus...
Six, so 21.
- 21, this guy's not got great insight.
He rolled a five.
He looks over at you and says,
great, you don't have a
spare one around now, do you?
- No, but honestly, if
you want to hang out
in the break room for five minutes,
I can get it all fixed up for you.
- Okay, yeah, I'll hang for five.
- Tell him about the cake!
- There's cake that is
inedible to us Clicko Men.
- Eh, I don't know, I'll
smear some on my face—
- I'm nasty.
- I'm nasty.
- I said nasty, I actually wrote
down in a previous session,
keep it medium nasty or less,
and I've used it too much.
Said nasty too much.
- Cool.
Buh-buh-bum.
That's Bubs.
That's surveillance, boom.
- Did the gray, the gray tiny Clicko Man,
who I'm assuming is a
child, a Clicko Child—
- Uh huh.
- Did he go in the break—
- It's bring your Clicko to work day.
- He said he was going to!
- Oh, to go get some coffee?
- Yeah!
- Smear it on his face.
- He does go get some coffee.
- I thought he had left,
I just wanted to say if I'm in here alone.
- Otherwise he'd be like,
yeah, I can fix your keycard.
- And you're in here
too, in the break room?
- No, he didn't—
- I'm just here in the—
- It's hard to tell now,
because he's dressed exactly like every—
- I forgot which one he is!
- You're the only person
in the surveillance room?
- You hear a guard—
- No, in the booth.
- So Bean, you hear a guard—
- Security booth?
- He's in the security—
- Yeah.
- Bean, you hear a guard
where there's not supposed
to be one, Boomer talking to him.
And you get TI saying that
the vault camera's up,
but you know that there's a
camera still trained on you
in this hallway.
- Cool, I continue developing bedsores
inside of this cool box!
- Inside of
this cool f*ck' box.
- I mean, right, there's no
way I'm going to be able to,
I couldn't sneak out of
the box into the vault
with a camera trained on
me, and a guard, you know,
millimeters away, right?
- No.
You probably, yeah, I mean,
I mean, you would need
an insane stealth roll
to be able to—
- I'm capable of
generating those sometimes.
- But not all times.
- But not all the time,
and I think I'm just still
counting on, I mean—
- Do you get advantage—
- At this point, could he get, yeah—
- Boomer?
- Help from Boomer,
distracting the guard
while he creeps out the box?
- It's up to you,
if you are worried about time,
you can make moves right now.
It will be tremendously risky.
- This is me, Griffin, wanting
to do something more than,
so I can, I've delayed this long.
I'm gonna keep on going.
- Great.
- Hopefully on the next turn,
it will be resolved.
- Car-Go?
You—
- By the way, this,
I'm going to step out of this box
and trip over my own a*s or something
and fall into it, like, time for Bean to—
- Oh no!
- Car-Go, that's gonna be you.
You can, are you continuing
to make search checks?
- Yeah, I mean, until we have that code—
- Mm-hmm.
- Right, we can't pop off,
and if,
if Dantes is distracting Felix—
- Mm-hmm.
- What's the other,
what's the other steward in there doing?
- Literally looking at
your body on the ground.
- Yeah.
Weirdo.
All right.
- Here comes some
disadvantage search check,
you need to hit that 20.
- Nope.
Nope, that's a six.
So that's not gonna work,
then I'm gonna use Researcher
for my bonus action.
- You just need two good d20 rolls.
- Yeah.
- In a row.
And you're not getting them.
- No, Jesus Christ!
- That dice is dumb, by the way.
Do you want to use my blue, oh,
you got a gold one.
- Brutal.
Agnes and Dantes, that's you.
- Hmm.
I don't really need to go to the bathroom.
- But listen, you might as
well, as long as you're stopped.
- As long as you're here.
- As long as you're here.
- Crime can take a while.
- I'm trying to get to this room
to look around the office,
but now this guy's escorting me.
- There is a window that looks
into Felix's office right there.
If you want to, on your way out,
you can get one glance basically
if you want to make a perception check.
- Yeah, maybe I'll do a
quick glance into the office
and see what's up.
- Cool, same thing, DC 20,
you can use investigation
or perception.
But you're already
rolling with disadvantage.
- Please see it, 'cause
I'm never going to.
- I thought of something I could have done
on my turn that—
- Oh, while you're looking at that,
what's the thing you would
have done on your turn?
- I need to get the key from Boomer
in case I do need to slip out of there.
Would it be an easier
stealth check for me to
poke a finger out of the box
to get the key and get it inside?
