improvement since the stroke,

but it's been uneven, which

is why I ordered these scans.

Frankly, I was concerned we'd

find something like this.

But Dad's only 75.

I have dementia patients who

are a lot younger than Sid.

How quickly will it come on?

Doctor: We need more tests,

but what we've seen

so far does suggest

relatively rapid onset.

There must be

something we can do.

I mean, I read about people

The scene's only just been

cleared by firearms, so

about what's going on,

so I'd appreciate it if

you could shed some light.

It's a safe house sheltering,

a protective witness

and his family,

subject to strict

secrecy orders,

which I trust you will respect.

What kind of witnesses

are we talking about?

[ Solemn music ]

In addition to the female

victim in the kitchen,

we have two adult males.

daughter, a 12-year-old.

Jardine: I'll chase it up, but

presumably she was at school.

Tomasic: First male

victim alive,

but unconscious when police

arrived, carrying an ID,

which names him as Detective

Sergeant Simon Thomas Browning.

Presumably a cover name?

Anything else on

him other than ID?

Tomasic: Two smartphones.

One work, one personal.

The other victim, mid-40s,

already deceased when the

firearm squad entered.

Premises appears to have

been searched, ransacked,

but there's nothing

obviously missing.

This was a professional hit.

So if I'm gonna

make sense of it,

I need you to tell me who

the victims really were,

as much information

as you can give me.

Which at this point is nothing.

Wheatley: Yes, you need to

speak to your DCI first,

I don't have the authority

to discuss these matters,
