01x04 - Who Lives There?

Post by bunniefuu »

[whistling]

[Raúl] Edu!

You're never gonna guess

who I left the sh**t with.

- [Gina] Raúl

- What's Uh

Sorry. I didn't know.

I had no idea that

I didn't know any of this, I I swear.

[Gina sniffles, sobs]

I'm not going anywhere, okay?

I promise. No matter what, all right?

[Edu] Hmm. Uh

- It'll be fine.

- [sobs] Yeah.

Well, it's time to

Let's all just breathe a little.

- 'Cause if we don't, then we'll just

- Of course, yeah.

- be crying all day, you know?

- Okay.

I mean, come on.

He's never looked better, right?

I can't believe this is happening to you.

I mean, and what I did.

I'm such a terrible person.

No, no. You aren't terrible.

You're just you.

- But you're not terrible.

- [sobs]

Okay, just don't steal the spotlight

right now, okay? It's not your problem.

Plus, you and me not getting along,

all that's in the past now,

'cause these sorts of things

bring people together, don't they?

So we'll likely end up being friends,

maybe we, I don't know,

become shopping buddies.

- Then the three of us move in together.

- No.

- Like on Friends, right?

- Fine.

Only your showers, too long.

And you'd have to give up the blow dryer

before 6 a.m.

But, listen, this guy's obviously a mess,

but it's not like you're responsible.

- As far as we know, it wasn't you.

- No, no, absolutely not.

Of course not, right? Obviously.

I just mean, well, wait and see.

So, wait. Are you saying this is my fault?

- Really? Excuse me! No.

- Well, what, then?

That wasn't even close to what I said.

Look, all I'm saying is we need

to loosen up, you know, and not get, uh

[Gina] Yeah.

- [wails]

- No, no, no, no.

Jesus. We're gonna be here all day.

["TIK TAK", David Menéndez López]

LOVE YOU TO DEATH

[high-pitched ringing]

[echoing] Marta. Are you listening

to what we're telling you?

No, I don't understand.

What's going on right now?

- I have to kick you out of the apartment.

- [dad] Uh

- Pops. Is Mom serious?

- Uh

- Now go ahead and say what you wanted.

- Ah, yeah. I wrote it down.

I have it right here.

When I found the right words,

I wrote it down

so you could understand

what it is I'm trying to say, okay?

All right, let's see. Uh, "Dear Marta"

- Uh, wait, no. This is the first draft.

- [Marta] Yeah.

- Here's the right one.

- You have to read the right version.

- Okay, here we go.

- Okay. All right.

I wrote the opening multiple times

to make sure I didn't leave anything out.

All right. "Dear Marta.

You know how much

your mother and I loved you

since the day you entered into our lives

on that August 10th"

I need you to move out, Marta. Period.

[alarm rings]

Hey, honey. Good morning!

- Oh, you're still here?

- Uh, yeah.

- Of course. Where else would I be?

- [chuckles]

Because yesterday you and I

Yes or no?

Yeah, that's what I wanted

to talk to you about.

'Cause I, uh

There was no time to talk yesterday.

And what you said about moving back in

Hold on a sec.

You have every right

to be terrified right now.

And I know you'd rather hold it in

than talk about it.

No, not at all. No, we can talk.

- But please hear me out.

- Sure. Yeah, sure.

Raúl, for real,

there's no reason to be alone.

I won't let us be separated.

I mean it, Raúl.

Please, enough with the theatrics.

How much are you raising the rent?

- It's not about the rent.

- It is about the rent.

- All right, it's a little about the rent.

- It's worth more to sell it.

You wanna sell my apartment?

Are you crazy?

Technically, it's not really yours.

No, no, no. You can't put it up for sale.

We want to sell our house too

and find something nice in the mountains.

I won't go through the next lockdown

confined like that.

Ma, Covid was like three years ago

and this is your big concern?

We overcame it, didn't we?

- Our future is in the mountains.

- We learned how to make our own bread.

Please, Mom. Will you please not do this?

Your sister would never put me

in this situation.

Why can't you be more like her?

Ana got her apartment

down payment from you.

Yeah, well, things were

very different then, all right?

She isn't chaotic about her life

and always wanted a baby.

It's true, she did.

- Oh, so it was the baby?

