01x15 - The Swim of Things

Once Upon an orphanage my life was a

near tragic State

I longed to find a brighter place

somewhere full of love and grace I dream

of fields with a cool Ocean Breeze I

pinched myself to make sure this home

was real

they said for a boy but then I was a

girl my dreaming had just let me down

again if I came as a queen this long

ebony hairs and maybe they feel I was

worth it for them I'm a good worker in

spite of My Talking I belong to belong

here for all of my life don't send me

away without

bouncy I see everything I touch

I can imagine a world full of joy just

give me your hand and I'll teach you to

hope you'll find that I have something

worthwhile just let me stay here and

I'll love you forever I promise a life

full of smiles

The Wharf

swimming lessons oh brother indeed

Swimming Lessons

since you all know how to swim some

better than others

our swimming lessons will focus on how

to improve so you can swim further and

faster

good at the end of our lessons we'll

have a demonstration to show the town

what you've learned all right

oh let's form teams for a relay swim

now this isn't a race

that's what he thinks it's only to

encourage us to be our best you'll never

get better without challenging

yourselves first up go

huh that's quite a snack you've got you

want a piece thanks but I prefer

healthier snacks

as usual I was first or not was too

well not bad for starters that was

nothing look what I can do

now everybody let this be a lesson on

the importance of safety around water

never run on the wharf I assure you I

never will again

still you have to rest your shoulder for

how long the rest of the day at least

the rest of the day

so much for impressing Lauren

you're lucky you don't have to swim

and I'll give you some exercises to help

that injury heal I feel certain a great

struggle lies before me but I shall do

as you say so long as I'm ready for the

demonstration

Felix time to get in the water

um well uh I'm resting too the only

thing you need to rest is your jaws I'll

never measure up compared to all of them

that's no reason to miss swimming I

don't want to swim

well how about diving diving it's a

solitary a sport as you can get I'm on

the University team now that's a

demonstration I want to see

you mustn't dive off just any old tree

the water has to be plenty deep I'm

practically swooning with excitement

well now now water's deep enough that I

know but a diving Tower that's a lot of

work we'll help we promise

avonlea's great diver takes the platform

he will be doing a feet first triple

twist layout with a reverse tuck ah

oh you got much sleep last night that

was silly you knew we had an early

Mr Lawson's soda machines arrived we're

just supposed to get nails but sodas and

I've been waiting for this day for ages

Marilla says it's nothing but tooth

rotting sugar water she says all that

effervescence can't be good well that's

cause she's never tried one

maybe three was too many

Swimming Team

I know it's obscenely late but those

sodas this afternoon they were so

delicious and I couldn't assign them

which flavor so I had three now I'm just

so giddy from the whole experience and

I'm not the least bit tired and

this way you'll keep the shoulder limber

while it heals I want to learn to dive

what's the point of stretching now that

you're limbered up you'll see how it

helps

they're as excited as we are I can't

have a lot of things going for me I just

ain't got no rhythm but I can't conduct

my arm may I remind you that your arm

has healed oh an exceedingly good point

now you'll notice the fairy Trio has

changed since you last heard them how is

that it's now a quartet

spread is joined them smash Sprite but

he was so bad they wouldn't let him join

before he practiced remembered up his

hands to be flexible and lightning quick

very well then

it doesn't seem like app Goblin or nose

and have practiced it certainly doesn't

cue the smash Sprite

smashed right your hard work has

certainly paid off

not what you and your friend have done

worked hard well sure but we never be

that spectacular you'll never know if to

give up now you're right we must give it

dive I can't dive I'll mess up you may

not be perfect but you're better because

you work so hard gaining strength and

energy eating well and getting lots of

rest you won't do a belly flop you can't