- Go ahead and give me
a sleight of hand check.
- I might have that covered for you.
- Okay, well, I'm gonna do—
- I think you could get
help from Boomer on it.
- Yeah, I think you can,
this one you can roll with advantage,
because Boomer's actively
looking for help with this.
- Good.
'Cause that would have been a 10.
That's a 19.
- Holy sh*t.
You,
through a little air hole
in the back of the crate
on Boomer's side,
you see two small moocher
fingers come out of the box.
- Okay.
- Giant bug hand
slides a key into your fingers.
- And I stick back out.
- So just so I can reestablish,
'cause we've been at this for a while,
we have the physical key.
- We've got the key.
- She can hack the—
- She's in position to get the tech,
the tech lock.
- What we need is the numbers.
- We still have those three words.
- I don't think those—
- No, no, no, we locked out them.
That's—
- That was a cipher to unlock the—
- So now the last thing you need is,
the padlock's gotta happen.
- Yeah.
- You need the code to the padlock.
Give me this, so you're
rolling with disadvantage,
you're just walking by real quick,
but you can give me a
perception or an investigation.
- Is there anything where I'm like, oh,
is this his office, like I kind of do
my little old lady thing?
- Yeah, go ahead and give me a persuasion
or a deception roll.
- Persuasion, let's do persuasion roll.
- Call it a DC 20 persuasion.
- Okay.
So persuasion.
17 plus five.
- You see he goes,
yeah, this is the boss's
office, this is a real window!
- Oh wow!
This is very nice!
- You see he—
- What a strange observation!
- This isn't one of
those imaginary windows
you've heard about.
- This isn't a window,
you can't see through it!
- Can reach my hand right in, yeah, I see!
- It's just a picture of his office
that looks like a window!
- You can make a, it's still DC 20,
but you don't have disadvantage anymore.
You can make a perception
or an investigation roll.
- They're both the same, so
I'll do an investigation.
That's a 14 plus three.
17.
- 17, you look around and
you see a bunch of papers,
and you see Car-Go, I will say this,
on a 17, you don't see the note,
but you see Car-Go's eyes darting around.
So you know that Car-Go is searching
for the same thing you are,
and then Tony escorts you to the bathroom.
- Okay.
- Does she see the peanut?
- Oh yeah, you see the peanut too.
But you don't know,
you don't—
- I don't know much about the kids,
- You don't know sh*t about Dylan.
- I don't have, yeah.
I'm like, oh, a peanut.
- Cool, you go over to the break room.
- Hey boys!
- You see Speed looks at you.
Says,
you were at Shoeby's the other night.
- I'm at Shoeby's every night.
- One of Garbanzo's guys
attacked you there, right?
- Yeah.
- Oh yeah, 'cause you, but
you did that to help Speed.
- You see that he nods at you.
You walk into the room.
That's Agnes and Dantes.
Felix.
You see Felix is just
chatting with Dantes.
- About what?
- You see that Dantes is like,
well,
in a younger life, I
imagined myself a dancer.
Boomer, that's you.
- So Bubs,
the way you're waving that sword around,
do you have stage combat experience?
I mean, here's why.
I'm putting together a little show,
and there's gonna be
a dueling scene in it,
so I was wondering if, I mean,
or is that just for show,
or do you really have
any kind of skill with that weapon?
Maybe we could spar a little bit,
and you could show me
what you've got, you know,
combat, stage combat wise?
- What an insane—
- What a—
- Listen, Boomer's got a skill set,
and I'm actually coming around on this.
- When he was like, I got this.
- I'm gonna need
a DC 20 persuasion check.
- Here.
Use your, use this, this
one's got some stink on it.
I think—
- Okay.
- Use a good, use a good one
with a fresh, good stink.
- DC 20 persuasion.
- A right pretty stink on that one.
- Nice stink.
- That one's got some stink too.
- Dang.
- Is it maybe you that has the stink,
and you put it on the dice?
- No, no, no.
He's gonna get this.
- Okay.
Let me, all right.
So well, with perception that's,
wait a minute.
- Persuasion.
- Okay, so it's eight.
- Did
you accidentally summon me?
- Shut up, watch.
- Yes, I need help with rolls!
I'm wondering if I can use any of these,
well, those are all fighting.
- k*ll him.
- Hey, one—
- Is there nothing to goad?
Doesn't it—
- One thing you could do
is f*ck' you're a big bug,
f*ck' k*ll this guy!
- Yeah, if that camera wasn't on!
- I got it this time.
I got it next time.
