And that "thing" is my new friend.

I call her Finnie.

Maybe it's a mash-up of the two

called a "whark."

Or a "shale!"

Call her whatever you want.

All I know is that Finnie is my friend.

And she did have her chance

to eat Rosie but didn't.

That has to count for something, right?

Maybe Finnie is just playing nice

so we'll let our guard down

and she can eat us all.

This is too much fun, who's up for a ride?

[gasps] A ride. As in a ride home!

Mia, you've been plotting every day

for a way to get off this island, right?

Well, maybe Finnie is that way!

She's big enough to swim us

across the ocean!

[Finnie whistles]

Who knows how long

it will take to get home

or if Finnie can even find Bird Island.

True. But then again, it's not

like we have any better options, right?

We won't all be able to hang onto

Finnie's fin as she swims.

We're gonna need something to ride in.

And that can haul all our stuff!

[Mia grunts]

We're gonna need a bigger boat!

I have to get Finnie's attention

so she'll turn around.

[thunder cracking]

[Rosie screams]

[both yell]

Can anyone see her?

I can't see anything.

Including the way back to the island!

This is all my fault,

I never should've asked Finnie

to try my dumb plan!

I'm so sorry, friends!

[all yell]

Wait, if you're not the one

saving us, who is?

[all] Whoa.

Okay, so now that

we're not sinking anymore,

how do we get back to the island?

We can't see anything!

[gasps]

[motivational music playing]

[all exclaim]

[Finnie whistles]

- [Mia] We're safe!

[cheers] We did it!

[gasps]

- [Finnie clicks]

- I think that's Finnie's mom.

Which means Finnie's a kid, like us.

[Rosie] You guys

If my plan had worked out

and we made it home,

it would've separated Finnie

from her mama.

And she would've gotten stuck

in the same situation we've been in

since we landed here.

There's no such thing as a bad idea,

when we're trying to find a way home.

And your idea was awesome, Rosie.

Even if it didn't work,

another idea will eventually,

so keep 'em coming.

Speaking of "going home",

I think that's what our friends

in the water are about to do.

[light music playing]

[Finnie whistles]