- Well

The baby's why you gave her the money?

Because I thought it was because

you had given me my own apartment.

- Uh Uh

- That was never the arrangement!

It was the baby. Yes, it was the baby.

So, a baby equals a house, I guess.

And if I have two, what then?

Do I get a house on the beach for that?

- That's hilarious!

- Yeah, please, encourage this nonsense.

Mom, would you just listen? I'm pregnant

too, by the way. You guys are

Oh, please. Really?

[mom laughs]

Of all the lies she's told us

over the years, this one is the strangest.

[dad laughs]

Well, for once, I'm not actually lying.

You could ask Ana. I mean it.

Give her a call if you want.

- And she'll tell you, okay?

- [mom] Oh, I'll call her.

You bet your a*s I'm calling her, then.

[Ana] Hey, Mom.

- Hi, honey. How are you?

- Is Dad all right?

- He's fine. He's right here.

- He's okay?

- Hello, honey. I'm all right. How's Joel?

- Hey, Dad.

There's just one little thing

I was hoping you could clear up.

Your sister, did she mention

a pregnancy to you?

Yeah. She's pregnant. Why?

Okay, perfect. That's all I needed.

We'll talk more soon.

- [blows kisses]

- Mom, what's going on?

And? [clears throat]

You are pregnant.

Mm-hmm.

My little mermaid is pregnant.

Yeah.

- Well, we can't kick you out, then.

- [dad] No.

You're having a baby.

It would appear that I am.

Wait, wait, wait. Was this planned at all?

Well, yeah, it was. Of course it was.

- Perfect. So who's the father, then?

- [mom] Yeah.

- Yeah, who? Is it serious?

- Mmm

Well, um [clears throat]

It's, uh, pretty serious, yeah.

- I'd sure like to meet him, right?

- Yeah, me too. Of course.

You will. [laughs]

How about today?

- How should we break it to everyone?

- Break what?

Well, break the news

about all of this, honey, you know?

- Like a video or a post or a TikTok?

- A TikTok?

People like to share their experience.

It would be motivational.

And it might even inspire others.

I don't wanna help others.

I want them to help me.

I know, but you could be a real source of

inspiration for others in need, you know?

Like this girl. Wait till you see her.

Her name's Hanna, and I follow her.

Oh, no.

She passed away.

Okay, now, wait. Look at these two.

Jaime Alcoder and María Puebla.

- Have they passed away too?

- No, no. They're still alive.

They're both perfectly fine.

A hashtag was even made in their honor.

I know you're trying to help me and all,

and I really appreciate it.

But there is no Jaime

and there's no María.

People just go about their lives

while others just die.

What are you saying? This allows

other people to join your struggle.

- Join me and do what?

- [sighs]

I have no interest in posting

pictures of me on the internet, Georgina.

Well, then what? Are you expecting me

to call them one by one?

- 'Cause I will if that's what you want.

- I don't wanna do any of that.

And your mother?

I'll tell her, but she's gonna make

a big deal out of it,

which is the last thing I need right now.

- [phone rings]

- Fine. Whatever.

MARTA FUNERAL HOME

Oh, sorry. Work is calling.

I gotta take this now.

Yeah?

[Marta] Raúl, dude, could you come over

to my place, please? It's an emergency.

- To your house? Right now?

- If it weren't important, I wouldn't ask.

Yes, now. Can you come over?

- Sure. Sure, sure, sure. Be right over.

- Oh, thank f*cking God. Thank you.

- What's your address?

- 20 Rosselló Street, ground floor.

Okay.

Um, look, Gina,

I can't focus on this right now.

- Oh, great.

- My work just called.

And they need me, so I gotta go.

I assume they don't know, then?

Why on earth would you continue to go?

Another week doesn't matter, so, yeah.

Look, I don't want

to overwhelm you, all right,

but you really need

to consider your time a lot more

and which friends to spend it with.

Okay. Well, will you please take this?

I gotta go.

Fine.

[Gina sniffs]

Wow! Your place, I love it.

It's got high ceilings,

with crown molding and hydraulic flooring.

- It's my personal palace.

- [chuckles]

And for real, I need your help

to keep it that way, Raúl.

- Really?

- Yep. I need you.

