your game-winning touchdown.

- It was crazy.

I dropped back to throw it,
but everyone was covered.

Then I realized
it was up to me to win it,

so I ran it in myself.

- Yes, it felt like you
really carried the team tonight.

- I just did what I had to
to get the win.

- And that was Bella Dawson
describing

how she singlehandedly
carried the Bulldogs to victory.

- ♪

I'm sorry, let me rephrase that.

- Yeah, congrats

- You guys know

I know that's toilet talk,
but I am not sorry.

- Yeah, this is a team.

There were ten other guys
out there busting their butts

for you the entire game.

And I know because I was

Tonight, we profile the shortest
basketball player in Texas.

He's short on height,

Whenever he comes on,
she mutters something

about running her fingers
through his man mane.

that would totally make up
for my Ace interview.

- [bell rings]

- Ooh, cool box, Newt.

And, fine, it's a box.

- Looks like your chassis
lacks significant mass.

And your max acceleration
is too low.

If you increase them both,
the kinetic force

should be enough
to pulverize your opponent.

- Whoa.

You some kind
of secret robot genius?

- Pssh, no.

My brothers watch
that fighting robot show,

and it's so loud
I can hear it in my room.

- What show? I should watch it.

- Um, "Ro...bo...Show."

- There's a show
called "Robo Show"?

- Mm-hmm.

- What channel is it on?

- I don't know,
I'm not your DVR.

Look it up.

- That was weird.

- I saw Gracie
making fun of your robot.

- I'm glad.

She is so mean.

- She is so right.

Maybe you should spend more time
trying to pass my class

and less time
with your jock friends

pumping iron and getting swole.

- I am not a jock.

I can barely lift this robot.

Look.

Oh, wow, football has
done wonders for my physique.

Watch out, ladies.

Who's your favorite person

I pitched the story
to Chuck Dodge,

and he wants to interview
the team for "Silverado Sports."

- Oh my gosh.

Chuck Dodge is my favorite
person in the whole wide world.

- Hey!
- I'm kidding. It's you!

- We are going to be interviewed
by the Chuck Dodge?

Silverado's Clooney?

- Yeah.

- You know, I was once called
Silverado's Liam Hemsworth.

Fine, by my mom.

Hey, but you gotta admit,
it's still impressive.

- Is it?

- I know all about
being on camera.

I used to be a baby model.

- It was one diaper commercial.

- And how many diaper
commercials have you done, Troy?

getting my robot battle ready.

during football practice
tomorrow,

so make sure you rest up
for your close-ups.

- [sighs] Thanks
for lining this up, Bella.

It's so cool that we're finally

going to get some recognition,
too.

You may not know this about me,

but I have
a little bit of an ego.

- Hey, Sophie.

So I tried your idea

about increasing
the mass of the chassis.

- Uh, not my idea,

- Right. Well, it was terrible.

- Yeah, whoever
came with that is stupid

and obviously knows nothing
about robotics.

- [door slams]

it was the dumbest idea

since Luis tried to get us

- Well, clearly you didn't
calculate your force ratios

correctly, otherwise it
would have been a foolproof fix.

And nothing is as stupid
as Lil Weezy!

- I knew it,
you're a robotics genius.

- Ssssh!

- I was playing you.

Your suggestion totally worked.

You have to help me
win tomorrow.

- I'm sorry, but I can't.

If anyone finds out
I'm good at science,

my teachers will put me
in advanced classes.

- Sophie, hasn't anyone
ever told you to lean in,

sit at the table,
and have it all, sister?

- I'm not gonna do it.

Gracie keeps calling me a jock.

I am not a jock.

I failed the Presidential
Physical Fitness test

three times.

- Fine. But on one condition.

No one can find out
I'm good at science.

Normal science is the only class
I have with Bella and Pepper.

If I get moved up into Honors,
I'll never see them at school.

- Done.
I'm great at keeping secrets.

Ever since my parents got
divorced, most of my dad's

He wanted to stay
and do your interviews,

a major sports emergency.

- A sports emergency?

- The shortest basketball
player turned out to be a kid.

Where are our heroes?

- True, yeah.

But Chuck wants Pepper
to do your interviews.

- I don't know.

This all sounds a little fishy.

I mean, why would he trust
Pepper to do it?

- He trusts Pepper
with everything, even his hair.

- [gasps] His man mane?
- Mm-hmm.

- Oh, that changes everything.

- I'm sorry we gave you
a hard time before, Bella.

- Yeah, we really
should have trusted you.

- You know,
if you all want some advice

about being
in front of the camera,

I learned a lot
from my last modeling gig.

