John-michael: Woo!
Tyler: Come on, merm.
Keep going.
Narrator: On this
episode of wicked tuna...
Bobby: Hold on.
Watch that wave!
Narrator: Outer banks.
Eric: Holy [bleep], dude!
Narrator: When
every big fish...
Tyler: Nice!
Marissa: Wow! Big boy.
Shane: Jumbo!
Zack: Bigger than our boat.
John-michael: My baby.
Narrator: Takes a bite
out of the quota...
Joe: Every boat out
here right now catches,
the quota is gone.
Narrator: The finish
line may be in sight.
Eric: It's like a
chess game right now.
Narrator: Sooner
than ever before...
Bobby: Hold on,
drew, hold on!
John-michael:
Yeah! Big fish!
Narrator: Pushing captains
beyond their limit...
Marissa: Uh-oh.
Tyler: Oh, [bleep],
I just hit the bar.
Zack: Phew. Woo!
Narrator: To
catch their share.
Zack: We are the real ones.
Shane: Real ones.
John-michael: You
better have a strong heart
when you come out here.
Narrator: With the season
hanging in the balance...
Narrator: Who
will strike gold?
Adam: Come on!
Drew: Come on, john!
Adam: Stick him!
Drew: Come on, john!
Adam: Stick him!
Tyler: Get the reel!
Don't stop! Don't stop!
John-michael: Woo!
Narrator: On
wicked tuna outer banks.
Bobby: This is the beginning
of the end right now.
Narrator: Local boys
kahuna lead while
northern boat pinwheel
runs neck and neck with
southern boats,
rasta rocket and
offshore outlaw.
Meanwhile, hot tuna,
reel e' bugging
and falcon trail behind.
Man [over radio]:
Please do advised
that the general category
atlantic bluefin tuna
fishery quota is currently
37.7 metric tons out
of 49 metric tons for the
current sub quota period.
Adam: It's gonna be
cracking daylight right
as we pull up on scene,
so the old slow boat
has to leave at midnight.
Just ready to get out
here and get on the fish.
We're already
running out of quota.
We started with 49
metric tons to fish on.
If they close
the season tomorrow,
we go home with our tail
tucked between our legs.
Five fish, it's not enough
fish to make a season.
We're still praying
for an extension.
If fishing's good, it
could go real quick.
Eric: Where is everybody else
at this time in the morning?
John-michael:
Probably sleeping in the bed,
which sounds
really good to me.
Eric: Nah.
Adam: I do work more than, I
work more than anybody I know.
Everything that
I do is a 100%.
I gotta take things
to an extreme level.
Like, I can't
halfway do anything.
I bought a house that
was built in 1880.
The termites ate it too bad,
so I tore it down.
Then I built my own house.
90% of it,
I built on my own.
It was 2:00 in the
morning and the neighbor
across the street called and
he said he looked out of
his window and there was
flames 200 feet in the air.
When I got there,
there was nothing
left, literally.
The only option was to get
back at it, build the exact
same house all over again.
Giving up is not an
option in my book.
The bottom line is,
I'm gonna do whatever it
takes to get the job done.
One eye open,
headed out the inlet.
Show these yankees
how to do it.
Tyler: Let's get these lines,
let's get out of here,
let's go and try catch a fish.
Taking a big risk.
Marissa: Just because
the quota's filling up?
Tyler: Yeah, this could
be one of the last days we
get to go fishing because
the quota's getting full and
it's gonna be game over.
I know the weather's gonna be
bad, but I'm taking the risk.
Because we've got four fish
so far and that's not enough.
Since the inlet's rough,
hot tuna and falcon
are gonna head out at
daylight but we need to
catch a couple more because
we're right behind reed.
We've gotta get out
there because we could
still take this thing.
That means pushing
the envelope.
And hopefully today we
could get the job done,
we all catch fish.
Marissa: I'm pretty
stressed right now.
It's scary going
out the inlet.
Nothing like fishing back home
where you know the waters.
And you don't have to
deal with the bridge.
Tyler: Trying to get
through the south span here.
Right now we're dealing with
the tide issues at the bridge.
If there's low tide,
we can't get under
the bridge because
there's not enough water.
Oh, [bleep].
Marissa: Uh-oh! Uh-oh!
Uh-oh! Uh-oh!
Tyler: [bleep].
[bleep].
You get stuck in
between those concrete
pillars at the bridge,
you're worried about
the tide catching you and
throwing you right into the
bridge and bashing your boat
off the concrete until
she eventually sinks.
This is your worst nightmare.
This is what you fear.
