[vehicle sputtering,

Wow! It's the Grutely Volunteers.

I wonder why Roger and Anita
need their help.

[man]
Well, the truth is, folks,

the Grutely Volunteer Fire Department
needs your help.

[boom!]

Oh, not again!

Well, don't just stand there, put it out!

[chuckles]

You see, folks,

Old Red here keeps a-catchin' on fire.

And the Bank of De Vil won't lend us
the money for an overhaul.

Oh, yeah, well, you can't fight fires
without equipment.

[Anita] Roger and I will be happy to help
in any way we can, Chief.

Uh, thanks, but what I really need
is the help of your Dalmatian pups.

Huh?

We'd like to raise money
with a mascot contest.

And we'd like to hold it
right here on the farm.

Folks can pay to sponsor
their favorite puppy,

and at the end of the day, we'll crown
the winner our Chief Firedog!

-Whoa!
-Mmm!

Best of all, you'll be helping to restore
an aging beauty.

Aaaaah!

[siren wails]

Wow! Chief Firedog.

I can totally see it now.

Why, if I was Chief Firedog,
I'd proclaim a hydrant for every dog!

[dogs whooping]

I'd be the envy
of all my fellow canines.

[Cadpig] Attention,
Flight Director Lucky.

Your ego trip has been cancelled.

Now, if I was Chief Firedog,

I'd use my title to promote peace
among all species.

Be not afraid, little ones.

Animals of all types
would admire my compassion.

[cats cheering]

Gosh, you know what I'd do
if I was Chief Firedog?

Why, I'd crank the sirens

so Old Red could speed
through traffic in an emergency.

May I take your order, Rolly?

Ah, my chest would swell with pride
if I was Chief Firedog.

You know, you're right, kids.

Being Chief Firedog is a thrill.

But seeing as we're Dalmatians,
it's also our family duty.

In fact, our family has a tradition
of being the best firedogs in the land,

beginning with your great great
great grandfather Rolando.

Hey, I look just like him.

Your mother and I always hoped
you'd follow in his paw steps, Rolly.

Rolly as Chief Firedog? Gimme a break.

Yeah, our Rolando's
a bit too rotundo.

[grumbling]

Don't be discouraged, Rolly.

Remember, when it comes
to setting goals for yourself,

if you can imagine it,
you can become it.

Yeah, so there!

I can be Chief Firedog!

Sure, Rolly, and remember,
there's no pressure.

Just your family's honor at stake.

[Lucky and Cadpig laughing]

[Cruella]
Chief Firedog contest?

"This Saturday at the Dearly Farm,

sponsor your favorite puppy with a
donation to the Grutely Fire Department"?

Ohh! Do you know what this means?

Balloons and ice cream
and cute little happy puppies.

Ooh!

No! It means I'll lose a fortune!

For years, I've been trying to drive
the Grutely Volunteers out of business

so I could debut my new product:

the De Vil Dime-a-Drip Fire Hydrant.

It looks like a fire hydrant
but works like a parking meter.

Just drop in your change up here,

and a carefully regulated
ration of water spills out here.

Because with Cruella de Vil,
a drop in my bucket

means a drop in your bucket.

[both] Huh?

Now, go destroy that contest!

We've got to make sure the
Grutely Volunteers don't make a cent!

Well, you know, guys,
when I'm Chief Firedog,

you can come visit me at the firehouse
whenever you want.

But Dad said it's my destiny
to be Chief Firedog.

He said if I can imagine it,
I can become it.

Well, right now, Rolly, I'm imagining
you're a hopeless dreamer.

[gasp]

Look, you've become one!

[chuckling]

[Pug]
Now hear this, cadets!

Chief Firedog honors don't come easy.

[all] Sergeant Pug?

A firedog has to be
more than just cute,

they gotta be a lean, mean,
fire-fightin' machine!

And that means training.

So front and center, puppies!

Hey, what about chickens?

Sorry, needle neck.
Poultry don't qualify.

But I do know a position
where you exceed qualifications.

-What's that?
-A rescue dummy.

Attention!

The firemen have designed
an obstacle course

to test your firedog skills.

Starting with one paw on the cone,

first pull the fire axe out of the stump,

then it's over the monkey bars.

After a jump over the water trough,
it's up and down the fire pole.

Then through the tires
and leap onto the fire hose reel

to unwind the hose.

Last, grab our rescue dummy
and jump into the fire blanket

for the old "stop, drop and roll!"

Now, who wants to go first?

[dogs yipping]

Sorry, Grandpa Rolando.

Guess, I'm just Chief Fire Dud.

This barn will be our base of operations.

Now, find a way to steal
that donation box.

Steal the donation box?

Now, how can I create
some type of distraction? Hmm.

[yipping]

[crowd murmuring]

He must have spotted a cupcake!

[giggling]

Easy, easy there now, little fella!

Why, that's a fine alarm bark
you're demonstrating there.

Whoa! The barn's on fire!

The animals!

[crowd gasping, exclaiming]

[Cruella] That's strange.
It was sunny out just a few minutes ago.

Well, don't just stand there.
Put it out!

[chuckles]

[starts engine]

[meowing]

Oh, no, Tibbs!

I'll get him!

Introducing the De Vil
Dime-a-Drip Fire Hydrant.

-And where there's Jasper...
-Aaaaaah!

[Anita and Roger] Horace!

[Roger] And where there's
Jasper and Horace, there's always...

[all] Cruella de Vil.

I should have known
it was you who started this fire.

Fire? What fire?

I don't know what you're talking about.
I don't even know how to start a fire.

That leaves just one question.

Who's that brave little puppy?

-[Roger] Him?
-[Anita, chuckling] Why, that's Rolly.

