It's kind of designed

Usually comes in a little bit higher.
But on the other side,
the team essentially
has to lowball the player
because they know that they're gonna
have to meet in the middle.
And then a neutral arbitrator
then determines
the player's salary for the next year.

It's a tough process to go through.
That was the pivot moment for me
that it is a business.

that people get feelings hurt
and everything.

It wasn't a process
I wanted to go through,

said all these great things.

their job is to help the management side
and to rip players.
Hearing that you're not worthy