This is why you wanna wait,
why you don't wanna go,
why you're scared.
It's like one of those,
"oh, [bleep]," moments.
I'm trying to get us free.
All right.
We're clear.
What a nightmare.
That was [bleep]!
Banks: Which one's
gonna get the first one?
Reed: Definitely not
that ugly thing you're
rigging back there.
Banks: We shall see, buddy.
We shall see.
Reed: I'm putting my
money on this one.
Kahuna's in first place for
the first time this season.
Just finding our groove and
we're already threatened
with the season closing.
Perfection.
We definitely put this
on the northern boats.
This year we've got
more boats fishing on the
grounds every single day than
we've ever seen, and that's
what's evaporating this quota.
That's gonna be the
one right there.
For us, we need to hold on
to that number one spot.
And we need to
make a few more
paychecks before it's over.
Banks: This is gonna be
the winning one right here.
Gonna be the first
one to pop off.
We need to get one early
and be in for breakfast.
Steve: Hell yeah.
Reed: Yeah, that's them.
Look at the mark.
Oh, [bleep].
Banks: Let it happen.
Any day now.
Reed: Got up at work
at [bleep] 2:00 for this?
Come on.
[beeping]
[reel unspooling rapidly]
banks: There he is!
There he is! Woo!
We're hooked up here.
Reed: Come on, crank
some lines up, dummy.
Woo!
Banks: We're on!
You might want to bump it.
Reed: Huh?
Banks: He's just coming
at me or something.
Reed: Good. Good.
You got him or what?
Banks: I got him, but he
doesn't know he's hooked.
I told you that'd be the
first one to go down.
Reed: Huh?
Banks: Bump it ahead.
Here it comes.
Reed: Keep that thing
tight in this swell.
Banks: Swivel!
Reed: Okay.
Reed: Shark.
Banks: Sharked up.
Reed: Why?
Aye, yai, yai.
Banks: For the record, that
was the first rod to go off.
Reed: That's definitely not
the bite we're looking for.
But it was a bite.
Got me all excited
for nothing.
Get 'em back out.
The quota's running out,
so we don't want to miss
a day if we can help it.
We're not gonna push
it to the limit.
Even though we hadn't
caught in days, we're still
in third place behind the
kahuna and the pinwheel.
So I think we've
proved our point.
We're the real deal.
But if the season ends
today, we still got families
to feed and bills to pay.
Zack: So we
gotta get out there.
Zack: The bar is
a transition point from
the sound to the ocean.
It's a sandbar where the water
depth constantly varies from
very deep to very shallow.
When ocean swells
break on the bar,
the waves can be treacherous,
so it's especially
challenging to get across
safely in our little boat.
If we take one of those waves
over our bow, we could sink.
Zack: Phew!
Phew!
Daniel: Good job, zach.
Pretty work.
Zack: I think we're
really showing these boys
that we mean business.
Bobby: Let's get on the meat.
We overslept by about an hour.
Tried to wake up at
1:30, it didn't work.
We got up at about 2:30,
we didn't get up to the
dock until about 3:34.
Still, it's still
morning time.
Conditions are rough,
and not many captains
have the ba*ls to be
out here with us today.
But with the quota nearly
gone we don't have an option.
You know, outlaw is
putting the pressure on.
Outlaw may be
struggling right now,
but I believe they may
be our biggest competition.
When you come down to
the dock no matter what time
and outlaw's already gone,
that's a guy's who's hardcore.
No one I know outside
of outlaw and us has the
drive to win this thing.
It's internal.
I always say,
"second place is
first place for losers."
the objective is to get
quick fish and get home.
Hold on!
Bobby: Yeah! Big mark.
I got a mark.
[reel unspooling rapidly]
brian: There it is.
There it is.
Bobby: Yeah, we're tight.
It's wild!
Bobby: Biblical.
Brian: Bugging out.
Bobby: Hold on, drew.
Hold on, man. Hold on!
Bobby: Yeah,
story of your life.
First of all, it's hard to
fish in these conditions.
With the boat jerking
up and down, you're more
likely to pull a hook.
Put undue stress on the line.
Drew: Holy [bleep].
Bobby: Hold on, drew!
Hold on! [bleep].
Brian: Hell, yeah.
Brian: Yeah, yeah.
You ready?
Drew: Yeah.
Bobby: We getting some
of that mono back?
He's got a little fight
in him, this [bleep].
Drew: Yeah.
Bobby: Big country.
Drew: Big country.
Bobby: We're pinwheeling up.
Show 'em how it's done, brian.
There you go, there you go.
We're gonna pull
his head right out.