Do you remember when you said if I needed

your help with living a more adult life

that's tranquil and gets me in before six?

- Mm-hmm.

- I need your help in that way.

All right.

See, my parents want me out of the place,

so I told them that I'm pregnant.

Oh, Christ!

And it's yours.

- Huh?

- There's nothing to worry about.

They're gonna love

what a serious person you are.

What do you mean,

they're going to love me?

Well, they're on their way right now.

But don't worry. This'll be fun.

But my sister is coming,

and she's not fun.

- Uh

- But you have to get our story straight.

- And what story is that?

- The one of our love, our relationship.

- We need to create the story. Okay?

- Okay.

My parents are super conservative,

but if I'm pregnant and have a boyfriend,

then they'll let me keep the apartment.

You planning on wearing that shirt?

- It's fine.

- Yeah.

We'd better get started.

There's a lot to go over.

This is my sister Ana.

She's my younger sis and pregnant as well.

Is her pregnancy real?

Yes. To her it's everything.

She loves when you ask her things.

Like she's the only woman

to have ever had a child.

- Ana.

- "Oh, my God.

It's inside me, growing.

How can I ever describe it?"

- That sort of stuff, you know?

- Uh-huh.

That's so her.

Then we have Celia and César.

- My parents.

- Okay.

- Celia, the judge.

- A court judge?

Well, she's not really.

She just tells everyone that,

but really she's the judge's secretary.

- This is César, okay?

- Uh-huh.

He worked as an officer in a prison.

He must be a pretty tough dude, then?

Not really, no. [laughs]

He's a total doormat.

At least your parents aren't separated.

'Cause mine are separated.

There's no time right now.

We'll circle back to this.

- But a relationship can't be one-sided.

- This is important.

You see him? That's my dog, Rex.

We had him when I was a kid.

My grandma named him after the TV series.

- Uh-huh.

- Remember that, okay?

- Grandma, Rex, series. All right.

- Rex, like the show. That's important.

And isn't it a bit strange

that you don't have any photos of us?

Uh We still have to go

to the supermarket.

We'll get groceries,

then we'll make, like, a picture diary

that'll show our relationship

at various stages.

- Sure.

- Okay, come on, come on.

This looks like Notting Hill, doesn't it?

- Like Like a café in Notting Hill?

- Yeah.

Good.

Here. Under the poplar.

- Did it burn you?

- No, no.

You're in spring,

so winter's another concept.

Yeah, right there.

Oh, that's a great position, yeah.

- Want me to take this one?

- Yes, Mom. Would you relax, please?

I said we'll see you there.

- That's perfect.

- Okay, I'll tell 'em.

Yeah, really, you think that it's cool

that I make more than you.

So what do you think? Can you tell

that this photo's been printed?

Uh, no, I can't tell. That's gonna work.

- [chuckles] Great.

- [sighs]

Okay.

Uh, set all of the places at the table,

because most parents

really love that, right?

Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

You're right. Good call.

Your cooking smells incredible.

[sniffs] Mmm.

Oh, sh*t. Is that vegan? I'm a vegetarian.

No, you're not.

- According to you, life is too short.

- Boom.

And your favorite dish

is whatever's covered in ketchup.

Okay, you're a lawyer.

We'll say you work at a law firm.

Yeah, but I don't actually work at one,

so I'd prefer not to lie.

Yeah, but you really are a lawyer.

- Sure, I'm a lawyer.

- So there it is.

- I have my degree.

- So it's truthful, then.

- Right.

- Besides, my parents are really

You know, they like

they like things grandiose.

Uh-huh.

If you try to impress them, they'll

leave you alone and won't ask questions.

Okay, I'm just going to exaggerate, then.

Exactly. Exaggerate.

- And go crazy big with it.

- Right. Go big. Got it.

And let's see Hmm

What about how we touch?

Uh, meaning?

Should we stand more

- Or

- Uh, maybe you could grab my waist?

- Yeah, like that.

- Something like, "Hello."

- But without the robot voice.

- Right?

And if you feel like kissing,

make sure there's no tongue, all right?

- No tongue? Really?

- What do you think?

- No idea.

- What's your gut say?

It says without tongue when in public.

Right, but if you get carried away,

I'll follow your lead.

Like we're dying to get it on,

but we won't.

