[kids snoring]
[alarm clock]
It's time to get up and start your day!
Prepare for adventures
that come your way.
You may think that I'm loud and crazy,
but you can never call me lazy!
[yawns]
What's Granny's big idea
waking us up so early.
[gasps]
I bet it's the day of the big picnic
she's been talking about.
[both] Big picnic?
Yeah!
With games and music and fireworks.
Not to mention
it's the only day of the year
we're allowed to eat anything we want.
[grumbles indistinctly]
[all laughing]
Oh, my goodness.
[chuckles] And here I thought
I'd have to drag you out of bed
for a trip to the doctor's office.
Doctor's office?
Huh?
[all] Hmm?
[Granny] Kids, you'll be
in very good hands with Nurse Bower.
I'll be down there
getting my monthly tune-up.
I'll come back to pick you up
right after you get your flu shots.
[all groaning]
Not flu!
Flu shots?
Oh, this day just keeps
getting better and better.
Aw, Granny. Why do we have to get shots?
Shots are only unpleasant
for a little while.
But getting sick is much worse.
[all chattering]
Shots! Hmm.
If I wanted to get poked
with a sharp object,
I'd pick a fight with a porcupine.
Not a big fan of shots, eh, doc?
What do I need a lousy shot for?
I've never been sick a day in my life.
Me, neither.
Hmm. [chuckles]
You thinking what I'm thinking?
Already thunk it.
Granny's
always telling us to share, right?
Well, I think it's only fair
we share our shots
with the folks who really need them.
So young, and yet so generous.
Plastic. Ehh, you guys go ahead
and play for a while.
Daff and I'll get our shots first.
If you say so.
No argument here.
Hello there, boys. Have a seat in Room 3.
-I'll be right there.
-Go on, say it.
Get it over with
or I'll never hear the end of it.
Ehh, what's up, doc?
[Bugs chuckles]
That's gotta be our chart.
[grunting]
Why do they have
to put everything so high?
Doesn't anyone ever think
about the little people?
Look. There's something on the floor.
-What?
-You.
Next time warn a guy, will you?
Know what would come in handy right now?
-Ehh, what?
-A little thing called reading.
Way ahead of you on that one.
Ehh, excuse me, nurse.
I think this must've fallen off the door.
Why thank you, Bugs.
I'd be happy to put it back up for you.
But I left my stilts at home.
Aw.
I don't know about you, Daffy,
but I barely felt that flu shot.
I hear you, Bugs.
-Felt more like a mosquito bite to me.
-Bugs...
and Daffy.
I can't believe Bugs and Daffy
wanted their shots first.
They were awfully brave.
No offense, Lola.
I might be an eensy-weensy bit scared.
I might be scared too.
Well, just a little.
Don't worry, guys.
I've had the shot before
and it's not so bad.
Yeah.
And I bet it's not so good either.
It stings a bit,
but it goes away pretty fast.
And it helps if you distract yourself.
You know, think of something else.
Last time I counted the doctor's wrinkles.
I only got up to six and a half.
That's some really good counting.
But the best part about shots,
they keep you from getting sick
and missing fun stuff,
like a day of playing in the snow.
Or a trip to the zoo.
-Or a picnic. Or...
-Cookie pizza day!
Or cookie pizza day.
Hey! We should make
each other laugh during our checkups.
That'll be a great distraction.
You know what they say about laughter:
it's the best medicine.
Well, if it's such good medicine,
what do we need shots for?
Ready for your checkups?
If by ready,
you mean I'm not gonna run
screaming out the nearest exit.
Then yes, I'm ready.
[all laughing]
Nurse Bower said it was okay
if we touched stuff.
And she would be right.
We run a kid-friendly office here.
So have fun, kids.
Remember, when I give you your shot,
it's gonna sting.
But the stinging will be long gone
by the time Granny shows up.
[grumbles indistinctly]
And before you get your shot,
feel free to listen to a song
in the headphones,
squeeze somebody's hand,
or count the monkeys on the ceiling.
Taz like monkeys.
One monkey. Two monkeys.
Four monkey.
Six monkey.
One monkey. Two monkeys.
Eight monkey. Four monkey.
Ten monkey.
-Okay. You're all done here, Taz.
-Huh?
Tweety, you're next.
[echoing] Hey! What's this thing do?
[grunts] It's a stethoscope.
It's used to listen
to a patient's heartbeat.
And sometimes to blow
your doctor's ears out.
What's a guy gotta do to have
a good time around here?
Hey, the X-ray room.
[Granny] Now where is that X-ray room?
This place is so big,
they should give out maps
at the front door.
Where oh, where did they put
that blasted X-ray room?
Oh, X-ray room.
[gurney rattling]
A gurney without a driver? Huh.
Modern technology sure is swell.
Oh, there you are.
Phew.
That was a close call.
Sixty-two monkeys.
Sixty-three. Forty-eight.
You know what?
I think I'm gonna pass
on this whole shot deal.
There's a sour cherry lollipop
with your name on it when you're done.
And they're sugar-free.
So they're Granny-approved.
Whoa! That thing's bigger than my head.
You know what?
What's one little shot
in the grand scheme of life?
I can do this.
I can be brave.
If a scrawny little bird
can do it, so can I.
Uh, no offense, Tweety.
None taken.
Go ahead, doc, let me have it.
Nurse, hand me one of those
long shiny tonsil remover thingies.
Here. [clearing throat]
Here you go, doctor.
Uh, just for the record,
my tonsils are up here.
Details, details.
Mm. Much better than the plastic kind.
[Granny] I sure hope the kids
didn't have to wait too long.
-Oh, no.
-It's Granny!
She's on her way to pick us up!
Quick! We gotta get there first.
But how?
[Daffy mimicking siren]
[Bugs] Make way!
Emergency brainectomy coming through!
[Granny] Oh, my.
Now, which way was I going?
Oh, yes. This way.
[whistling]
[all] Granny.
Look what I got, Granny.
Hey, the doctor was right.
My arm doesn't sting anymore.
-Mine doesn't either.
-And mine kind of feels like the day
after Daffy dropped that
package of frozen waffles on me.
How many times do I have to tell you?
That was an accident.
We had a great time today, Granny.
When can we come back again?
Oh, not until next year, I'm afraid.
And, by the way,
you have excellent taste in bandages.
Taz like balloons!
[all laughing]
Bugs, Daffy,
why don't you have bandages?
Uh, well, I didn't like the selection.
And what about your lollipops?
That's all I need,
another trip to the dentist.
Nice working with you, Bugs.
Same to you, Daff.
We'll have to do it again sometime.
I must say, we make...

-A pretty good team.
[game] I'm the appendix.
-I can't do anything.
-[both] Huh?

Are you ready for the biggest
and best picnic in history?
[all chattering]
[coughing] Sounds great, Granny.
Oh, yeah.
If I didn't know better,
which I do, I'd say you boys have the flu.
I guess sometimes
these flu shots don't take.
Yeah.
What a rip-off.
[Bugs] This is the best day I never had.
[both groaning]
I can't believe
we didn't get the flu shots.
That was the dumbest idea you ever had.
My idea?
You're the one who said
you've never been sick a day in your life.
Since when do you listen to me?
Haven't you ever heard
of getting a second opinion?