Hold on, brian!
Watch that wave.
Hold on!
Brian: All these rough seas
are making it a little tough,
but we're getting close.
Bobby: We're gonna chase
him down right now, brian.
Big swell!
Brian: Put it in forward!
Forward!
Bobby: I'm in forward!
Brian: All right,
all right, all right.
I got leader.
Bobby: Drew, take over.
Forward!
Bobby: Right down
right here, right?
Hold on. Hold on. Hold on.
Hold on. Hold on. Hold on.
Booyah!
Hey, boy. Yeah!
Get me that gaff!
Bobby: All right,
get a tail rope.
Brian: I got the tailrope.
All right.
Brian: I am.
I got it.
I released it.
Brian: All right.
[inaudible] the gaff, gaff.
Bobby: I need another gaff.
Brian: Got it right here!
And as it's spinning,
it's getting worse.
The line's caught in the
propeller and we could cut
this fish off at any second.
We don't want to
lose this fish.
Gaff, gaff.
Brian: Got it right here!
Yeah, you all right?
One, two, three.
One, two!
Come on, you [bleep]!
It's hung up on a rope.
Oh, [bleep].
I got to cut the harpoon line.
Get me a knife.
Drew: There's my scissors
right there, bobby.
Right there.
Bobby: Okay.
Pull him as best you can.
Brian: I can't, bobby.
Bobby: Hang on.
Brian: I need your help.
Bobby: 1, 2...
Yeah, boys!
Look at that fat [bleep], bro.
Drew: Yeah, baby!
Look at the [bleep]
shape on this fish.
Drew: Yup.
Bobby: All right.
Bobby: Yo, I'm gonna
bump this forward.
See what we got.
Hey, let's get a
measurement, bri.
Brian: 86.
Bobby: Nice.
Reel e' bugging,
heading home, heading home.
Bobby [over radio]:
Suck it, outlaw!
John-michael: Bugs
caught one, but they
better bring their a-game.
Eric: Especially for
some guy that squashes
bugs for a living.
God, I hope we get
tight right now.
Marciano: I'm feeling the
trolling bite today, guys.
Travis: It's just kind of down
to the wire on the quota, huh?
Marciano: Yeah, yeah,
we're getting there,
we're getting there.
Joe: Any day now
it's gonna be over.
Marciano: I suppose we
shoulda left a little earlier.
I heard tyler hit a sandbar
at the bridge this morning.
So I know I made the
right call by coming
out at daylight.
I feel better doing it in
the daylight when I can see
everything that's going on.
We're gonna ease on into
this fishing day yankee style.
Show up late, catch
one, and come home.
Drew: Bedbugs bite
when you're sleeping.
Dennis: Wow, you
got it dialed in.
Bobby: He's a fat boy.
Dennis: All right,
let's chop this up.
Bobby: Come on, fat boy.
Ah, yeah.
All right, dennis.
What do we got?
Dennis: 323 pounds
dressed, bugs.
Bobby: Bam! Let's take
a look at this bad boy.
Dennis: Let's do it.
Bobby: The buyer's gonna
assess the meat on this tuna,
and if the fat content is
high and the core is clear,
it's gonna be a
great paycheck for us.
All right, dennis.
What do we got here?
Dennis: We're seeing
some nice fat here.
Very, very, dense
in the minor lobes.
Bobby: Oh, that is awesome.
Dennis: Very nice fish.
Bobby: So bottom line?
Dennis: $23 a pound, guys.
Bobby: Nice!
Drew: That's great.
Bobby: We'll go get
you another one first
thing in the morning.
Dennis: Thanks, guys.
Be safe.
Bobby: We shook
off all the demons.
We're ready to rock right now.
However, if the season ended
today, I'd be out of options.
I'd be back to
k*lling bedbugs.
This is the beginning
of the end right now.
Tj: You can get the squids
out if you want, jarrett.
I'm gonna put the
stick out this morning.
Jarrett: All right.
Tj: We're gonna weave the
stream, see if we can get
a bite and get out of here.
We started out extremely
strong this season.
But right now we're
in fifth place and it's
definitely hard to take.
With the quota getting
eaten up so fast like
full-on pac-man, the season
could be over any time.
So it's more critical
than ever that we catch.
Mike: Watch out, girls.
Watch out.
Tj: A little more choppy
than it was supposed to be
but, let's see what happens.
Mike: It's time
to make it count.
The stick's out, time to fish.
[beeping]
tj: We got fish on the screen.
Here they are.
There's a good mark.
Good mark.
Keep jigging.
We're gonna get him.