- Right. Should we practice?

- Got it? Do that and they'll love you.

- I don't want to

- . Yes.

- How is it?

- Try it. It's hot. Careful.

- Super hot?

- [blows]

- Mmm. Mmm!

- You like it? No?

- It's unreal. Incredible.

- It's all right? Yeah? Are you sure?

- So turning me on. What's in it?

- Mmm.

Mmm. Well, let's see

I made the sofrito from scratch, added

the veal, cooked it till it was tender,

and then I finished

with a pinch of nutmeg.

What did you say?

Yeah, nutmeg. At the end.

Really elevates it.

Are you f*cking with me?

- What's wrong?

- You used nutmeg?

- Yeah.

- Unbelievable.

- Why? What is it?

- Oh, sh*t.

- [water running]

- Is this one of your tests?

- I'm allergic.

- Allergic? Are you kidding?

- I'm allergic!

- But we bought the nutmeg together.

Yeah, but, f*ck,

I thought it was a f*cking pepper!

Nutmeg's gonna make my throat swell

like that, or rather my tongue will swell.

Should we go to the hospital?

- Yes or no?

- No, no, we don't have any time.

If I go to the hospital,

they'll know I lied to them.

Oh, wait, I have pills.

Yes. I at least have a pill. Damn,

this is gonna take forever to kick in.

Is that enough?

I have to do something. What do I have

that's frozen? Some peas. Perfect.

- [groans]

- Does it hurt?

It'll pass. No, well, a little.

I mean, it burns, you know?

How does it look?

Oh, this is cauliflower.

Well, how does it look, huh?

A bit swollen.

- Yeah?

- Yeah.

- Oh, sh*t! I can see my nose is swollen.

- No, it's fine. Don't worry.

But it was an honest mistake, wasn't it?

[slurred] If you were really my lover,

I mean, well, you would have known

you couldn't ever cook with that.

I can't understand what you're saying.

My boyfriend has to know

what my allergies are!

Your boyfriend has to know your allergies.

- Yes!

- [doorbell rings]

Oh! They just had to be punctual. f*ck!

- Oh, hey! There you guys are!

- [Celia] There she is.

Is your mouth all right?

I'm fine. It's just Botox. Just a few

little shots, like, around here.

Honey, I don't think you should be

doing that. You're perfect already.

- Why do this, seriously?

- Okay, Dad, thanks. So come on inside.

It's time for you all to meet Raúl.

- [Raúl] Hello.

- Hi! How are you?

- [Marta] He's a lawyer.

- [Raúl] It's nice to meet you.

- A lawyer!

- Really?

That is quite a job to have.

- Good to meet you, Raúl.

- Yeah, that's great.

I guess we're not the only ones

with a strong sense of justice.

- [Raúl] Uh-huh?

- In fact, I used to be a prison officer.

- And almost the warden, right?

- Well.

And I worked with some important people

while serving the Ministry of Justice.

- Uh-huh?

- And I know things.

- It's true.

- The kind of things that could

- Honey.

- really ruin someone's career.

No need to be ruining careers, right, Mom?

Come, let's get everyone a drink.

Can I take anyone's coats for them,

you guys?

Thanks, but I'm not sure what you'll do,

since Marta has no coatrack to place them.

I guess the one I got her on Amazon

wasn't cool.

- And whose fault is that? Amazon!

- I'll just toss them in here.

- Ooh! No, I meant the other closet.

- [clattering]

- This is definitely the wrong one.

- [César] Careful there.

- There's always room in here. Uh

- [César] You sure?

First, I have to pee-pee.

You saw that, right?

He went in there with our jackets.

- [sighs]

- [phone buzzing, chiming]

[Gina] Babe, you're so brave.

See? Everyone supports you.

Everyone, please don't forget

to use the hashtag #WeAreRául.

God, Georgina.

Whatever you need just ask,

we're here for you

Raúl, dude, i just heard about

what you're going through

[friend] Yo, yo, yo, Raúl.

It's been a while, dude.

Hey, so, listen, we're here for you, okay?

Don't worry.

You can call us whenever you want.

We're all Raúl, okay?

We got your f*cking back.

What industry are his parents in?

His parents? Uh they're lawyers also.

- Oh, a family of lawyers.