- That was 14 years ago.

And you were a baby.

- Baby model.

- ♪

- [robot buzzing]

- Thanks for the help, Sophie.

gotten k*ller's wiring right.

- [robot whirring]

- [sawing]

- Oooh, that was great, Sawyer.

Now let's make your interview
look good, too.

- Sawyer, what's your secret
to making such great catches?

- Well, I see the ball
in the air,

then I reach my hands out

to where I think
the ball's gonna be.

Now if it isn't there, I move
my hands to where the ball is.

- Okay, I think we got it.

- No, no, no,
this is the fun part.

I catch the ball,
then I run real fast.

And if someone's in the way,
I go a different way.

And if someone's there, too,
I got some real choices to make.

- Okay, that's enough.

Let me get you
running to the end zone.

- Okay.

- Hey, are you sure
that'll work?

- Don't worry.

I'll just edit it down to him
smiling and saying,

[imitating Sawyer]
"I run real fast."

- ♪

- [whistle blows]

- [cheering]

- PEPPER: Luis,
you're in the trenches doing

the dirty work for the team,
blocking and tackling.

How do you get motivated?

- I'm a Bulldog.
I wake up motivated.

- PEPPER: Uh, Luis, can you look
straight at the camera, please?

- Sure.

Is that better?

- PEPPER: No.

- What about that?

- Perfect.
- BELLA: Perfect.

- ♪

- BELLA: Troy, so how do you
stay in such great shape

for football season?

- I'm just naturally ripped.

Lucky I guess.

Bu-bam!

- That was perfect.

- We can edit

- I can't wait to show our work
to Chuck Dodge.

He is going to love this story.

- I hate this story.

This is all the stuff I didn't
want to sh**t earlier.

- Well, we figured
if we showed you that our team

was the real story,
you'd put them on the air.

- Well, the only story
I see here is

"Dashing reporter's time
wasted by...

well-dressed
yet incompetent intern."

- Hey, I thought
you were my mentor.

You gave me all that good advice
about eating my vegetables

and how to smile with my eyes.

- Well, how's this for advice?

Stop wasting my time.

Second of all,
without my teammates,

we wouldn't win a single game.

But for some reason
I get all the attention.

the guys' interview,

It airs in an hour.

to go get my hair steamed.

- I can't believe

I better go tell the guys
and hope they can get over it.

- Bella.

left in the fight,

has Gracie Grenshaw's Bot-zilla
on the ropes.

- I hope your family recycles,
Gracie.

'Cause your robot is trash.

- Oooh,
the hammer's gonna overheat

if he keeps using it so much.

- [robot fizzles]

- Oh no, k*ller's
getting k*lled.

- Don't worry.
I'll give it a proper burial.

Right next to your dignity.

- ♪

- [crash]
- [gasps]

- ♪

- [bell rings]

- What a battle.

If Newt can't fix his robot
before the final round begins--

- [mouths] I'm sorry.

- ACE:--Gracie's
bot-zilla will destroy it.

- Next year, I'm going to build
a time machine so I can go back

and kick your jock butt again

and again and again
and again and again.

- That's it.
Girlfriend's gonna get it today.

- Sophie, what are you doing?

- The hammer's obviously not
working, and Gracie knows that.

towards our advantage.

- What do you mean?

- Trust me. All you have to do
is ram Bot-zilla from the side

on the remote.

- Got it. Thanks, Sophie.

I really want to beat that nerd.

- Hey, I'm the jock.

You're the one fixing robots.

- ♪

The final round.

It looks bleak for Newt
and his robot k*ller.

- [bell rings]

- ♪

- It's not a hammer anymore.

- ♪

- [crash]

- In your face-y Gracie.

- [crowd cheering]

- What a comeback.

Newt Van Der Rohe wins!

- [crowd cheering]

- Actually, no.

Newt, I'm sorry to say
you're disqualified.

You received assistance from
Sophie, who's not in the class.

I would have stopped it earlier,

but I'm a sucker
for robot violence.

[laughs] My bad.

- Yes! I win! I'm the best.

I'm so--
- You won on a technicality.

Tone it down, nerd.

- Sophie, I'm very impressed
with your grasp of robotics.

I'm going to ask you be placed
in Advanced Science.

- What?

No, Mr. Matoo,
you can't do that.

Sophie's a dumb jock like me.

She doesn't know anything.

- Nice try, Newt,
but you can't fool me.

[laughs]

- It's okay, Newt,

I shouldn't hide my smarts.

Even if it means giving up
classes with my friends.

- You know, I had my doubts