They are definitely here.
[beeping]
mike: Come on, baby.
Come on.
Game on, baby.
Jarrett: Come on, baby!
Mike: Breaker just exploded.
I don't know what it is.
I can't see it.
Just the breaker broke.
Tj: Oh, come on.
Mike: There was no
explosions or nothing.
Turn the hydraulics on.
Tj: No, I don't think so.
Mike: Wait a minute.
Something on here.
This is him.
This is the wave now too.
Jarrett: Come on, baby.
Mike: He's head-shaking
a lot too, so.
Let's see what's
going on here.
Tj: We gotta get this one.
With the quota running out,
you never know which
one will be your last.
Mike: Shaking its head.
Look at his head shake.
Mike: Looks like one.
Tj: No doubt about it.
Mike: There he is.
Tj: Stick him!
Jarrett: I got him.
Mike: Tj, get a gaff.
Where is he?
Where is he?
I got him.
I got him.
Get a tail gaff.
Tj: Tail rope.
Right here, on my right.
Woo!
Jarrett: That's a good
feeling right there, buddy.
Mike: [bleep], yeah!
Jarrett: We were only
out maybe two minutes.
It's a good feeling.
We got him, we're heading
back west and it's
not even light out yet.
Tyler: Tj got a fish.
That must be nice.
Marissa: I was
just gonna say that.
Tyler: It's do or
die time for us.
We are just [bleep]
cheerleaders?
Tj's tuna just takes one
more bite out of the quota
and puts us one step closer
to a quick end to the season.
Mike: Let's pull him up.
Nice unit. Beauty.
Tj: All right, boys.
Let's measure him up.
Mike: 88-inches.
Tj: Good job, bubbaloni.
Jarrett: Ain't life grand?
Tj: We're back in the game.
We're heading west.
Jarrett: Woohoo!
Mike: We needed this one.
Quota's filling up fast.
This was a blessing.
Tj: All right, the
pelicans are flying west.
Tj [over radio]: I'm 631-772.
I'm towing one.
Adam: Dammit!
What in the hell?
Tj [over radio]:
Ninety-incher.
Eric: Who got one?
Tj got one?
Adam: I guess.
We work so damn hard to
take care of our families.
And to see a northern
boat catching our share
of a piddly little quota,
it just pisses me off.
Eric: Hot tuna
just k*lled one.
John-michael:
[bleep], man.
Tyler: Come on, merm.
It's our turn.
Gotta get another
one for the north.
[beeping]
marissa: Huge mark.
Huge mark.
Tyler: Tuna?
Marissa: Three of them.
A couple huge on
top of each other.
Tyler: All right.
Marissa: At the 30.
Tyler: Oh, yeah, there's
a big pack of them, merm.
Big, big pack of them.
[beeping]
[reels unspooling rapidly]
yes! Yes! On two!
Double, double!
Give me hydros.
Give me hydros.
Marissa: We're on!
Tyler: Pick a rod, merm.
Pick a rod.
Marissa: We're on a double?
Tyler: Yeah,
we're on a double.
Get some, merm.
Reel, reel, reel, reel, reel!
Okay.
Go on that other rod.
This is a big one, right here.
Try and see if
it's under or over.
Marissa: I think it's over.
Tyler: Double
hook up for sure.
Two rods on and
they're crossing.
We're limited to only one
fish per day, so we can
only keep one of these.
But if the lines cross,
they could break off and
we'll end up with nothing.
Here, merm.
Reel this one in.
This one in.
Go to town on that one.
This thing's gonna, we're
gonna get spooled on this one.
Tj [over radio]:
I hope tyler scores
one more for the north.
Tyler: Oh, yours is gone.
Reel that in.
Oh,[bleep], we're gonna
lose this fish, merm.
You gotta get some line.
You gotta get line,
gotta get line.
You gotta get line,
gotta get line.
Don't lose him!
Don't stop!
Don't stop!
You gotta get line,
gotta get line.
We hooked a double
and lost one.
And now this jumbo's running
away with all our line.
Get reel.
Don't stop.
If we don't get our line
back, we're gonna lose him.
Don't stop.
Don't stop!
Mike: Oh, merm's
getting drenched.
Tyler: Come on, merm.
Keep going.
He might have come off.
Marissa: With the
quota running out,
I am not giving up.
Oh, no!
He's not here.
He's gone.
[bleep].
This is terrible.
We can't afford
to lose this fish.
Tj: They're airing
out right there.
All right, we're going home.
Good luck.
Tyler: Just pulled him off.
Sucks.
Joe: Looks like our
northern friend tj got a fish.