- [César] Well, that's great.

- I brought some wine.

- Ah, great. Thanks for that.

Uh, they work, um

it's for a a big pharma company.

- [César] Ah. How about that!

- Ah.

- All right, let's move to the terrace.

- One moment. I just gotta Uh

Hey, you. A few days ago,

didn't you go on a date?

Yeah.

It all goes quickly these days,

and you're, well, old-fashioned.

Nuh-uh. You are.

- You all right, son?

- Yeah, yeah. Nearly done.

Well, the thing of it is

my cigs are in my jacket.

- [Raúl] Oh.

- Yeah, no, it's not a problem.

But I can't help wonder

Are you all right?

Yeah, yeah. [chuckles]

- What?

- Oh, it's just the prostate.

[César] What do you mean?

The prostate?

- Urinary incontinence.

- But you're so young.

- Yeah, it just came out of nowhere.

- No, it's not that uncommon.

Sometimes stuff like this Man, oh, man.

I have this friend

that's really struggling with it.

- Oh, yeah?

- But he's a bit older, of course.

So, tell us, Raúl, when did you guys meet?

'Cause your sweetheart,

she never shares with us.

- Ah.

- Well, the story is pretty funny.

- Yeah, it is.

- Right?

- Yeah, it's a real beaut.

- It was at a funeral. It was hot.

Weren't you at a funeral

this past weekend?

Yes, Detective. You see, in the spring,

people die left and right, sis.

Seems like a lot of funerals these days,

doesn't it, hmm?

It's a part of life.

If you had any friends, you would know.

Seriously, is your face all right?

We didn't actually meet right then.

We actually first met back in college.

You went to school together?

Yeah. I even had a crush on her

in those days.

Oh, you did, honey?

Well, you succeeded in the end, huh?

[César laughs]

All right, so, tell us,

what are your plans?

Well, first, you know,

parenting, obviously.

Of course.

And we dream of raising him

in my apartment.

When's Raúl moving in? You are moving in?

Well, uh

There was only one toothbrush

in the bathroom. That's weird.

[Marta] Oh, we're in trouble.

- It's the police.

- [Ana] Yeah, I'm the police.

Maybe the FBI will hire you

and make you move to another country.

No, seriously, though,

don't you clean your teeth?

Not with a toothbrush, I don't.

- You don't brush your teeth?

- What exactly are you saying, son?

I know it's not

the traditional way to do it.

And, honestly,

I still have problems with my gums.

Yeah, the blood goes sh**ting, sh**ting

out of his head whenever he brushes.

I'm always like, "Jesus Christ!

You need a tampon in your mouth!"

I mean, can't you brush

without all that happening?

- Well, I do it with, uh

- Hot water.

- Yeah.

- And paper.

Hot water and paper, and that's it.

Much less aggressive and abrasive.

'Cause fluoride, for me,

it's bad, all right?

It affects the cellulose

on your teeth, right?

Shall we toast?

- Yeah, right. Let's.

- Yeah.

Why don't we let Raúl here

speak a few words to the group?

Sure. Why not? Uh

- Well, how about to the family, then?

- Family! Yeah.

Present and future.

- [César] Oh, good one.

- That's beautiful, honey. Here's to love.

- And to love, the thing that has, uh

- [phone chimes]

- [Marta] Cheers.

- [Raúl] drawn us all together. Cheers.

Go ahead, if you need to answer.

Ah, no, no. That's not important.

No worries.

Probably work, right? A big,

important case you're already working?

Come on, you can tell us.

Don't forget what I told you.

The things we know.

Don't get me started on our executives.

- All right, Mom.

- The shady sh*t they've been doing.

Can we cut her off, please?

What? It's a special day.

- Is it the same for you?

- Yeah, it's the same, really.

You know it's dirty,

but you try to stay clean.

- [Celia] How so?

- The lawsuit I'm working on, um

[Marta clears throat]

it was drawn up against

a really big pharmaceutical company.

[Celia] Oh.

Isn't that what your parents

are doing for work?

My parents? Well, they defend a

a pharmaceutical company as well.

- I know you mentioned it.

- Yeah. Yeah, I definitely mentioned it.

How often do you fight a lawsuit

against your own parents?

Well, no, I mean,

it's not against them, obviously.

