There's a severe storm warning

for portions of Morris County,

with strong winds expected in

Marshalltown around 3:00 AM.

Sheriff Doug Abernathy is

trying to get the word out

to the community to brace themselves.

When asked, he's quoted as saying,

"It's nothing to be too concerned about.

Lord knows it isn't

going to be like in '84,

but it is something we

should pay attention to.

We hope this thing's not gonna develop

into a tornado or anything,

but after what we've

been through in the past,

we're not taking any chances."

Service says the storm

is moving northeast,

and with the exception of

some rain and strong winds,

it shouldn't affect the Marshalltown area.

Two weeks ago I

was driving to drop off my son

at work and on the way back

was through the country.

Do you live out in the country?

No, but the

trip has me between towns.

Anyway, I was near the old dump,

and something was standing

right next to the road.

Wait a minute, something?

It was huge, like 12 feet tall,

covered in hair and just stood

there looking into the woods

with its back to me.

And now are you sure it wasn't a bear?

No, we don't

have bears in Indiana.

The largest thing I

think we have is cougars,

and the DNR says they aren't in the area.

I've seen two hit on the

side of the road though,

so I don't know.

Wait a minute, cougars?

That's something I did

not know about Indiana.

I know, I stopped the car

as soon as I could and backed up.

I got back in time to see it moving

through the trees and down the creek.

Now, were you able to

take a picture of it?

I mean, you know, people

have these smartphones.

You can take a whole movie

I was on the phone with a

buddy asking if we had bears

in the area, which was dumb, I guess.