- If he were to,
if he were to initiate an
attack without any sound—
- Can you delay an action
and then wait 'til I make
my move, is that possible?
- If you want to delay an action until—
- Until I get that camera to do something.
- But still, that, it's, I mean,
if I fight him, I have to k*ll him.
- Yeah.
- You'll have help.
- Okay.
I guess we've already broken
the fidelity barrier, so—
- Yeah, listen.
We've already k*lled one.
- Okay, fine, if you,
I mean, I'm offering you
a chance on the stage,
but it's cool.
- You guys actually have
back-to-back initiatives,
so TI, if you want to
delay 'til after TI's turn,
you can just switch your
places in the initiative order.
TI, what's your next move?
- How long have they
been talking there now?
- They've been talking
there for, I would say,
about six to 10 seconds.
- Okay.
So then, I'm just gonna take that
and loop that.
- That's awesome!
Go ahead and give me a tech check.
- Woo!
- 17 plus eight and
two, so 17 plus eight, 25.
- 25 was the DC.
You take, you loop, because you basically
dive into the short
term memory of the logs,
dip back out, get that second,
loop it, and you even open
a little film editing software
to kind of crossfade,
so there's a movement
that Boomer makes with
his hand in one moment,
where he kind of like
opens up, and—
- Yeah, I do the reverse of that,
so it just looks like it's natural.
- It's a perfect, you make a perfect, fine
of these guys just sort of chatting it up.
Boomer, that is—
- And I let them know.
- Can I actually lock this up
so things don't get
worse before your turn?
Do you mind?
- Yeah, he hasn't gotten to do anything.
- I know, but you're about to.
- I would actually say,
if you want to keep
delaying your action,
because you don't have
surveillance, right?
It's only these four that have it.
So I think you, if you,
if you're trying to convince him,
it makes sense that you would probably be
waiting for a sign from,
'cause you know that the
guy inside your crate—
- I was just gonna attack him.
- Yeah, let me, I'm not
stepping on your moment.
I want to just really make
sure that this doesn't
get any worse than it already could—
- You want to sneak.
- Trust.
Trust on this.
- Okay.
- As soon as I hear
that that camera's off,
I would like to take my turn.
- The only people that go before you
is this surveillance guy
goes back into his little spot over here.
- But Griffin does have 18 delayed turns,
so he can just kind of go and—
- And right—
- Is that how that works?
- I'm actually going to say that
you get the, what does TI
say when she creates the loop
on the camera?
- You're good to go on that camera.
- Okay.
- Go for it.
- I smash out of the top of the box
like it's a birthday cake,
and I go—
Because there's no noise
coming out of this hallway whatsoever.
So that's Silence.
So now we can do whatever
we need to this gentleman.
- So TI goes,
you got the camera.
You, whoom, bam!
Out of the top,
- A surprise.
- and I think as you crane
kick up out of the box
in perfect silence, through the debris,
Boomer just comes charging through.
You guys can both take a
full round of attacks on
this guard.
- With advantage, right?
'Cause that's surprise.
I believe this is the
definition of a surprise attack.
- This is a full surprise round,
this guy did not know he was in combat,
he is at a disadvantage,
which means you guys
roll with advantage on these attacks.
- Okay.
- Boomer has these,
and it's, I actually,
this is written down.
He has these four gloves on his four hands
that are actually the hands from
a set of Rock 'Em, Sock 'Em Robots.
- Right.
- So he's got a blue set,
and he's got a red set.
And he's gonna go in and attack this guy.
- Can we do it in tandem
like a cool, I roll
over your back, you, yeah, yeah.
- Exactly, but also complete silence.
- Now that's good.
- Question, technical question.
Is there a camera in his office, also?
- There is a camera in the office, also.
- And remind me, dad, what
is Great Weapon Fighting,
which you also have?
- Yeah, well, I have to
get a two handed weapon,
so if this goes any farther—
- We actually established,
you can roll that
with your fists, we're
just gonna treat your fists
as a —
- As they are great weapons.
- So you guys are rolling
your attacks with advantage.
What did Bean get on—
- I smashed a Q-Tip 23.
- Ooh!
- Right into his dome piece.
- 21.
- And make sure to roll advantage,
'cause you might crit.
- No, I certainly did not crit.
- Okay, no worries.
You take that.
You've used a Ki ability this round,
but I don't think there's
actually a limit on that
based on actions.
- This is not a Ki,
this is just an attack.
- Oh, this is just an attack.
You take your attack.
With a 23, you both hit.
Go ahead and roll damage for me.