They're defending a company

and I'm defending a family

that lost their arms

because of a a bad drug interaction.

- It's true.

- They lost their arms?

- Totally armless.

- [César] For the love of God.

- It was so bad. Just horrible.

- From a damn medicine?

The entire family.

The parents, the kids, the pet dog.

What was the dog doing

with their medication?

The dog snatched half a bottle of pills

from the coffee table and [smacks lips]

Same thing. No more doggy arms.

A dog without arms?

I mean, I can't believe it.

- Gosh, how unfortunate.

- Oh, my goodness.

Anyway, so, yeah,

I'm facing off against my parents

in the biggest case of my life.

But whatever. Want some more coffee?

Raúl, with the salad?

Yeah, so, anyway,

it's a little tense lately.

The teeth, the stress, the prostate

- At least you're a lawyer.

- Right, yeah, I am.

We need more coffee.

Come on. I'll help you make it.

[César clears throat]

[sighs] There's no way this is working.

Oh, really? No sh*t, Sherlock.

If we have kids,

will they also be armless?

Why do my parents work

for a pharma company?

I thought we'd discuss Rex.

This'll never work.

- It won't end well.

- No. Just breathe.

Breathe with me, all right, Raúl?

- Raúl

- [gasps]

- Holy cocoa bird! You freaked me out.

- A little jumpy, are we? My bad.

Can I have a moment with my sister?

- Please?

- Uh, yeah, sure.

Okay, what is it? What?

Tell me you're not having a baby

just to keep your apartment.

Well, hey, some do it for less, Ana.

Marta, you'd mortgage your whole life

for walls and a ceiling?

- And a terrace.

- At least he's the father, no?

Ah, no. How could he be when he's

a responsible person, not a drug user?

He is a lawyer? That was true, wasn't it?

Yeah.

No.

- So which is it?

- Well

- Go ahead.

- He's in Human Resources.

- Where?

- Where? At a dealership.

So he's not in Human Resources.

He sells cars.

Look, Ana, I'm gonna ask you a favor,

because I never ask for anything.

Not a word of this to Mom, all right?

- Because you know it'll break her heart.

- I won't say a thing.

- Eh.

- [gasps] Oh, Christ!

Is everyone a ninja in this family?

He's not the father, admit it.

He seems like a good one, too.

[César clears throat] Hmm.

May I give you some advice right now?

Yes, of course.

- Look, I wasn't trying to look.

- Uh-huh.

Because I've always had

this amazing eyesight, you know.

Better than normal.

Even the doctors don't understand it.

I saw your messages.

"I'm so sorry." "Count on me."

"What a bummer."

Yeah. Just so you know,

uh, Marta doesn't know yet

Look, we all have doubts in our lives,

and I totally understand that.

Hey, being a dad is a serious thing,

you know. And it can be terrifying.

Yeah. I was overcome with doubts

when I found out that Celia was pregnant.

- Ah.

- Nearly ran off.

- Oh, yeah?

- Yeah, honestly.

It was just a few hours, because, really,

where the hell was I gonna go, right?

You know in the movies,

they make it seem so easy, but it isn't.

When my senses returned to me,

I started pulling my weight.

My daughter, when she came along,

it was the most beautiful thing

that ever happened to me.

Growing up, we think it's all about us.

But then you have a kid.

That's when you learn that life,

it really goes much deeper

than we even realize.

When you can understand that,

nothing else really matters anymore.

Hey, but you are pregnant, right, honey?

- Yes, she really is.

- Yeah.

You think we'd want you

to stay with someone just to have a baby?

I'm not gonna throw my grandchild

out. You can keep the place.

Oh, booyah, b*tch!

Can we finish this family party now?

Hey, do you think Dad figured it out?

Your father's a big idiot.

- [sighs]

- [sighs]

- Wow. Thanks.

- I am exhausted.

You have got to be the best

fictional boyfriend in all the world.

- [chuckles] Somehow I doubt that.

- [laughs]

But I gave it my best.

I thought we worked as a couple

pretty well overall.

Me too.

By the way, you have a really nice family.

Hey, quick question.

You aren't leaving, are you?

- What?

- Well, it's just that

Hypothetically, we're a couple, aren't we?

Hypothetically, yes, of course.