I guess tyler lost them both.
That's a shame.
Marciano: Tj come out.
Thirty seconds, he
got a [bleep] bite.
Got it on the stick
and [bleep] going home.
Joe: Every boat out
here right now catches.
The quota is gone
just like that.
That's how fast it can end.
Travis: Pretty much.
John-michael: Look!
Two-tones, two-tones
jumping out of the water.
Look at that. Yeah!
They're having fun this
morning, ain't they?
Adam: Come on!
Give me a bite, please.
The quota's getting
full and we need to catch
as many of these fish as
we can in a short
amount of time.
We do want to win this
competition and take
the lead from kahuna.
But right now, it's all
about catching some
final paychecks so we can take
care of our families.
We're marking 'em.
Come on!
Come on!
Look at them marks, dude.
Come on.
Gonna happen, right here.
[reel unspooling rapidly]
john-michael: Hey. Fish on!
There he is!
We got him.
Yeah, baby! Yeah!
Eric: Come on. Ready?
This is our fish.
I want my hook back he took.
A lot of money, 300 feet
under this boat right now.
Adam: Keep him tight.
John-michael: Tight,
tight, tight, tight.
Adam: Coming up.
Eric: Coming up.
John-michael: Reel,
reel, reel, reel, reel, reel.
Eric: Smart fish.
It's like a chess
game right now.
We react to every
move he makes.
Adam: He pretty much goes
wherever he wants to go.
Eric: Got him in a pinwheel.
John-michael: Come on, baby.
Show me some color.
Eric: Color!
All right, reverse.
Pinwheels are getting smaller.
Swivel!
John-michael: Swivel.
Eric: He's under the boat!
Adam: This could
be our last fish. Come on.
We can't lose this one.
Eric: Holy [bleep], dude.
Adam: Get ready, john!
John-michael: Forward!
Forward! Forward! Forward!
Eric: Forward! Forward!
Adam: Stick him, john!
Come on! Come on!
John-michael: I missed.
Adam: [bleep]!
John-michael: I missed.
Adam: [bleep], dude.
Come on! Right in your face.
Don't thread the damn thing!
You got a 12-foot long pole.
Dammit!
All right, john.
Get ready.
Eric: All right, john!
Adam: Stick him, john.
You got him?
John-michael: I did get him.
Adam: Is he ours?
John-michael: He's locked in.
He's locked in.
Adam: Is he ours?
John-michael: He's locked in.
He's ours.
Adam: Yes! Payday.
John-michael: Yeah!
Adam: I'm the greatest
man in the world! Whoo.
Offshore outlaw to the top.
John-michael: Whoo!
Adam: Pretty work, dude.
Pretty work.
John-michael: Ugh.
He's a fat, little thing, man.
What do we got?
Adam: 85, nice.
We'll take him to the bank.
Oh, boy.
Kicking a*s and taking names.
John-michael: Hell yeah.
Tj: We bagged him,
we tagged him.
I'm gonna sell him to
the buyer on the shore.
What's the quota looking like?
Probably got a few
more trips out of it?
Dennis: Yeah, that's my bet.
Let's see what you got.
299-pounds, tj.
Tj: We'll take that.
Dennis: Let's check it out.
Tj: All right. Cool.
This season could be
closed any day now.
We need every
paycheck to matter.
It'd be great if every
fish was six, seven grand.
That's for sure.
Dennis: Pretty nice
tail color here.
There's fat all the way
through the meat here.
Tj: Let's check out the core.
Dennis: Really nice.
Tj: What can you do for us?
Dennis: $23 a pound.
Mike: Whoo.
Tj: Hey, now! Sold.
Jarrett: Thank you, buddy.
Dennis: Thanks, guys.
Tj: All right, buddy.
We're gonna turn and burn.
There's not a lot
of quota left.
We got to roll.
Dennis: Very good.
I hope I see you tomorrow.
Tj: You know, we've got to be
out there every possible day
because quota's gonna be gone.
Adam: I love it when
a plan comes together.
Scott: You wanna get
it up, check it out?
John-michael: Yes, sir.
Adam: Let's do it.
Plump little thing.
Scott: Good to see that.
283-pounds, dressed.
John-michael:
Pretty little fish, man.
Scott: Check out the tail cut.
John-michael: Let's do it.
Adam: Right now,
we're looking for a
high quality fish and
a big paycheck
for our families.
Oh, boy.
What do we got?
Scott: Nice little fish here.
Yeah. Got a lot of
fat in the minors.
How about we check
out this core?
Adam: Let's do it.
Scott: That looks good.