- I got 12.
- 12 damage.
You're gonna roll 2d6 plus—
- Plus five.
- Plus five.
That's a d8.
- Oh, sorry.
- I was like, that's weird, okay.
- You can go ahead—
- I got one.
- You got one?
Cool.
- Maybe there's no stink on it.
- Four, roll it again.
- Four.
- Reroll it—
- It does have stink on it.
- Reroll, reroll, 'cause it's Great Weapon Fighting.
- Reroll the one.
- Oh.
Four.
- All right.
- Four, four, eight, plus five
is 13.
- 25 points of damage.
You, blam the Q-Tip on top of his head,
you get your Rock 'Em, Sock 'Em fists on,
and just body this mouse into a wall.
You have never seen a wall
crack in total silence before.
Just, choom.
This guy hits the deck
completely unconscious.
- Nice!
- Oo f*ck, not dead? He's not dead?
- Whenever I attack with a monk action,
I get an unarmed strike as a bonus action,
so I think I come in,
and you're like.
- He's dead now?
- This is the first time you've ever
k*lled someone.
- He does a little dance.
- High eight.
- Incredible.
Crate is smashed, and we—
- I look at the crate, and I'm like—
- I'm glad this is on video.
- Just for a frame of reference,
how much time do we think has passed
at this point, since
she triggered the code?
- I would say only about
a minute has passed.
You guys have time.
- Each thing is like six seconds.
- Each thing is like six seconds.
Bean is on the board, baby!
And there are no cameras in
between you and the vault.
- Hell yeah.
- I do a lot of stretching,
some calisthenics,
just to get the blood flow working again.
- Hell yeah.
- And then—
- Would I give him the key?
- You already did.
- You already did, he
slipped it into the—
- Oh, that's right, that's right.
- You got it.
Rick, that's you, baby.
- Give me a second.
I know it's, I've had f*ck' 30 minutes.
- What a wild turn you two, my God!
Taking out that guard!
- Who is in the room with Felix?
Just so I can recap—
- Car-Go, Dantes, steward guy, and Felix.
- Car-Go, Dantes, steward guy, Felix.
- Mm-hmm.
- It just occurred to me
that after we did that,
I probably went—
- Where is the,
the passcode is the thing that we've—
- The passcode is the thing we still need.
So right now we need to get the passcode,
get the information to him,
while he gets to the vault.
- Don't worry about that step.
- Yeah, and opens it, so like—
- Do we think the
passcode is in the office,
or something that Felix only knows?
Right?
- Yeah, do we have—
- It was in the office.
- Oh it's definitely in the office.
- It's a hidden item, right?
- Yeah, it's written down
somewhere in his office.
- Okay, okay.
- So—
- And I have access to that camera.
So that's my next go.
- Yeah.
What's Rick up to?
- I mean, I'm debating,
I could try to get,
I could try to get Felix out of the room.
I think I could pull that off.
- You have a keycard now, right?
- I do.
And I see Minetta out there, right?
- You, yeah.
Give me an insight check.
- I need some Purell.
I touched Dad's dice!
- Stink die!
- Eight.
- You see your—
- Plus two, 10.
- 10.
You see her just pacing, back and forth,
like she's trying to
think as hard as she can.
- Aww.
We've gotta help this chick.
- Okay.
Could I, in one turn, make it
to the door of Felix's office?
I don't need to.
I got walkie talkies.
- You have walkie talkies, yeah.
You have a walkies.
- Okay.
- You actually have two
sets of walkie talkies now.
Right?
- Stones?
- You have the walkie talkies that are in
sort of the network of—
- Here's the thing that I,
I could come up with a,
I could get Felix out of the room.
I don't think I could
get Felix out of the room
in a way that continues our cover.
That is what's stressing me out right now.
- Why do we need Felix out of his room?
- To give them the opportunity to—
- I'm the only one left in
there, and with disadvantage,
the chance of hitting that DC 20.
- I can use the camera to look, also.
- That's true, you can use the camera
to make a search check.
- Holy sh*t!
- That's why I asked if
there was a camera in there.
- Oh, you're brilliant!
- Can I just delay, then?
- Yeah, delay.
- Yeah, I think I'm just gonna delay.
- Cool.
Set your turn back.
I'm going to roll
a luck check to see if one of the guards
wants to go on patrol right now.
- Ooh!
- What does that say?
At the Riviera, Las Vegas.
- It's just like a pamphlet or something.
- 16 or higher on a luck check,
some of these guards
are gonna go on patrol.