And, hypothetically,

wouldn't it be kind of weird

if my boyfriend left

after lunch with my parents?

Hypothetically, very strange.

Right, and, hypothetically,

what do we think this couple does now?

[Raúl] Let's see

I've already seen this one.

- [Marta] I'm falling asleep.

- Drama Action

Wanna check a different app?

That'll be the fourth one

we've been through.

Oof, then what's left?

Mm-hmm. Oh, there's this.

It's supposed to be pretty good,

but a tearjerker.

- I don't cry.

- What do you mean? Of course you cry.

Mmm. No. I don't cry from movies.

Have you seen this?

- No.

- Tears will stream.

It's a cartoon movie. [laughs]

- All right.

- You're serious?

- Okay, I warned you.

- Just watch.

- Watch and we'll see how cold you are.

- All right.

- And me.

- Okay.

Okay, here we go.

[sobbing]

This is really sad.

Well, it appears you do cry at movies,

then, Ice.

Well, it's only this one.

I have more in this style if you want.

Put on The Hangover.

[laughs]

- Who am I?

- Sean Penn?

- Mmm.

- That's amazing.

Wait. Here's another. Uh

Uh Clint Eastwood.

Oh, yeah! That's good, that's good! Yeah.

So, this next one,

oh, I can't remember

if the eyebrows start up or down, um

I really am pregnant.

I don't know why I lied to you.

I think that deep down, um,

I still don't wanna face it, you know?

Lately, it feels like

I'm watching my own life, you know?

Like I'm starring in my own reality show.

Mm-hmm.

I'm there, in the middle of a crowd,

just watching from the outside,

and I can see mistake after mistake,

and I just wanna scream at her,

"What are you doing? Are you crazy?"

But then I don't really do anything.

I don't even really react.

Yeah. Believe it or not,

I understand you perfectly. I mean it.

- Yeah?

- Yeah.

My life isn't at all

how I thought it would be, you know?

It's not even like I know

where I'm supposed to be at right now.

Yeah, same here.

It's like I'm just going with the flow

with no idea what to do,

and, at some point, I suppose, the

Like, it would be great

if there were a referendum

and all of Spain just told me

what I should do.

Yeah, but that's not happening.

You gotta make your own decisions.

Confront the reality.

Yeah, but what is reality?

I don't know

what my reality should be either.

[sighs] Maybe it's not being sure

if you want this kid or not.

My God, that was a lot I put on you there.

- No.

- Sorry, dude. I'm a narcissist.

Tell me about you.

You were telling me earlier

about your parents.

I think you said

they were, like, separated or

Like, tell me where you're at in life now.

Are you, like? Dude, what is this?

Are you wanting to kiss me right now?

Uh, yeah, but I couldn't reach

because my chair's awkward,

and then I made it awkward.

No, I mean, it's cool.

- Yeah, kind of.

- These are super awkward, aren't they?

We look like two paraplegics

who are trying to

- Yeah.

- No, no, listen. Let's

What if I sit like this?

[clears throat]

So, where are you at in life, Raúl?

- What are these tattoos?

- These? Well

You haven't seen them yet?

- Wiener dog named Fassbender and

- This one?

Oh, you remember these three?

These guys from the news?

- Encarnita, Josefina, Miguel?

- Mmm

You know, they feel like family.

[both laugh]

- [Marta] Mmm! Mmm.

- [laughs]

[Marta] Dude, so many buttons.

- You're so strong. [laughs]

- [laughs]

[Marta] Okay. Uh

Well, listen, since you're kind of

in that zone that's sensitive an' all,

uh, did you brush your teeth yet?

Because you did put

kind of a lot of nutmeg in that,

and if you didn't brush, then we're gonna

have to go to the ER again, okay?

I've brushed them twice already,

I rinsed them with fluoride,

and I flossed after that.

Wow, you're getting me super wet.

Hi, Raúl. It's your mom.

I saw the WhatsApp group.

What's all this about cancer?

Call me, please.

I'm very worried about all this.

Hi, honey. It's Mom. Please call me back.

What's going on?

[line ringing]

Raúl, sweetheart, tell me what's going on.

- Hi, Mom.

- Everyone keeps calling me.

I'm so confused. What

What's happening? What is it?