Adam: What do you
think you'll be able
to do for us, scott?
Scott: With that good core.
Good shape on the fish.
We'll have to
get you guys...
20 bucks a pound.
Eric: Yes, sir.
John-michael: Yeah! Yeah.
Yes, sir.
I like that.
Scott: All right, guys.
Well, hopefully, we'll
see you again tomorrow.
John-michael:
I appreciate it.
Scott: Good job, guys.
Nice fish.
Eric: Thank you.
Scott: See you later.
John-michael:
Yeah! Payday, son!
Daniel: We're all
ready to catch fish.
Zack: Come on, baby!
We need you on this one.
Right now, we're not ready
for the season to be over with.
In years past, there's
been a few extensions,
but it's not a given
and we can't bank on it.
I'm hoping for the best,
but I'm not seeing it.
If we can just get a
tuna to bite, that'd
be half the battle.
Come on, baby.
Give us ours.
Daniel: Anytime now.
Zack: That would be nice,
wouldn't it?
We're marking 'em
at a hundred foot.
Come on, baby!
Give us ours.
[reel unspooling rapidly]
there you go.
Fish on, baby!
We got him!
Get him, shane!
Get him, get him, get him!
Come on, baby.
We need you.
You gonna clear those lines?
Stay on, baby.
Please, we need you.
Zack: Good?
Daniel: Good.
We got to seal the deal.
We got to make
sure we get him.
Everybody's just kind
of on pins and needles
on whether they're gonna
let us keep fishing...
So I'm just gonna keep
saying one more until
they tell us to stop.
It's all you, dan.
Just giving and
taking right now.
Daniel's getting a little bit
and he's taking a little bit.
Just trying
to wear him down.
Take it easy.
Big fish. Big fish.
Color, deep color.
Daniel: Okay.
A lot of color.
Zack: There's the swivel.
Shane, man.
Please don't miss this one.
Are you ready?
Take the shot.
Take the shot!
Get him. Get him.
Go, go, go!
Daniel: Tail gaff.
Tail rope.
Tail rope. Gaff!
Hurry up.
Hurry up.
Hurry up, man.
Zack: Five!
Hell yeah, dude!
Whoo!
Daniel: Pretty work.
Zack: Rasta rocket!
Zack: Whoo, brother!
We got him.
Ain't that right?
Damn it feels good, boys.
Number five. Whoo!
We needed one more paycheck
bad before the season closes.
So we got a lot to feel
good about right now.
94, all day.
Whoo.
We the real ones.
We are the real ones.
Shane: The real ones.
Zack: Whoo!
That feels good
right there, boys.
John-michael:
Everybody else is hooked up.
Look at that.
Eric: This sucks.
We caught this fish
yesterday, but we know
we're running out of time.
So we have to fish as
hard as we can, man.
If this is not successful,
we lose everything we got.
Adam: Yeah, I gotcha.
Zack: There's cheerleaders
all under us right now.
Adam: I gotcha.
Marissa: Oh, come on.
Tyler: The southern
guys have an advantage.
They fish out here year-round.
Marissa: What are we thinking?
Tyler: I'll probably
be moving down there.
We'll find a tuna somewhere.
Marissa: I guess so.
Zack: Get yours, guys.
Good luck.
Adam: Yup.
I need all the luck I can get.
Zack: We got ours, and
hopefully, he'll get his.
So even though we're battling
it out in this competition,
they have three families
to support on that boat
and I wanted them to make
sure they had a paycheck.
Eric: Slow down a second.
Adam: What?
Eric: Slow down.
Adam: We're marking
the piss out of them.
Whoo!
Zack [over radio]:
All right, man.
Get yours, buddy.
Eric: There he is!
Got 'em on!
John-michael: Fish on!
Eric: Got 'em on!
John-michael:
Got 'em on. Come on!
Adam: You got him?
John-michael: Go!
Zack: He's on.
Look, just like that, they
just got tight right there.
Helping out the homeboys.
Zack [over radio]:
Glad we could help
you out there, cuz.
Adam [over radio]:
Dude, right on, man.
Marciano: Got no luck.
Been 100 [bleep] bites this
morning and not one for us.
Adam: Got 'em on! Yeah!
Reed [over radio]:
Damn, the outlaw is tight.
Why not?
John-michael: Yeah, baby!
Back in action.
Fish is tight, baby.
We need him.
Eric: This is our
guy right here.
Adam: Rasta rocket
put us on this fish.
Eric: There he goes.
[reel unspooling]
fish is strong.
John-michael: He's tight.
Adam: Crank, crank, crank!
