So it is pretty stressful

I just want to make them proud,

and I don't want to go off
into the wrong road.

Progressing on "The Voice," it's
going to be very big for me.

So that way, I know that
I can make it in this industry.

I was struggling a little
bit to find my own voice,

but I resonate with the lyrics

because last year was
a bit of a tough year for me.

I had a miscarriage.

My husband, Johnathan, was in
Australia, deployed at the time.

Going through that experience,
it was hard.

It was lonely.

First time I heard
"Like I Can" by Sam Smith,

I just remember that whole day,
that song was on repeat.

The lyrics were just
things I needed to hear.

It pulled me through.

It felt like validation

Right now, I'm in the Army,

to be doing music,

I finished college,

I got a job offer in Arizona,

The route wasn't exactly
how I envisioned it,

but now I'm in L.A.
on "The Voice,"

doing what I wanted
to be here doing,

so that's all that matters.
