hello oh hi today's picture day

yeah Leon's bringing his camera and

we're all going to pose for a big group

picture yeah it'll be

fun but I'm

worried I'm worried because I wear

glasses yeah the kids at school make fun

of me because I wear glasses so I don't

want to have my picture taken with me

wearing glasses because then they're

going to make fun of me because the

picture will have me with glasses on and

then I'll look bad oh I don't know what

Jody hey I know what I can do I'll take

off my glasses and hide them

yeah wow things really look blurry

without my glasses but that's okay I'll

look great in the picture

why I'm not wearing my

Jody wow I have never seen you wear so

smell it smells like um like uh

strawberries oh it's my new strawberry

sanded shampoo does it make my hair look

soft and shiny like it says in the

commercial oh yes your hair is soft and

shiny all right but

uh your nose is a little cold what

again this is very unusual one minute it

smells like strawberry and the next it

smells like um um maybe like a dog oh

yes but uh but a nice clean

different about you today uh different

about me uh well uh oh I'm shorter yes I

am shorter today you're shorter yep well

how'd you do that uh how'd I do that uh

oh I was trimming my toenails and I made

them shorter so uh that made me shorter

oh yeah right Jody let me ask you a

question do you like having your picture

taken like it oh I love it but it's not

just me lots of kids like having

somebody take their picture

I like this picture because it's me and

my friend Jean at her birthday

party this is a picture of me and my

sister when she was just born and she

was still in the

hospital I really like my picture

because I like the background of it and

it reminds me of my

school this is my favorite picture

because my brother is very special to me

this is my favorite photo because

because it's probably the only family

photo that my family has ever

taken I like this Photograph because I

went to the trip to Jamaica and my

grandmother suggested that I should take

a picture with the water in back of me

at the

beach I like this picture because it's

of me at school and I really really like

school this is a picture of me and my

family in Central Park

well of course those kids love having

their pictures taken most of them don't

wear uh you know Jody they don't wear

things on their faces well what kind of

things is Ben people people can we get

some help back here oh come on can't you

see that my assistant needs some help we

important that's the reason so many

people wear them Benny yeah but those

kids at school will still tease me yeah

pair of glasses here in your pocket but

they couldn't possibly be yours why not

because they don't look goofy they look

like a nice regular set of

glasses no Julie you might think they're

a nice regular pair of glasses but some

of the kids at School say they're

goofy Ben Ben you don't wear glasses as

a fashion

statement well not just as a fashion

statement you wear them for an important

reason look how did you realize you

needed glasses in the first place well I

couldn't read things right in school

like Signs and books and stuff

everything looked real fuzzy so my mom

took me to the eye doctor

actually it was kind of fun and I'm not

the only kid that thinks so

oh I'm having trouble seeing things

clearly so here I am for check with Dr

Hong she's an optometrist an eye

doctor Dr Hong uses lots of cool

equipment to check out my eyes very good

this is called a

forup it's like looking through a pair

of glasses what's the top lines of

letters that you can read down there o p

l b I read the Letters Out Loud but

sometimes they look fuzzy b d f

g this instrument works like a

flashlight it tests how my eyes react to

light watching Straight

okay what it is is basically a

microscope I'm going to take a look at

the front health of your eyes it's going

to be a light here it'll feel a little

warm going to the eye doctor doesn't

hurt a

bit okay and we'll check the other eye

terrific today I found out I need

glasses to help me see better this is

for you to go pick up your new glasses

downstairs

I love trying on glasses Let's uh try

one at a time and see which ones suit

you the best there are so many to choose

cloudy I couldn't see what I wanted to

see now things look brand new it makes

me happy it's true to see everything the

way it should