That's a nine.
- Ooh!
- Lazy.
- It would be great if—
- Laziness wins again!
- Woo hoo!
- Car-Go, that's you, baby.
- Try again.
- Okay, yeah, I'm gonna search again,
'cause I can't move 'til I find it.
That's a 17 plus eight, so a 25.
- 25, you're rolling with disadvantage.
- Yeah.
And that's a four.
- g*dd*mn!
- Okay, listen.
We do have luck points.
- I just think—
- I know, but—
- I think I have better
odds of spotting it
in a totally safe—
- You do have your bonus action, though,
you can do it again.
- Oh, I'll search again, okay.
A 22.
- Okay.
- Come on!
Oh my God!
- And a 14.
- Ooh, God!
- Does he see where it's not with a 14?
- With a 14, ooh, actually,
with a 14 you don't see the code,
but you do see some other stuff.
- That's it.
Thank you.
- Some nice carpeting.
- A ceiling fan.
- Art.
- Right, a door.
- Your own nose.
- A big arrow that says clue here.
- A dusty—
- That, I just see
the baseboards need a cleaning.
- Yeah, someone's gotta get in here!
- Car-Go, here's what you see.
You see all the things that
are the shipments coming in.
All the things that Felix
is setting up to buy
with this roll of quarters.
You see plans up on the wall,
of tapping in,
not to the computers of
the bittyfolk in the house,
but the computers of
the humans in the house.
You see
messages from Felix to
operatives in other houses
to choke off a supply line
to the Tik-Teks in the teen center.
- Hmm.
- Orders to starve them out.
You see a forged email
on a little screen on his desk,
written from a fake human
neighborhood council,
reminding everybody on Thimble Lane
to mulch their compost heaps.
- I'mma f*ck' k*ll this guy. So good.
- Oh man, damn.
He's impersonating people!
- Does think big.
- Is my browser history on there?
- And you see—
- Yeah, is he looking at some nasty stuff?
- And you see plans
to tap into the house's Sylvia,
this is the humans in
the house have a little
automated helper that has
a Gladiator Prime account
that allows them to order things
on a little account online.
And you see very inexpensive
bulk orders set up.
All he needs to do is,
you see basically what he's collecting
through this roll of quarters,
is he's out to collect
human credit card numbers,
and you see planned
orders from toy companies
for big bulk bags of army men.
- Oh my God.
- Bags upon bags upon bags.
- I mean, if he has
access to credit cards,
why do these quarters
mean so much to him still?
- He doesn't have the technology yet to—
- Get into the human system.
- Get into the human systems.
He was able to fake an email,
but to actually put in an order
to get into the house's Sylvia,
but he is, and you remember
what he said in the docks,
he said, after we move these quarters,
none of this is ever
gonna be a problem again.
- Once he gets the, what does he,
how does he use the quarters?
- He's paying other stewards
for human credit card numbers, for—
- Oh, I see.
- And the rest he's
sending to a bank account
in the Cayman Islands.
- Damn.
That is a good plan, honestly.
- Yeah, give it up.
Yeah, give it up, it's a good plan.
- Very insidious.
Very insidious.
- Thank you.
- You're a very evil mind.
- You didn't think of it, Felix did!
- Yeah, you creep!
- You f*ck' creep!
Great.
That's Car-Go's turn.
Rick, you see Minetta
look at the car,
she taps her fingers,
and she goes and jumps on to the car.
If someone wants to move Minetta
on to the getaway vehicle.
- f*ck.
Isn't there a dead body in there?
- No.
- There should be your leftover body.
- Well, there's Lieutenant
Rick is on there.
- No, I keep, it is well established
that I have several
bodies in a bag somehow.
- Even the dead guard?
- It's not the dead guard.
- Yeah, he's the dead guard now.
- It's a body bag of holding.
- It's a body bag of holding, exactly.
Agnes and Dantes, that's you.
- Oh no, we didn't lock down this car?
- Agnes does have an Unseen Servant,
would my Unseen Servant be
able to go into the office
and look around?
- Unfortunately, it's not intelligent.
It wouldn't be able to
know what to look for.
- Oh, big dumb idiot.
- Big, invisible as*h*le.
- Big, invisible, a*s, well I guess
I don't want Speed or
anybody in here leaving,
so I think I just want to distract them.
- Okay, you do have to
theoretically use the restroom.
- I mean, I also have to
use the restroom, yeah.
- That's pretty distracting.
- Yeah, you use it, do
it in a distracting way.
- I leave the door open.
- With lots of, ahh!
