jonathan ran for his life through the

dark twisting castle turret away from

the most frightening and hideous

creature the beastly ghost

meanwhile jonathan's sister rebecca was

frantically searching for her brother

and when she heard the ghostly screech

it said icy fingers down her back

rebecca only hoped she wasn't too late

she raced up the stairs to the corridor

rebecca was planting jonathan she called

but the only answer was marcela time for

dinner huh okay mom i'm coming isn't

this the best story i think this is my

favorite book ghost and other scary

stuff marcella

wow i love that scary story

[Applause]

especially the part where that ugly

disgusting repulsive creepy oh get on

with it andy

oh yeah uh ghost who's chasing jonathan

and the howling part

well i can't wait to find out how the

story ends

i hope it's happy oh naturally

who cares in my opinion the entire story

is just plain ridiculous good thing we

don't want your opinion no

the point is that there is no such thing

as ghosts it's common knowledge you know

therefore anyone who believes in such a

thing is a big baby

somebody or thing is out there in the

that's great and but what are we gonna

the ghost said it was gonna try to scare

us he's doing a great job worse than

that we're lost

and even worse than that there's no sign

what else can go wrong please don't ask

i'm thinking we've got to figure out

some answers and they're probably as

plain as the nose on my face that's what

i'm trying to tell you

what purple paint that means camel must

have been here so if we feel around for

wet paint we can follow his trail okay

let's go but carefully who knows what

we're going to find

whistle then he somehow lost the whistle

and we found it hmm that whistles the

key to getting rid of him

i know we've got to get the whistle and

beastly back into the book

chapter two through the dark twisting

castle turret too early we've got to get

him back into the story at just the

right place you mean we're actually

gonna get into the book sure if beastly

came out of it he can take us back

inside right in

help your brother's in big trouble and

i think if we figure out what to do with

the whistle the story will be back on

track

and then we can go home

it wow it's some kind of laboratory this

guy must be a relative of rebecca and

jonathan's yeah like their great great

grandfather look over here a diary

december 14

1888 today i finally rid the castle of

the beastly ghost

he's back here in the story all right

hurry finish reading it in we don't have

much time

um

read the ghost with my latest invention

a whistle which you blow three times and

the ghost will disappear that's it

wow he was the first original

ghostbuster we have to leave the whistle

right here for rebecca to find

now i've got to make sure those kids

how could you fall asleep like that we

could have been stuck in there well it

took you long enough

it was just a few chapters grouchy bear

oh and everybody i had the strangest

know the weirdest dream last night that

the beastly ghost was here i guess i

just couldn't wait to finish reading the

story oh there's my book i've been

looking all over for it we can read the

story right now

jonathan could hear the beastly ghost

coming closer and closer

[Music]

but there was no answer rebecca had

never felt so alone and so afraid by

happenstance she leaned against the

hidden panel in the wall and fell

backwards

into a secret room it was really rebecca

and jonathan's great-great-grandfather's

laboratory where rebecca found a diary

on top of the diary was a very special

looking whistle which the diary said if

rebecca blue would get rid of the

beastly ghost

[Music]

just as the beastly ghost was about to

get jonathan

[Applause]

sure enough the whistle sound made the

awful beastly ghost disappear jonathan

raced off to find rebecca who was

looking for him

she was relieved to find her brother all

right

and they lived happily ever after

gosh what a great story

but i'm sure glad there's no such thing

as real ghosts

except in books
