Getting invited to the blind
auditions was amazing.

I wasn't able to sing for a couple
of years due to an illness.

What better way to make a
comeback than "The Voice?"

of command and presence.

First I was wondering what
your connection would be with

it was an interesting choice.

immediately captivated me.

I wanted you to rock out more
with it in the bigger dramatic,

more, you know, moments.

I feel like your dress
restricted you a little bit.

There were a few notes, but
overall you did a great job.

I thought it was a commendable effort.

I love the staging.

Of course, you have a wonderful
voice, but there is something so

genuinely, um, tortured about
Billy Corrigan's voice.

I don't believe this song
was meant to be performed.

It should always remain
something cathartic.

Otherwise a great performance.

I do agree we love this song.

There is a connection to it that Billy
Corrigan makes that's tough to beat.

When I first heard the song,
when I first heard you singing

the song I thought, wow, it's
actually almost big than a rock

song, it feels theatrical.

Forget about all that.

I'm really happy with you.

What you did, what you did was
really, you listened to me,

which I really appreciate.

You sang that song.

You're woman with a beautiful
voice and there were no frills.

You might have gone too far
in the direction of no frills

because you have a lot of strength
and energy I want to see from you.

would turn around for me.

night for my family.

been my life-long dream.

would grow from this stage just
because I'm wondering about

versatility with you and where
you would grow from here.

And hopefully, you know, obviously
we get a lot of support.

You have me and your old
musketeer buddies behind you.

I hope this is really a contest.

contest about the voice.

I think there are better voices
on the show rather than a

celebrity sway kind of thing.

was able to use that to my advantage.

Going into the live rounds, I
can be accepted for what I do.

I walked into rehearsal and we really

I can absolutely relate

I'm a bad coach for not
thinking about it earlier.

There is definitely a potential
for that to be a mega moment.