Oh!
- Make a, make a deception check?
- Performance?
- Yeah, make sure, make
a performance check.
- Well, maybe it's constipation.
- That's—
- No, constitution, yeah.
- My performance check!
- Oh wow!
- Oh no!
- You wet yourself!
- Four plus four is eight!
- You go in, you see,
it totally backfires and they go,
should we leave, should
we get out of here?
- Oh no!
- Do not go in there!
- While you're doing that, are you like,
this is what I live for, one last job!
Agnes isn't going down without a fight!
- The glamor of the heist!
- Yeah, this is my moment.
- Ahh!
- TI.
TI, that's gonna be you.
- Great.
I would like to totally scan
this camera's previous security footage,
look for the codes, and
if that doesn't work,
also to just move it around
and look for the codes—
- Oh, in here.
In the office?
- Sorry, in the office.
- In the office, great.
Hell yeah.
This is such a smart plan.
- 'Cause you would probably
see him get the folder—
- Yeah, get the folder
down, look at it, zoom in.
It's definitely on the cameras.
- A hundred percent.
This, the DC's only gonna be a 20 on this.
This is a very smart plan,
so you're just looking through,
but you're trying to catch
a little bit of writing
on a camera.
Or even if I find out where it is
with a low enough score, could I tell him
and give him advantage
or something for later?
Like, negate his disadvantage?
- To negate his disadvantage.
- That's not gonna be a problem.
Car-Go just found out a lot of information
that's gonna make it really
hard for him to stay still.
- Yeah, well, I will say,
Car-Go doesn't have a way to talk to you,
so there's no way for you
to give him advantage.
- Got it.
- Go ahead and
roll your tech check.
- So I got one one.
And I got one five,
plus an eight, is a 13.
- Should we maybe think about—
- Yeah, we need the luck.
- We really need this.
- Yeah, yeah, roll that luck point.
- Yeah, let's do it.
- Cool.
- Woo!
- You got a nine plus eight is 17.
- 17 does not find the code.
- Do I know where it is?
- Do you know where, oh!
- That's what I was asking.
- That's what you were asking,
where in the room it is.
Yeah, you do, you can't
get the numbers off it,
but you know where in the room it is.
So you do know where in the room it is.
- Where is it?
- It's on the desk that's,
it's partially peeking out
from a number of papers.
You can't see from the camera
someone walking by the hall could see it.
- Okay, so I let everyone else know
that in the room, that's where it is now.
- Cool, great.
- And one luck point.
- Yeah, and one luck point left.
- Yeah.
- One.
- You have one left.
- Yeah, so I used one.
- I think honest to God,
the finding out where it
is is important enough
that I'm glad we used it.
- Yeah.
- Boomer, that's gonna be you.
- Stupid dice.
- I could take my action.
- Oh yeah, Rick, do
you want to take your action?
Go for it, yeah.
You're delaying your turn?
- Yeah, I had delayed my turn.
- Yeah.
- And I know,
you said I could see it
from the window, right?
- And you have a walkie talkie.
- You have a walkie talkie, yeah.
So TI says you can see
it from the window, yeah,
absolutely.
- Okay, well.
I'm gonna run to the window.
- Mm-hmm.
- And peek in and see the code.
- Yes!
- Hold on a second.
- There should be no rolls necessary.
- Well, it'll be a very low DC roll.
- Just-
- Do I give him advantage?
- Just to see it.
- Do a DC one.
- Just to look at it.
- Just to even look at it.
You take your bonus action dash,
and dip on out of here.
- Through the
room where you're actively
having a—
- 'Scuse me!
- A very rough—
- Gross!
- I can see him staring at me!
- Have you seen this boy?
- This is just a DC 10 perception check.
- Does he get advantage,
'cause I told him?
- Yes, you do get advantage on this roll.
- Perception, did we say?
- Mm-hmm.
- A 13.
- You pull the code.
You got it.
- Woo, yes!
- You pull the code
off the page, you see it.
- See if you crit.
See if you crit.
- You see that—
- I don't know how much
harder I can, it's a one.
- Well, a one, wow.
- As you walk out, you see
that Chuck looks over at you,
and he says, everything
going good, my guy?
You want to smear some coff?
Hot lava, hot java?
Get some on your face?
- Yeah, look.
Yeah, absolutely.
I love, smear that good stuff right on—
- Feel that good good on
that face, my man, all right?
- Yeah.
- I would like 14 cups of coffee
36 times on my five faces.
- You reach out.