Well, you may call him Rolly,
but I've got another name for him.

Chief Firedog!

Congratulations, pup!

[Rolly] I'll try to make you proud,
Grandpa Rolando.

Mmmm!

Hey!

Rolly, you really must learn
to control your appetite.

Appetite shouldn't... control you!

[gulp]

[sigh]

Oh, Rolly!

Gluttony is one of
the seven deadly sins.

And, if you do that to me again,
I'm gonna violate the other six on you!

[gurgling] [burp]

Did you say something?

[man] Hmm, the chunky one

Perhaps he'd like a little dessert.

[chimes playing simple tune]

[diabolical chuckling]

The ice-cream man!

Strawberry HooHa! Hooray!

Whooo!

Hello, ice cream.

Yum-yum.

-[squawks]
-[thud!]

Hello, little fella.

You look like you might want
a Strawberry HooHa.

Go ahead, have a sip.

[sniffs]

Ahhhh!

There's more where that came from.

I've got a whole truckload.

Uh-oh, someone came between
Rolly and dessert.

Where am I?

[gasp]

[maniacal laughter]

Ahem.

Hey, the ice cream guy's
taking off with Rolly.

His food-first attitude
has gotten him in trouble again.

We've gotta rescue him.

Huh. We can follow the ice-cream scent.

[sniffing]

Come on!

[puppies yipping, chimes playing]

Uggh!

[machine beeping]

Mother fed you well, didn't she?

Pudgy, aren't we, today?

Whoaaaa! Ohh!

Uggggh!

[sighs]

What a lucky little gluttonous
poochy you are.

-[gasp]
-You're going to be the first to taste

the new-and-improved HooHa.

The only frozen dairy product
that makes you lighter than air

because it's 99% helium.

The more you eat,
the lighter you get.

[maniacal laughter]

Ahem.

-Ugggh!
-Arrgh!

Oh! Can't get in that way.

Hey, let's try over there.

[Lucky] Check the windows.

[Rolly whimpering]

[gasping]

Waaah!

[retching]

Hey, over here.

It's a laboratory
with animals in cages.

[gasp] How unenlightened.

Treating us like we're lower lifeforms.

[Rolly] Cadpig, is that you? [burp!]

I'd know that belch anywhere.

[hiccup] Hi, guys.
What are you doing here?

Trying to get you
out of this dungeon.

Dungeon? There's free HooHas.

They don't cost nothin'!

They cost you your freedom.

Oh, whaddya mean?
I like it here.

He doesn't realize.
He's drunk with calories.

This is serious.

We'd better get Mom and Dad.

You don't have a clue
why you're here, do ya?

Sure. It's 'cause I like ice cream.

No. Because you're being tested.

Tested? Tested for what?

[Turtle] Hey, wake up
and smell the coffee!

They're testing food additives on us.

I've been eating mocha, espresso,
java, jolt juice for weeks!

I'm about to jump out of my shell!

Eh-eh-oooooh! Eh-eh!

They're using us to find out

if the stuff they put in the ice cream
has side effects.

You look fine to me.

They've been testing
glow-in-the-dark sprinkles on me.

I can't sneak around at night
shining like a beacon.

How can I knock over garbage cans
and steal food in this condition?

Ohh.

Wonder what HooHa Lite will do to me.

Lucky was right,
I gotta get outta here!

And he's in a cage
and he can't get out.

[sighs]

Huh. His digestion is
giving me indigestion.

Let's get a move on.

Okay, here's the plan.

Rolly, you divert him
whilst I steal the keys.

Swifty, once we're out,
you run interference.

You guys all right with this?

Well, I am, but Swifty here
seems a little nervous.

What do you mean?

I've never been so relaxed
in all my life!

[gasp] Here he comes!

Hello again.

Time to examine you for side effects.

And you have so many sides
to choose from. [chuckles]

Good heavens, you've eaten five pounds
of HooHa Lite and taken off ten!

I must record this data.

Where is that ledger?

[gasp]

Hey, where is he going?

Where are you, you spotted
little suction pump, you?

[Rolly burps]

[gasp] HooHa is light!

I think we used a bit too much helium.

Come here!

Aaaah!

Oh, dear. Uggh!

Whoa-oh-oh-oh!

Here he comes.

Uggh!

Like taking candy from a baby.

[Rolly exhaling]

This calls for the net.

Good diversion, Rollster.

Yeah, I improvised.
But how do I get down?

Hurry, everybody,
he'll be back any second.

Don't worry, I'll keep him busy.

Aha! Hee hee!

Ooh!

I'm all right.

Ohhhh...

Follow me. I'll light the way.

[animals screeching]

Ouch!

Guys, don't leave me here!

Ah-chooo! Chooo! Chooo!

In case of a water landing,
you are my flotation device.

Come back here!

You floating fleabag!

[maniacal laughter]

Whoaaa!

Ooh! Oh, nooooo!

Bombs away!

Aaaah!

Oh, that smarts.

Whoaaaa!

No, not the sprinkles.

Not the sprinkles!

Nooo!

[yipping]

Wait! Here comes Rolly.

-What's up?
-You are. But how?

I... I ate too much, Ma.

Rolly, we've told you
never to take candy from strangers.

I hope you've learned your lesson.

We should ground you for this.

Wow! Would ya?
The sooner, the better, Dad.

-[burp]
-[deflating]

[sighs] That's better.

[chuckles]

Ya-hoo-ha!

Come back here, I'm not finished
with my experiments yet.

Huh?

Oh, no.

Help!

[groaning]

Say, get me down this instant!

Oh, this isn't faaaaaair!

Talk about your just desserts.

[chuckles]