John-michael: More,
Come on.
Eric: Holy [bleep].
Turn around close.
Adam: What just happened?
Eric: He just turned and
came right at the boat.
Ready?
John-michael: Yup.
Adam: How's it feel, john?
John-michael: Fish
is acting really weird.
Whoa!
Adam: What was it?
Eric: Just busted the water.
Just came up,
made a huge splash.
Bluefin!
John-michael: He's taking it.
Eric: What's going on?
Is he gone?
John-michael: I don't know.
I felt him kicking bad.
But he's still there.
Holy [bleep].
Adam: Just keep
him tight, dude.
John-michael: [bleep].
He got loose there.
He's off.
Man, what the hell?
He's taking it back out now.
I ain't never seen
nothing like this.
Eric: That's three
times he's done that.
John-michael:
Still taking it. Ready?
Eric: Yeah.
John-michael: Dude, I
ain't ever seen that.
Adam: I thought
we lost him twice.
John-michael: I
thought three times.
He just goes limp.
You'll feel it
hitting the line.
Then it goes limp.
I don't understand.
Then he runs right
back to the boat.
I don't know how
we still got him.
Adam: I don't know either.
Eric: This is just a
epic battle going on
right here right now.
John-michael: Get
it back tight now.
Eric: I am.
Just get ready.
John-michael: Yup.
Eric: There he is,
swimming on the top.
Talk to me, john.
What's he doing?
John-michael: Here, you
might have to take back over.
I can't feel my hand.
Eric: Block the pain, john.
Block the pain.
Getting anything?
John-michael:
Yeah. [bleep].
I don't know why we
like this so much.
It's so damn stressful.
It's got to be taking
years off our life.
You got to have a strong
heart when you come out here.
Adam: There he is.
God almighty.
John-michael: Come on, baby.
We need this one, bad.
Eric: Go, adam, go!
John-michael: Get up front.
Eric: Go, adam, go!
Adam: I see him.
I can't see the line.
Stick 'em, john.
[bleep] can't see in the sun.
John-michael: If I hit
that line and we lose him,
I will never
hear the end of it.
Eric: John, this side.
John-michael: I'm on you.
Eric: Come on, john!
Stick him!
Come on, john!
Stick him!
John-michael:
Yeah! Yeah!
Eric: It ain't over.
It ain't over.
John-michael:
He's tail whipping the
hell out of that line.
Adam: That fish is huge.
He's running.
Eric: It's not over.
Adam: Hurry up
and get the buoys.
Got to slow him down.
John-michael: Watch out!
Buoys coming out.
Damn, what a fish.
Holy cow.
Adam: Look at the ba*ls
right there going under.
John-michael: Look.
Adam: Look.
John-michael: I'm telling you,
he's a big damn fish, dude.
Eric: He's pulling
the dart ball under.
Adam: Look at that.
John-michael: He's fat, man.
Eric: Thank god we put
that other ld on there.
John-michael: Yeah,
what adam was saying.
Eric: Holy [bleep].
Look at him pulling
them [bleep] under, man.
Adam: This thing is
like freaking jaws, son.
John-michael: This is unreal!
Eric: Look at him pulling
them [bleep] under, man.
Adam: This thing is
like freaking jaws, son.
John-michael: This is unreal.
Eric: Get another
dart rigged up.
John-michael:
I'm shaking, son.
He's a big fish,
a real big fish.
Come on, baby.
Eric: Look at that!
This thing is a beast.
John-michael: Damn,
I'm a nervous wreck.
Adam: We got this.
We're gonna get this monster
if it's the last thing we do.
Eric: Forward!
John-michael: Forward!
Eric: He's going
under the boat!
He's going under the boat!
John-michael: Forward,
forward, forward, forward!
Eric: Watch it, john!
Easy, easy.
Hold on. I got him.
I got him.
Hold him. Hold him.
Hold him. Stick him!
John-michael: Yes!
John-michael: Yeah!
Eric: Woo-hoo!
John-michael: Holy
[bleep], what a fish.
Oh, my god!
Hurry up, get something.
Gaff, something.
I don't care what it is.
Adam: Tail rope!
John-michael:
Holy cow, what a fish.
Ugh. I can't get it.
Yeah! Yeah! Whoo!
Big amount of fish.
Eric: What a b*stard, son.
John-michael: Yeah!
Eric: What a b*stard.
John-michael:
Yeah! Biggest fish
of the year too, baby.
Damn he's round.
Whoo! Yeah!
Adam: One, two, three.
John-michael: Yes, sir!
Whoo!
Whoo!