Chuck heads over in,
back in here, to sort of
have someone manning the booth.
- Perfect, thank you, Chuck.
- Bean.
Oh, sorry.
That's Rick, sorry, Boomer.
We said it was Boomer.
- Okay, he bursts out of the box.
- Mm-hmm.
- Could I, okay.
Boomer's gonna put Bubs's body in the box.
- Cool.
- Smart.
- And then carry it over
here and set it on the table.
- Great.
- So that if the cameras
should happen to come back on,
this is a camera, right?
- Yeah, absolutely.
- It would be blocked.
Just as a, just as a backup.
- Ooh, that's a thought.
- I thought it might be nice if for once—
- Ooh!
- We had a backup idea.
- Nice.
- Hell yeah.
You dip over here,
set this bad boy right up
in front of the camera.
- Wait, wait.
- Oh, you gave—
- Let's be specific.
- I'll take Bubs off your hands.
- He's a good, good mini.
- Very good.
- Bubs.
I knew him, Horatio.
- And that's going to be Bean.
- I put the earphones in,
with the French house music on it.
- Except it's still completely silent.
- No I,
yeah, I can wave that off.
- It could be on a speaker.
- Cool, yeah.
You wave it off.
- I wave the silence off, because I,
it would actually be bad if somebody
walked down this hallway and was like,
so anyway, I told my wi—
And they would kind of
know something was up.
Okay, so that's off.
I pull up the banana robe,
I really am kind of limbering up.
Let me look at these, my move is such
that I could get through the lasers,
but I'm, a roll will be required,
but I wouldn't, it would
have to take two turns
sort of navigating them, right?
Unless something went terribly wrong?
- Here's the thing.
I will allow you to roll with advantage
if you,
if you just move like—
- I see, I see.
- Does that make sense?
- So I can risk it for
the biscuit on one roll,
or I can play it a little bit safer on,
I think we both know
which one I'm going to do.
- Mm-hmm.
- Which is the just
trying to clear it in one,
because the timer—
- Timer is ticking down.
- How much time do we have left?
- You've probably used
about half your time now.
You have about five minutes
'til total shut down.
- What are these things, what are these—
- These are art pieces,
these are just things in the gallery,
there's a beautiful human ring.
- Oh wow.
- Some gold buttons, et cetera.
- And these columns go floor to ceiling?
- Yep.
- Okay.
So there's no jumping on those to,
to get over the things.
Okay.
Well.
My question is, if I use one of my,
none of these are gonna give
me better acrobatics, right?
I'm assuming this is, is
this acrobatics or stealth?
- This is acrobatics.
- Okay, yeah, none of
these are gonna help me.
- You actually, thankfully you don't need
to make stealth rolls in here.
- Yeah, I mean, yeah.
It would be better if I did,
because I can give myself
a plus 10 on those, but
all right, yeah, let's dance.
- Ooh.
- I'm gonna bring out the Box of Doom.
- Oh boy!
- I will also say this.
- Oh, come on.
- You and Boomer act on the same turn,
so the only thing I'm
gonna point out here—
- Yeah.
- Because this is the roll of the heist,
this is literally getting to the vault.
Boomer, you only used your movement.
- Oh God—
- And you could help him.
- Yeah.
- If you would like to take a help action
to aid Bean and give him
advantage on this roll—
- I'm about to go through the lasers,
and I turn to you and I'm like,
this is embarrassing.
I don't, I would never
degrade myself like this.
As a Moocher, I hold myself
to a certain amount of pride.
And there's certain sort
of stereotypes of people,
oh, it's easy to throw a Moocher,
it's easy to throw a Moocher.
- Yeah, I know.
- But it's, there's a
reason for that stereotype,
and I'm pretty flingable.
So if you can get me half way,
I can sort of
do this in the air,
and make it the other half of the way,
so, and your arms or your horn,
which one am I going on?
- The horn, I can give it
a leverage with the horn,
I could toss you with
the horn, and you can
use it like a diving board.
- All right, all right.
- Like a diving board!
- All right.
- If I fall down and get
cut up by the lasers,
'cause I don't know if
those are bing bong lasers,
or if they're zurp lasers.
Don't tell 'em about the throwing,
just say that I tried to do this—
- No, no, I would never.
- Cool.
Let's make these acrobatics checks.
- Okay.
- Oh, you don't
have to do it, Dad.
- You're just helping.
I roll with advantage, correct?
- You roll with advantage.
You're going to roll right
into the Box of Doom.
- Come on, Beano! Come on, Beano!
- That's a nat one.
