So, tonight, there are
no bells and whistles...
We are stripped down so you can focus
on what really matters, the voice.
You at home will save two of
your favorites from each team.
Their coach will save one.
And here they are on stage with me.
We have team Adam and we have team Blake.
It is their night to perform.

Obviously, it's election week.
And here at The Voice it's
also a very important time.
This is the week where America will decide who
will represent their coaches in the top 12.
Eight weeks ago,
The Voice returned with a vengeance
as the blind auditions kicked off.
And the coaches fought for the nation's
most talented artists to join their teams.
- I'm dying to have you on my team.
- We belong together.
Blake Shelton, season two champ.
Each coach built a team of 16,
based solely on their voice.
You have no idea what they
look like and at any moment,
we could be hearing the next superstar.
You hit it!
With their teams locked,
the coaches sent them into battle,

And stealing only the most talented.
We got a steal for Amanda Brown!
Adam is my true competitor now,
because he has the other best.
Then it was winner-take-all
in the knockouts.
Tonight, the live playoffs begin.
Playoffs? Playoffs?
This is like a more serious Olympics.
Up first, team Adam and
team Blake take the stage.
A great, diverse bunch of people who are all
very unique and that's hugely important thing.
Adam's, once again, built
a really strong team.
But don't count out team Blake.
I see another victory in my future.
Each coach will give their artist
all the tools they need to win.
Pick your spots more.
This is a make-or-break
moment for all of you.
Only three members will
survive the playoffs.
The every man for himself.
For the first time this season,
the power to choose shifts.
America it is time for you to vote.
America will decide which two artists
from each team to send to the top 12,
leaving the coaches to pick one of their
remaining artists to save.

To move somebody forward
and that's gonna be tough.

We begin tonight with
a 17 years old pop vocalist
that Adam stole from Christina
during battle round,
Joselyn Rivera.
I was premature, growing up, I was sick,
my mom found a specialist
and he recommended music for there be
and it was the best prescription, obviously,
because it led me to team Christina.
In the battle rounds,
Christina picked Sylvia.
Joselyn Rivera is available to steal.
The fact that Adam stole me made me think
I really got to step up my game.
Choosing a song so ambitious made me realize
that she really wants to swing for the fences.
This week, I'm singing
"Give your heart a break".
I love the song because it gives you
a chance to show your range.
Let me tell you something.
You don't want to run the risk
of lacking the human quality.
I can't sing like you can,
but I always make sure that whatever I'm doing,
I'm connecting with who I'm singing to.
Joselyn's 17 years old,
and sings with this incredible proficiency.
Now she just has to kind of
connect with her audience
and make them fall in love with her
the way that we all did.
It's so hard for me sometimes, like, moving
onstage and singing at the same time.
When you're on television, there are
cameras that are moving around you.
There's a lot of energy that's
being created for you.
The most important thing is stay
focused on the vocal,
because that's what
people are listening to.
It's a scary thought, knowing
that America's going to vote.
It's nerve-racking, but I'm going to try
my best to connect to the audience.
America's going to choose two people.
I get to save one of you guys.

for all you.

that we can all count on to be great.
But I wanted to tell you in this environment,
with all these lights and the bigger stage,
you wear that well, too, you know
what I mean?
You just look good on a big same

comfortable moving and singing
at the same time but you sure
proved yourself wrong tonight.
Because you definitely...
You know, walking down the stairs,
it's hard to do in high heels,
I know, and working it the whole stage,
that's big stage to handle
all by yourself, you did it
you were hitting the drum accents with your
arms and your smile lights up the whole room,
so I think from here, you know,
I have he's seen you do a lot of up tempos.
I think I would love to see you next,

by the wayside, I still have that drive.
At the blind audition,
when three chairs turned around,
it was an enormous relief. The blinds...
The battles... and the knock out.

Gosh, you know, I really listened to
what everybody says up here
and everyone gives valid criticism
and I think my initial reaction to
the fact that you
were doing this song was, whoa,
those are big shoes to fill.
What's great though and
what was really interesting by watching
this performance was
I didn't find myself comparing it to that
version because
it was just so wild and
completely different from that, to me.
Now, that's obviously a
matter of preference
and your relationship relationship
with the song itself,
what's amazing I thought
about it, first of all,
you did everything exactly like...
It's a little nerves and shaky,
but man, I tell
you, as far as artistry is concerned
and making something your own,
and that's why I was totally mesmerized
by that performance.
I wasn't thinking about technical things.
All I was thinking was this is
an amazing performance

Looking back at every one of
your performances,
you've kind of been "outlaw woman."

does raise the stakes for me.
It is such a powerhouse ballad.

from very early on
and you know what, this is
one of my favorite songs,
I think it is a cool rendition,
jazzy, sexy, smooth, sultry,
you being able to cap it off, hitting the
high notes as impressively as always.

ex*cuted those notes really so
soulfully but also...
That upper register, I want to hear more.

Before "The Voice," I was singing
background vocals for artists like Adele,
so this is definitely the biggest thing
I've ever done as a solo artist.
In the blind audition, when Cee
lo turned around, I was like, "yes."
Into the battle rounds, the coaches
fighting over me for a steal was bonkers.
I always try and reach outside of the box,
so I chose Adam.
In the knockout rounds,
I was new on team Adam,
and I got to show him
a different side of me.
The winner is Amanda.
Amanda Brown.
Good to see you, and hugs to everyone.
Amanda is a powerful singer,
a powerful person.
She's like me, so you're bouncin' around
and being a goofball.
But she's so comfortable and
confident and I love seeing that.
She's doing "Dream on" and
this is an iconic song.
Probably will be the most
iconic classic rock song of the night,
sung by someone that you
wouldn't necessarily expect to sing it.
