now I have to make sure that the tree

looks nice and even so I will cut a

branch in this side

wrong with asking people to help you

sometimes it's the best way to get

something done mhm what kinds of things

do you ask people to help you

do I I tried to build a popsicle house

by myself but but I couldn't do it so I

asked my friend Sophia and my friend

Tisha to to help me and then they helped

me um glue the Popsicles together to

make the house well I wanted to clean up

my room so I asked my brother if he

could help me I was writing in script

like a r and my mommy helped me how to

do the r and then I did by myself I

wanted to like build this um um sand

castle by myself but I couldn't so I

asked some of my friends if they can

help see sometimes asking for help is

the best thing to do yeah well that's

what Kiki should do boy she sounds

really worried about that tree let's go

see if we can help her all right let's

back up here I almost had a catastrophe

yep yep I wanted to do it myself but but

then when I had trouble I got this wild

feeling to try harder and harder and

harder but it just wasn't working

sometimes I feel

lost I don't know what to

do I try to do to too much and bite off

more than I can tell I pretend

everything's okay but I'm hiding behind

a

Mas I know I need some help but I don't

know how a sh just give me a little meow

okay and I'll help you out

somehow that's all you really have to do

there so if I'm trying to do something

and I can't and I start feeling worried

and scared I should ask for help you got

it but but I want to be a big girl and

big girls don't ask for help like

grownups oh Kiki grown-ups ask for help

too even people who do wonderful things

all by themselves need other people to

help

them good and right there this is Amanda

Ward there you go good okay better

that's

better figure skating is skating on a

blade that's less than a/ qu in and

jumping up into the air and doing

acrobatics and turns and twists hold

okay that's it head up keep that head

focused up there's a lot to learn when

you're a figure skater my coaches help

me in many ways and when they correct me

I don't take it personally they're not

trying to be mean they're trying to help

me get your back up

okay that's good Marilyn is my main

coach she teaches me jumping and she

knows how to work with me she works with

me very well good and whenever I have

problems she knows exactly how to help

me with my

problems okay it was too

tight it was too tight Amanda you

stepped in too close right I think what

my coach does for me is valuable because

not only in skating but you can use it

when you're out of the rank you can use

it in other things that happen in life

yes that's it that is the best one I've

seen you do Barbara is my spin coach and

she teaches me how to spin shoulder and

lift I don't like to spin because you

get really dizzy and sometimes you get a

stomach ache and Barbara is important to

me because she's the only spin coach

that can deal with my attitude towards

spinning and work with me and get me to

work regardless to how I feel about

spinning when I'm doing my program in

front of an audience and TV cameras

gives me the biggest throw because

everything that I practice I can show

Everybody by listening to her coaches

Amanda has become one of the best young

figure skaters in the country it just

shows what you can do with the right

kind of

help wow she needs all those people to

help

her well if I run into trouble I'm going

to ask people to help me too

Kyle JY will you to help me with a tree

please yeah sure yeah but Kiki yeah

um where is the

tree uh

well uh uh it's right

here well oh my that's the

tree still alive uh yeah and uh and you

can still tell that uh it's a tree yeah

yeah yeah which is um really uh great

really great yeah yeah yeah oh I'm so

sorry I didn't ask for help sooner me

too and don't tell me to put the

branches back on see try that didn't

work I wonder let's see here do maybe um

oh I got it we could um yeah no no

that's not going to work um oh I got it

why we just uh uh uh

topiary who's he it's not a who it's a

what topiary is when you trim a tree or

a shrub to make it look like something

else it's sort of like sculpture with

plants huh

wow this is a topiary garden and it

needs a good trim Shar in here is just

the woman to do

it a long hedge Clipper a pair of safety

glasses and she's in

[Music]

business she Trims and Smooths and

rounds off all those fantastic topiary

shapes

sometimes the topiaries are so big that

she needs a mechanical lift called a

cherry picker to get up

high whether it's just the bushes in

front of your house or fancy birds and

bunnies like these you just can't hack

at it you got to train it trim it and

prune it carefully part sculpture part

plant it's all topiary

wow those are

great but I don't know if I can do that

with this tree uh hey will you two help

me absolutely yeah let's get started oh

is because I asked Kyle and Jody to help

me didn't they do an excellent job