- But you have advantage.
- You have advantage.
That is a five.
- Got a final luck.
- Yep.
- Yeah.
Yeah, we gotta.
- Is it just one more?
- Let's do it.
- Wait a minute,
do you have nothing that—
- I have a plus nine to acrobatics, but—
- But I'm saying that through meditation
would make you more
effective at something,
are there any of those monk skills
that would make this more effective?
- I think I'm pot committed at this point.
- Three rolls seems
more than fair!
- Okay.
- This, you're burning
your final luck point.
- Mm-hmm, yeah.
- Who's got a good dice experience
with their d20?
- She rolled two 20s in a row.
- I did, but, I mean, it's been 50/50.
If you want.
- Maybe she's used it all up.
- Do you mind?
- Oh no, I would love to if you did!
- Wait! What about Goldy?
- Oh—
I'm not using any of your—
- You've been sitting
next to them for so long!
- Everybody cross fingers.
- Your Walgreen's brand
extra readable dice.
Oh my God.
- You should've—
- That is a six
- Plus nine, 15.
- Plus nine, 15.
Take that.
- That sucks, those were
three sh*t rolls in a row.
- We're gonna make a cut point there.
- Just rerun it.
- I'm gonna need a dexterity
saving throw from Bean.
- This is one that's
goin' in the box, yes?
- Yes.
- Okay.
Okay, okay.
Okay.
- Come on, come on!
- Okay.
No.
Okay.
- What'd you get?
You rolled a six.
- Jeez.
- Do I have advantage on this?
Why are you giving me the—
- Yes.
- Oh, I'm asking, what plus
your dexterity saving—
- Seven.
- Whoa, seven?
- Yeah.
- Okay.
You are tossed into
the center of the room.
- Oh my god.
- You land, dodge one of these.
Boomer hucks you,
you land, kick off this button,
and are stuck,
balancing on this beam right here,
out of the path of the lasers.
- Okay!
- Does the button knock into the laser?
- Wait, though—
- You are holding the button,
and balancing on the ledge.
- Oh!
- Struggling with all your might
to keep your balance.
If this button falls,
it triggers the lasers,
and the entire alarm system goes off.
- Okay, next move I shut off the lasers.
- You are hanging by a
thread on this pedestal,
holding this incredibly heavy object,
trapped in the middle of the room.
- Sorry, buddy, I doinked it.
I doinked it hard.
- No.
- No way!
- It's rough.
I mean, we've had really good luck,
up until that point, I feel like.
- Yeah.
- You know, we haven't really biffed—
- And it didn't fall! Nothing went off.
- Yeah, that's true.
- Bean.
- Yeah?
- You are balancing on this pedestal.
Rick, you have just spotted
the code in the office.
Car-Go, you are still frozen on the floor,
seeing the vast villainy of Felix's plan.
TI, you are alone in a locked server room,
Agnes, you are pissing in a
bathroom with an open door.
- We all have our—
- Everybody's sh*t is
equally intense and cool.
- Everyone serves a purpose.
- Boomer, you stare, mouth agape,
watching Bean balance
on the edge of his foot.
- You shanked it just a little bit, man!
Shanked it just a little.
- Oh, I knew this had to be my fault!
- No, no, no, we both beefed it,
but you shanked it definitely
a little to the left!
- You hang there,
with one false move,
the entire heist goes up in smoke.
If you can succeed on
the next series of rolls,
there's still a chance
to salvage this heist.
And that's where we're
gonna end this episode
of Tiny Heist.
- Oh, you dirty dog.
- Oh man.
- We'll catch you guys next week.
Make sure to tune in.
Seems while the cat's away,
the turtle plays.
Literally the entire life or death of the heist
hanging in the balance,
as you wobble on the pedestal.
- It looks really good, and I feel good.
- Grab the fairy!
- Stop!
- Oh?
- Don't move a muscle, you piece of sh*t.
- If you hurt Dantes, I am
honor bound to k*ll you.
- He's working with Garbanzo.
They've got Minetta.
They're getting out of here.
- Oh sh*t.
- Things couldn't be worse than—
- There's so much stuff
going on now, I don't know.
- I owe about 60 grand.
- $95.441.
I'm gonna pay this off maybe before I die.
- We have an idea.
This is like a stunt show
in which we pay off your student loans.
- Yes.
- Can I get someone to hunt Grant?
- We are going to give Ally
an Oompa Loompa makeover.
- You have to
sell everything you own.
What's your biggest fear?
- Bees.
Bees, bees, bees, bees.