Woo-hoo!
Eric: Look at that
butterball right there.
Adam: This is a
nice one, dude.
John-michael: This fish
is big for us right now
because this might be our
last fish of the season.
Whoo!
Adam: 96.
Eric: Whoo!
John-michael: Whoo!
Adam: Pretty work fellas.
But he's a fat 96.
Eric: I owe rasta rocket
at least a 12-pack.
John-michael: At
least a 12-pack.
Reed: We suck.
It's called loser's ledge.
Quite familiar with the place.
Bad thing is if I
knew there was more quota,
I know I'd come ahead,
but we're gonna get [bleep].
We don't know what the
government's gonna do.
They could give us more quota,
but years past,
sometimes they give
us a little bit,
sometimes they close
it down and we never hear
from them until the next year.
Nobody knows.
Banks: What are you gonna do?
Reed: [bleep].
Momma said there'd
be days like these.
Bill: What's up, guys?
Good to see you again.
Zack: We ain't forgot
how to catch 'em.
Bill: Let's bring her on up.
Zack: What's it weigh?
Bill: 388-pounds.
Daniel: We'll take that.
Zack: Yeah.
Bill: See what that
inside looks like.
Zack: We'll see you over here.
We're just about running
on empty quota wise.
So if this is gonna be
our last fish of the season,
we're really counting on it
to be a big money fish.
This is gonna tell the tale.
Bill: Yeah, not a bad
looking tail cut so far.
Got some fat right
in the minors there.
Let's see what this
core's looking like.
Pretty light.
Nice and translucent.
Zack: What you think, man?
What's the bottom
you can do on?
Bill: Bottom dollar is...
$21 a pound.
Zack: 21! Yeah, man.
We'll see ya, man.
Bill: Yup. Y'all be careful.
Congratulations.
Zack: Let's go to the house.
Adam: Can't hold
the outlaw down.
How's the quota looking?
Scott: Well, it's
getting pretty full now.
Adam: Always hear the
rumors of extensions, but
it rarely doesn't happen.
Scott: See what happens.
Adam: That's right.
Wait till you see how
fat this sucker is.
Scott: Want to get it up,
check it out?
Adam: Yeah, let's do it.
Scott: Yeah, not bad.
Good shape.
Adam: He's round.
So, what do we got, scott?
Scott: You got
500 pounds even.
Eric: Nice.
Adam: Nice fish.
Eric: Yeah.
John-michael: Come on, baby!
Scott: Let's take some tail
cuts and cores, we'll see.
Adam: Yeah, I mean
this is the biggest fish
we've caught this season.
I hope it's gonna
be a nice fish.
We'll find out right
here in a minute.
I'm just really hoping we get
some big money for this fish.
Not only for our families,
but it would be
great if we could make
enough to take the lead.
Scott: Nice fish, guys.
Loaded with fat in the toro.
Really greasy too.
Adam: Hope this
core looks good.
John-michael: Oh, yeah.
Scott: Not bad.
Well, bottom line.
Get you guys...
John-michael: Oh, man.
Come on, scotty.
Scott: $25 a pound.
John-michael:
Yes! Yeah! Boom!
Scott: Man, you guys did good.
I'd be excited too, man.
That's a good
payday right there.
John-michael: Yeah.
Scott: Good job.
John-michael: Just shows
you how hardcore we are.
Whoo!
Adam: Outlaw!
Narrator: For the
first time this season,
offshore outlaw's
two fish haul jumps them
to the top.
While rasta rocket's
catch keeps them in third.
Meanwhile, hot tuna
moves ahead of pinwheel,
but reel e' bugging's
$7,500 paycheck isn't
enough to move up.
Tyler: Do we have
any quota updates?
Reed: I got your quota update.
Tyler: All right,
lay it on me.
Reed: We're [bleep].
Tyler: Oh, my god.
Reed: No.
We got a little bit of a
reprieve from the quota.
Reed: They gave
us 26 extra tons.
Tj: No [bleep], huh?
Reed: We're gonna try
to take advantage of
every minute of that.
John-michael:
We're stoked about it.
We're gonna go out here
and try to do everything
we can to put as many fish
across the deck as we
can before it ends again.
Adam: We're in the
lead right now.
And if the season would have
ended, we would have won.
But if you don't catch
enough fish to pay the bills,
it's not much of a victory.
Marciano: It'll give us
a chance to get caught up
on this leaderboard here.
And do a little more damage.
Tyler: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Let's keep going.
Let's keep going.
It's like whoo!
I'm so excited.
Hell yeah.
Marissa: Whoo!
